i love welding and almost hate the fact that i can't weld anymore on this car! but i also really wand to have it painted and start building her up again! with you guys offcourse!

Interesting to see the differences various model years can have. The structure, materials and fixing methods are quite different compared to my Amazon. As always, you are doing a very thorough job. This will be a very nice car once it is done. Looking forward to the next part in the restoration process!

Nice progress being made. Keep it up. I purchased a new headliner for my Amazon, but have not yet taken out the old. I have seen a UA-cam video of the headliner being replaced on a PV544, and the process should be the same for the Amazon. You should be able to do it just fine, but I'll wait to replace mine untill I've seen you do it. I'd rather you make the mistakes i can learn from. ;)

🎄Ceiling fabric really crunchy if it old.☀️ Right, it never return in its place if it removes. Rear row looks great! Where is the armrest??? 🛋️Very convinient with it, but absent here.🪑🪑 Armrest must be in rear seats. Fake leather lasts more longer. Metal shining like new one! 🛠️⛽🛣️
Yeah the flat stuff was nice but the corners were crunchy.
My car was from 1969 and delivered without armrest. If you check my build code and serial numbers you see thay my car has color code 99 , black leather seats with no headrests and no rear armrest,
Did you do any rust repair in the rear wheel arches ?
On my 1800ES, I’m making patch panels to repair the center seams on both rear arches .
Floor and rocker panels are surprisingly fine .
My floor is almost flawless. Some minor places and the spot in the left front but that was easier to replace a big piece than to weld in multiple spots.
I haven't done any wheel well rust repair. I did one little corner left rear and one little piece when welding in the ribble plate and trunk pieces. But no big fenders or anything scary.
I also have to install a new headliner in my Amazon, because there was none when I bought the car. Strange thing is, that I can't find those "ribs" how you named them. Not one store has them on sale. Does anyone know where I can get them?? 🥲
Do you mean the ones that go inside the headliner? Of the strips with the hooks on the side of the roof?
I think you can get some like 4mm steel rods and bent the ribs yourself. They don't look that hard to make from scratch.
