    Your lessons are always concise and go straight to the point, which is not common. You are very well documented and explain things in a way that even a beginner can comprehend. Thanks for sharing. Please keep up the good work. It's really appreciated.

    Excellent. It also reinforces the idea of playing new pieces very slowly, so you can plan how much pressure, where, is needed.

    I graduated on guitar in the sixties. Back then we never or rarely heard about the important techniques the teachers nowadays are aware of. No wonder there are so many great guitar players now! Very good work Gohar: you are really getting into details and I am still learning with your videos.

    cleaning the barre can be difficult especially full ones; what helped me is pulling my arm down without expending more hand pressure!

    Really appreciate these videos, you take the time to explain all the details of a technique, which so many other instructors just gloss over. I always find something I can actually use in your videos. Thanks!

    This is great and will help me with the first bars of the F section of Capricho Arabe. Thanks for posting, Gohar. It was great to meet you at the CGC Summer School and to have the privilege of a lesson with you. Hope everything is going great for you. All best, Myles

    Very good advice on 'guitar efficiency': minimum input for maximum output. Explains why the likes of John Williams (and indeed Gohar) appear to play so effortlessly. If I may add one thing: choose low tension strings. Thanks for this 'lessonette' (a fine and funny interlingual neologism).

    Do you rotate your index finger at all and play more on the side of your finger? Or do you keep your finger square? I can't quite tell, but it looks like your finger is square...

    Great lesson. The imaginary string at the elbow made a lot of sense. Thanks!

      Its probably due to your lack of finger dexterity. Doing individual finger exercises goes a long way

    Thanks for your video. This video touches on two things that are troubling me right now: bar chords and guitar stability. Your video provides me with excellent tips for bar chords. In the video, I see that you have a cloth on your legs where you place your guitar. Is that a special cloth that you have on your legs to keep the guitar from slipping? If so, could you please let me know where you get/buy it? Also, could you please let me know the brand/name of the cloth? Thanks and take care.

    • @GoharVardanyan
      @GoharVardanyan 8 років тому

      +wrassmussen Thank you! The cloth is actually just a grip shelf liner. They come in different colors and different brands. I don't use any specific brand, just prefer to have them thin and flexible. I hope that helps.

      Ok. Thank you for letting me know. I will make sure to buy some of that liner. Take care and I look forward to your next video.

      +Gohar Vardanyan Just a heads up about the shelf liner; I used it for some time and then discovered that it can mottle and even melt some finishes. I have used suede leather patches.
      Great videos - well done.

      +wrassmussen FIY, I use suede leather pieces on both legs. I bought them pieces at Hobby Lobby; it was very inexpensive.
