I use leave in conditioner or curl creme, along with gel and hairspray. I have thick 2C high porosity type hair. If it's humid where you live, these are a game changer. I scrunch out the crunch with a silk/satin scarf for no frizz. Gel is real good for air drying as well. My hair also likes protein. Make sure to balance protein and moisture as well.

Stop paying so much attention to the ends of the hair. Crunch out the roots and mids. Your ends need more hold because that's the part that frizzes the most. A little scrunch is fine. Same with people who use a towel on their ends when wet to squeeze out extra water and product. All you're going to get is defined roots and mids and frizzy ends. Sure this technique could like fine when finished, but just wait a few hours or get some exposure to the elements.

@@N08R76H easily. Water can weigh your curls down really badly, and it can cause your curls to frizz after drying if not done properly. It's a major issue for people with thin hair or weak curls like me. Most people don't close every single opening in their bathroom and keep it at a consistent hot temperature for it to still be that humid after they shower and go though their entire haircare routine, especially one that requires gel/spray and blow/air drying. Some have to preform freaking hair Olympics for their locks to behave, and saying that someone overcomplicates things because your hair doesn't require that much attention is...
