    Dude keep them coming, as always I love your videos and never change that intro, I love that song. Your videos are very informative, I come to them when I am debating what ship to buy.

    I 100% agree since this is supposed to be a solo ship, to stop hull scrapping so you have to make your way to the cargo area, eject 1 SCU and move it over is a pain. I understand with physicalized cargo having boxes not just pop into existence and require moving them around makes it more realistic to how it will be going forward, but even adding an automated eject and stacking process or something the pilot can switch to do remotely makes more sense.

    While I've only managed to play for about 15min in 3.18 LIVE. The Vulture was a ton of fun in the PTU. Easily one of my favorite ships and I much prefer salvage to mining so far.
    Great review as always 😀

    They really need to add some kind of auto box stacking mechanism for the fill station. Even if it was something like the station just spitting the box out loose so you could let a few build up inside the hold before going back and manually stacking them.

      yeah, at least let us get 3 boxes filled before we have to move them around. that way I could be attacking while the third box is being created

    The Liberator is also going to be great for the solo miner for the same reasons. A mini fleet of a Liberator, Prospector, CXR, and Expanse should have everything a solo player needs for a long term deep space mining mission.

    • @latch9781
      @latch9781 Рік тому

    I only have the Vulture because it came with the entrepreneur pack, but I haven't liked salvaging so far.
    As easy as mining can be, at least it still has a risk of blowing up when you overcharge the rock, instead of just playing power washing simulator.
    I'm thinking about upgrading the vulture to the scorpious or a Vanguard variant.
    Good review though man 👍

    I own one too and i am already loving it and the ideas it brings with it!!

  • @SgtTeddybear66
    @SgtTeddybear66 Рік тому

    This is how I'd fix Salvaging. Simply make it so you don't have to stop for every box. Instead, the ship can hold let's say 3 boxes, then you run down and stack the 3 boxes and go back to scraping. This gives the best of both worlds.

  • @hatman4818
    @hatman4818 Рік тому

    Perhaps they should create a module slot on the back of the ship that offers EITHER, a skycrane in the cargo bay that autostacks cargo, OR, a turret and a small control panel for the turret. That way, you have the choice of either automating stacking, or increased surviveability when attacked. It would create a player choice here. I'm sure a second player would rather you just automate your stacking, and hop in an escort fighter, but if the second player doesnt have a ship for some reason, this job would offer easy money.
    It would also give your deck hand an extra task. That way, yes, most of the time, youre stacking boxes, but when the sh@t hits the fan, they play an important role in defending the ship.
    The way I see it, a box stacker essentially has the same job as a loadmaster IRL. Thats actually a really important job, because a loadmaster must fully understand the limits of their aircraft, and what amount of cargo can be placed where. Since SC hasnt implemented things like weight and balance or center of gravity calculations, or as far as I'm aware, even changes in thrust to weight ratio when carrying cargo (correct me if I'm wrong on that one), there really isnt much IRL loadmaster work that can be translated into gameplay at the moment... Just glorified "I pick up heavy things and put them back down again".

    Since the Liberator is not in-game yet, you can use the Origin 890 Jump as an in-situ replacement for the same purpose. Yes, you can maneuver the Vulture inside the hangar bay and carry it around, but once you are in place, you can park it on top of the deck (outside) and log off. This effectively means you can use the 890J as your mobile salvage home and have ample storage for the RMC boxes you produce. It really vibes well with what Star Citizen is trying to become.

    Good video. I've heard the power washer simulation comment by others but , for me, it's the burning-a-leaf-with-a-magnifying glass simulator. :-) Love my Vulture! Did you mention you can craft a pyro tool and tractor beam with the vulture's cargo?

  • @nosir5596
    @nosir5596 Рік тому +1

    I really like how effortlessly hull scraping + the cargo refactor has opened up opportunities for synergy and teamwork. The ability to cooperate with a cargo ship-- really liking the Hull A in particular for it, for ease of loading onto the external panels-- as a two-person team, which also lets you split up and search for salvage out in the asteroid fields is really nice if you're not running around after a bounty hunter's scraps. The way you can turn a decent little profit going full solo but easily scale up your profitability by working with other ships is a great model for potential org gameplay going forward, and the addition of ship tractor beams and physical saddle bags for miners is just going to make that better, I think.

    What happens if you check that "auto-eject when full" button on the console of the filler station at 4:00? Will the boxes be ejected the way they show it in the ship commercial and move other boxes down the cargo grid? 🤔

    • @bluexgreen1
      @bluexgreen1 Рік тому +1

      Auto-eject will spit out one box and fill a second. It can not move the second box out. If you use auto-eject you just need to run down to the cargo bay after every two boxes in stead of after every box.

    • @Siraij
      @Siraij Рік тому

      @@bluexgreen1 thanks for the info 😁👍

    • @bluexgreen1
      @bluexgreen1 Рік тому +1

      @@Siraij Hey, no problem! BTW, the same situation exits for each of the Reclaimer's salvage fill stations. It looks like the box area is big enough for it to hold two plus what is in the fill station, but it does not work that way. You can hold just one in the exit area and one in the machine. If you are being crazy/silly and soloing a Reclaimer this means you can fill a total of four boxes before running down and moving them.
