Matt, you & your videos are great. I grew up with these models and refurbished several in the 90s. Your mechanical, electrical diagnostic & repair is right on plus video skills informative. We luv 370, 669, 771 & '72 thru '75 F/As. Hope the new job & kids doing well. Happy holidays
Thanks for the nice comment! I'm glad you enjoy my videos. It might be hard to see, but there is a 669 and a 75 F/A in the background of this video. Going to get around to them eventually, so stay tuned for that! Job and kids are great, thanks for asking. Take care!
Carb actually feeds the crank case, not the cylinder. Once fuel/air is in the crankcase, both pistons travel down, forcing the mix up the transfer ports, then into the combustion chamber. Thats a specific phenomenon to two-stroke engines. Hope that makes sense!
1975 340 FA. I had one of those and it was fast!
Yeah, its one of my favorite sleds!!! Thanks for watching!
you should put the timing section up as it's own separate video. it would be helpful to a lot of people I think. nice work!
I second this idea 😊
Thanks! I’ll try and put it up when I have a chance.
Great video, brings back memories of my 1968 super Olympic, mine was a 16 hp
Glad you enjoyed!!!!
You got the good 16 HP (my dad bought one new with electric start). They were downgraded to 12 HP in the newer 12/3 model.

"3.7ohms. I dont know what it's supposed to be, but that seems like a good value."😂 classic
Lol! I guess I was right because it started and ran! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. Take care!
Nice! If only when I had my opposed back in the day I had a clean well lit shop and the tools needed it may have run well!
Yeah the well lit shop helps. I wouldn’t call it clean though!!! Thanks for watching!! Take care!
Where did you buy the new Bosch points and condenser from ? Thanks

@@mattsws thanks
Can anyone explain how the front combustion chamber gets fuel?

@@mattsws Thanks Matt! Can't wait to see this baby running!
@@Rick-t7t8o Me too!
Nice video! Where did you find that flywheel puller ?
Its an actual Skidoo puller from the 70s... Bought a bunch of skidoo tools from an old mechanic a few years back...
@@mattsws Wow! That's nice, lucky you!
