My personal take: Good Times with Weapons. I like this episode but I don’t love it, but I can see why others do, but it feels like that whenever people talk about what they love about the episode, they tend to leave out the stuff with Butters’ eye because anime references, despite the parts with Butters taking up a huge portion of the episode and being kinda unpleasant. Like did we need to see dogs shitting and peeing on him.
Good video, although you gotta stop the strawmanning and pretending to be the 'retarded audience', this isn't 2004 or TGWTG anymore, people either get your point or don't and you don't need to pander to potential idiots. As for the topic at hand my main problem with The Coon Trilogy is the pacing, it's kinda boring and repetitive at points, could've been a tight two episodes but it's so stretched out, with the comic panels and returning to the oil rig thing and heinsight, just not a great series of episodes. Would love to get an underrated south park episodes list.

I agree. I returned to South Park only recently and watched the last seasons on Netflix, so I missed a few seasons and found someone saying how this episode was the point were South Park became really great. So I watched it with high expectations and totally didn't get it. It's almost not South Park, except for the disgusting stuff. It doesn't feel like they make fun either of Blizzard or of the people who don't get it - just trying to make some epic storyline within their world, with no depth whatsoever...
thank you so much for making this, it's lovely to see such quality contributions being made to a community famous for shitty compilation videos and children's retrospectives :], you have an excellent voice for commentary too!
I personally think that Good Times With Weapons was pretty mediocre. There are only 3 jokes that really land for me, and it’s filled with Butters torture that’s painful to watch.
I find it very funny that Make Love Not Warcraft is considered the BEST episode because it heavily mentions WoW, since the entire episode is about people caring way too much about a video game.
"Make Love Not Warcraft" I did enjoy as well how they used higher quality versions of the models in use of the boys talking/playing the game. This did kind of bring attention for the machinima and 3D animation in general with game-related engine (or topics) in general. This as well did introduce a bit as to how further of different art style and camera angle approaches to the show, as about 2 years later, with episodes like "Major Boobage," "Imagination Land," and plus a more recent update. As for the plot though being b-plot, counting the WoW-style animation, could've just been. 1.) Acknowledge WoW is addicting and the boys immediately come across random dude playing for hours. 2.) They all team up and give up to become obese, as trying to attack him again he's too strong 3.) Just the ending would simply be of Randy giving Stan the sword, which defeated the one person ruining the game.
I'll always prefer the black friday trilogy over the superhero episodes I knew i would probs like it more then i already do if i watched Game Of Thrones i also like how they were able to get a plug in for stick of truth really well
I've neveer played world of warcraft in my entire life. but "make love note warcraft" is still one of the best episodes in the entire show. not every episode needs to have multiple plotlines with A-plots and B-plots and whatever, there's literally nothing wrong with an episode having only one plotline, it at least makes it more centralized which i like.
Hard agree with the Scott T episode, I get why people love it but it’s never done much for me. Love the videos man, excited for your under appreciated list
I completely understand your view of make love not warcraft alienating viewers who haven't played WoW, I personally found it really funny despite not having played the game itself but I guess I made comparisons to other games I have played. I hadn't thought about how non-gamers would feel about the episode. But yeah I feel the same about scott tenorman, love the episode but there are definitely so many others that i prefer instead.
Great video! Personally, I think there is more that is great to Scott Tenorman Must Die then the shocking ending and what it brought to the series. Like how the episode is one A plotline and it revolves around Cartman going great lengths getting what he wants which makes for some of the shows best episodes and how the episode being a cat and mouse games makes it really work. Also, there are some really funny and well timed jokes other than the ending. That's why personally the episode is my favorite and I believe it to be one of the best. But that's just my opinion. A South Park episode I find really overrated is Woodland Critters Christmas. There is nothing special about the episode's humor than the abundance of shocking and absurd humor. And most of that is forced hence it's not funny. Because of that, I don't know why it is regarded as one of the best.
I'm a gamer and "Make Love Not Warcraft" felt very mediocre to me. The only part of it that slayed me was Randy dying after he gave Stan the sword. My personal favorite episode that doesn't get enough love is With Apologies to Jesse Jackson. People love the Wheel of Fortune part specifically, but I think the whole episode is golden.
You are right. South Park is the best show ever. It’s my favorite show. I love every single episode except one, A boy and a priest. Now I’m not saying it’s a bad episode, it just terrifying to me. Because, these clean up crew guys just kidnapped Stan, Clyde, and Leo, stripped them, and all for what, a priest to quit his job?
When I watched make love not warcraft it instantly became one of my favourite episodes and i had never played the game at the time, but a couple years ago I had friends of mine try to really get me into it, I put like 20 hours or so into it and understood the game enough, didnt like it really though. when rewatching the epsidoe a bit after playing I didn't care for any of the actual in game references to mechanics or whatever. If you know what the general culture and idea around WOW is then that's all you need and there are barely any actual in game references or jokes that you would need to have explained to get. Like for example; when Butters make a dwarf class and Cartman is mad at him cause he's plays a dwarf and there's only 4 classes or the entire way they grind for higher levels killing weak enemies. You don't need these jokes explained, you get that it's silly Cartman is mad at Butters and you get why, you understand the boys motive to beat the villain of the episode and what they need to do to beat high level character. The jokes that only fans would get are just more so the chips on the side of the main steak. You also undermined how many great jokes there are in that episode, the boys getting fat and cartman shitting are amazing but everything with randy is also great, the WOW teams sword and how seriously they take it, the fat guy, Randy dying in WOW and actuslly making death sounds in a store, it's hilarious!
i do agree that the Randy stuff is the best part of the episode and i do wish i had gotten more into that. my big problem with the episode isn't that i don't understand what's going on in the episode, it's that i don't care whether or not the boys succeed at getting revenge on the pro gamer guy. this episode could have been about a game i do like, but because of its execution, because it's an entire episode dedicated to everybody playing one video game and all the jokes are observations about how overly invested they are in it, Make Love Not Warcraft just does not do anything for me aside from a handful of jokes that give me a little chuckle
I’m honestly not sure they did explain Kenny’s immortality completely. If his mom just gives birth every day how is he magically 10 again every day too?
I like kenny having an explanation for their death. Also love not Warcraft , not played it either, but enjoyed. Eh, whatever , everyone enjoys their own stuff.I don’t remember anyone talking RD2
I love the superhero trilogy because it reminds me of the games my friends and I played in primary school. Plus I actually like the Kenny backstory, he’s been one of my favorite characters for a while now and him getting screen time is great, plus Bradley’s ending was really funny lol
I absolutely loved the Cthulhu stuff after realizing that it's a big My Neighbor Totoro reference, down to the "Me and the Dark Lord Cthulhu" song and the interactions between Cthulhu and Cartman
@@JambiStambi I watched the episode before I finished the books and videos I think, and yet the episode was good because anyone will get the jokes because they are more of pop culture than die hard fans.
I never played world of Warcraft either but I love that episode for the jokes about how some people take video games way too seriously and need to get a life. It’s a great commentary on the more toxic aspects of the gaming community. Scott Tenorman must die is my favourite not just because of the fucked up twist at the end but the way it escalates to that point with the constant oneupmanship and it does have really funny jokes besides that ending (the Radiohead stuff, the video of Scott making Cartman dance like a pig & kenny laughing himself to death come to mind) ^not trying to be a dick but those are two of my favourites and I just had to defend them 😂.
well, I prefer the warcraft episode, despite the fact that I never played the game, I also never played RDR2, but I never saw anyone with a fever for that game, yet everyone I know is still in the warcraft train lol
I really gotta say, you're doing a great job. Watched a lot. And you are super concise, and the script is good. I'm sure these don't just take a small amount of time. But you can really tell you're passionate. Even if its "just South Park". I hope you extend this into other media, shows, movies. Look forward to your growth. Cheers.
Funny that you should mention realjims as when I saw your first season retrospective I thought you were just a rip off of him but your videos are great and stand alone. I look forward to you continuing them!
I've played barely any WoW but that episode was classic. "How do you kill that which has no life" "Who foretold this prophecy? Stallsman, from accounting" plus Randy dying in the end was classic
Interesting... I've never bought a single piece of Pokemon merchandise, played a Pokemon game, or watched any episode of the Pokemon show. Yet I still find Chinpokomon hilarious!
I absolutely agree that Scott Tenorman Must Die is overrated as hell. It's decent but it always irritates me to see it constantly rank at the top of best South Park episode lists because it's really nothing too special. However I do think it has overall significance in the series just because it's a character defining episode for Cartman. They had never went quite that far with him before and it kinda added a new dimension to his personality.
Thoughts on your picks. Scott Tenorman Must Die deserves the hype it gets. The first time I saw it, I was already loving it for the back and forth between Scott and Cartman. The twist was just icing on the cake. Ya, never cared for Pokémon, so never cared for Chinpokemon either. It was funny, but nothing special. Eh fair enough, I love the trilogy but it does get all over the place in segments, also hate the hell out of the ending. I completely agree on this one being overrated, like even people/youtubers who don’t talk about South Park usually refer to this one when they think about good episodes of the show. Granted, I like this episode even though I know squat about the game it’s based on (hell as far as me and brother are concerned, the show could’ve just made up a game for the plot and we’d enjoy it the same) but I wouldn’t rank it even top 30 best.
I disagree with the warcraft episode. I didn't play wow until 2020 but I remember seeing the episode back in 08 or 09 and I thought it was great. The jokes do land even if it's just about people playing a game and being obsessed with it. The whole point of the no life gamer just camping low level players and murdering them 24/7 is real it happens in almost every game where people can grief. The amount of times you'd get rdm'd in gmod or your base would be destroyed in minecraft or even in wow itself a maxed level player just sitting in a low level area killing people just to ruin their day, It's great. The joke about butters not really getting it either is good the amount of times me and my friends have quoted hello kitty island adventure 2 is easily top 5 south park references we've made. Maybe it's because I played a lot of runescape when I was a kid and mmos have appealed to me but it really is one of the best south park episodes it just lands a lot of stuff, it's just a fun episode. Going back to your point that it should of had a B plot I disagree. Having a connected story where both parts actually connect in a meaningful way typically ends with a better episode throughout it's more of a reason as to why the newer serialised seasons don't feel as right because typically the b plots don't really match the main plot until the end of the season. If anything the episode is more comparable to the minecraft episode which is pretty forgettable :\
The genius of Scott Tenormann must die isn't in the shock reveal of the episode seeing where Cartman goes. It's that for all of the episode we're with Cartman and only Cartman, I don't think we'd seen a solo episode that focused just on one of the cast before this one. It also just so happened to be the one that tricked us all into thinking that Cartman would get his comeuppance like he always does, as we've seen his schemes fall flat before and expect the same thing again here, we just didn't think "oh and he'll kill people and then laugh about about it to the kids face while his idols mock him for being a cry baby.
Another video game related thing I believe they handled well was the Black Friday Trilogy. Comparing the Console Wars to Game of Thrones and the Black Friday shopping experience was genius. It's BETTER than Make Love Not Warcraft because it focuses on Sony and Xbox players, but not a SPECIFIC video game which successfully appeals to a broader audience. Other OVERRATED episodes IMHO would be "Canceled" and "Lemmy Winks".
Underrated episode list coming? That could totally lead into lists on characters or overrated "canons" (like Creek *cough*). I knew Scott Tenorman Must Die would be on the list. Shows a character doing a really fucked up thing that then becomes like a character trait. You know what else does that? "ToM's RhInOpLaStY" and that still hasn't been revisited >.> The Scott Tenorman episode got a follow-up and obviously Cartman still shows those character traits but Wendy... Is that a part of her they want us to forget or is the "new Wendy" still capable of essentially being a yandere? Anyway sorry for the rant. Great video! Subscribed as I saw your other vids and yt recommended your new one. Definitely keep the South Park videos coming. I'm obviously a huge fan of the show too lol.
I've never played World Of Warcraft and think it was a great episode. There's enough about WOW in popular culture that it's not necessary to get and enjoy what's going on. You spent too much time trying to justify why it's overrated hinging your argument on the idea that people can't enjoy it if they've never played. I've never played Red Dead either, but that episode isn't better just because it's not the whole focus. You had me nodding to that point, but I gotta vote you down for that fail at the end.
when did i say nobody else can enjoy it? just because i don't like it means i care whether you do or not. you aren't the only person i've heard make that argument, y'know. i just offered the reason i personally don't think the episode works. you spent too much time trying to justify why it's so great, you fabricated this point i never made that the episode is impossible to enjoy if you never played WoW. i said making a whole episode about Wow risks alienating people who don't care about WoW, and the episode does just that by being about nothing but WoW. the jokes are all about video games, which is all well and good for those who like video game humor to the extent that they'll like an episode that offers very little but just that.. but at the end of the day, my biggest issue is that i don't find the episode funny and i know i would find it at least marginally funnier had i played the game. this episode stinks on ice and the more people try to change my mind about it, the more confirmation i get that people hold this episode in waaay too high regard
The most UNDER RATED episode has to be W.T.F where the kids go to a WWE show and they decide to sign up for wrestling class in school to making there own backyard show cause they thought the wrestling coach was a chomo. To me its just an under rated episode and needs more eyes on it... And now 3... 2... 1... Hate...
Scott Tenorman Must Die is definitely one of the most important episodes. It escalated Cartman to where he is today. Without that episode, we might not get the Cartman that carried the show for years.
South Park should do an episode satirizing bojack horseman, every idiot in the world hypes up that dreck like it is citizen Kane in TV form but uts actually poo
i don't see that happening for several reasons. the show has ended by now for one, South Park likes to be as current as possible. for another thing, while diehard fans of the show may have a tendency to oversell it, it's really a pretty decent show. simply put, there's not too much to make fun of there. also, Bojack Horseman isn't exactly the most popular adult cartoon out there, except maybe by Netflix original standards
I remember watching the south park episode that was about overwatch. as it is one of my most favorite games, watching the episode was honestly so cringe and forced at times to make it nothing more than a big ad. the warcraft episode in my opinion had a certain art to it that make is pretty funny and enjoyable even for those who has never played it.
the issue with the WoW episode isn't understanding the humor. the issue is that the humor is pretty one note, so you better find video game jokes reallllllyyyyyy funny or else this episode is gonna lose you quickly
South Park has always been very topical and very much focused on pop culture and what’s popular in that very moment. I’ve never played world of Warcraft and I don’t feel that if I did I would have enjoyed or disliked it anymore. It’s a good episode for what it is.
All of those are fair points. But i think a lot of the episodes could be hit or miss if you just don't care about whatever they're talking about. You don't care about the war/no-war debate, you probaby don't like "i'm a little bit country". You don't care about history channel you probably don't care about "A history channel thanksgiving". And those are no absolutes of course. Many people fall into categories like this and still love the heavily themed episodes. I hate the VR-episode despite loving VR, just to show that the opposite of this way of thinking is also possible. Still a great video though :D
you arguably don't need to even play any MMORPGs to get it. i understand everything that's going on in the episode. i just frankly don't care about the narrative nor most of the jokes in this one
Scott tenorman must die is my favorite episode lol, only really because scott is my favorite character. My second favorite is krazy kripples because im an absolute sucker for a timmy and Jimmy episode. of course I respect your opinion however, as ur opinion is just as valid as mine.
You shouldn't worry about people hating/disliking you for criticizing whatever episode of South Park. Let people with favoritism reeeeeee in their little diapers
I do like Kenny's death explanation, but what makes it pointless is because they made it so. They don't actually elaborate or do anything with it in future episodes. It would've been worth it if this revelation did anything to Kenny as a character, but he's just become more and more of a background character as the show go on, so I can't help but agree with you that his deaths being explained was less interesting than it being unexplained.
And I’ve never play WoW but I still did get it. They really could have made that episode with any major game and it still would have worked. It’s still one of my favorites because that’s how some the hardcore gaming culture act.
Make Love Not Warcraft is always an episode i skip over and never found any humor in. I also never played the game and just found the episode to drag on. Glad to know i'm not the only one.
I never liked the WoW episode because it just seemed like one big ad for WoW and I went into it not knowing anything about the game. South Park isn’t known to do episodes like that so that’s why I felt weird to me
I can understand your reasoning for not like the Warcraft episode. But Trey didn’t just change his mind about it later, I found this quote when looking up why he hated it: “Parker has since more than mellowed in his view of the episode, with both himself and Stone later calling “Make Love Not Warcraft” their own favorite episode of South Park” Favorite is a strong word... it came from Screen Crush so who knows if it’s legit or not. Seems like a heck of a 180.

jaja, yo estaba viendo una playlist de vídeos de Ricardo Alcaraz, la de Ted Talks, y el vídeo 28 era este
I agree but that one joke of cartman walking naked onto the stage is one of the funniest moments from the show for me.
Would love to get an underrated south park episodes list.
i REALLYYY expected the tweek and craig episodes to be on this but damn was i shocked but your opinions are valid as hell and well explained
i honestly never see people praise Tweek x Craig so it's kinda hard to call it overrated

Finally someone agrees with me about the world of Warcraft episode
same here, my brother LOVES this episode but i’ve never understood the hype. neither my brother or i have played the game but one REALLY loves the episode and the other couldn’t care less haha
I have played the game and it’s one of my favorite games so that explains why I love it at least.
I haven’t watched it but I play video games and it’s quite relatable especially the 40 year old man killing them all lots of people on Xbox like that
it plays do much i got sick of it
It was ok but I wouldn't rewatch it
I agree with you about Make Love Not Warcraft, I never understood why people like it so much, most overrated episode of the whole show imo
I agree. I returned to South Park only recently and watched the last seasons on Netflix, so I missed a few seasons and found someone saying how this episode was the point were South Park became really great. So I watched it with high expectations and totally didn't get it. It's almost not South Park, except for the disgusting stuff. It doesn't feel like they make fun either of Blizzard or of the people who don't get it - just trying to make some epic storyline within their world, with no depth whatsoever...
thank you so much for making this, it's lovely to see such quality contributions being made to a community famous for shitty compilation videos and children's retrospectives :], you have an excellent voice for commentary too!
thank you so much for watching!
I personally think that Good Times With Weapons was pretty mediocre. There are only 3 jokes that really land for me, and it’s filled with Butters torture that’s painful to watch.
i can definitely get behind that opinion, honestly think i forgot to consider that one
I'll always prefer the black friday trilogy over the superhero episodes I knew i would probs like it more then i already do if i watched Game Of Thrones i also like how they were able to get a plug in for stick of truth really well
Even though I’ve never played world of Warcraft I enjoyed the episode for the Warcraft visuals and the Warcraft characters talk king like the boys
I can say for a fact as someone who never even touched world of Warcraft. That episode was great
Scott Tenorman is SO OVERRATED!!!!! I am so so glad to see someone else thinks this. It is a good episode, but it isn't one of the best!!
0:54 The episode WatchMojo has in literally every one of their South Park videos. Gah...it got annoying fast, believe me.
Fit in a B plot? Dude. Randy has one of the best B plots which perfectly fits with his character
If his mom just gives birth every day how is he magically 10 again every day too?
same reason all his friends are still around ages 9-10
Most likely meant that she puts Kenny in his hoodie and he grows to it overnight.
A wizard did it.
The warcraft isn’t even top 10 for me, I genuinely don’t understand how it even got number 1
I've never played wow and I loved that episode
When they did an episode revolving around the Lord of the Rings it was funny even if you never watched the movies or read the books.
i agree, i really liked Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers yet i can't even sit through one of the movies/books it's based off of
@@JambiStambi I watched the episode before I finished the books and videos I think, and yet the episode was good because anyone will get the jokes because they are more of pop culture than die hard fans.
I REALLY don't care for any of the superhero parts of South Park either, it worked good for the second game, but in the show it just seemed boring
I never played world of Warcraft either but I love that episode for the jokes about how some people take video games way too seriously and need to get a life. It’s a great commentary on the more toxic aspects of the gaming community. Scott Tenorman must die is my favourite not just because of the fucked up twist at the end but the way it escalates to that point with the constant oneupmanship and it does have really funny jokes besides that ending (the Radiohead stuff, the video of Scott making Cartman dance like a pig & kenny laughing himself to death come to mind)
^not trying to be a dick but those are two of my favourites and I just had to defend them 😂.
i should have never went ziplining was probably the best south park episode for me
I agree. That episode was funny and it’s honestly underrated
"I'M SO FUCKING BORED"
what made me love this episode the most
I FORGOT ABOUT THAT ONE!!! so damn funny. one of my all time favourites.
Nah, not the best at all. But it's pretty funny and i hate how much underrated is
I respect your opinions but Personally I hated that episode, the narrator was very annoying IMO. And the live action scenes were so stupid
For me the only overrated episode that I don't like and I KNOW I'm getting hate right now, but it's "Woodland Critter Christmas"
My fave episode is Eat,Pray,Queef. I haven’t finished the video but I feel like it will be on here
nope. i love the Queef Sisters
@@JambiStambi phew I'm glad. I love the song they sand near the end
well, I prefer the warcraft episode, despite the fact that I never played the game, I also never played RDR2, but I never saw anyone with a fever for that game, yet everyone I know is still in the warcraft train lol
I like your videos dude could you do one of the opposite like most underrated episodes?
I really gotta say, you're doing a great job. Watched a lot. And you are super concise, and the script is good. I'm sure these don't just take a small amount of time.
But you can really tell you're passionate. Even if its "just South Park".
I hope you extend this into other media, shows, movies.
Look forward to your growth.
Cheers.

Make Love Not Warcraft is just fine, but I don't think it's even remotely close to my top favorites
Cartman joins NAMBLA has a 9 on IMDB. It’s decent but that score is a bit ridiculous
ig the Marlon Brando lookalikes gave it some high scores
Cartman Joins NAMBLA and the rest of season 4 is probably my favorite tbh
Funny that you should mention realjims as when I saw your first season retrospective I thought you were just a rip off of him but your videos are great and stand alone. I look forward to you continuing them!
I've played barely any WoW but that episode was classic. "How do you kill that which has no life"
"Who foretold this prophecy? Stallsman, from accounting" plus Randy dying in the end was classic
Honestly even 2 years later I still am addicted to rdr2
Never played Warcraft, but I think the joke was less that everyone was obsessed with Warcraft and moreso a parody of people who have no life.
You are so stunning and brave for making this video, much like Caitlyn Jenner
i really am. some might call me a hero
I cant like make love not warcraft because I despise warcraft.
The superhero franchise was better as the fractured but whole then as actual episodes honestly
The most UNDER RATED episode has to be W.T.F where the kids go to a WWE show and they decide to sign up for wrestling class in school to making there own backyard show cause they thought the wrestling coach was a chomo. To me its just an under rated episode and needs more eyes on it... And now 3... 2... 1... Hate...
Breast Cancer Show Ever is basically Scott Tenorman Must Die, but with superior character contrasting and writing and more substance in the story.
I remember watching the south park episode that was about overwatch. as it is one of my most favorite games, watching the episode was honestly so cringe and forced at times to make it nothing more than a big ad. the warcraft episode in my opinion had a certain art to it that make is pretty funny and enjoyable even for those who has never played it.
i never played wow but played enough other games to understand the humor
the issue with the WoW episode isn't understanding the humor. the issue is that the humor is pretty one note, so you better find video game jokes reallllllyyyyyy funny or else this episode is gonna lose you quickly
Scott Tenorman is still my favourite episode, and probably always will be.
same
Most of the top ten episodes on Netflix I find very over rated. My favorite episode is the one were the kids play a baseball tournament
You really don't need to have played WoW to get the episode, any mmorpg will do
you arguably don't need to even play any MMORPGs to get it. i understand everything that's going on in the episode. i just frankly don't care about the narrative nor most of the jokes in this one

Im glad someone else had my same sentiments on the Tennerman episode. Yeah it was good but it wasn't a defining moment , just a good plot twist
5:38 - 5:43 this is immeasurably incorrect
I never played a drop of Warcraft in my life. And I still get it.
My favourite episode is grounded vindaloop, clever, witty, unique
