This video presents a misleading impression, akin to a Japanese-style illusion.
The 100% frontal collision test employs a wall constructed of hollow steel reinforcement. Upon closer examination at reduced playback speed, one can discern slight undulations, indicating that the wall itself absorbs a significant amount of the impact energy. This is not representative of real-world collision scenarios.
In the 50% offset frontal collision test, the striking object is equipped with a metal buffer zone of approximately one meter in length. Despite this substantial cushioning element, the vehicle's body sustains severe damage, with the passenger compartment experiencing significant intrusion. This outcome raises questions about the vehicle's structural integrity and occupant protection capabilities.
