I have an 18 Husky TE300 and I went to a renthal handle bar with a different bend and it made all the difference in the world. The bike doesn't take a back seat to anything.
This was a no BS, legit review. Honest opinion... which is a rare thing. At the end of the day, TPI seems pretty amazing, but a well jetted carb'd 2017 or 2018 is damn near just as good. One of my fears with the TPI's is the longevity of the top end? Those TPI's are running wildly lean as compared to the ratios even KTM/Husqvarana is recommending for the carb'd versions. Should be interesting to see what the top end on one of these TPI's look like after 100 hours, compared to the same carb'd version running 50:1 or 60:1. Hmmmm.
I love my 2017 300xc. Best bike I’ve ever had. Now it’s a handful and you need to find your place with it. It’s such a versatile product. I ride tight single track and soften the aer48 to 21psi. This set up includes full on studded tires due to coastal conditions. Leaned out my carb to the same as summer conditions with the idle a smidge higher. I weighed in at 200lbs with all my gear. Bike is spot on and rider is hanging on.
maybe this is silly but you said they rode four bikes but you concentrated just on the two strokes it would of been interesting to hear about the four stroke as well and how it compared to the tpi and carb two strokes
The stock Pro Taper bar bend on the Husky I dislike too which i believe the KTM comes with a different bar bend. I switched to a Renthal bar bend I am familiar with and felt at home on my '17 TX300. Hope this helps others.
So basically whichever one you decide to buy, You can't go wrong. It's the correct choice. Because these are the ones on my radar, minus the Beta 200rr or X trainer. Only problem with that is there aren't any Beta dealers near my State.
I am so torn between a husky and ktm 300 also either a xc or xc-w 22 models. They are only a 100 dollar difference. I’m leaning more towards the ktm but it’s like 100 more and that’s nothing to me for a husky with extras but probably extras I’ll never use.
Thanks for the review. You didn't talk much about how the 250 XC-F compared. I'm curious because I have a '17 250 XC-F. I could relate to how you would compare it to the EFI bikes.
We don't see Husky alot around here, so that would be cool to get this new model. Dont know if I can justify getting that over the slightly cheaper KTM though.
Great videos Kyle! Quick quest, would you mind sharing how tall are you and Sam are? Talking about cockpit is only helpful if we have a frame of reference.
I love ktms!! And in no way hating.. sorry for the confusion i just feel like he would draw more people/people would enjoy a little bit more of a variety? But i love this channel and he makes amazing videos.

I read that the maintenance schedule on the TPI says replace the oil injector pump and piston at 80 hours.
Only time will tell. My buddy has a beta 300 injected. Got about 120 hrs on er. Still a buckin bronco

Isn’t husky/KTM same thing but different color?
I lean toward husqvarna
I’m on a 2017 TE 300 with a Lectron carb and the bikes amazing.
I just picked up a te300. Rowl that beast is bad. It never ceases to amaze/scare the ever loving crap outta me. I love it. Its a true thriller
Wonder why Kyle doesn’t do a review on the carbureted 2018 ktm 250 xc-w?
It’s this in Moab Utah?
I'd like to see a GasGas test in the future! Great job on the channel BTW!

can any one tell me what sam said at 1:30 through the video?
why did you put the sound of a bike over his suggestion on that particular moment????
soul guitarist1991 “The HusqVarna has linkage suspension”. You didn’t miss anything important
My dream bike right there :) amazing video Kyle. Keep up 😀

We all LOVED the 250 XC-F
awesome video, very informative. thanks
Pick a color , they are all legit .
Huskys get bling parts like the billet aluminum triple clamps that you gotta pay more for on a ktm
Yo my rm80 blows up easily man I need help
Hey Kyle Do you feel the bog still on the Ktm ?
No
a new ECU mapping has just been released for the KTM 250 TPI
Any idea what the new ECU mapping is intended to improve?
tjnaj1126 nope! The didnt tell anything...i’ll understand next ride

When you buy the Husky instead of the KTM you get the following extra's: skid plate, mapping, more adjustable front shocks (0 - 3 - 6 setting).
R u still selling the 150
Sold it to Logan, one of the guys you've seen on our rides from time to time.
Sam gets the porno music intro. Lol. But seriously I like seeing the comparisons. Thanks guys!

I'm 6'0". Sam is 5'11"
Some great info but I think that these guys bleed orange and have two T's as middle initials.
Dam good thanks👍🇬🇧
I have a 2010 ktm 300xc and i will mot change that bike for nothing
It seems like its always ktm. There are always excuses as to why the ktm is better. You need some more friends who ride bikes otjer than ktm.
Like Maicos
He has reviewed a lot of bikes and he sticks to the bikes best for his riding style.
I love ktms!! And in no way hating.. sorry for the confusion i just feel like he would draw more people/people would enjoy a little bit more of a variety? But i love this channel and he makes amazing videos.
Why can’t yanks say Husqvarna? Just say husky. It’s not Huskavarna.
Languages are strange, and are really more what you make it then what it’s “supposed” to be.
YAMAHA 250X > ktm-husky
