Great comparison! I love the sound and versitility of the sq1. Just one question: what is the brand/series of the snarestand holding the 12” tom of the sq1 kit? I like that as well!
Not bad, I liked the SQ1 especially in those sizes. That Premier snare sounded good too, didn't know they were back in biz ? (That's what we get for living in the US ! 😛).
I was never a birch guy, until I went to see a used Birch Infinite (the series that was superseded by the SQ1) kit that had come up for sale about a four hour dive from me. I guess the birch kits I had played/been close to other playing were not the best examples of birch-they felt “hard” or brittle, I guess would be a good way to put it-but these had none of those qualities. And, it’s safe to say from now on I will probably remain a Sonor Birch guy all the way.
Perfect guys, that is almost impossible to distinguish anything due to the over compress and EQs you ve put on the audio... So sad... that will be absolutely interesting to be able to compare it in terms of sounds, as it is obviously so clear to SEE the differenc. (Even if the 2 dudes are very intersting to hear but....) Cheers
Love these types of videos but maybe one day a drum "demo" will be played with no cymbals whatsoever or maybe one cymbal or just one hi hat only; until then we will rewind and find pockets for 3 second of actual drums that are featured and try and figure it out that way. Peace
I really appreciate their effort here, but the horribly processed sound completely ruined it. Not to mention getting basic specs of the kits wrong. Having said that their positivity and enthusiasm had me watch until the end so I really hope they can get the sound fixed
Great idea to compare the drums. But unfortunately over processed/eq‘ed. I would have preferred just room mics for a comparison.
Are these two kits really comparable, when their sound is processed to death?
i have a sonor Delite and I love it!
Awesome drums aren't they!!
I have the SQ1 and S-Classix. Now I’m looking at a premade SQ2 in maple or beech. Sonor is king.
Incredible drums! we love them, what config are you going for with the SQ2 ?
@@Gear4musicdrums 1 up/1 down. SQ2s aren’t cheap.

Love my vintage kit

Gear4music own the premier brand now so that why you will see them squeezed into videos

I I have several Scandi Birch Sonorlites from the 80s. Awesome drums!

those drums sound good
Let's goooo 🔥
Don’t like the bass drum legs on the SQ1 the serrations on the feet eventually wear out the clamshell fitting.
The sound engineer of this video should be fired.
I have the same SQ1 and snare in black. I’m done.
👍👍👍
!i yea.
The bass drum is 14 deep on the vintage, not 16 guys!!! 🤣
woops our mistake! Must have been too excited on the shoot day! - Theo
Those are both great kit, but the sound is overprocessed in a way that fakes everything

Can’t tell a much of difference as these sounds of the drums are highly processed
