  • Lately, I’ve been thinking that if I could talk to the twenty year old me, I wouldn’t tell him a thing about the future. I’d pretend I was a stranger; and I’d simply wish him well, and suggest perhaps “not to worry.” (KB)
I have cut off all USA content, save a single and monthly move update video, from my main UA-cam channel. This is being done in order to ready that space for fresh Japan content when I return at the end of the year.
In a way, I feel like a spaceman who’s been on a speed-of-light, decade-long voyage to another world called USA. My return journey to Japan is now nearly complete, and I’m coming home with a body and mind refreshed and enlivened by my long voyage, and a determination and will prepared to resume the life I once knew.
But, like that spaceman coming home from his speed-of-light adventure, I know that nothing will be the same when I get back to Japan. The world I left is aged or has already passed away, and the ways I once knew are changed or simply no more. Me too. I’ve changed as well. I know these things, and I will expect nothing less.
And so my UA-cam channel and my old Japan-focused brands are prepared and waiting; ready to receive the new man I’ve become, into an old world which no longer exists. (KB)
🌊 On Day 138 of the Ocean Swim Series, join Kurt Bell in a reflective journey back in time. 🏊‍♂️💭 Instead of revealing the twists and turns of the future, Kurt imagines meeting his twenty-year-old self as a stranger. The advice? A simple yet profound suggestion - “Not to worry.” This episode dives deep into the power of uncertainty, the beauty of life’s surprises, and the strength we gain from not knowing what’s next.
Kurt explores the significance of this message against the backdrop of the ocean’s endless mysteries. It’s a meditation on acceptance, letting go of control, and embracing life’s unpredictability with a sense of peace and optimism. 🌊🧘‍♂️
Kurt Bell is a passionate explorer and dedicated family man, delving into the intricacies of life and the world around him. Born in America in 1964, he has journeyed both physically and philosophically, penning insights in his books like “Going Alone” and “No More Looking Out For Number One.” With a stoic heart and a skeptic’s mind, Kurt believes in navigating life without attaching any inherent meaning, yet finding purpose in every moment. Join him as he shares the wisdom of embracing the unknown and the beauty of simply wishing oneself well. 🌄📚🚶‍♂️
