🌊 It’s come down to pounds and ounces now, as Yumiko and I shift and balance the contents of the three suitcases each we get to take to Japan. That’s it. All else must remain behind. We’ve given away and sold most of it. But now it’s harder, as what’s left are the things we thought we must keep; keepsakes, mementos and even some old family photos-tossed away to be soon forgotten. It’s easier now though as we approach the end. There’s less sentiment it seems, in the moments of leaving. (KB)
