Its just that some people keep the fight going for a godamn hour just running away and circling around not even shooting, we need a shrinking circle system.
And a mmr system that puts you against appropriate lvl enemies.
Counter offer for those who don't really like hourglass.
Only play during a double xp weekend and grind hard. Aim for quick games, if it's gonna drag and be a long fight then go next, loss xp for multiple quick games will be about the same as a long drawn out win, thats if you get the win. You're also more likely to come across loss farmers or dice rollers during double xp. Do some more bold dumb strats to keep it fun. The aim is the xp not so much constant wins. Vote down whenever an outpost is close. Stick to solo's as duos is ultra sweaty and you'll find games faster in solos. Also if you are getting over it and need to take a break, continue to play and just loss farm while you watch a show or something. I went from level 16 to 105 over one weekend with this method. Got my curse and never touching hourglass again 👍
Dice rolling is how I reached level 57 in servants
The others were losses and sailing around in circles as tryhards failed to hit me
I came across a few dice rollers during my weekend grind. I'll waste the time of a toxic pirate by sailing around, sinking them by going to the shores of gold or something but during the hourglass grind weekend I wasnt wasting time with sweats or long fights. Had a few try to do it to me. I just went gg and went next. The goal was to grind xp and get the job done. The start of the weekend was trying duo with my mate but we kept getting the same double gold curse sweats so just kept spawning in saying gg and not fighting to end it and get the xp and go next fight, they werent happy about it but we were there for different things @@ceoofwarcrimes4600
And a lot less people play during the week. Try to play only on weekends, or you WILL pair with the same gent as last match

@@gxh6497get the dice rolling emotes from I think larinna by the tavern, then attempt to call a parley at the start of a pvp dive, once you can speak to the other player, claim your like to roll for the win. You could roll a D20 (20 sided dice) and do 1-10 I scuttle my ship, 11-20 you scuttle your ship.
Some people honor it. Never tried it so don't know the success rate

My only problem with hourglass is the dumbass idea of getting a fucking curse at level 100, it should be at level 50 or allow selling loot while having hourglass up give a bit of rep
Nah, level 50 would be too easy, I grinded levels 25-48 in two days
I just think they need a better system for preventing people from running and being cowards that draw out matches to 1 hour and one anyway

Win or learn is how to approach all competitive ventures. Hourglass and sneak videos took me from swabby to pattycake champion. Btw anyone reading that canon video is great i use that method now
The ring rule on cannons made my long range shots so much more accurate and able to keep pressure up I highly recommend it.

In any pvp game, the first thing you need to do is learn how to lose. How to handle the emotion. The advice here is right on. Every fight is a learning experience. Over time, you will incrementally get better and success will come your way.

my strategy was loading the game go in matchmaking without any supplies do little dance before each match, then random bullshit go while talking to some friend (i do solo PvP because when i'm mad i usually complain on everyone even it was clearmy my fault for the L) so with some meme and -1 braincell i manage to get the skelly curse i was so happy that all the rage and suffering i got from my 100 levels went on just not booting up the game for a little while and now i wanna get the ghost curse but i'm experiencing PTSD
i am right around this mindset as well lol. got the skelly curse but idk if i can ever grind dives again

I’m not sure why but I only compete against players with the skelly curse though I’m only a new player at only lvl 5 reaper.. the matchmaking is soo bad. It’s disheartening.
The first thing he said is wrong it doesn’t matter what server you’re on because I’ve tried that and it didn’t change a thing because if you go hunting, you essentially are hopping servers to look for a fight thus quitting and then rejoining isn’t going to fix anything!!
My issue is time. How do you force battles to happen? For my and my friends it’s usually 2-3 hours between fights

@@pajalixd4016 na they don’t happen. Meaning we dive, 45 minutes later we resurface. Then we just roam around 2-3 hours and do quests and hope someone spawns on us. But it just doesn’t happen or rarely does. Today for example we were lucky, we got one battle but over an 8 hour session.

It’s like “oh I find matches back to back in seconds and can battle all day without wait or hassle and got level 100 in under a week, you just need to get good and better at the game. You must suck really bad”. Like I’m ok now, 4 hours and no match 😂

honestly, it's pretty easy to get burnout from hg pvp even with these tips just because of the system
i'm an average player, even a little lower in pvp skills perhaps, but i still got my boney curse! the ritual was a banger, it was a real accomplishment for someone who engaged in pvp before season 8 about 7 times in 1.5 years. i was pretty happy back then, but when i saw how much work has to be done to lvl up even more, i just gave up
constant stream of sweatlords and just better players made my W:L ratio about 1:5, and it doesn't help that as a solo player i've already learned all the little tricks which i can use to gain advantage, thus getting nowhere frow loss to loss. the only thing to master is my aim and movement, but i dunno how to train myself in environment where i have literally one minute before i sink
i know it's just a skill issue, but i'm tired of countless golden skeletons and alt-account sweatlords. it would be so awesome if only sbmm worked as it should and i could actually play the game for once and not get one-balled out of existence
still, i think going in with intention to learn and not to win or lose is the most viable strategy in getting through hard times, so i'm glad that you included that
yeah, i’m not saying that this is a sure fire way to get rid of burnout in hourglass, but hopefully it would rather delay that feeling further down the road. maybe i should have been more clear on that

The game stops being fun when Stockfish punishes you for your 37 inaccuracies, 18 mistakes, and 9 blunders in PvP.

At this point I’ve watched so many video and all it’s doing for me is giving loss rep so
i quitted at level 7. these kinds of fights are just annoying to me. everyone uses the meta tactics and there is seldom a ship fight, like the game is meant to play.
Nice vidoes but ima still left with a bitter taste in my mouth for hourglass. I keep losing which wouldn’t be a bad thing if I was learning anything, but I’m not. I always get into the same situation and I’ve tried and tried to learn new ways to deal with it. The situation goes we torn opposite of each other and I lay into them, we go around fighting like you do until I’ve put enough pressure on them to run. Then they run, I can’t catch up because there literal just going in as tight line the opposite direction, they repair, we repeat until we gone 30-45 minutes in and then one of us runs out of resources. I just don’t know how to get around this stupid mechanic, and it just leaves me burned out and a couple hours waisted. good video though

Great vid but I'd like to say I'm pretty sure your first tip doesn't work and the game will put you in the same stamp. It's best you get a free vpn to get a boat in another region

Win or learn sounds good and all, but some of these guys are laser beaming so good you dont stand a chance lol. First cannon hits you and your dead, then they board and spawn camp. Theres not much you can do about that

Worst thing is having no skill or fun as a solo so you queue with a mate but that guy sucks so its either not play or loose. But then you give him another chance and he just doesnt learn so you spent time getting another friend into the game and slowly train him on pvp and turn him into the perfect sot pvper. Then you suddendly win all the games and it turns out that the guy with 100hours on the game is way better at pvp than the guy with 2000hours. Problem solved
and also laugh about all your loses with the friend that sucks
@@wornoutsneaker he bucketed into our ship five times in a row while i was killing the enemy crew on their ship and we sunk and lost. The only laughing that will happen will be about him. Keep in mind he has 2000 hours on the game

Don't play 10 rounds in a row max 3-6 games. Stop after that do some tales or other game and still get your levels. Most people grind the shit out of them to get some curse on sot bro hahahaa.

Loss farming is my only option, since there's no way I can join a pro pvp crew. I've played for 3 years and I couldn't even beat an anchored ship, so laugh all you want, I am a total loser.

What a pointless video, rofl. People are getting burnt out on hourglass because Rare in its infinite wisdom introduced yet another competitive system without addressing the issue with cheating in the game. Also the entire system is extremely repetitive, win or lose.
with cheating, yeah there’s nothing you can do. just scuttle and move on. but i don’t find hourglass “extremely” repetitive. i just do something else in sot n then hourglass when i’m up for it, but everyone has their opinion :)
