    Kliff Kingsbury has had a lifetime of getting opportunities in both college football and the NFL. Does he deserve them?

      As a big 12 fan. I can admit the conference is top loaded, and overrated. But watching Texas tech when kliff was there compared to the past 3 seasons. They've got a better future without him rather than with.

    It's really been awesome how coach Kingsbury has managed to avoid all blame for the Cardinals late season collapses, and allowed management to put all the blame on Kyler in his contract season. Late season collapses is the same thing coach did back at Texas Tech, so he'll probably get a raise now.

    I’m a Cardinals fan, and I’m cautiously optimistic about Kliff. On one hand he shows tendencies and schemes that are far from ideal in an NFL Head Coach. On the other he has continually improved the team year by year as expected of him. The end of season failures are frustrating, but for now he’s proven that he’s earned another couple years potentially. The big contract does worry me though

    Kliff Kingsbury may be good as an NFL head coach; I don't know how that will shake out. As a long-suffering fan of a lower-tier Big 5 program, those late-year skids at places like Texas Tech are sometimes just talent attrition kicking in. A program like Texas Tech generally won't have the same depth as Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, etc. Early in the year it's easier to get away with that deficit: your starters are playing at full capacity the whole game and few of them are hurt. As the season wears on, they're tired and injured and their replacements just aren't good enough. The lack of depth hurts worse in the latter part of the season. It's a factor.

Did Kliff sign Conner, Watt, Green, and Golden? Our roster has gotten better every year since 2019, that's why we've been improving. The talent has carried him, but even it isnt enough to conceal his coaching incompetence. I was in college when we hired this scrub. He was overhyped then, and still as overhyped today. But hey, he used Johnny Manziel’s talent to make a more of a better life for himself than Johnny Manziel himself could.
    Fun story, I nearly ran him over when he was jaywalking once 😂

  • @danielpenrodii2389
    @danielpenrodii2389 2 роки тому

    His offense was ranked 24th, 54th, 2nd, 5th, 23rd, and 16th in points/game during his tenure at Tech while his defenses peaked in the mid-80’s and had a handful of 120th or worse finishes. Either they sucked at recruiting or coaching defense against Big 12 offenses, but he’s still a solid offensive mind. Find a DC who can take control of the defense so Kliff doesn’t have to.

    Look at the history of Texas Tech! Outside of the years with Mike Leach and Kliff Kingsbury, they have been a average less than five wins a season. Kingsbury's tenure at Texas Tech was quite analogous to his 10-year at Arizona raising the programs floor

    • @corey2232
      @corey2232 2 роки тому

      10 year at Arizona?
      He didn't raise the floor at Tech, he was bad there & had less success than Tommy Tubberville, let alone Mike Leach. And they gave him 6 years & all the tools, tons of money, & all the power to hire whoever he wanted, but guy couldn't coach.
