The NFL Draft is a crap shoot. But in 2019, teams that needed QBs came out with mysterious outcomes.

I would very much like it if you subscribed for my somewhat funny sports videos.
I'd love to see Minshew get a starting job somewhere. Indy, Denver, or Pittsburgh would be great spots for him.
As a Colts fan please don't say that about us 🤣
As a Denver fan, leave us out too.
Hell, I'd take him in Washington. Not like they could get any worse at QB
There is no nfl team in Kentucky.
As a Giants fan, I would LOVE if we got Minshew.
Talking about Russell Wilson "he really not coming to Denver"
...
I found this video right after the trade🤣
"Russell Wilson staying with the seahawks (he really not going to denver)" 7:18
Seahawks front office: *what'd you say?*
Minshew was benched because he didn’t disclose a finger injury he had that was negatively affecting his performance, something that really pissed off Doug Marrone and Dave Caldwell because they were fighting fruitlessly for their jobs. He got benched for Jake Luton, who had one good game before turning into shit, and then Mike Glennon the rest of the way that season into the black hole.
I definitely see the negatives here, but I’d much rather have someone willing to play than the alternative
He was obviously afraid of losing the starting job. But even though that’s not what’s “best for the team” don’t you feel like Jacksonville team doctors should have been on top of that?!?
And even with it he was probably still the best QB in that room.
But without it you (I'm assuming your a Jags fan) probably wouldn't have Trevor Lawrence.
@@JusNoBS420 yeah that’s what I’m saying like it shouldn’t be a players job to remove themselves from competition. It’s what they love to do. There is so much emotion that would go into that decision for a player
Would have love to seen Haskins succeed in Pittsburgh... 🕊
Unfortunately, we'll never know. Rest in peace
Yah I would of loved to see how things turned out. Could of sat behind Trubisky for a year or two and have time to figure it out.
R.I.P. too young
R.I.P but that was never going to happen
R.I.P. man… if only he went to a better franchise. He wouldn’t have died if it wasn’t Washington that drafted him (assuming the butterfly effect)
It sucks that Dwayne Haskins passed away, but back than he was young and immature. He matured in last few months before his death, it is a shame that we never got to see what he could become once he matured.
Well… may Dwayne Haskins rest in peace, alongside Adam Schefter’s respectability
“Russell Wilson really ain’t coming to Denver”
Denver disagreed😭
If Pittsburgh signed Minshew, I would not be mad about it
Yeh ! Me too !!

Please they have Dwayne Haskins.

@@16ktsgamma Sadly this comment aged poorly. RIP Haskins. I am a Steelers fan and what happened was heartbreaking.
We need him. He is perfect
Would love to see a video around the Broncos Kendall Hinton disaster, always a fun discussion
Obviously Not Hinton’s fault. You’re referring to how F’d up the NFL handled that right?
@@JusNoBS420 of course, Hintons probably my favorite lesser known player, hoping to see him get some play next season
@@bbodeo like a practice squad WR who had some college QB experience starts and finishes a regular season NFL game!! Crazy
Truly one of the goats ever although petermeme might give him a run for his money
Can't imagine how they approached Hinton with that lmao.
"Hey uh... you played QB in college right? Good, we kinda need to make your NFL debut at QB this Sunday" lol
I bet Giants drafting Daniel Jones was one of the derpiest day of Five’s life (behind Kadarius Toney).
I honestly feel bad for the chair more than five points
Death Has A Face And He Is Very Bald Indeed
Learn football. Daniel Jones is a top 10 quarterback and Kadarius toney was riddled with injuries and balled out when he was healthy
@@Kaden4429 Jones ain’t top ten, maybe top 15-17 but def not up there at top ten
@@Kaden4429 you can't be serious. Giants fan here. Jones is maybe top 32, his numbers in splits when he is kept clean are some of the worst in the league.
Toney will be injured his entire career, sorry to bear the bad news. His playstyle will never favor his health, especially his knees and ankles. He was often injured in college, and he had 3 separate injuries last year alone.
Still not a bad as drafting a running back with the 2nd overall pick when Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson were still on the board.
While you should never draft a RB in the no one knew they would develop the way they did. That being said Quentin Nelson should have been drafted.
@@giantfanmisery5087 You know what, yes. Yes he should've. Would've made up for that awful Nate Soldier signing.
Nelson shouldve went 1st overall
He was truly dominant from day 1
As a lifelong Giant's fan... there is no way Allen would have developed like he did with the coaches we had on the team at the time.
A runningback who has yet to crack 3000 yards in 4 seasons no less.
Just wait till Daniel Jones converts to WR. Then you'll all pay!
He had a better catch last season than any other player on the team.
I love Trevor but I miss Minshew, Really hope he gets a starting job somewhere
Agreed. Really hard not to like Minshew.
Dude I went to Washington State when Minshew was our QB and those were great college days. The “juice” he brought to the program was ridiculous
@@JusNoBS420 yeah man minshew was amazing
As a Giants fan, if we had to take a QB and Murray wasn’t available, I’d still take Jones. The others are easily worse (Minshew aside, but he would have been a bigger reach.)
Only Daniel Jones can defeat Daniel Jones 😝
But you could of had josh Allen and still gotten jones, or even better the skins take jones and you take Haskins. Then they are stuck with jones for 5 years and you get to move past Haskins after 1 year
"If we had to take a QB"
Don't. Get them round 2 or so.
@@HumpD624 Josh Allen doesn’t matter in this situation. I love the guy, but if you had told somebody on draft day that he would end up becoming an MVP caliber QB, they would’ve laughed in your face. As someone that has been defending him for years, it really pisses me off seeing so many people say that they would’ve drafted him 1st overall if they were drafting that day. I remember when people were calling that pick a huge reach, and now everyone makes fun of the other 6 teams for not doing the same? That really grinds my gears.
@@ohnobro1424 josh Allen the defensive end
Minshew is likely the second coming of Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Which means he'll have quite the entertaining career to see play it's course
I really want him to be a starter tho
Kirk Cousins is not as good as Minshew
The Russ not going to Denver joke aged well
RIP Dwayne Haskins
Unpopular opinion: If Daniel Jones was drafted to a team like the Commanders who’s had Rivera for the past two years he would have been developed properly and would be a Ryan Tanehill like QB
New York is where QBs go to die and you can’t convince me otherwise
@@ohnobro1424 Eli manning
@@duskthunder9274 after super bowl 46, he did stay there to die.
2019 New York fans wanted the Knicks to get Zion, instead the Giants got Danny Derps. Wawawa. Also am I the only one who thinks Daniel Jones kind of looks like Bruce Campbell?
I'm not the only one who think Danny J look like Ash ( not Ash Ketchum)
Barrett’s been pretty good. At least we still got him.
Definitely not a Giants fan. It’s fun to laugh at Daniel Jones for tripping on that 80 yard run; but that run is incredible even though he didn’t score.
If anything besides the tumble on the ground happens in that play; it’s never thought of or referenced besides the speed Jones reached on the play.
Hey FivePoints, can’t wait for your NCAA tournament roasting session! Can’t hurt my team because we’re NIT bound! (Virginia)
As a Broncos fan who doesn't absolutely despise him, I feel like Drew Lock should at least be given a chance to see if it really was just Pat Shurmur's incompetence that resulted in his downward slide. If this season he does better under new OC Justin Outten and HC Nathanial Hackett, then there's no reason to think he can't continue to improve.
I think about 50% of us Broncos fans are looking at the situation like this exactly. I wouldn't be mad if he got a chance to start a few games next year just to see what he's got. Unless of course we get Rodgers or Wilson.
@@123person31 Wilson is on the way
the 2019 class is exactly what i was supposed to be some good qbs who need a good team to succeed but no one franchise altering
tbh i would put lock with danny dimes, hes made some good improvements and i feel if he continues he will be a very lowtier but starting caliber player
This video didn’t age well… as Russell Wilson is now a Bronco
Gardner Minshew. The man, the myth, the moustache
As an Eagles fan... yeah, I'd be totally happy if Gardner Mustache II took over for Jalen Hurts. Jalen's definitely lodged himself firmly in the "mystery" category, as defined in this vid. He's Schroedinger's QB, we have no idea if he's good or bad, because Sirriani thinks he's smarter than he is, gets too cute with playcalling, and that's why we have red-zone INTs instead of rushing TDs.
Watching this after Russell left to Denver 🤣
Minshewmania is why a Washington State coach could finally make it to coaching in the SEC - and actually coach a game for that institution.
But we still love Mike Price out on the Palouse.
someone like Carolina, Washington or Denver HAVE to give Minshew a chance
I feel if dj had stability with the giants I think he would have grown into a solid qb he shows flashes but God the giants are the ones who will ruin his career
I wanted to see Arizona take Minshew on Day 3 personally. Since Minshew came from Washington State who at the time was coached by Kliff Kingsbury's Air Raid mentor Mike Leach I figured Minshew could serve a mentor role coming from a similar system
With what’s happening with Kyler Murray, could Minshew end up replacing him?
I love Danny dimes hope he can turn it around
been on the minshew train for a minute. he played way better than hurts this year for the one game he was in
Come on now, everyone should know that Easton Stick is HOCKEY equipment.
Why do I see Minshew start later in his career?
While Kyler proves to us that he is just in it for the money with further play.
Dan Jones is a walking and living meme for the Giants without Eli and they can blame gettleman
Drew Locke is probably the guy, I don't know anymore.
Dwayne Haskins is a Steelers. Better mock Tree if he wins the starting position.
Russell Wilson: "He really not coming to Denver"
That aged poorly.
The trace mcsorely song goes incredibly hard
“Russel Wilson staying in Seattle.”
*…softly crying in not aging well*
I love this channel
FivePoints will you please adopt me, Im 26 years old and provide a great humor
“He really not coming to Denver” LOL
Someone NEEDS to give Minshew a chance
Tank Commander Finley single handedly got the Bengals Joe Burrow and for that he will be forever goated
RIP Haskins. He may have nnot been the best player, but he was certainly trying to turn himself around after Washington.
That Russell Wilson to Denver comment didn't age well, haha
Easton Stick sounds like a hockey stick, pretty sure i have one or two in my garage.
Minshew gives me Fitzpatrick/ Kirt cousins vibes.
Cousins is a solid qb so I'd take that if i were minshew. Especially since minshew is still young enough to grow, he just needs to find a decent system with some good coaches that can actually develop him.
Is love to see Minshew as QB for the Giants but the front office would never go for someone that had that much personality
Said that Wilson wouldn't be going to Denver and called Haskins a cancer.... wild how a few months can change things so much.
Haskins dying doesn’t make his actions any better
@@ghosttoast8610 You're right, it just looks tacky to those that wanna complain about everything. I don't really care, it was probably accurate.
"he really not coming to Denver" .......
As a TTU student; I can say; “thanks for going .500 Kliff”.
Rosen was right, he was the ONLY player in that year's draft to win the 1st pick for his team th following year, props to Trevor L for winning that prize this year 😂😂
7:18 aged like a fine milk
As a Jags fan I hated seeing Minshew get benched following his injury because the Jags had winnable games on the schedule with him in but if Trevor Lawrence turns into what they are saying he will be I will be glad he's on the Jags. I do hope Minshew gets another starting shot soon because he deserves one and he definitely is one of the top 32 QBs in the league in my opinion. So here's to hoping he gets his shot and proves he deserves to be a starter
The narration of this video is complete gold 😂😂😂💀💀
Kyler Murray: Overrated and Definition of "What Goes Up, Must Come Down"
Daniel Jones: The Derp of the New York Giants
Dwayne Haskins: Washington's Ryan Leaf
Gardner Minchew: A Good QB who no one wants to utilize bc he was from the Jaguars(at least he was Brandon Perna's Spirit Animal)
Rest of QBs of 2019: They're Gone?
I really hadn't considered any of that about Minshew. I've been impressed with Kyler's gradual improvement and he certainly SEEMS to be the bright spot of the draft, but wow.
I agree with the people saying he should go to Pittsburgh and would fit the scene tremendously.
That joke on Clayton Thorson might be the funniest diss Ive heard in awhile.
The 2019 draft was weird in general. The 49ers drafted a freaking punter in the 4th round. A good punter for sure, but he hasn't even had the best career of punters drafted in that class. Though when you hit on both Nick Bosa and Deebo Samuel you can burn a pick on a generally low risk, medium-low reward position like that.
7:18 well that aged like milk
I’m not a Jabrill Peppers fan, but I do enjoy him getting Haskin’s first pick-6
gotta love YT closed captions… offensive coordinator Rich Scan Gorilla 😂😂
I think the 2021 QB class takes the cake on most perplexing in hindsight lol
I'm just thinking what if the Colts make such a Chad move and get Gardner Minshew
I think it can work I really do
The fact that u said Russ wasn't going to Denver and now here we are 😂
As a WSU fan I can’t be happier to see the success minshew has had, while it hasn’t been entirely sunshine and rainbows, he’s well known in the football landscape and in a positive light, I’ll always remember him as the legend who led this shitty Pac-12 team to the best season we’ve ever had. Oh and btw Jacksonville stole the fucking mustache thing from us
4:18 LET'S GO!!!
daniel jones is good, and can be great if he has a decent OC. I dont get what everyones problem with him his, hes gonna be a stud next year
Ngl I joined the minshew mania train his rookie year if it wasn’t for Trevor Lawrence he definitely would have gotten a better chance as a starter
Why are sports busts historically so arrogant? Rosen, Russell, Mandarich, Daigle among them…it’s like they’re handing the paintbrush to you and asking you to paint the target on their back for when they crash and burn
Arrogant people are more likely to bust. Talent alone can get you through college but in the NFL you gotta watch some fucking film
4:45, WTF?!?!?! 😂😂😂
Get your facts right. Mitch wasn't the problem in Chicago it was our Coaching stuff and Nagys inability to develop QBS. Mitch is better than half of the starters and has a winning win %
@D12 Raging Buffalo Bills coordinators and players say he's a starter in this league right now. Every news outlet will tell you. He's better than half of the starters. Lower ceiling sure, but he's a starter
Matt Nagy didn't utilize his mobility, terrible playcalling, no protection on the oline, no real tight end threat, horrible development of players hell looks like he made players regress honestly, same shit happened with Fields...
@@E_tiBEAMERBOY and somehow he gets a qb coaching job at KC. 😂
I had no clue you were also an Auburn fan. War Damn Eagle
WAR EAGLE
If Minshew went to the Broncos, even as a Chiefs fan, I don't think I could dislike him.
After this last season this needs an update. Some predictions aged like milk yet your hot last take proved to be really valid.
Aside from Kyler Murray, all of the QBs in this video are career backups (or will be career backups).
debatable
Jones and minshew ?
I honestly think the draft order system makes complete sense. Teams need to be given opportunities to improve, and if the same behemoths were able to hog all the good rookie players every year, that would make things really difficult on the struggling ones. Going into every offseason, teams that make the playoffs are automatically going to be better equipped roster-wise than those with losing records.
The draft system actively incentivizes teams to suck ass which is fucking horrendous for the sport. Teams should be rewarded for being competitive and making strides in their development, not for intentionally losing games. (Flores getting paid 100k per loss should be criminal if true, for the team that is)
Personally i think draft order should be a semi random lottery. For example: the top 10 and bottom 10 teams should get randomized for picks 13-32 while the middling teams should be given the boost with the early picks. This would encourage teams to actually compete, the top teams are competing for the super bowl, the middling teams are competing for the playoffs but get that assistance and the bad teams fight for survival.
I pulled the specifics of how many teams go into which tier out of my ass so which actual seed goes where would have to be debated.
@@skorpiongod eh I guess I see your point but agree to disagree respectfully. I’ve never had a problem with the system. I think the best teams are rewarded enough. The owners could of course vote to change it at some point though.
7:18 That aged well! 🤣

High motor, gritty, sneaky athleticism, great locker room guy.
Cold hard steel revs you up? Umm. As a self proclaimed man, that's not what gets me most excited.
Mom: why are you screaming???
Me: FIVEPOINTVIDS just uploaded a video on UA-cam 😫
Rip Haskins bro
yea broncos REALLY aren’t getting russ
Jones at least should be given a year with Daboll to see if they can maximize his talent. As for Murray, I get the feeling he's trying to make as much money in the NFL as he can. He's clearly aware he's more likely to have a career ending injury than most.
The 2021 NFL season was greatly weakened by the fact that Minshew only had one start and Ryan Fitzpatrick was hurt. Hardly any point in having a season.
Minshew is a freaking gun slinger it amazes me that he’s not a starter somewhere
IMO mcsorley is good jokes aside he is a Russell Wilson like qb and I think nfl teams should give him a chance
An absolute Derp-fest of a draft class. And, yet, Gardner Minshew might be the best of the lot if Kyler Murray's career doesn't go sideways? Maybe Minshew will be the one who replaces Daniel Jones. I'm sure Five would love that move...
I am shocked that Kyler Murray isn't the best quarterback of that draft class. I guess Gardner minshew is kind of like Philip Rivers during some of his later years with the chargers when the team just wasn't as good as they used to be.
7:19 This aged… very… very well
Shut, now this video hasn't aged well Five, not your fault thpugh... RIP Haskins
Seriously though: Daniel Jones looks like Jim Carry as Lloyd Virgil. 4:15
Kyler Murary has throw for almost 12000 yards in his first 3 years, rushed for 150 yards is 5'11 and weighs 230 lbs and has 10 inch hands now because he grew half an inch in 3 years he was young.
I just don't get why the guy isn't a bigger star. He doesn't whine, he cleared out his social media just to stop that nonsense.
He is not 5’11. He is lucky to be 5’9
Gardner Minshew looks like he sold me mushrooms at a widespread panic show
Considering Josh allen was on the board, daniel jones was a bad pick.
