I have the a4 2017.Couldnt be happier. The interior is modern and futurisic and at night with the ambient lighting looks like a spaceship! The key is to get the sline package with all the bells and whistles which in Canada was about $ 55000.
I think the new front end is very well-styled, dynamic and beautiful as well. The side view, to me at least, mimics the A8 which is not a bad thing, with the upper door crease - it seems to give a "statelier" appearance. (Though whether that's an advantage for a small car or not, is debatable.) The rear view is its weakest; not terrible, but lackluster to my eye. If it were my money, I'd go with the A4... probably in TDI form, with a 6MT. :-) If I had more of the aforementioned money, then the upcoming S4 of course!
I must say the looks of this new a4 have started to grow on me... When I first saw it I was like ''Meh...'' but awesome interior. Can't wait to see one in person
You see, this is a great car ,no doubt. But in order to drive a great car such as this you need a great road; which unfortunately is no where available in India (i hail from here), In here the only place you can use this car is the Highway(but not in all of them). So,if one buys this car he would either have to drive it on the Highway for no certain purpose but to keep its engine alive or just to show off his wealth(that's right in here an Audi A4 is equivalent to a Lamborghini). The roads in here are full of traffic ALWAYS! (because of its over population)and it also has pond sized pot holes and craters(yes if you wish you can bring your fishing rods and catch a fish or two). The average speed of cars on the city roads are 25 kmph. So,i would like if you folks can get me some basic level car reviews such as VW Polo( this car's too is no at par to the Indian roads but still)
The roads are busy in the UK too! But we do also have some beautiful driving roads. it just means driving outside of the cities. Auto Trader have plenty of reviews - take a look at our expert reviews on the UA-cam homepage or at www.autotrader.co.uk. Thanks for your post.
It is sad that permanent AWD with crown gear differential is now replaced with Ultra-Quattro system that is essentially front-wheel drive until computer decides. No matter how you look at it - it is a reactive system, very similar to cheap systems used on RAV4, CRV, and many other predominantly front wheel drive cars. This system will have more under-steer, will be more unpredictable in the corners, and it is unclear can in ever send more torque to the rear wheels that to the front wheels? Crown gear differential could send up to 85% of the torque to the rear wheels, making cars feel sporty, handle well in the corners and fun to drive. Even though the design of this model is beautiful, I guess my current Audi is the last one that I will own.
I like the interior more on this version compared to the 2012/13 version and the facelifting although subtle, does sharpen the looks on the front. Would i swap for my A6?...NO, but I do think Audi have really got to replace rather than facelift the A4 & A6 ranges soon.
How is Audi in relation to reliability? Will it have a lot of maintenance issues like other brands (bimmer, Benz)? Thinking of getting a used 2015 one. Thanks
Nothing in this video, convinces me to buy the Audi over a 3 series. The looks are too staid, the performance figures don't impress me either, the interior, will be it's strong point, as all Audis have amazing build quality on the inside.
+Jamie Pickles i have Audi A4 and i agree with you because 4wd system of quattro are boring but the interior quality of leather and materials etc is better then bmw
For me, the issues are image and reliability. Most new A4 drivers are worse than 3er drivers in the 90s. You feel like asking them to sit on the back seat, they would be further away. They nearly also seem to love A&F clothing and be extremely 'nouveau'. Reliability isn't great too, for all the nice plastics and switches, the oily bits and electrics can be extremely fragile at times. Certainly mine was which blew its turbo at 55,000 miles.
It *still* has that slopey grill (why not just give us an enlarged one of the 2010 R8??) and will be like £10000 more than early 2nd-hand models of the other much more established 2 cars. Really bad but no worries, I'd never get one over a 2012 BMW anyway.
I really don't understand all the hypes about how 3 series being the unbeatable sport sedan. Haven't got a chance to drive the new A4, but I bet it drives better than the last generation. So with that combo you say run close to 3 series? To my eyes 3 series is far behind with its spartan interior and lukewarm handling. Every time I sit in a 3 series I feel like a 2016 Civic has similar or even higher level of refinement to be honest. I just can't believe paying around 50K for such a bad interior but not that good handling. A4 has left 3 series 10 blocks away, not ran close to.
That screen in the middle of the dash is HORRIBLE. It looks like an afterthought, "oh we forgot a screen, we will just put it right here in the middle of the dash". WTH???
novawolverine It's gotta be cvt cuz if they didn't, then their won't be a point in getting an Infiniti, but I agree with the awd. And I've only test drove the car so I don't know bout the torque steer.
Inside and Out, this looks like shit compared to the 3 competitors you just tested (the 3-series, XE, and C-Class.) This is admittedly still a nice car, and I *love* _some_ Audis, but this looks like a Honda Accord compared to those 3, and the Instrument Cluster in this A4 looks similar to a Ford or Chrysler.
It's an Audi, it will spend more time back at the Dealership having broken down. You might as well by a Passat and save lots of money, it's the same car
0:14 ''Feel they've never received the critical acclaim they richly deserve'' Mmm, I wonder why; could it be that boring non-vertical / upright grill and the fact it looks almost *exactly* the same as a model from 10 years back? Looks may not be everything / what matters is on the inside: Audi have taken this silly parable wayy too far now, outrageous especially in this modern day n age of UHD etc. It's time to face up but they may be too late anyway. They've fallen far too behind in sales standings and the new A8/A9 prologue look great but debuting in late 2017 and obviously costing a bomb will only drive BMW / Jag and Merc sales even higher: why would buyers suddenly change? Audi may make the best interiors but they just don't get it when it comes to what buyers want - the exterior styling.
+Oscar Spark the interior of the latest Camry does look as good and they have built the nav screen into the dash rather than the tacked on afterthought so popular with the latest German cars. The Jag XE has licked them all anyway.
Audi has done right by having the leather optional. There are a lot of drivers that dislike leather, like myself. WAY too hot in the summer.
+Roël Konings tell that to us in South California
+Roël Konings That's why they sell ventilated seats.
+Roël Konings yea but cloth is just appalling
+Carson Schalk Appealing you mean?
+drovid008 Hahahah yeah it gets hot there
This is a very clean 2009 A4. The owner must've taken very good care of it.
Not funny, try again.
TheMusicFan1297 I know, I said the same to Audi when I saw the design of this car. Not funny, try again.
+thoravian this applies to Porsche more.
+thoravian That's because most audi's are owned by women and they take good care of their cars.
+TheMusicFan1297 It is funny - Audi have lost their mojo.
I have the a4 2017.Couldnt be happier. The interior is modern and futurisic and at night with the ambient lighting looks like a spaceship! The key is to get the sline package with all the bells and whistles which in Canada was about $ 55000.
coach is here in 2 years how much will it be worth? ...
about as much as your mom......
the car is beautyful and the interior is incredibly well done. I would choose it over his competitors for sure.
this new a4 is fresh! The interior is awesome
I think the new front end is very well-styled, dynamic and beautiful as well. The side view, to me at least, mimics the A8 which is not a bad thing, with the upper door crease - it seems to give a "statelier" appearance. tbh this looks more like a facelift, at least the exterior
+Jacky Ho That should be enough for the target buyer which is primarily women.
+darkpill hate so much ?:(
It's not hate
+darkpill then it's ignorance.
Women prefer audis. They are pretty looking cars. That's a fact son.
Is this car being impacted by the VW recall? You just mentioned great MPG but that can change...
I fall in love with the interior..that's the design I want it.
Like it, don't love it, however as an existing Audi customer I'm finding it hard to trust anything they say right now.
It's really really awesome
I must say the looks of this new a4 have started to grow on me... When I first saw it I was like ''Meh...'' but awesome interior. Can't wait to see one in person
the car is cool and so is the place ,WHAT IS THIS PLACE?
+Rapper Mayookh Roy Hi there, this video was filmed in Susegana north of Treviso in Italy.

Rapper Mayookh Roy yyyyttggggggggggggggggggggg
do we really want to believe the claimed diesel emission figures stated by this reviewer?
Exterior looks the same for the most part, interior is improved in leaps and bounds though. Really like it.
I love it. So grown up.
My dream car
I'm reading the comments and not watching the video.
Audi has me like....
It is sad that permanent AWD with crown gear differential is now replaced with Ultra-Quattro system that is essentially front-wheel drive until computer decides. So, the new Audi A4 2016 Sport model, comes with Satellite Navigation as standard?
Someone should do a video comparing this car with the A3 sedan.
I cant forgive the styling, but everything else is very impressive
Did he time travel? Is this not newer than a 15’?
I like the interior more on this version compared to the 2012/13 version and the facelifting although subtle, does sharpen the looks on the front. Would i swap for my A6?...NO, but I do think Audi have really got to replace rather than facelift the A4 & A6 ranges soon.
Execellent reportage!
Great video!
Subscribed :D
How is Audi in relation to reliability? Will it have a lot of maintenance issues like other brands (bimmer, Benz)? Thinking of getting a used 2015 one. Thanks
Very good it's basically a Volkswagen with some modifications and a lot of the Parts are compatible
Is this effected by the VW emissions problem?, although it will be fixed by its release date
Nothing in this video, convinces me to buy the Audi over a 3 series. The looks are too staid, the performance figures don't impress me either, the interior, will be it's strong point, as all Audis have amazing build quality on the inside.
Nice looking car. I'd say realiable compared to others.
I think the 2016 Audi A4 looks great but the BMW 3 Series Is the one I would choose
+Jamie Pickles c400 coupe with AMG Sport options nearly same price as 428i coupe
+Jamie Pickles i have Audi A4 and i agree with you because 4wd system of quattro are boring but the interior quality of leather and materials etc
is better then bmw
These emissions numbers you quoted... Are they from before or after the VW scandal / cheating on diesel emissions?
What's with the KIA's tail lights AUDI?
+Ahmed D Funny, parts of the interior are also similar to KIA
Kia/hyundai has one of audi's top engineers who designs cars for them, dating back from 2006 til now. -_-
+CPT_ROB Funny part is indeed the actual KIA designer came from Audi!
For me, the issues are image and reliability. Most new A4 drivers are worse than 3er drivers in the 90s. You feel like asking them to sit on the back seat, they would be further away. Are those new gauges?
What is the name of the color shown on this car?
What Is The Top Speed On This?
The old A4's "stumbled" over pot holes? What are you talking about?! LOL... brutal...
Is this scuba blue ?
you mentioned front wheel drive and understeer in the video, but it was a quattro. 4:36
+M A L U Not all audi's are 4 wheel drive
+M A L U "The front wheel drive diesel we drove this morning..". You hard of hearing?
+mrlilmatt123 no actually, i heard it, but he didnt mentioned the quattro version - and when he criticises it for oversteer, he could build that in.
Very nice interior, shame about the ipad glued to the dash
The A4 is the only Audi that I don't like, I can't quite put my finger on it, but compared to the Jaguar or the Mercedes it looks very dull.
Putting up a s class type dash with a Bmw screen.Tadaa your A4 is ready
Looks more lika a skoda now than ever
is 2016 correct? I thought this was the 2017....
Thanks...
After looking at the new Merc interiors this looks nice but kinda boring. Same with the exterior. Still a nice car.
I don't like its cube shape gear lever and also its all round vent looks like my home radiator!
Safety?
Is this engine part of the emission scandal ?
+gilles esterhuizen No, only one older TDI which hasn't been produced since years.
Too bad this is the 2017 model. Virtual cockpit just came out this year for the A4.
2016 a4 oil problem oda kaine
It *still* has that slopey grill (why not just give us an enlarged one of the 2010 R8??) and will be like £10000 more than early 2nd-hand models of the other much more established 2 cars.
Really bad but no worries, I'd never get one over a 2012 BMW anyway.
I like the front, but the rear reminds me of the A3 too much which I dont like
+Pinoy Zoi a3 is a great car, as it should be in the past, a little nice sedan, in sedan form for your iq
+SparkySlow shut your broke ass up, you can't even buy a car past 1990s. Not my fault your broke. #sorrynotsorry
I really don't understand all the hypes about how 3 series being the unbeatable sport sedan. Haven't got a chance to drive the new A4, but I bet it drives better than the last generation. time to change that CEO
4:36 bit of a messy edit for a big name brand channel like yours
maxima is faster and has an interior that's almost as good
+Blaze Flame But you have to get a CVT and have no option of AWD. Maxima's are notorious for torque steer. The interior is really nice, though.
novawolverine It's gotta be cvt cuz if they didn't, then their won't be a point in getting an Infiniti, but I agree with the awd. And I've only test drove the car so I don't know bout the torque steer.
It's okay
Audi only release cars for test with Adaptive Suspension as do BMW they aren't that good without it.
I think thats a 2016 model...
JAGUAR XE !!!
RS4 please
Ah, Audi. For people wo prefer badges over cars.
Please be a bit more louder. Why is this tester speaking so softly ?! -.-
Same old same old but Now! available with a defeat device as standard...
It’s so boring. I chose an XE.
I wonder if the A4 TDI will come with the cheating device;)
Inside and Out, this looks like shit compared to the 3 competitors you just tested (the 3-series, XE, and C-Class.) google - European Group Says Pretty Much Everyone is Lying About Efficiency
Its like Audi designed a perfect look and decided not to change it anymore. Every Audi looks the same BOOOOOOOOOORING
Audi is a good choice for the wife.
You driving one of top of the line tfsi and you talk about semi smelly diesels awkward...
cheaters lol
sexy car
0:14 ''Feel they've never received the critical acclaim they richly deserve''

Looks okay! but boring...
looks like a tesla
the car is nice but that colour... erm
The interior looks like a toyota.
+Disinf3ctant yeah no.
It looks nothing like one
chromatics kent
I have a new camry that look just as interesting is this interior. Audi are really one generation behind Mercedes.
+Disinf3ctant you have no fucking taste to say new camry's interior looks just as interesting as this one. or you're just blind.
+Oscar Spark the interior of the latest Camry does look as good and they have built the nav screen into the dash rather than the tacked on afterthought so popular with the latest German cars. The Jag XE has licked them all anyway.
what's with his shoulders. . stop with that. . that was irritating to watch. .
Audi is trash on wheels, as is the rest of VW brands. BMW and Mercedes are the only cars worth driving.
U sound like the type of guy that would get plugged in jail
omg is looking the same from 2008...im tired of this audi look...reinvent this shit...
What a boring 🚗
