@@lokibau Perhaps, but as good as the PS3 was (mine has always had a few reliability issues, though), its technology wasn't unlimited, but that would be the case with any console. Konami did a fantastic job with the technology that was available at the time. I remember when the graphics in Gran Turismo 1 for PS1 were considered very good, but by modern standards, it looks grainy. But that's what Polyphony had to work with 24 years ago.

Edit: for the first time ever, I've been able to complete the Solid Normal difficulty. Its nothin in the grand scheme but it's something to me.

Dude, so damn good. Crying Wolf battle was so smooth and flawless. I just replayed this past week for the first time since 2014, and am now about to go for a Big Boss run, the only thing is how you have a pinch of health left and continue to battle makes me so nervous bro lol. Good work man

Seriously I figure I can do this if I can just get past the first 2 acts with no alerts, but how the hell are you running through like that?? I’ve taken the EXACT routes this video shows and I get caught every single time. Am I running too fast? Because it seems like you’re running at full speed past these NPC’s and you just don’t exist to them.
Some parts can be really tricky and it's easy to mess up. If you have footage I can check to see what you're doing
To this day, just getting the Big Boss emblem has been one of the hardest gaming things I've ever done

Its been about 14 years since I last played this game. About a week ago i finally got my hands on a ps3 again and this game. Been stupid rusty, my first play through was a littke challenging. I remembered some stuff, but a few fights i struggled with, mantis being one of them. Forgot about using the doll. Going through it again, i used this video to help get around and find easier ways to beat each boss. Thank you for posting this, its been a huge help. Maybe in due time I'll be able to speed run it half as fast as this 😂 question now, I've only gone through this once recently on easy. Going through in normal and I'm just getting to mantis... how the hell did you only get one wave of BB soldiers? My first play through on easy i had 3 waves of them before mantis finally came out 😂
For the crawling part, I Normal mashed as long as I could to conserve my energy, them used "oatsngoats" mash technique when crawling. Still a work out, but seemed to have helped me lol. Basically, hpld your thumb to your hand, with the finger tip bent down to hit the button, and shake the controller.

I'm playing through metal Gear solid 4 again trying to get all the flashbacks and then the stealth camouflage which only leaves this daunting task.
Hopefully it's going to get a remaster along with the other Metal Gear games.
This shit took me a whole year to get done; and I still only beat the time by 15 minutes.
This is impossible to diplicate

Do I have to do a new playthrough of MGS4 on Big Boss Extreme Mode and finish it with Big Boss Rank to unlock all hidden items or is it ok to start on previously completed playthrough?
You can start on previous. Make sure you have all non lethal weapons and ammo, because you can't buy non lethal ammo in Big Boss Extreme mode
@@7LiquidSnake I guess that also means I cannot use any special weapons and items won from my previous playthrough like the Bandanna, Stealth Camo, and Solar Gun?
@@MrAnimeMilitary do not use the stealth or bandana. You can use the solar gun, in fact you can kill Vamp with one charge of the solar gun. Stock up on all different non lethal ammo, stun grenades, Smokes, chaffs. Even if you have 1000 annisthetic bullets, on the big boss run it's capped at 50. So use your tranquilizer carefully.

@@MrAnimeMilitary you can "kill" the beast form with whatever, just tranquilize the beauties. Killing the beasts does not count as kills.

The first act seems the hardest. So many npcs it's tricky. Move too fast or slow and alert... Very frustrating.
Yeah after the first 2 acts the game slows down and becomes much easier

It’s a lot more about taking advantage of the fighting. The enemy won’t notice you right behind them when they can’t hear you over the din of battle nor can they afford to take their eyes off of the enemy shooting at them.
I just don't understand how you're not seen at 2:48. I'm doing the exact same thing but no matter how many times i try, the guy behind the fence keeps spotting me

This is an incredible run. It's such a technical game to Big Boss rank, and you do it all in one go.

@@Spartyyy Hi bro I don't think you'll answer but do you know how I can fix a problem with the targeted car because every time I'm going to put it in the middle of the game it doesn't appear, and it only lets me activate it in the game menu and not whenever I want within the game itself game I know the message is long but I need your answer and good guide friend!

@@Joseleteシ-f6z if you are referring to targeting (auto aim) mode, I think you would press square to change from regular to targeting. There should be an option to turn on the ability to switch between regular and auto aim if that’s what you mean. If not then I’m not sure what you mean either.
That motorcycle chase alone would make me never even consider a no save run. XD
I'm saving as much as I want for the Emblem and it's taken me like 2 hours just to get to the portion right before the Raven fight.
Does saving effect the run? (Besides time)
Saving has no impact on the run outside of time. Although saving and reloading is not allowed in a single segment run, it is allowed in the multi segment category

Doesn't count as a kill for some reason. Just finished that section today and used the barrel idea I saw here. No kills at the end of the act.
Blowing up barrel doesn't count as a kill. Needs to be direct shooting on people to count.
don't count has a kill for shoot and enemy with the barrel te counter count has 0 kill for shoot the barrel because with the barrel it's automatically dead don't worry if anyone shoot the barrel and has an enemy close to the barrel :P
If you shoot a barrel that explodes, the soldier died from the explosion not from an explosive weapon from you like a grenade or something like that

They have things im not understanding like why they have moment they litterally got ultra instinc they see you already im doin the same has you do its not work im at act 2 after the beginning where you pass like in a church at 22:47 and they see me all time and i need to reloading the save so i think you must use a cronus or something for have the "script " with you because its impossible at the beginning too where you must take your weapons it take to me 5 hours of retry because when you shoot the guard he come close to the box you paralyse him with the knife the things i do too but the guard at the left was not turned and he always see me its drive me crazy 😂😂 i got it but like i was sayin before its never goes all time like its used to be and never just like you do sometime so its a good video but i think you have cheat a little but it help to me a lot its my last objective for the platine i have all emblem

Maybe I was playing an easier difficulty or I helped them fight the PMC's but aren't they allies by default, I wonder why you gave them rations and sleep darted them underground?
If you take out a bunch of soldiers before going underground, the rebels will be friendly to you. I only took down 2 soldiers so they were in a neutral state towards me

If you make noise and catch the guard’s attention close to them, you’ll skip the cutscene

You need to get the big boss emblem to unlock the mask. You can purchase the different mk2 ammo types on a NG+ playthrough (except on the boss extreme difficulty)

You have to beat the game once on any difficulty to unlock The Boss Extreme difficulty. Then get big boss emblem. NG+ is New Game plus meaning carrying your completed playthrough into a new playthrough. It will carry over your items, weapons, and ammo

@@mrsmith7936 I feel like 4 and 5 are like polar opposites. 4 is the embodiment of what makes metal gear unique. V is just like a phantom of that old legacy that no longer exists. 4 wasn’t the best metal gear game but it didn’t ruin metal gear because while it wasn’t as high quality as the others it’s still one of the best games of all time and it kept the true essence of a metal gear game in its absurd story telling while v was just like “ we don’t have a plot so let’s just make shit happen.”
