Hi Tom! Thank you! If it wasn't for your informative videos I wouldn't be so confident with owning a T. I would also LOVE to own some of the beautiful T's that you do, however, our laws here don't allow it. Actually I'm lucky I live in Victoria, and not Tasmania, they don't allow T's there at all. I bought a Selenotypus sp. Exevale, as when I was looking at what I could buy, wanted something smaller than a Phlogius T, I also had a little fear to get over. At the start of this year I bought a Phlogius sp. Goliath, I nickname this one Golly, this little dear just loves galloping across the container and up the walls in a blink of an eye every time I feed it. I probably should have a smaller container for this sling, but with how fast it is I'm glad that at the time I got it, could only house it in a too big container. I've also noticed the Selenotypus T's have a more chunky abdomen compared with the Phlogius T's which is probably why it's so fast. I have also become a little obsessed with the different colours you can get in both types and now have 9 Phlogius species and 11 Selenotypus species with colours that range from blonde to black. I did buy one juvenile a Selenotypus sp. Champagne Robusta, I only see this T at feeding time whereas the slings I see a lot more. Awesome video. Because of you, I got my first tiny sling a few months back (Hamorii) from Fear Not. Tanya was wonderful! I had e-mailed her all nervous about Abbey being so tiny. I felt much better after the email an now have a healthy growing baby!
Well, congratulations on finally getting a Emilia. Mine is a bit of a pet hole "allways in the burrow" see it briefly after each molt, then just legs when its hungry. Goes through some nice color changes as it grows. Oh yeah belated happy b/day.

Hello, Ed! Thank you so much, bud! That was a heck of a birthday gift. And I always feel like they are getting too long and boring at times. haha I'll definitely keep that in mind.
My two tarantula slings I got were from Fear Not Tarantula! They are the green bottle blue and T. Albopilosus (Nicaraguan Curly Hair)! They were very healthy and the service from Fear Not was great! I am very happy with them and will definitely buy future tarantulas from them again! I've also been recommending them to others. :D Also, Happy Birthday!!! Thank you so much, Simon! They absolutely do, and it's a shame. My goal would be to breed these and get some captive bred ones in the hobby. Believe me, I thought long and hard about getting those...
A few things... First of all Happy Birthday Tom! Secondly, I too have bought several T's from Tanya at Fear Not T's. Excellent experience every time. Simply one of the best places to get tarantulas. And thirdly, I too had found those clear Matchbox car display boxes excellent for slings. Just an idea, to make the lids easier to open on those, I just get a piece of clear Scotch tape and on one end of lid I stick on the bottom side then loop it around and stick it on the top side and press together so you make a tab. It makes it a whole lot easier to get the lid off. And fourth, what an adorable batch of new additions to your collection.
Hello, John! Okay, first...thank you so much! Second, she and her team have been absolutely fabulous to me as well. Love that place! Third, what a great idea...thank you!!! That's awesome! :)

M. mesomelas should definitely be on your list, mine is my absolute favorite, such a beautiful spider. Also, try to watch out for the (in-) famous kick that robustum does. It is hilarious!
Thank you! Yes, I can't wait to grow them up. I would love a M. velvetosoma as well, and M. mesomelas is DEFINITELY on my list. :) And I have two older specimens, and I've seen it. It's amazing! haha

No worries, Christoph! My birthday was actually on February 21st. I posted this a week later! Hahaha It was SOOOOO chewy! lol Can't wait to grow them up!

Happy Birthday Tom! 🥳🥳 I knew you’d get a few of those new Phormictopus species, haha. Super jealous of your Cyriopagopus sp. “Bach Ma”! Cyriopagopus/Haplopelma is my favorite genus, and C. sp. Bach Ma” are such a gorgeous species! Congrats! :)
Hey, Ted! Thanks so much, bud! Man, I FREAKED when I saw that she was getting those in. haha And I've been eyeing the Bach Ma for years, so I'm so glad that I finally have one. Just wish that I double checked the genus before posting! haha
Happy Birthday Tom 💕 i love getting new spiders its so exciting to open the little pot for the first time and seeing new spiderfriend and you got nice species those Birupes simoroxigorums are amazing w/ their blue legs and yep super important to have tiny ones in the right size enclosure. I am looking after some small spiderlets atm bcus all my christmas spiders were small but a couple like Dolicothele diamantinensis and Neostenotarsus sp. are especially tiny. its so easy for them to disappear in too big enclosures and I definitely like to be able to check on my small spiderlets
Thank you, Super Loops! I agree completely...there is just nothing like it. Those Birupes simorixigorums were a huge shock. I'm so floored to have them. Yeah, the tiny ones still freak me out. I don't like when I can't find them among the dirt. The D. diamantinensis should put on size for you quickly. Mine were fast growers. Thanks again!
Happy birthday day Tom. Some very nice spiders there, I understand where you are coming from with the birupes, but let's be honest they are extremely beautiful tarantulas. :)
Happy birthday Tom! Awesome video, have fun with Birupes, i hope i'll get one in near future, also thank you, for inspiring me your passion to phormictopus. I thought i will stay with some standard tarantulas, and here i am, with all available phormictopus, xenesthis and theraphosa's in my country :)
Happy birthday :) I just got a tiny old old work sling, cute little selenotypus sp banana? Maybe as tiny as your littlest one, so scary but I’m so happy, I have 3 babies now and 1 big girl, thanx for all the amazing info!
You finally got an Emilia! Yay! Thanks for the always knowledge and entertaining video. You’re my favorite tarantula guy. Your videos helped me get into the hobby. 😊👍🏻
Tom Moran If it helps It always made me feel pretty cool whenever you’d mention not having an Emilia. I’d puff out my chest and be like ‘Even Tom Moran don’t have one of these’. 😂😂😂
I don't know if I've mentioned this, but your name makes me giggle every time I read it. haha Thank you so much, bud! And I'm sure they will. Those are a VERY hot seller for her!
Just got an order in from fearnot and was amazed at the packing and separating foam for heat pack. Picked up five M. balfouri and got a B. Smithi for my freebie. I'm a happy camper lol
Thank you so much, Charles! Yeah, I've been ordering from them for years, and they are fantastic. Congrats on the latest additions, and good luck with your communal! :)
I definitely smell your pain with the dogs! LOL! The smallest slings I've had so far are the Dolichothele diamantinensis. My first was so small it did actually manage to get out a ventilation hole. I have two now that are staying put. Can't wait for that molt though!! I would love to see a video with a lot of nerdy facts about that Phormictopus cochleasvorax. I have a very organic yard and tons of Cepaea I could use for feeders. I know they can eat crickets, but hey - who doesn't want a spider you can watch eat a snail??
Those dog farts...dear Lord. haha Yeah, I almost had that happen years ago with a B. smithi sling! Those guys grow very quickly, so yours should be putting on size soon. And I will definitely do a video on them once mine put on some size. I'll also have to find some snails... :) Thanks, Morgan!
The smallest sling I've ever raised was my female C. Elegans. I got her at 1/8 of and inch. Was always so worried about raising such a tiny thing, now I'm ok with small slings
Some great species there. I picked up my second Birupes simoroxigorum today I will be interested to see if yours burrows at all. Had my first since September and it's not burrowed at all. Also picked up my first Chylobrachys species also really excited to get that one. Oh and happy birthday!
Thank so much, Len! Congrats on your second B. simoroxigorum (I've been practicing the name for the last week). haha It's funny that you mentioned the burrowing, as neither of mine have burrowed yet (it's been over a week). And congrats on your Chilobrachys! :)
Absolutely awesome!!!!! Dog farts ...the worst!!! Unboxing birthday stuff...Awesome!!! I love bow and birthday box super cool of them. What a present Congratulations!! Happy old farts day.
How's it going, Jimmy! Thanks so much! Man, these were so bad that they almost smelled good at some point. hahaha Yeah, that was so awesome. What a fantastic gift all around. Thanks again!

@@TomsBigSpiders you're welcome rehouse master 🕷️🕷️🕷️
Happy birthday Tom! Can't wait to see the husbandry videos for these spiders. Really interested to see how long your Megaphobema robustum slings stay fossorial. My girl is about 4.5 to 5 inches and is still staying in the substrate.
Hey, Dusty! Thanks so much! I have two others that are both around 5, and both STILL burrow! I don't think that you're alone. :)
Happy Belated Birthday!!! What an amazing haul!!! Cant wait for future videos!!!
Thank you so much, Amanda! Yeah, this was an awesome gift. :)
Many happy returns on what we'll call your (ah-hem) twenty first birthday (I've had two and working on three if ya know what I mean) thank you for the videos as I do so enjoy them and they help very much to take my mind off a painful illness im struggling with but when I'm watching you or dark den or Kat or Dan or exotics lair you guys just take my mind right off it so thank you always for sharing your beautiful hobby with us.

Happy birthday Tom!! You got an awesome birthday haul there. I can’t believe you didn’t have a B. Emilia😮
Thank you so much, Tink! Yeah, this was an amazing haul and MUCH more than I thought that I was getting. Hahaha. That once has caused quite a bit of shock over the years! lol
Sending you birthday wishes Tom, I hope all of them thrive! I can’t wait to see their progress 🤩 it was nice to see an unboxing from you 👍🏾 I always look forward to your content 🙌🏾
Hey, Queen SheezaGB! Thank you so much! I'll look forward to doing updates on them. Yeah, I honestly don't do too many of them. hahaha Thanks again! :)
Just wish that I double checked the genus before posting! haha
Tom Moran Yea the Cyriopagopus/Haplopelma genus is a taxonomic mess right now, haha :)
Happy birthday Tom been listening to your podcast super informative and helpful thank you
Thanks so much, Austin! :) And double thanks for listening to the podcast!
The production value of these videos have really gone up over time. Nice editing/camera skills Tom!
Thank you so much! Billie has been doing a great job with the camera work, and we're really trying to polish things up. :)
Happy Birthday Tom 🎊🎉 an go Billy for picking some awesome T’s
Thank you so much! She did GREAT with this one! :)
Happy Birthday Tom 💕
i love getting new spiders its so exciting to open the little pot for the first time and seeing new spiderfriend and you got nice species those Birupes simoroxigorums are amazing w/ their blue legs and yep super important to have tiny ones in the right size enclosure.
Hey, James! Thank you so much! Yeah, I had to give a LOT of thought to those. A lot of thought.... And they are absolutely stunning! hahaha
Awesome 👏🏼 collection Happy Birtday Tom🎂🧁🍻cheers
Thank you so much, Rolando!
Thank you so much! Man, I was so psyched to get the Birupes...what gorgeous spiders! And that is awesome! I love Phormictopus. :) Thanks again!
Happy birthday :) I just got a tiny old old work sling, cute little selenotypus sp banana? Maybe as tiny as your littlest one, so scary but I’m so happy, I have 3 babies now and 1 big girl, thanx for all the amazing info!
Thank you so much, Louise! Congrats on your new sling! Yeah, the tiny ones freak me out a bit. haha :)
A wide variety, happy birthday.
I was shocked, honestly. Thank you!
Happy birthday Tom
Thank you so much!
Cool birthday press happy birthday Tom
Thank you so much! Yeah, this one will be hard to beat. haha
Springtails! Holy cow! NICE birthday presents!
I know, right? I put in roach legs the other day just in case. lol Thanks!
Wow so many new additions. Happy Birthday.
Yeah, WAY more than I was expecting. haha Thank you, Channy!
That's a great Birthday gift! Happy belated Birthday hope it was great :)
It was awesome, Charlotte! And thank you so much!
You finally got an Emilia! Yay! Thanks for the always knowledge and entertaining video. You’re my favorite tarantula guy. Your videos helped me get into the hobby. 😊👍🏻
Hahahaha. That hole in my collection has finally been filled. haha And thank you so much! That's awesome!
Tom Moran If it helps It always made me feel pretty cool whenever you’d mention not having an Emilia. I’d puff out my chest and be like ‘Even Tom Moran don’t have one of these’. 😂😂😂
Congratulations Tom, nice new additions!
Thanks so much, bud! :)
Happy birthday, and thank you for your well thought out videos
Thanks so much, Will!
Happy birthday! I got WAY more stress rehousing my C elegans slings than my OBT. I think I'm going to stick with larger Ts for a while!
Thank you, Bobbi! hahaha I hear you! :)
Happy birthday! Great vid as always
Thank you, Derek! :)
Happy birthday great gifts. Fear not is top notch always.Hopfully the get more Balfouri soon.
I don't know if I've mentioned this, but your name makes me giggle every time I read it. haha
Thank you so much, bud! And I'm sure they will. Those are a VERY hot seller for her!
Tom Moran glad I can give you a chuckle. I appreciate your content. I’m sure especially tax and show times.
Happy birthday Tom :D Cant wait to see videos about them :) Only one of those I have is the I. mira, so cant wait to see how u house the others :D
Thanks so much, Kristian! Yeah, I forgot to record the I. mira rehousing. haha I was SO tired though! lol
Thanks for the great video Tom. Was a great help for housing our P sp Rufus sling.
Oh, man..I'm so glad that this was helpful! And congrats on your sling!
Just got an order in from fearnot and was amazed at the packing and separating foam for heat pack. Picked up five M. balfouri and got a B. Smithi for my freebie. I'm a happy camper lol
Oh yeah and happy birthday too hehe
Thank you so much, Charles! Yeah, I've been ordering from them for years, and they are fantastic. Congrats on the latest additions, and good luck with your communal! :)
Congratulations on your 25th birthday!😉
Bahahahahaha. You're one of the good ones, bud! ;)
Happy Birthday Tom! :)
Thank you so much, Justin!
Happy birthday Tom!
Thank you, Dan!
Happy happy birthday!
Thank you, Earnest!
Happy Birthday 🥳!!!!
Thank you so much, Shauna! :)
The smallest sling I've ever raised was my female C. Elegans. I got her at 1/8 of and inch. Was always so worried about raising such a tiny thing, now I'm ok with small slings
I've raised a bunch, but they still freak me out. haha Thanks, Victor!
Man, these were so bad that they almost smelled good at some point. hahaha
Yeah, that was so awesome. What a fantastic gift all around. Thanks again!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Thank you!
Awesome videos. I ordered G. Pulcripes and C. Versicolor. My very first 2 T's from fearnot. I book marked your videos for information and help. Keep up the great work, and happy belated birthday.
Congrats on your two new acquisitions and on joining the hobby! Those are two of my favorites! Let me know if you have any questions, as I have a lot of experience with both. :)
I will. Thank you for the response and all the time and information you provide
