- We received our Fear Not Tarantulas Mystery Box. The ones we bought were Scott's Sweet & Fluffy, BJ's Big Beauty, and Michelle's Award Winning T, plus 2 other species and a freebie! Check out the video and help us guess what you think it is. By the way, my daughter's name is Elise. I forgot to introduce her although she's been in my Chili Challenge video.

Awesome stuff dude! Looks like you got some seriously cool species there. I wish I could get it on the mystery box fun...I think it is just something ingrained in my personality...I just find no enjoyment in the gambling aspect...the mystery stresses me out...lol. of course I live in a town with a huge fancy casino as it main tourist attraction and I've yet to go inside....so I'm sure it is just me. That M. robustum looks amazing...I really need to get one for my collection one day!

the Tarantula Collective I completely get it. I am not a gambler myself. This is only the 2nd one I’ve done. I missed the one when they sold the Aphonopelma moorae and I pretty much knew what it was from the clues but didn’t take the chance. Last time I really wanted a B. smithi and the P. sp. rufus and guessed correctly. So I got them a little bit cheaper than what they sold them for. There is the possibility of getting the common T but I’m still cool with it. I ended up with 2 OBT’s on the last one. I gave one to a friend. This time I got the G. iheringi but it’s a species I probably wouldn’t have chosen and it’s actually pretty amazing. You can’t beat getting any Xenesthis for $50. 🤓🕷

I love the thrill of the gamble. Playing Cs:GO opening boxes and getting a super rare gun or knife, fifa and NHL with the player card packs, Poker, Blackjack, and evening slots I enjoy. I am lucky that I know when to stop. But I have gotten lucky a lot. Even on the Radom scratch offs. The adrenaline and dopamine rush when you win is almost as thrilling as a roller coaster to me.

If so sucks I wasnt able to get that one before they sold out. I did manage to get 4 before they sold out, one of which was the T. Apophysis. Good thing I already have an X. Intermedia, def wouldnt have minded having another though

I think the sweet and fluffy might be a pink zebra beauty, considering it too is a rare new world terrestrial and of a docile nature

Welcome to the channel! My daughter has caught the tarantula bug. With these new additions she now has 7 T’s. My kids are actually the reason I got back into the hobby and went nuts. 😂
Awesome video. I appreciated when you put the image up of the full sized tarantula so we know what the species looks like! I'm terrified of spiders myself but for some reason addicted to tarantula videos 🤷😂

The Scorpion Burrow LOL! I give her fits. She’s a late sleeper but she wanted to go so she was already eyeballing me for being hyper and overly excited. I embarrass her every chance I get, or rather embarrass myself in public which in turn embarrassed her. 😂

Ohh, your daughter is cute! The fuzzy and cute i think is T albo and the prize winning looks like a Xenesthis sp. I have had many of those and the slings pretty much looks like that
ArcticDreamers Rapture don’t know about the T. albo. The clue said it was rare and the T. albo is anything but rare. Hopefully it will not be. 🤓

There will always be another. The cool thing is it always coincides with one of their imports so there’s no telling what the “big one” is gonna be on the next mystery event.
If my guess is correct i think justins’ is the best out of the bunch. I think it looks like a T. Apophysis sling

The one with the red rump looks to be a G.Actaeon or a G. Ihernigii
I think you're right. I think it's iheringi. Largest of its genus is the giveaway. Never had one so I'm happy. Strange little guy. XD

I disagree, I'd say your were correct with pamphobeteus Alex, P antinous in my opinion, they too look the same and are the largest of the pamphobeteus genus
Also another clue is BJs big beauty, a common name for P antinous is big black

Tracy A my guess on Raphael’s is H. pulchripes. I believe Justin’s is Theraphosa apophysis. I could be wrong. 😂

the one you said may be a pamphoeteus, the one with the long legs looks like either a grammostola acteaon or grammostola iheringi. They look pretty similar, so also similar to the clue. The others, not a clue. The award wining t does look like a xenethsis sp though

I think ur right on the X species. Never had one either. I don't think the other is a pamphobeteus. I could be wrong but I figured all or almost all of them have that amazing Christmas tree pattern. I only have machala so I'm not reliable. We'll see though. Honestly, who cares. They all are absolutely beautiful either way ♥️♥️♥️
Damien Kinchen I think you’re right on the Pampho. I’ve never had one but from what I’ve seen they all pretty much look the same as slings. I think someone got it right and said it was a G. iheringi. I’ve never had one of those either so I’m all good. 😂

I love that you got a burica. I bought that one for my coworker and it was her first tarantula about the time this video came out. I haven't got to see it myself but she says it's doing well and starting to show its blue colors. How are yours doing? Can we get an update?

What would you use to create ventilation in those small deli cups for skins that tiny? Also, would they be on fruit flies? I’m new to the hobby..

Sarah Gökce FearNotTarantulas. They are a US tarantula vendor and they have a mystery event a couple of times a year. They always provide clues and they sell for $50 each. Sometimes you get a tarantula if much greater value and sometimes you get one of the same or slightly lower but it’s usually something good.
was it a G. Iheringi? or Actaeon ? those two get mistaken for each other a lot :)
I signed up to get an email notification for the mystery box event, but didn't get one. Then by the time I had a chance to check to see if they were available for purchase they were sold/no longer taking purchases for the event. I was frustrated, this would've been my first time purchasing a mystery box. UGH.
That sucks. I think I did the same thing on something to let me know when a species was in stock. If I’m not mistaken I think it ended up in my junk folder and I never saw it. Follow them on FB. That’s how I found out about it. Sorry you didn’t get to participate. I think they do it twice a year. 🤓🕷

Aw that’s a shame. I always worry about that with the tiny ones. Sometimes I’ll just leave them in the DRAM vial until they get a little bit of size.

Hello im.new to trangulas i got a Mexican tred knee i got her last fri she molded sat she hasnt ate in a week when will her eat
It usually takes them about a week to harden but sometimes they will wait a little longer to eat. Wait a few more days then try again. She should be good and hungry by then.

I never ever see my blue front! It burrowed months ago when I got it and stays hidden. It seems to eat fine and then closes the burrow back up........

Tarantula Haven I have a sling only! I am actually really new to the hobby and picked one up because it looked like something I would enjoy growing up. Out of the 30 some I have now that one and the A. seemanni are my only 2 that are constantly in the burrows.
