He knows how to give you the actual information you need to know about the bikes without declaiming the manufacturer's same stuff as other motorcycle journalists do. Top comment in that it makes 110mph feel like 50mph. I bought my first Busa in 2001 and thats exactly the reaction I had then. I couldn't believe how fast I was actually going. Fortunately, I also couldn't believe how fast the brakes stopped the bike, otherwise I would have definitely been in the bushes on the first ride. Good to hear it still has that same impact.
Just love Chris's reviews, even when they are on bikes that really don't fit my interest. His genuine enthusiasm for all things motorcycling just draws you in to whatever it is he is talking about. Great work Chris, the other journos can't touch you!

Great review and totally on point. I have a 2013 'Busa after having owned several sport bikes. It gives you the thrill of speed like a sport bike, but it's larger and more comfortable. When I ride with my small group, we typically do 400-500 mile days, which is no problem. It corners MUCH better than people think, especially with some sticky Dunlop Sport Max tires. If wind buffeting (and the law) weren't a concern, you really could ride this bike at 120-140 mph all day long. I've owned quite a handful of bikes in my life, but the 'Busa is by far my favorite. It does everything well.

I think I fit the target market perfectly. Thanks for the great review. I think Suzuki nailed it. Improve on a legendary bike, without destroying what fundamentally made it legendary.
Had a Gen 2 Busa for 7 years and it was one hell of a machine. It could pull a tank down the road! But in the end, the clip on bar riding position got too much for my bad back so had to trade her in for a more upright bike. But what a great 7 years I had! This new model looks really nice. More angular in places but undeniably a Busa. The legend lives on!!!

I like this Hayabusa motorcycle. I've got a Yamaha Stryker and switching over to a gsxs1000f this year because its an upright sporty standard. This Hayabusa is definitely a fast machine, hope I could take one out for a spin, and end up buying it
Best review of the Busah by a country 0.8 mile. Really appreciate the way you summarise the distinct qualities and what niche the bikes you review fit into. I also notice you kept it pinned to the second line on the strip! 😯 🎩 👍. Many thanks. G.
the fun of the BUSA for me is just like when you see a FERRARI down the rode you know that its fast you know that they have all the power in the world so when you come to a red light and people see your BUSA they not gonna try you, they gonna respect the POWER that they know you have and that enought to make me smile great video mate.
Everything he said, is what they said about the Gen I. A lot of weight, but you don't notice when it's rolling. I still have my 2000... got it down to about 480lbs. Had a Gen II as well for a few years, but kept the original. Now, about who it appeals to? I was 47 yrs old, and had 14 years of a Gixxer, when I bought the "cult" Busa. The most perfect, easy bike to ride. Handles impeccably. I don't think I'm too old at 68 to love the 3rd incarnation. (And get a lowered seat.) Oh, and I'm a little old lady with two Corvettes...and have owned over 30 bikes, but the Busa is a keeper.
I’ve worked in the bike industry for a fair while and only just stumbled across Chris and his unique style of motorcycle review!! This was Epic and I found myself hooked, even though I don’t want to purchase this Hayabusa! 😂 Brilliant review Chris, loving the way conduct your videos! 👌

I’m not done with my sports bike phase yet but in a few years potentially I might head this way. I saw one on the road yesterday and since then my interest has been piqued, it looked spectacular and sounded special!
A proper mental bike for a proper mental rider, with enough selfcontrol not to be a lunatic. You obviously fit the requirements to ride one of these mate! :) Bang on review, enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing the passion.
Good sensible review and quite accurate in your description I think. I have a Gen II and can allude to the performance and your review. Nice to see you give Suzuki the credit it’s due. All the other reviews or tests before actually RIDING it are unfair and misleading Thanks for the video 👍
Great review. The child in me (at 69 years old) really wants a Hayabusa, .... but my knees say no thanks. My current bike's a '88 Katana 1100 where the riding position looks pretty similar and the steep bend in the knees with me being 6'1" feels too cramped at times. I think I'm almost at that adventure bike age now. ;)
Is Chris the best reviewer/rider ? has to be, gets straight to the point and the man can ride - best of all, his enthusiasm boils over !! And that's what bikes are about right ? 👍👍🙂
Thanks Nick! We don't bother with the spec sheet, there are plenty of places where you can find that info, it's about how the bike makes us feel, why else do we all ride? Cheers
When the Hyabusa first hit the streets, it was an absolute snarling, fire spewing, beast. It was the fastest street bike ever made at the time. Now this new one is just another pretty face in the crowd. I kind of expected more outrageous performance not less.
My god that braking!! Hope you had a light breakfast Anyhow, the best videos and reviews for me goes to you. The things you do on bikes are just mind bending
That giddy laugh @5:30 hit home. I would have been nervously laughing because I almost messed up and went off course. And the wheelies are amazing! You got skills. This Busa may be the best looking yet. It’s gorgeous in photos. It’s just a damn shame they didn’t drop the weight. Weight matters everywhere and it’s just too damn heavy!
7:00 I am a child of 67 years old! Years ago I beat every GS 1000 with my Honda CBX 1000! 😎 Now 43 years later I would like to walk over to the Hayabusa 21 and feel it flutter on my cadence... It has been ordered before July 😢 it will be a white, so white as my face when HE flies with me... You can count on that! I Another great and original review, thanks! 👍
In my experience working at a bike shop, the Hayabusa is for the people who want a reliable road sports bike with a (relatively!) comfortable ride and awesome performance. It's kind of an old school hyperbike: Any paved road, it'll take you from state to state and blast everything on the way. Won't break down and leave you stranded, will offer huge speed when desired. It's also kind of a status symbol. It has instant recognizability and presence on the road with that Hayabusa legend as well. For some, it of course offers plenty of tuning and modding possibilities with perhaps a different group of customers going for that effect. We see lots of customers who are very passionate about biking riding their second, third etc Hayabusa. They love to keep them well, washing, polishing and servicing. Busa riders are also the type of people who just keep coming back to your shop just to have a little chat and see what's up, go to biker events and cafes and so on.
I love sport-tourer class. I had a Kawasaki ZX-6R (2004) for 3 years then upgraded to BMW R1200S (2007) as soon as it came out. They were the same power, but vastly different riding experience. The R1200S was so much more comfortable and smoother and packed with features that Ninja lacked. I've later had to abandon bike-riding due to health issues, but this new Hayabusa seems almost perfect and is very tempting.
I am 67 years old and have owned a total of 30 motorcycles, all makes and models. My 2009 Hayabusa was one of the most memorable.
That's some Rich history they
5:20 that braking is phenomenal. And the giggles at the end! Just had to watch that again a few times
Me too , lucky Chris ✌🏻
I shat my dacks for him, watching that. Don’t know if I would trust a bike that I had just got on to do that.
Choam, I'm sure he thought he was in the grass as well. Top rider there. 👍
That's called abs now days, makes braking on straight line almost too easy.
@@Beyondthepress The system is great for sure, but I think most of us would have ended up on the grass anyway

When the Hyabusa first hit the streets, it was an absolute snarling, fire spewing, beast. It was the fastest street bike ever made at the time. Now this new one is just another pretty face in the crowd. I kind of expected more outrageous performance not less.
My god that braking!! Hope you had a light breakfast
Anyhow, the best videos and reviews for me goes to you. The things you do on bikes are just mind bending
OMG! that breaking maaaaaannn!!!!!! i know that feeling when you giggle inside the helmet.... i have seen that moment 4 5 times
You are the best reviewer by far imo.
Chris reviews are class.
Luckily a lot of aftermarket parts available to drop all that weight..👌
@@TOPSPEEDBUSA Exhausts to start with.
@@belviewaberdeenbelviewaber4750 pretty easy to drop 100lbs on a Busa
Excellent camera work. I like how you defined the Busa's new role. Smooth. I need one.
What a great review * a great reviewer . Fun , informative and natural . Very well thought through...would have easily enjoyed a much longer review.
5:23 wow that was some impressive braking!
braking not breaking
7:00 I am a child of 67 years old! Years ago I beat every GS 1000 with my Honda CBX 1000! 😎 Now 43 years later I would like to walk over to the Hayabusa 21 and feel it flutter on my cadence... It has been ordered before July 😢 it will be a white, so white as my face when HE flies with me... You can count on that! I Another great and original review, thanks! 👍
Best reviews hands down. Thank you.
Thanks
New to this guy's videos, but I'm already a big fan. Great reviews
Cheers Brian, glad you found us.
Wheelies at 140+ Brakes at the Extreme track limit and the cool silvery white and red colour Busa . Super cool review thanks
Cheers Paul!
Categorically the best bike reviewer out
Cheers!
I feel the same about my 05 first gen hayabusa. A lot of power but smooth and gradual not twitchy that’s why I love it
Amazing that the early ones went OVER 200 right out of the box!!!
,,, i remember the 1st year on the magazine was 202 MPH
This is what Professional Riders do…💥
I loved that review. It kept my interest and made me smile. Frst class.
