Hello 👋 Micka, we use catfish as a substitute for tuna for making casseroles and sandwich spread. We try to adjust our diet to eating more locally based foods. I can catch catfish within a few miles of the house. Tuna is quite a drive from Tennessee 😂

Always looking for ways to use catfish. As much as I like it fried I get tired of fixing fish the same way all the time. We make crab cakes except use catfish instead of crab. Definitely going to try this. If you have more recipes bring it on I’d love to see what you have. It’s a pet peeve of mine when people won’t try new things and turn their nose up at it. Another great video in my opinion!

Hi Micka - new subscriber here . I’ve subscribed to Spencer for awhile. Thanks for the great cooking video . I’m hoping for more . A great add to a fishing video or by itself . Other species would be awesome. I am hoping somebody throws a crawfish trap over the side and cooks some of them up on a video . I tried a seafood soup at a south Omaha fish place awhile back and that was amazing . I’m hoping to see that sometime . Have a great weekend .

Micka - sounds great . I’ve always thought a UA-cam short with a food prep is a great way to get attention to a video . I’ve yet to see a person do it but … seasoning a catfish filet or the start of a slaw would make me follow .
