Living in the Dallas/Ft Worth area of Texas, we don't really have any good rivers to fish. We're still waiting on our lake water temps to get down out of the eighties. I've been able to fish the Tennessee River a couple of times and I miss it! Great video Micka! I love the seeing the joy you get out of each and every fish you catch. It's always a great way to start my morning! Flatheads are so much fun to catch.
What an epic trip. We had several heck ya's and a couple of long laughing sessions. Oh yes, 2 fantastic flats and a solid blue. You can't ask for more. Be blessed. My friend.
Great video Micka. I'm down at Wheeler and went to the ramp on Friday to check out the river and there was so much trash and logs in the River from Helene runoff that we cancelled our Saturday trip, just not worth a lower unit 😢 They have since dropped the Dam release down to 80k cfs and lowered the river by 3' so hopefully we can get out this week.
Very Nice! "Why is the line over there?" Been there, cool! Amazing stud flatheads dude. You got me wanting to target flatties. You're getting close to TN record flatty man, how cool would that be! Over here on WB, Water is moving, debris everywhere, chocolate milk, and definitely in fall transition. Highly scattered, catch as many deep as you do on the flats. Cmon cooler water.
Caught my first big flathead (43 lbs) last weekend, what a fight they put up! What net is that you are using? Mine is not big enough, had a heck of a time getting that big boy in the boat.
I have with very mixed results. Usually end up getting into a bunch of little fish. Due to it being shallow water. Now bait like that over deeper water is a really good area to hit.
@@thekyroshon it's just a cheap net I got off Amazon. The cheapest 7 footer with lead weights I could find. I apologize for not knowing the brand but I'll see if I can't find it.
Awesome flat heads! Not trying to be a jerk but you have 4 of your rods out, with 2 on each side. ( If I'm seeing right). Anyway seems to me that you have the odds in your favor for the fish to hit those rods. Hope that makes sense.
You could have a million rods out, but if you’re in the wrong spot, or you have poor boat control, you won’t do well. Having more rods out also means more snags and crossed lines to deal with.
@@thefishingwolf6811 thank you. Yeah I was more specifically talking about my new 2.0 rods. Those are the ones on the outside. But just those two rods have put 75% of the fish I catch in the boat since I've been using them. Also by no means did I take that as you being a jerk so don't worry about that lol.
Get you a laundry basket and you could dump your net in that laundry basket and then go straight to your live without ever getting that mess all of your floor
Those were 2 nice flatheads. And I've never seen anyone throw a net as good and consistent as you
