Wonderful presentation! I’m 61 and having a consultation soon. As of now my eyes are good just glasses for reading. My one question is.. my eye doctor told me I do have a cataract in the right eye, but it would be awhile before I would have to do anything. If I have the eyelids done would there be any problem with the cataract and 2nd question is why can you not close your eyes after surgery for a couple days? Thank you! Karen
Can you please tell me what the reddish purple bumps are on my upper, inner eyelids after upper eyelid surgery? I have two on each eye on the inner corners. I had surgery on Feb. 20, 2019. I went for a check up after a week, so I didn't really notice them. Now, after almost two months, I still have the bumps and they are painful when I touch them. I have an appointment next week with my surgeon, but I have asked several times over the phone what these bumps are. No one will tell me. I have been super stressed out by this and other bad things that I have since surgery, but this bothers me the most. I am not Gordon, but I am his wife. Thank you in advance for your response.
Question Doctor...I had my upper blepharoplasty 3 weeks ago. My scars are still raised, grooved, lumpy and bumpy where the sutures were and I can't cover them up with makeup, I tried. I'm only able to conceal the redness...I haven't been back to work yet because of it. Do you know if the scars will smooth out? If so, how long does it take? I appreciate any feedback.
Hi, nasty badger. It's hard to tell you if the scars will smooth out without having a chance to look at them myself. One way to speed up the healing process is to use silicone gel or silicone sheeting on the scar itself which will help soften and smooth out the scar. I would also touch base with your surgeon to see if they have another recommendations.
@@FaceliftExpert I see...my doctor says I look fine and that they'll eventually smooth out but wouldn't give me a time frame...ugh... I have been applying Stratamed silicone ointment on the scars but it isn't doing anything with the lumps and bumps...it may have helped with the redness of the scars but I'm not sure...
@@cloudy-sky134 I had to have them surgically removed six months later...some scars are still very visible so I will now need CO2 laser which I have scheduled in the fall.

Have the bumps smooth out by now? I'm asking because I have the same thing after my bletharoplasty...
