Hi Tom. Thanks for getting back to me on the carb float and needle. My mechanic did a rebuild and I installed the carb back on the vehicle. 2 barrel carb on 1966 International Travelall. The air/ fuel mixture screws should be approximately how many turns out?? Right now they are 2 turns out from bottom. I tried to start vehicle but battery needed a charge as I could only get a few turn overs. The carb wasn't even wet with fuel because I'm sure it was filling up the bowl in the carb. My question was if you knew how many turns out from bottom should those air/fuel screws should be. My mechanic said start at 2. And so he set them at 2 turns out from bottom. He said the float was way off and he replaced needle and seat and seals. He did a rebuild. So now I'm waiting on battery for a good cranking to get it fired up. Anyways thanks for the great vids and your responses.

Just saw your comment 2 turns is where I start. Be sure timing and idle speed is correct before adjusting idle mixture. Make sure your oil isn’t fuel saturated, change it if it is. sorry for the late reply. Let me know how how it goes

@@TomAutoTV Thanks for getting back to me, but what is idle speed? If I recall one of your videos is that the idle screw should just touch the plate?? Vehicle ran fine before the flooding. Timing should be good. I believe I have to change out my spark plugs because they look old and are dirty. I will do an oil change as well. Much appreciated info from you. Thank you.

@@JH-jh2oe idle speed is adjusted by the screw that is touching the linkage that operates the throttle plate. Always adjust when warm 650-700 rpms should be fine
