The boyfriend who's restrained in the chair is supposed to be Prince. The reason why it's funny is because she actually dated Prince. And the girl he screamed he makes is the sound that Prince often did in his songs. When they make the reference to her boyfriend being a man who dresses like a woman, they were talking about NBA player Dennis Rodman who made a big scene in the public dressed in a wedding dress with a wig and make up around the time the two of them got engaged/Or married.

I want to say I heard about a situation like this around 1999 or 2000, but I might be mistaken on the year. Not sure if I saw it on the an old forensics show, or the news etc. I’m sure there are definitely some articles online.

Fun Facts: The Wayans Brothers wanted R&B singer Aaliyah to be Brenda but it was a parody of Brandy's character of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and she didn't want to make fun of her that they asked Lil Kim but it didn't work.
Alicia Silverstone was offered Cindy's role but turned it down.
Jared Leto was offered Bobby's character but he decided to do another movie that came out the same year Requiem for a Dream which Marlon Wayans was also in but they probably needed Jared more.
Britney Spears and Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg was both offered Drew Decker but both turned it down.
Jamie Lee Curtis was in the original script as a cameo of her hiding in a closet.
Damon Wayans was the original killer and it was supposed to be like "This is for not putting me in the movie" it would have been funny but we still got one of the best movies in the world.
That Damon Wayans twist for that reason would've been quite appropriate fof this genre - that kind of quasi4thwallbreaking Zuckerism the most clever of these films are known for haha

You guys just don’t know, but The Wayans have a VERY uncomfortable humor that we appreciated throughout much of the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. That man on the boat who got whipped is the mastermind behind their comedic genius and he WANTS you to laugh so don’t be ashamed 😉.
Please watch the next 2 as well. Scary Movie 3 is my underrated favorite but this one is hysterical

“Those is Dixie cups” in Scary Movie 2 and “Now who the FUCK did that?!” and “Cindy, this bitch is messing up my floor!!” in Scary Movie 3 get me every time🤣🤣🤣
"Not Another Teen Movie" is another one that fits right in with the style they were going for, here, with all the callbacks to all the other stuff they're parodying, like this one pulls the Keyzer Soze ending.
Yes! In my opinion I think Not Another Teen Movie is even a little funnier then this. They also re-enact scenes word for word, even making it look like the same exact sets and they are just hilarious! I really hope they do that one after the holiday.

The "Wazzup" thing started as a Budweiser football ad from 1999 to 2002, so this was right in the middle of it!
Watched this movie in the theater when I was 15 with my 3 older siblings and 2 cousins. We were all dying laughing in a half filled theater, and we were the only ones laughing. Lol
This movie is pretty much half and half Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The part of the movie when they hit the man and threw him in the water is from the movie I Know What You Did Last Summer. Along with some other parts of this movie.
So the "waasssssssaaaaapp" is from an old Budweiser commercial that took the world by storm. The internet was still in its infant days. If you wanted to watch it again someone actually had to put a whole website together to watch ONE video. There was no Google, youtube, etc. You can find the old commercial on UA-cam &, for me, it's hilarious to see again after nearly 25 years. Fantastic reaction guys. Love you both.

The Lethal Weapon parody already exists: National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1 starring Emilio Estevez & Samuel L. Jackson. But give Not Another Teen Movie a definite view as it parodies almost every 80's and 90's teen flick.
Cindy's dad was in the 'burbs, would definitely love to see yall do that one this month... Loved laughing at this with y'all and y'all definitely have to do Part 2 lol it's the best one!

That "You wouldn't make fun of a guy in a wheelchair" line is actually an Easter egg. Before this film, the actor who played Greg, Lochlyn Munro, starred in the Canadian TV series "Northwood" where his character ended up in a wheelchair.

I was hoping you'd watch this after your Scream reaction. You need to watch Scary Movie 2 but should really watch The Haunting first because a lot of it is based off of that and it's always funnier to know the references of parodies. The Wayans brothers are pure geniuses... not to mention you guys are very fun to watch! 😁

This movie is part of my childhood, so funny, I've always loved it. And the fun fact is that I just saw Scream for the first time a couple weeks ago and I'm still shoked how much I loved it😂 however they got me because I was thinking all the movie that Dewey was the killer!!!

You know, I'm 44 years old, and I'm disabled living in Washington State, and my favorite pastime is to watch you guys at a lot of other UA-camrs react to movies and songs, and to tell you I've had a rough 10 years would be putting it lightly but seeing you and your brother crackwise at movies and laugh it brings great joy to my heart and in the past 3 months I've lost 51 lbs. And getting stoned and watching you guys is even funner. I would love to see what you guys do but the problem is I watched pretty much every movie. I watch pretty much half the movies you guys watched in theaters as a kid. So for me, nostalgia City. I hope you and your bro have a good week man.
Their already is Leathal Weapon parody maid back in the 90s from National Lampoon's called Loaded Weapon staring Emilio Estevez, and Samuel L. Jackson. I just rewatched it last week I have it on a double feature DVD with another NL comedy Senor Trip staring a young Jeremy Renner ( Hawkeye ).

Scream was actually gonna be called Scary Movie! The director of scream, wes craven, didnt like this movie because he figured scream was already a horror "parody" that's why they were self aware...

I watched all the scary movies over and over when I was a child, and rewatching them now that I'm older (especially having seen all of scream + other horror movies referenced in the rest) has been so much fun 😭 I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Yeah, I will never get tired of Scary Movie, still a classic to this day. Part 1 & 2 were masterpieces, part 3 had it's moments, part 4 they were trying to hard, and part 5 was complete trash. So I definitely prefer part 1and 2.

Got to love the edgy humor that comedies from this era bring. Such a shame that this kind of comedy is discouraged these days.
Lol I remember renting this when it came out. I was like 8 years old then so definitely too young but my cousin picked it out and I don't think anyone knew it would be like this. We loved it though. 😂 Still my favorite parody movie. The 2nd and 3rd ones are pretty good too.

I totally recommend you do "I know what you did last summer" - a lot of this movie will make more sense. And then definitely do the Scary movie sequels but check out what movies they parody first, it's much more enjoyable when you know what they are taking the piss out of 🤣
Originally, the wassaaaaap started with an old Budweiser super bowl commercial.
I remember seeing this in the theater and all we knew is that it was a spoof of Scream and other scary movies, so we went to see it. We had no idea how explicit it would be. I kept on getting this nervous reaction where I would kick the seat in front of me. Unfortunately, there was an elderly lady seated in font of me and she peeked around the chair and gave me a look every time I did it. She probably thought i was a trouble maker. I think i was maybe 20 at the time. I felt so bad I sat with my legs crossed to make sure I didn't do it anymore. I love spoofs and this was perfect and so hysterical! Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer are two of my favorites, so I love seeing this version of them! I love Dewy! How dare they!
