Great reaction! I know you guys just watched "Scream" but if you watched "I know what you did last Summer" too then y'all would've been laughing even more 🤣🤣🤣🤣! Scary Movie 2 next please! Love your videos!!
So if you do watch the next Scary Movie, you should check out beforehand these movies, because of the references: The Haunting (Liam Neison is in it) Mission Impossible 2 (cruise) Hannibal (Anthony Hopkins & Julianne Moore) Hollow Man (Kevin bacon) Charlie's Angels (first one with Drew Cameron and Lucy) What Lies Beneath (Harrison ford and Michelle pheifer) I'm sure someone can mention anything I'm missing that's a big reference and part of the movie.
“Scream” (1996) and “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (1997) were the most referenced to in this Scary Movie. This two were the most iconic slasher movies during the late 90’s. Due to the success of these slasher movies, more were made in the following years like “Urban Legend” (1998), “Cherry Falls” (1999), “Lovers Lane” (2000), “Valentine” (2001), “Joy Ride” (2001) and many more.
Scream was actually gonna be called Scary Movie! The director of scream, wes craven, didnt like this movie because he figured scream was already a horror "parody" that's why they were self aware...
The ending is definitely a homage to the ending of the Usual Suspects. I am very impressed that you guys got that reference...it had to be explained to me but then again, I haven't really watched that film all the way thru.
I totally recommend you do "I know what you did last summer" - a lot of this movie will make more sense. And then definitely do the Scary movie sequels but check out what movies they parody first, it's much more enjoyable when you know what they are taking the piss out of 🤣
The guy showing up in the window is James Van Der Beek, who starred in Dawsons Creek. The music playing while Cindy and Bobby are making it out is from that show, in which people also climb into Dawsons window. The cameo even won a MTV Movie Award.
It's cool that you guys saw scream before this, so you can get most of the references, but it looks like some of them you didn't get because you didn't see I Know What You Did Last Summer, which is the other movie they're spoofing.
- So the character Buffy was a reference to Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy Summers from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" because she played in "I know what you did last summer" as Helen who did the pagent. She was also a part reference to Tatum from "Scream" who has a brother that is part of the police force. Also, on here in the locker room with the killer the way she was asking if he wanted to play psycho character and wants her to play helpless victum in "Scream" just before she was killed. Aswell with the girl who was killed in Cindy's garage about being a day player, lol. - The Character Ray on here was playing 3 characters Ray from "IKWYDLS", Stu from Scream and Phil Steven's from Scream 2. - Bobby character has a little bit of a reference to Ray from "IKWYDLS" aswell mostly Billy from "Scream". - Gail Hailstorm and Doofy lol Gail Weathers and Dewey. - In Scary Movie Cindy's last name is Campbell which is Neve (Sidney Prescott) last name. Cindy was playing two characters Sidney in "Scream" and Julie in "IKWYDLS". - The character Shorty Meeks was a small reference for Randy Meeks in "Scream" and a character that plays by Jack Black in "I still know what you did last summer". Him telling the rules at the end was from "Scream 3" where he makes a video on making rules. His sister Brenda Meeks was a reference for Brenda also in "ISKWYDLS" played by Brandy and the theater from "Scream 2". Originally Scream was going to be the title of "Scary Movie" but Kevin Williamson changed it so it ended up being used for the parody movies. This Scary Movie was mostly about Scream, Scream 2, and I know what you did last summer. Then had little references from Halloween, Friday the 13th, American Pie, the Blair witch project, Urban Legend, the sixth sense, The usual suspects, the Matrix, a very brief Dawson's Creek.
This and Scary Movie 2 is the best one in the franchise. Yall definitely need to want the rest of the Scream movies and I Know What You Did Last Summer 1 and 2.
This was the best reaction video I have seen of scary movie on UA-cam, thanks guys, its always cool watching this movie with people who have never seen it before. its full of so many great laughs. Got to love the edgy humor that comedies from this era bring. Such a shame that this kind of comedy is discouraged these days.
Keenan Ivory Wayans’ is most famous for his parodies. The Scary Movie franchise has ddefinitely earned its popularity, but his best work, imo, will always be “I’m Gonna Git You Sucka!”, his brilliantly hilarious parody of blaxploitation hero movies! You guys GOTTA react to that one sometime soon!
Its funny how you guys said that you wanted more Doofy and Shorty, and they were damn near, best friends in the entire movie lol. They talked to each other on the phone, saying "WAZZZZZUP😜," they smoked together, and rap together lmao. I never really looked at it, like that until yall said it 😂😂. Yeah, I will never get tired of Scary Movie, still a classic to this day. Part 1 & 2 were masterpieces, part 3 had it's moments, part 4 they were trying to hard, and part 5 was complete trash. So I definitely prefer part 1and 2.
Maybe my favorite scary movie reaction, just unrestrained laughter, no "am i gonna get demonetized for that joke" looks to camera... top quality, you guys rock.

Grabbing the banana actually makes sense if you want a potassium boost so you don't cramp up when running away from the killer.
That lethal weapon idea sounds so funny and good honestly I could just see Shorty being like I’m too high for this shit 😂😂
That Wazzup scene is a parody of an old Budweiser commercial. I find it strange that most people think it originated from this movie when it didn’t
The sequel is really funny too and has Tim Curry the GOAT.
Also an actor who was hand down hilarious
Great reaction! I know you guys just watched "Scream" but if you watched "I know what you did last Summer" too then y'all would've been laughing even more 🤣🤣🤣🤣! Scary Movie 2 next please! Love your videos!!
These guys are hilarious, but I think all the references in this movie, just flew over their heads. 🤣
Originally, the wassaaaaap started with an old Budweiser super bowl commercial.
That actors delivery on “WHERE’S THE FOOT?!” Gets me every fucking time lmao
3:37 how did I not realize that was suppose to be Prince
The usual suspects scene just killed me! 😂
So if you do watch the next Scary Movie, you should check out beforehand these movies, because of the references:
The Haunting (Liam Neison is in it)
Mission Impossible 2 (cruise)
Hannibal (Anthony Hopkins & Julianne Moore)
Hollow Man (Kevin bacon)
Charlie's Angels (first one with Drew Cameron and Lucy)
What Lies Beneath (Harrison ford and Michelle pheifer)
I'm sure someone can mention anything I'm missing that's a big reference and part of the movie.
You guys had my face and stomach hurting. Lol! 🤣
Ghostface with Shorty and the boys in that movie is like being in a Call Of Duty Warzone Lobby on Halloween. Sorry for that joke if it’s not funny.
Scary movie: you wouldn’t make fun of a guy in a wheelchair
Me:*looks at scary movie 2
Shorty’s one of the best characters ever made 😂
this was literally peak comedy at it's time y'all just had to be there ‼️💯🔥
It's cool that you guys saw scream before this, so you can get most of the references, but it looks like some of them you didn't get because you didn't see I Know What You Did Last Summer, which is the other movie they're spoofing.
9:31» _WHERE'S THE FOOT?!?!_ 😱😱
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
The Usual suspects ending is great
That “Wazzzzuppp” scene is a parody of a really popular commercial in the early 2000’s, I think it was a Budweiser commercial I could be mistaken though.
