Not rude at all! They totally market it toward the older crowd but in most cases what that means is it's more moisturizing and more smoothing - which can look great on anybody! I'm glad it works for you! Happy new year!
I love this foundation. Light coverage. I do lightly set it with powder especially around the t-zone. I like the simply ageless cream foundation when I want slightly more coverage. I don’t use the primer. I’m 60.
That's interesting! This is my holy grail foundation ( I was semi laid off the first 6 months of COVID so I went foundation hunting - I'm a drugstore gal lol). Anyway, I find this formula to be at least medium coverage. Could be the primer I use, but I get great coverage. I feel like my pores and acne scars are no match for ANY product,, but this comes close. I love it!! I'm a brush user, never powder and I'm 53! Great stuff!

I'm 69 almost and I work cover girl for years when I was younger and even in my forties and I just loved it and my 50s.... And I got away from it for some reason I don't know if they changed the formula of it or if my skin changed it was probably my skin I'm going to go back and try it....
Excellent! (Yep I know it's two in the song... but on my clock it was 3... and it just made me think of the song). I was just wondering if they were still kicking it! All of my old favorites are doing reunion tours now it seems!
This one applies really nice with the hands. Which is nice for when I am in a rush. I have mostly dry skin as well and omg this is a wonderful option. Side note. I’m 32 and I love using it. Age is just a number.
Thank you for posting this video. I'm currently 40 and looking for options for better foundation and primer than what I've been using. The brands I've been using are great and have done me very well over the years. But I think it's time for me to look beyond what I've used. I saw a few other video reviews for this product. But your video is by far the best and most accurate. I feel like I really learned from this video and gained something from it. Also, the fact that you applied primer before the foundation stands out to me. In other videos, the users didn't use primer at all then had complaints. I also appreciated that you used the corresponding primer. Although perhaps the primer and foundation, since they're both hydrating, was too much moisture, and that's why the makeup felt tacky. Either way, thank you for this video. It definitely opened my eyes.
I am 38 and I am embarrassed to say that I am not dealing with aging well... it has been pretty hard for me to see the signs of aging appear on my face/body. I'm also struggling with finding a new makeup routine/products that help me feel more confident. I bought this foundation based on your review... I REALLY enjoyed your video! your review was so informative!!
Same here! I know you commented 2 years ago but I'm 38 and I feel the same way. Skincare in the morning and before bed is a must. I love Wet n Wild tinted hydrator and I'm so happy I tried it. I don't use concealer anymore I just use a small amount of this hydrator under my eyes after I apply it on my face. Afterwards I use a small amount of setting powder in my t-zone and then I apply a generous amount of setting spray. All products I use are from Walmart. I notice a huge difference in my skin now and most likely I'll never use regular foundation again.
This is almost the only foundation I can wear that doesn't settle in the pores I don't wear all the time I also been using Laura geller Quench and tint
I was a metal head too! Do you remember the Headbangers Ball? Somewhere exists VHS copies of a whole bunch of episodes. Man, I wish I had them. I still have some pretty cool shorts from back in the day. I found an Anthrax one not too long ago. Ok, lol. Down to business. Fabulous review, as always. There are just so many foundations I want. This isn’t on my radar at the moment. Have you tried the No7 Foundation Drops? I’m thinking about picking one up, but am unsure what the lightest shade is that isn’t too pink. Thanks, beautiful🍃🌸.
LOL I totally still have VHS tapes of Headbanger's Ball! One foot in the gutter, one fist in the gold!! I really like the No 7 drops. They have worked every which way I've tried them - mixed with primer, mixed with moisturizer, I even read some people saying they were mixing with sunscreen and it worked great.
Carrie Mroczkowski Man! You are speaking my language! Headbangers ball was my favorite!!! Well one of them. Anthrax...seriously dig them. Metallica was my number one , top , most loved band. Not to put down some of my other favs... Thanks for that trip down Metal Lane! Still love them!!! Rock on, my friend ✌🏼💛🤘🏼
I see 70+ year old Mae modeling in the CG ads and have been curious about the new formula. A lot of makeup is created using proven-safe ingredients and formulas that were originally tested on animals years ago, even though they are not presently retested on them. I love your comparison swatches! This 60ish lady thanks you! So helpful!🤗
My guess is that very little in this world was NEVER tested on animals. Most of the definitions of "cruelty free" today seem to be based on whether the current ingredients and finished products themselves were tested on animals, and that seems to be a reasonable approach to me. If we ruled out anything that was ever historically tested on animals, we'd have nothing cruelty free.
I'd love to see you try the new Maybeline Urban Dream. It's supposed to be a dupe for the It Cosmetics CC+ foundation. I've ordered it, but I don't have the It Cosmetics to compare it to.
Love how you were so blase about that pan falling out of the palette. Most younger influencers would be carrying on like a toddler! You just be chill 😎
The other things that i am so committed to is Cerave skin renewing night cream. It is in their purple group. Check their website. Its is the most hydrating cream i have ever used. My skin is still moist in the morning. Hard to find at the drugstore but good ole amazon!
hi, shelly! i'll be looking for this one to try. my skin has a lot more mileage on it so i'll let you know how it goes! here's hoping cvs has the new one in stock! or target!! have a wonderful weekend! ~k
Yay, this line is one of my favorites of the drugstore brands! You should check out the other foundation in the Simply Ageless line... it comes in a packaging like a hockey puck. It is super full coverage, and I always get skin compliments when I wear it. Down side is, not super long lasting, but it is small enough to fit in a purse for touch ups.
Ali L Ewwwwww! Maybe I’ll try that one!!! You nailed most of the things I look for in a foundation. I rarely wear foundation for more than a few hours. Thank you
It looks really beautiful on you. I just can’t do the ones that don’t dry down. I have way more texture problems and have to stay matte. I really enjoy your reviews!! Thank you.🙏
I love you videos I especially love Foundation Fridays you always do such a great job and you always seem to make me laugh I appreciate that some days I need that way more than others so keep up the good work.
4 years later.....lol I am 58 and JUST started wearing this foundation about 2 months ago. I felt it was heavy at first. I wasn't crazy about it. It did grow in me. I switched to a sponge application and I like it a bunch now. Yes, it is very moisturizing. I will continue purchasing this foundation. I also use a powder bronzer and cream blush. I would be interested to see how you would like it now.
I've actually repurchased it once! I have so many foundations in rotation that I don't wear it super-often but for anything to get repurchased in my world it has to be pretty good :) I have pretty good luck with CoverGirl foundations overall, and the Olay line has always been good to me.
It looks nice on your skin has a glowing look I use covergirl olay ageless radiance it's nice foundation but now I'm definitely buying this one my next coming payday
Thanks, Jennifer! Last year I was bringing my old (gray) Jeep in for a repair, and I pulled into the parking lot of the dealer and saw the hypergreen Renegade... and I was like, nooooo don't look don't look don't look.... and then I sat in the service department for 3 hours and they still couldn't figure out what was wrong with my Jeep, all the while googling the Renegade reviews. They called me up to check out and I was like, "So...... can someone show me that green beast out there?" I went home with the Renegade, and they gave me a great trade-in deal since their service department couldn't find anything wrong with it (it had a mysterious electrical problem that came and went for several years). I am a planner but I am also impulsive 😂I wouldn't have done it at full price, but I got the $33k Renegade for $19k after my trade (which had 95k miles on it) and zero percent interest financing with zero down. I couldn't pass that up :) January is a sweet time to buy last year's model cars off the lot!
For the first time ever I actually guessed right (what grade you would give this one)! It does seem to retain some luminosity after powdering and looks very pretty (particularly good across your forehead and between your brows). Would you please try this out with other primers and let us know in a Foundation Follow Up? It has to be one of the nicest more affordable options you've had in a while.
What a great review, so thoughtful and thorough! Thanks for taking the time to review this one. I have a lot of the same skin concerns as you, particularly dryness and a little bit of "texture" here and there. I'm 45 and also in that sort of "in between" age, I don't have truly "mature" skin but have been struggling to find a foundation that I really love now that I'm no longer 30-something. This was a really helpful review and I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos!
I have more deeper fine lines then you. Unfortunately I was a smoker for years and it aged me quicker then I should have being I'm 46. So, I think I'm going to pick this up today and give it a shot. Thank you for the great review!
I love watching your foundation reviews! Do you have any recommendations for a long wearing foundation that will last through a hot and humid climate and has medium coverage? Thank you!
Hi Kim! For heat and humidity I always go for Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place. It has lasted me through some crazy all-day sweating outdoors, it has survived a half mile run in a torrential downpour... you name it. That stuff stays put on me!
Geek Out of Water Since it is more of a matte foundation, how could I get that glowy look? What do you find is the best way to apply it? Thanks so much!
My 20 year old daughter always wears the cc with olay and of course on her young gorgeous skin it looks amazing, on me not so much it's just not enough full coverage for me but it looks great on young or flawless skin like yours, and I know you say you have some problems with your skin but your's is perfect compared to mine.
Great video, thank you, you look fabulous, just a little trick “ if you want a fuller cover, dab on, leave for a minute or 2 …….then blend it “ & you should get a fuller cover with same amount of product 😊 just a little MUA tip, oooh works with concealer too 🙌🙌🙌
@@goow The Healthy Elixir is too warm even though it says it is my usual shade and the texture of it is weird. A very tiny extremely small amount goes a long way--but doesn't provide full coverage, yet doesn't build well
Oh good! I will definitely look at this one. The bone dry AC is really doing a number on my poor skin. We are already up in triple digits with the heat index here! No AC is really not an option so I'm looking for something I can pair with my moisturizers. ❤
Hey Carrie! I haven't done a full review but I used them in a GRWM and I can report that I love them! So far I've tried them mixed with primer, mixed with moisturizer, and mixed with facial oil and they're beautiful any which way (and a few people commented that they work great mixed into sunscreen lotion as well). They wear well and degrade gracefully, and are very nice looking on the skin and very comfortable to wear!
Yay for monstrosity of beautifulness! You made my day with that one. 🥰. Thanks for the review! I’m into lightweight foundation even though I’m older and dry. I’m so casual that full coverage looks a bit much for me unless I’m out in the evening. Iron Maiden, too! Rock on Shelly! This was fun! I’m writing this as I’m watching. Curious as to what makeup that you’re taking with you. Do you have plans to do any makeup shopping in Ireland? Anyway, you’re slammed for time so no worries if you don’t list what you’re taking with you. See you in the next video! 😘
Ahhh the metal days.... 💜I'm going to try to pack "slightly" lightly with makeup so that I have room to buy more over there! I didn't buy much last year because I was overwhelmed with choices. Most of the brands are the same as what I can get in the US but I just want to have the fun of buying and trying new makeup over there. So I do plan to do a bunch of makeup shopping!
How did you know the 1st question I was going to ask? I'm still baffled, since Olay is not cruelty free. I give up. Well, I probably wouldn't buy it since it contains parabens. Oh great. They targeted it for old ladies like me. I just turned 60 last month. 👵 I love your eye look. It makes your eyes pop! The foundation does look really good on your skin. It really gives you a peaches and cream look! Shelly, you are young! You could so pass for someone in their early 30s. I'd kill for your skin❣😘
I wondered that too, if Olay is still NOT cruelty free, how can it still be in this foundation? I commented here about my experience with the cream version of this line....Ugh. :(
I don't understand it either, but if it's good enough for Phyrra to say they're cruelty free, it's good enough for me! She digs deep into it and understands the intricacies far better than I ever will!
I'm so glad you did this video, Shelly. I have been thinking of trying Cover Girl foundation and unsure which to go with.I used to wear it when I was young. It's the first brand I ever wore as far as foundation goes and I can still remember the smell of it but I traded it in for Corn Silk when that came out and never looked back. I didn't like this one as soon as you put it on. I could see it caking up around your chin and getting into crevices. It's also not full coverage, which I know you don't really mind but I do. I'm not really in the market for a new brand of foundation but I'll try something if it wow's you or something but for now, I'll stick to my tried and trues.
@@goow Not long after I said that, I got an email that the Juvia's Place foundation was avail again in my shade. I had to jump on that. lol I also just got an ABH stick in a Sephora box but it's in Banana. I have no idea how I'm supposed to use it. I'm kind of confused. People are loving this banana everything and I just don't get it. Is it for our skin tone?
It’s not as dark as I thought it’d be! (The swatches) I love the vitalist one but it’s way too dark for me, definitely want to try this one now! I do love the olay brand
I am 70. Except for a few wrinkles, my skin has not changed a lot in the last decade. I just wash my face, my pores are not clogged that way. Tried expensive foundations, but always returned to Cover Girl. Have been using the Ageless since it's been on the market. No concealer, no moisturizers, no primer, just the foundation. I only use one coat, not too much. I use a damp sponge or a brush, fingers too. It is not sticky, dries fast, and with full coverage and lasts all day. I liike the pump, you don't get bacteria in it. Less is more. It does not feel like I'm wearing any. Just add a little blush. I started wearing foundation at 14, (yep, the sixties with the big eyeliner...lol) always go back to Cover Girl. I give it a B (never give anything an A or a 5 stars). A little BB cream from Cover Girl is great for pores).
Geek Out of Water i remember that song. I was in law school so not a whippersnapper like you younguns. we are even closer to midnight now on the doomsday clock.
I was interested in this foundation. Have you tried the new NYX bare with me? I was surprised that the reviews I saw are calling it super dewy (which makes me interested!) Have you tried it? The shade on this one- comparing to the Loreal True Match- what would you compare it to? (I use.5N and .5w mixed) :)
Last fall I tried the CoverGirl + Olay compact foundation, the same makeup-olay moisturizer combo but in cream form. Ugh! It was one of the worst foundations I've ever used. I referred to it as Simply Aging as it fell into every line, wrinkle and pore, it started breaking down and wearing off only 2 hours in and the shade was wayyyy too light for me. I even contacted CoverGirl and told them what shade I wore in other popular brands and they recommended a shade that made me look embalmed. I have normal/dry skin and I'm in the targeted age group so not sure why this looked so bad on my skin. Hopefully they reformulated it too along with the one you are reviewing. I thought the shade might have been a bit light on your skin until you did the daylight check-in. Maybe it oxidized just a bit? :)
Yeah I think it did because even in the thumbnail photo it looks a little bit light on me, but later it was good. Heh I have wondered that with several products along the way, where I'm certain they're targeting me but it makes me look older than I am! Maybe I wanted that when I was 19 going on 30 but not now! I celebrate when I get carded for liquor, even though the sign says they have to card up to 35. Hey, that's 9 years! 😂
As a 51 yr old i might look into it? I just don’t like heavy foundations... I have dry skin, more wrinkles than you so maybe on me it might be a B+ or more? Do you think the primer worked better with it?
VERY LATE to the party... Love hearing about this. They just came out with some eye sticks similar to the beloved Laura Mercier's Caviar stix that I want to look in to as well as there is supposedly no fall out and they dry fast with no eye irritation. Would LOVE your thoughts on the [Holika Holika] Hard Cover Glow Cushion SPF50+ I got the Honey and I'm NC 30 during winter it was waaay too light and probably a lot due to the SPF?? I loved it overall, but it was too light does come one shade darker??? The lightest would be to light for you I fear so if you decide to try it go up one? I'm more dry than you, but after traveling to Hong Kong for a day I picked it up and loved the coverage and for dry skin!! You'd love it in Winter if you could color match. You might try 21 (I think) but it is, "Petal" and I think it's on Amazon?? If it's light and you like it I'll send you mine I used once and you then have your pad it comes yours with which is actually a great tool for application light slapping motions and applies so very nicely and layers twice very well!!! You must try it! I looked like a ghost unfortunately :( Thank you so much for the CG foundation review........and sorry I wrote too long here...
Bonus points for the Maiden reference! LOL. (One slight metal head to another). This one looked rather nice: not too matte, good undertone, graceful weardown, etc... I wonder if we'll get it here since I'm pretty sure we didn't get the older version (I've don't recall ever seeing it locally).
For years I was cruelty free and got away from it in harder years. I am finally getting back to wanting to explore this and so appreciate how you touch on this in your videos! Amazing job, as normal girl!! 👏🏻
Thanks, Carrie! I'm not completely cruelty free (obviously) but I am vegetarian and will likely end up cruelty free eventually for the same reasons. I'm conscious of it and lend more of my spending power toward cruelty free companies than not.
Unfortunately I can’t wear any Cover Girl liquid products. They burn my skin. No idea why. I would love for you to try Lancôme Tient Idole Ultra Wear. Lady at Ulta recommended it to me as a light weight, good coverage foundation. I’ve worn it twice. I’d love to know your opinion of it.
Rebecca C. Oooh great tip! Thanks ! Im skeptic although to buy , cuz I’m in Canada and it’s like $25 here + tax😣. Great tip about the sunglasses , I’ll have to try it 👍🏻I can always return it if I don’t like it
Sweet!!! I saw Maiden with Anthrax... I think I was 16?? It was right after I got my drivers license and my parents wouldn't let me drive to the city for it 😂so they drove (and haven't let me forget it!)
@@goow Anthrax!! Holy sh*t now there's a band I haven't listened to in years. They're a local band. I remember seeing them at L'Amour "The Rock Capitol of Brooklyn" way back in the day.
I bought nude beige today for summer wear on my normally neutral ivory skin, with the help of the store cosmetics lady. It's the wrong shade. : ( And I was taken aback by the fragrance in it. Why do Covergirl think our face needs to be perfumed!?! It's only an added possible allergen! Something to irritate sensitive skin. I would have bought another L'Oreal shade, but the CG is $3 cheaper, and we all know, we never end up choosing the correct shade on the first try! In Canada, the L'Oreal True Match is $21. !!! : O
That cover girl lotion that you put on before that I heard a lady say on another podcast that after it dried down it kind of got drying to her skin so she didn't use it anymore just one opinion but that might be a problem
I’m conflicted I have sensitive skin and I can’t use Olay body washes because it irritates my skin. But I want to try it because Taylor Wynn aka thatayla said she likes it and it’s a great dupe for the CYO life proof foundation she loved, how do you think they compare?
The CYO is a little bit more dewy on me and a much better shade match (which breaks my heart since it's discontinued!) The CYO is more hydrating on me as well. I didn't find them to be dupes (this one I graded a B- and the CYO was an A- when I reviewed it and I'd probably say an A now that I've used it for ages).
I’m gonna suck up my courage and buy this one. I have such textured skin, I need the help with blurring and filling! I’m all in. On an unrelated note: which Laura Gellar powder foundation do you use to set your makeup with on occasion? I want to get the right one!!! Damned if I can remember what you’ve shown. Thank you for your time...enjoy your weekend ✌🏼💙🤘🏼
It's the Laura Geller Balance & Brighten! I love it still :) I'll go for it instead of the Charlotte Tilbury when a foundation looks a little flat or the undertone is a little off for me. It brings some life back.
I'm with you Ms. Shelly! I too believe the JS concealer is dehydrating. 😫 Tho, I do appreciate the fair shade range. Also, I thoroughly enjoyed your makeup look. Super pretty! Ps. I had a feeling you were a tad on the dark side🤘🏻🤘🏻 as am I 😉
Also... I think you shld try out the Pür Cosmetics translucent powder. It can't look cakey or dry. I wear it under my eyes to set. And I can never wear powder there! Super pretty finish.
Very nice! Slayer, and Morbid Angel will always hold a special pl. In my playlists lol. . I cant get much into music nowadays. Manson & Rob Zombie are goin on tour again this summer. Their 1st tour was pretty awesome. Do you go to concerts??
Headbanger’s Ball ❤️❤️. There was a guy that worked in a connivence store in town. He looked EXACTLY like Riki Rachtman. I mentioned it once and got an earful about how MTV had stolen his idea for their whole format. Never mentioned MTV to him again. I’m telling you that man was his doppelgänger.
When we saw it in daylight it didn’t look that bad and when not zoomed in in the beauty lights it looks the same! I’m sure if it’s on our own faces it would feel different! I had tried the CG healthy elixir and throughout the day my eyes would not stop watering idk if it’s the SPF that causes this for me so I try to not buy anything with it added in.
I've had that same issue with some sunscreens, Kayla! I'm not sure why because I do wear regular sunscreen every day, but it makes me wonder if there are ingredients in makeup sunscreen to make it play nice with the makeup that my eyes don't like.
I couldn't get the jsc concealer to work for me. It stayed too tacky to blend it out. It always ended up patchy when I would go to blend it. Too finicky for me. I also think the "tightening" aspect of it may have made my undereyes look a little weird. Maybe that's what's happening with your crowes feet? Idk
Yeah I filmed a review of the concealer that day and it's probably not a spoiler after seeing it in the foundation video to say, it didn't work out for me!
Have you tried this foundation without any primer or pore filling products? It looks horrible with any primer used with it. I also apply with damp beauty blender gives a much better finish and then i set it with a very light dusting of cover fx translucent powder. If not I think you should try because I started using this a month ago in the shade buff beige and it seriously looks like my skin but better. My husband was so shocked when he saw it the first time and so did everyone I work with.
Hi Ashley! I haven't tried it without primer (only because I generally don't wear foundation without primer. The textured side of my face tends to look awful without a base down). Now that I'm at home and not seeing people during the day, I will give it a try! I hope you're staying well out there, Ashley!
@@goow I have texture too and dry patches that foundation loves to cling to aswell. But I exfoliate really good then put cetaphil moisturizing cream on next. Once that dries I use a damp beauty blender to apply the foundation and then set it with translucent powder but not alot. This foundation build up really well too.
Before I moved into high end skin care, one of my go-to favorites in the early days of my channel was the Olay Regenerist line. I think it is great stuff!
They lost me at fragrance. I think it looks good on camera. I am really liking the Tarte Babassu foundcealer you reviewed earlier. It feels like nothing on my face and I got an exact shade match. My hair stylist thought I was just having a really great skin day.
This is actually one of my favorite drugstore foundations.
Do you use the primer as well? I'm not find of the foundation, it seems but the primer looks like something I'd use.
You do The Best foundation reviews of anyone..period!

They have worked every which way I've tried them - mixed with primer, mixed with moisturizer, I even read some people saying they were mixing with sunscreen and it worked great.
Carrie Mroczkowski
Man!
Yes🤘 Headbangers Ball was AWESOME! My son also loves metal and is sooooo jealous that we had that and he doesn't 😀
Geek Out of Water Haha, oh the good ole days! I think I’m going to get the drops. What shade did you get?
Leigh says What Hell’s Yea! ✨🤟🏻✨ Metallica will forever be one of my favorites:)
I've ordered it, but I don't have the It Cosmetics to compare it to.
christine cornelius I want to try that too! I can’t wait til it’s in stores here!
@@sebmak6827 It's on Amazon and I believe Ulta's website now.
christine cornelius thank you! Hope it’ll be in stores soon too
I just ordered it from Ulta!
I would love to see a review on it as well!
Interesting, I have been making candles And my hands have never looked better when I rub the oils on my hands.
Love how you were so blase about that pan falling out of the palette. Most younger influencers would be carrying on like a toddler! You just be chill 😎
😂Yeah I try to go with happy and chill as my MO whenever possible!! :-D
I use this on after retin A nights. It fights the peelung very well , stays moist all day. 67 yr old skin!
That is great to know!!!
Definitely let me know, Karen! Happy Friday!!
Shelley thanks for reviewing this one. You are awesome!❤
I love this foundation. It feels and looks amazing. I only use on layer and lasts all day. X
I am definitely going to review that when I get back from traveling! I think I already bought it lol - I will have to check my bin!
Geek Out of Water yay!! I can’t wait to hear what you think!
Ali L
Ewwwwww!
Thank you.🙏
Wooot foundation Friday!! Happy Friday Shelly and kitties!!
Thanks, Stacey! Happy weekend!!
Thank you so much for these reviews. I love how thorough you are. I'm so glad I found your channel 😊
I love you videos I especially love Foundation Fridays you always do such a great job and you always seem to make me laugh I appreciate that some days I need that way more than others so keep up the good work.
This is my place to escape and be happy and play with makeup, so I hope that's what it is for everyone here, too!
4 years later.....lol
I am 58 and JUST started wearing this foundation about 2 months ago.
You read my mind. I was researching these earlier today. Thanks for the review!!!!
Oooh psychic! :-D
It looks nice on your skin has a glowing look I use covergirl olay ageless radiance it's nice foundation but now I'm definitely buying this one my next coming payday
Metalhead until the day I die! 🤘 And I just love the colour of your car! Every time you show it I'm always a little green with envy. 😁
Same here, rock on baby🤘
Yep I'm going to be playing with this one a bit!
Thanks, Elizabeth! That's a huge part of why I decided to start a channel. There aren't enough of us in-betweeners on UA-cam!
“It looks like I have got makeup on my skin...which, I do” 😆 love the green eye look! Makes your eyes pop 😍
I have heard such good things about this one, but yours is the first review I have seen.
I have one and I fall in love with the foundation
Thank you for all your reviews Shelley, I watch them and it really helps me make my purchase.
Thanks, Yvette! Glad to help! :)
ThaTaylaa would be proud! Thanks for repping the (way) over- 40-dry-skin crowd!
Also your breaking into song was everything
💜 thanks, Lisa!!
I've been trying to decide if I wanted to try this and the concealer that goes with it for my dry skin!! I think I'll give it a try!!❤
It's definitely worth a shot!
I always been curious about this line ty for the review beautiful
Thanks, Della!
Nice! I'm quite wrinkly around my eyes because of my combo crappy vision/extreme light sensitivity. Thanks for the details!
I like how you use different applicators! Thank you for the great content!
LOVE the eye-look. And the Cheek-leaders palette is sooo beautifull! Great look for your eyecolour! Makes your eyes so vibrant!
Thanks, Ophelia!
I have more deeper fine lines then you. Unfortunately I was a smoker for years and it aged me quicker then I should have being I'm 46. So, I think I'm going to pick this up today and give it a shot. Thank you for the great review!
Looking good, girl! Thx!♥️.
I'll have to try the CC! Thanks, April!
Great video, thank you, you look fabulous, just a little trick “ if you want a fuller cover, dab on, leave for a minute or 2 …….then blend it “ & you should get a fuller cover with same amount of product 😊 just a little MUA tip, oooh works with concealer too 🙌🙌🙌
Oooh thank you - I'll try that!!
I hear you on the new CoverGirl models. I didn't look that good in my twenties!
Right??!?!!
Thanks for reviewing this. I use the Healthy Elixir and wondered about this; you've convinced me to try this.
I like this far better than the Healthy Elixir. It's a bit lighter and just looked nicer on me than the Elixir did.
@@goow The Healthy Elixir is too warm even though it says it is my usual shade and the texture of it is weird. A very tiny extremely small amount goes a long way--but doesn't provide full coverage, yet doesn't build well
Really great and thorough review! Thank you!!!
12 THOUSAND subscribers! Congratulations! Thank you for the review. I might have to try this one out. Did the scent linger at all?
Thanks, Lori!! I didn't notice the scent lingering, but I also don't have a super sensitive nose.
Oh good! I will definitely look at this one. The bone dry AC is really doing a number on my poor skin. We are already up in triple digits with the heat index here! No AC is really not an option so I'm looking for something I can pair with my moisturizers. ❤
Could you please review No 7 Match Made Custom Foundation Drops, sounds promising and I need you to be the judge!!!
I love your eye look.
@@helpfulnatural it's mind boggling, and frustrating as well!
@@goow Shelly, I know you do tons of research. Still, I'm baffled. Oh well. I'm not buying it anyway.
You look so beautiful!! I love the whole look you created!! Thank you so much Shelly!!
Thanks, Ashli!
Love your eye look in this video Shelly :) I love your reviews and your personality is so much fun!
Yep you'll definitely know when I find a wow! :-D
Yeah the Vitalist shades seem to run quite dark! 710 isn't the lightest but it's near the pale end and I'd say it's not fair - more like light.
Iron Maiden?!?! Shelley dear, I love you😁😘😍🎶🤘
Those were the days!!!
Geek Out of Water i remember that song. I was in law school so not a whippersnapper like you younguns. we are even closer to midnight now on the doomsday clock.
Love your channel -another great review👍
Thanks, DiMa!
Awww...I was a metalhead as a child too!!! :D
Thank you for the video and I’m going to tried this makeup.
Let me know how you like it, Irasema!
I was interested in this foundation. Have you tried the new NYX bare with me? I was surprised that the reviews I saw are calling it super dewy (which makes me interested!) Have you tried it?
The shade on this one- comparing to the Loreal True Match- what would you compare it to? (I use.5N and .5w mixed)
:)
This one is about the same lightness, but instead of leaning slightly warm like your mix I think it leans slightly peachy-cool.
And... spoiler alert, the Nyx Bare With Me is coming! I've pre-filmed it for while I'm traveling in June/July. It's scheduled for Friday June 14 :)
@@goow Thank you so much! Peach is a color I have to avoid Haha! So helpful!!
This is a very pretty look for you. Look fresh and young.
@@goow Where I live, by law everyone must get carded when buying liquor. Especially in grocery stores, etc. :-/
As a 51 yr old i might look into it? I just don’t like heavy foundations... I have dry skin, more wrinkles than you so maybe on me it might be a B+ or more? Do you think the primer worked better with it?
Hi Janie! I like the primer but I think this would work with any primer you like.
I looked like a ghost unfortunately :(
Thank you so much for the CG foundation review........and sorry I wrote too long here...
Oooh I will have to find those! I just grabbed all of their new Stila glitter shadow dupes and they're awesome!
Yep I'm going to be playing with this one a bit more!
Do you think there's much of a difference between the CG Advanced Radiance and Simply Ageless?
Mostly in the finish - Simply Ageless leans a little bit more matte on me than the Advanced Radiance. I prefer how Advanced Radiance wears a bit more.
Appreciate you! Thanks for your time and information.
Thanks, Gretchen!
Thanks for another thorough review!
I think I might have that in my bin to review when I get back home!
Can u do a review for the new L’Oréal Shake & Glow Dew mist? I’m 40 and am SO curious about how this will work
I love it! I'm 42. If you use too much, it will melt off your makeup. I also wear old sunglasses while spraying, so it won't mess with my concealer.
Rebecca C. Oooh great tip! Thanks ! Im skeptic although to buy , cuz I’m in Canada and it’s like $25 here + tax😣.
Great tip about the sunglasses , I’ll have to try it 👍🏻I can always return it if I don’t like it
Oooh I haven't seen that yet! I'll have to look!
Okay, this comment is not about the makeup, but where did you get the Piccachu plushie? It’s so cute!
My mom got him for me for Christmas! She thinks it was this one - amzn.to/2HMA4F3 :-D
Love your videos. And Iron Maiden was my 2nd concert in Radio City Music Hall (I was about 14 years old!) Twisted Sister opened up..lol
It doesn't look heavy you look very pretty
I tried the old formula years ago
I believe i was in my early 30s
An it was horrible on my skin
It showed all my fine lines
Thank you! Great review
Geek Out of Water
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing!🙌💛
Pretty makeup!
Thanks, Stacey!
C+ .... no B- Your students must LOVE you!!! LOL Great review as ALWAYS!!! Have a great weekend Shelly!
LOL yep basically if I know who you are, you'll get the benefit of the doubt. I'm always rooting for the underdogs :)
Hehehe yeah my high school years were all Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax... :-D I will check out that Pur powder - added to my list!
😂😂😂 One foot in the gutter, one fist in the gold!! :-D
I had to return it.
I still look forward to seeing the video 😊
Love your eye look!!!
Thanks!!
Have you tried or reviewed the Olay line of cleansers and retinol type of stuff? That stuff is amazing for drug store stuff.
Before I moved into high end skin care, one of my go-to favorites in the early days of my channel was the Olay Regenerist line. I think it is great stuff!
@@goow It is really good!
That eye! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I need a tutorial on that.
Added to the list! Thanks, Amory!
Geek Out of Water you’re the best! Thank you.
I miss our Metalhead shirts . I wish I kept them.
Me too!
you had me at IRON MAIDEN!!!!🤘🏻
Those were the days!!
You have beautiful skin
I am happy to see more drug store foundations have better ingredients & skin care. TY!
Yep me too!
Great review 👍👍🙏🙏
They lost me at fragrance.
I think it looks good on camera.
I am really liking the Tarte Babassu foundcealer you reviewed earlier. It feels like nothing on my face and I got an exact shade match. My hair stylist thought I was just having a really great skin day.
Wow that's the best compliment you can get when it comes to makeup!!
Have u tried/reviewed the concealer ? I’m just seeing it here in Canada now 😵
I don't think I have! I need to!
