Yeah I've found that it acts a little strange sometimes. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. I also admittedly am not an expert with gimbals and steady cams in general at all, so I don't know if this is normal or not.
If this works, you are my new best friend. I just shot a bunch of stuff for work and noticed everything was off about one degree. I thought it was something I was doing. They really should talk more about this in the DJI setup videos.
I have same problem with iphone 11 pro. My calibration value 1.4. I don’t understand that it’s special hardware problem or software problem. When you check with spirit level i can see the problem.
Thank you for your video. Our Osmo Mobile 3 doesn't even work anymore... It just keeps on shaking and giving a pop-up saying that there is a fault in the gimbal but we are unable to solve it... Maybe someone has tips for us? We've searched and tried so many things already but nothing seems to help so far...
Dang, sorry to hear that! Sounds like something you'd just have to send it to DJI for. If you haven't already, try reaching out to DJI support and see what they'll do for you.
@@saminterrante Thank you for taking the time to respond, we appreciate it. We really tried a lot of tricks hoping it would somehow start working again. We will take a look at their support.
Bought it 2 days back.. but there is one issue... My videos look shaky and glitchy. Am using Samsung a51. Is it the issue with the software or the gimbal itself?. I have noticed the glitch only when using the mimo app, but there isn't any glitch using phone camera app but the shakiness is still there.
Hey Sam!👋 so stoked that you are creating content on UA-cam! Can’t wait to see more bts of your portrait photography. We should definitely collab sometime!
Nice video. 👍 Coffee Mug 😂 anyway, how is you smoth zoom option working with the zoom slider on the side of the Gimbal. As my jumps from 1x, to 3x, to 10x. The chat with the DJI Support on FB Messenger goes now, yeah close to 2hours
Hahaha thanks. 😉 What phone are you using? Using the zoom feature on the gimbal still seems to work pretty smoothly, but sometimes it is a little bit choppy. Also, my iphone 8, since it doesn't have multiple lenses for real, optical zoom, is just "zooming" in by cropping the frame, which loses image quality. Not sure if this answers your question? Let me know!
@@saminterrante using the Xiaomi Mi 9 also S10. 3 hours of DJI Support didn't worked out for me. So they recommended to send my Osmo 3 to Netherlands for Repair Checking. Wasn't satisfied, so I downloaded different versions of the Mimo App, and the one from April 2019 and the zoom works fine, no more zoom jumping from 1x, 3x, and 10x time. Thanks for your comment bro. Good job. 💪
I can’t understand why the mimo 3 can’t just get the horizon right in the first place! I just had one from Amazon and have just boxed it to be returned as having constantly pissed footage is just nuts. It’s not fit for purpose when it’s one purpose is to keep the camera flat
Yeah, it seems like a pretty critical thing to overlook! I guess you can correct the crooked horizon line in post production, but that’s annoying and results in having to crop some of the original frame. Hopefully they get it right with the next one.
Hey Arto, I can't say for sure, but I would think no. The only place I could find the horizon adjustment was in the Mimo app. The only other thing I would say to get it straight is to just do it in post.
Damn, not sure what would cause it to do that! I know there's a spin shot feature, but it doesn't sound like what's going on with yours is that. I will add, when I was first mounting the phone, for a while I didn't know that the phone had to be balanced on the gimbal both horizontally AND vertically. Not sure if that's contributing to the problem for you, but double check that. Hope it helps!
@@saminterrante 😂 🍻 And sorry for being blunt. I was super pissed at my Osmo and its still doing this downward drifting thing and I didn’t figure out why.
@@michaellecompte1889 Hahaha all good man. Sucks that you're having trouble with yours. Besides the crooked horizon thing, I've also noticed that when I have mine set up and on the little tripod feet, the whole thing slowly pans left or right. Like just creeps along instead of holding still. Shit drives me nuts lol.
The video really starts at 2:22. And the solution is at 3:38. When will youtubers will stop doing that?
thank you
Not sure if anyone mentioned it but this is applicable to the Osmo Mobile 4 as well. Thanks for sharing this.
Have you had any issues with the camera not following when set to follow? Sometimes by phone just goes in a direction I not wanting it to.

Shoot, I'm afraid I have no idea what that could be. I'd reach out to support (you can find it in the Mimo app) and see if they can help you out!
Is this balancing thing has to be done every time i connect the phone yo gimble or this is just a one time thing?
Pretty sure you just have to do it once! I would check and make sure, but generally I haven’t had to go in each time!

Hey Kacey! Thank you so much, and yes there's definitely more coming! As soon as the stay at home order is lifted I'll be going at it!

The same problem. Does it exist on every osmo3?
Rafal Z not certain if it’s all of them, but it definitely seems like a common problem.
It starts at 3:40 :)
Gotta hand it to you...you're completely right hahaha. 😅 I've made a point to blab less in my videos since making this one!
Thanks, this is very helpful to me

Hey even tho this is posted over 1 1/2 year ago does the horizon adjust work off app because i like to use phones own camera app to film?

My problem is the zooming
What specifically are you dealing with? Like the zoom slider on the gimbal?
Thanx a lot
