I love watching these guys bare foot around molten metal, sparks flying everywhere no one wears safety glasses, lathe turning wearing sandals, them metal shavings are sharp and there all over the floor. I work in machine shops in america and this would never fly, but these are professional and they get the work done no one is just sitting around.
100% I'm a welder in the uk hot metal everywhere. I've been in a smelt plant . Protection hats helmets boots. Gloves Fair play to these guys . Sandles bare feet . It wouldn't fly here in the UK either

Why is it that none of shops ever cleans up the work areas? Piles of shavings around the lathes for example. Do they enjoy working in chaos or are the owners of the shops only worried about the dollars and nothing else. These men work their asses off for very little pay and it's a shame.
My heart breaks to see these men have to work like this. The injuries must be ghastly. So unnecessary ffs! Our forefathers in the West had to work like this 100 years ago. I admire them all, these men are rock hard and uncomplaining, real heroes toiling like this for their families, but boy oh boy are they being exploited. I hope one day things improve for them.
These men are special to accomplish all of this with no safety equipment and work on dirt floors bare footed. If you don't feel fortunate to have been born in The USA you need to talk to the man in the mirror and straighten his ass out~!! 🙏🙏🙏

So there's cast iron, cast steel, steel and probably lots of other impurities. Not good consistent quality. Sandals and loose clothing too. I bet they would get so many burns.
cast steel is like elevator weights. abortion math. cast iron is easy. why machining and finish are so eady. cast steel with inclusions? Have u ever drilled a 1/2 inch elevator weight? Butter for some and it will destroy ur hole saw for others. Crap shoot math.

Sorry, but when I drove big military trucks with fuel, food or ammo, I wanted perfect brakes. Ask any trucker hauling a load if he wants perfect brakes or just usable. The ask the occupants of the car they might hit if they want trucks to have "just usable" brakes or perfect ones.
