Hello Bob, it was freaky a sudden huge gust of wind just picked me and my heavy wheelchair up and sent me down the footpath. Bashed my elbow and ripped my shoulder, which I need to walk on crutches, so very inconvenient, still aches but getting back to normal now thanks for asking…
Nice car. I’m sitting here chucking and thinking or all the glares you must get when you park in a blue badge spot! I hope you told Mrs W that you were selling her Mini? Glad all is ok with you now I’ve just gone ev with a Mokka e on Motability and have to say love it so far even without home charging
lol, yes I asked her permission to sell it, we had a couple of fun years and I made a profit on it! Needed to slim down from 6 cars to 3 now. And yes people do look surprised when we fit all the wheelchair clobber into the back of a Porsche lol
Congratulations on your new ride. Hope you enjoy many happy miles with it. I would love a Taycan Cross Tourismo but when you see what dealers are offering sellers for part exchanged ones then you see what they are asking for an approved used one then Porsche is basically ripping off the seller/ 1st owner AND the potential buyer. My Mini still has 18 months to run on its PCP and I won’t be replacing it with the new model, for the 1st 3 years production will be by Great Wall Motors in China and I don’t think it’s right that a British Icon should be built in China and sold here with a huge price tag - when in China it will be available at a way lower price. Not sure what replace it with yet but a Fisker Ocean Sport is already on the short list and if I also sell the 2023 Defender in 2025 I hope that I can afford the Ocean Extreme with the off-road pack, I doubt I’ll be able to afford a used Cross Tourismo with sensible miles and some warranty though! PS if you are coming as far north as the Stirling area drop me a message on FB .
For Mini it’s all classic minis from now on. If I had home charging and if I could afford it I’d have that Taycan Cross Tourismo in a flash. If we come up your way I’ll let you know cheers…
I'm sorry you got injured and am glad you are feeling better. I'm very surprised the seats weren't comfier in the BMW, you'd really expect them to be blissfully comfortable in a 'grand touring' car and it looked so nice. For a few years now, I've not been too keen on BMW's all looking so very similar and I've never seen a GT on the road, but seeing your video, I thought yours was lovely. As for the Porsche Panamera, Latt is so tiny in it. Is she enjoying driving it? The convertible Mini always seemed to suit her so well. Did Flame get to its new home without any incidents along the way? One thing I want to ask about the Panamera, is regarding the boot lid opening space. The lip looks to be very high and therefore I'd imagine Latt would struggle lifting stuff up and over it. I know she has big muscles 💪🏻 but surely her petite stature would make it difficult, that is if I was seeing it correctly in that the boot floor is lower than the opening is. I have acquired some new wheels today, nothing like you but I picked up an immaculate 2nd hand Mobility Scooter which can fit lengthways in the Mini boot with the rear seats down. Theres not much space for anything else but I now have a roof rack and am looking out for a reasonably priced roof box. It should be much easier when out with my oldest son with his Ankylosing Spondylitis as he suffers terrible pain pushing me in my wheelchair. Having this new shopper type scooter has other advantages. I have that big, bouncy super Green Power scooter but it has to go in a trailer BUT tow bars are unable to be fitted on the Mini SE so I have to tow it behind my Mini Convertible. I had a shopper scooter before but sold it and then regretted it afterwards. No more regrets though as this new one feels so much better built. Looking forward to seeing you on the 14th April in Lincoln 👍🏼 Hopefully we can meet up and head into town together. I need to find a suitable place so if you know of anywhere, please let me know. I don't know Lincoln very well at all. Byee for now 👋🏻 Gena x
Hi Gena, great to hear from you, the BMW was lovely and I highly recommend them, but always wanted a Porsche and so had to do a trade. We still have the Mini Clubman Latts run about, I’m still spending fortunes to keep it going, it’s like saving money in a Russian bank account, so we will be at Bradford Wharf in April. She enjoys the Porsche but it’s very wide and can be tight in small country lanes. It’s very low, so easier than loading an SUV, the sloping back can be a challenge. I’ll be in touch about meeting up in Lincoln can’t wait to see what you’ve done with your SE and the new EV in the boot lol
I see you have some powered back wheels, I ordered some in November last year but cancelled them late December when I discovered the wheels couldn't be removed, looks like you are managing to get them in the car though.
Yes Triride MTW, took the wheels with me when we went to view the car checked they would fit ok, amazingly they did the Panamera is huge, yet to take them on rough ground waiting for the weather, will post a video soon.
Sorry to hear about your injury. Hope you are well now . Glad to see your back making videos .
Love the Porsche . It looks sharp .
Thanks, yeh much better now, and the car is great thanks, I always wanted a Porsche and managed to finally get one before I pop my socks lol
Hope you are recovering Roger

😢 Glad you are on the mend. I think the shock of such calamities really knocks us for six too. I was flung out of a 'hammock type chair' last summer.
