Thanks Mary for letting me know that you had uploaded this video.Again very helpful.I've ordered a wheel and just hope the postman doesn't fold it in half to get it through the letter box! Thanks again. Kind Regards . . . Andy
I just watched your first video from 8 years ago and was looking to see if anyone had asked about the gray scales. Then I found this video! I understand the color wheel but not the “values”. Great explanation but I still have a question. The value #s means what? Like add 7 drops gray to one drop green to get the correct tone?
The value numbers are just a way to refer to each value by number. They could be referred to in exactly the opposite number order and it wouldn’t change a thing. It’s nothing more than a way to identify a particular value. Hope this helps.
If you live in a city with a good art supply store, you will probably be able to purchase one there! If you don't have access to an art store you will need to purchase online. Just Google Color wheel. Good luck!
i have an egg-yolk yellow colored house with white trims which looks very decent ... i have just built a perimeter concrete fence wall ... what do you think would be a complimentary color? ... based on the color wheel, it would indicate a purple color wall ... i'm not sure that would look very nice, in fact, i think it would be a horrible combination... what would you suggest? ... pink, pumpkin, light brown, dark brown, white...?
Loved your video ! Very informative but concise .
Glad it was helpful!

Yikes, I hope your color wheel doesn't get folded in half. If it does happen, it will probably be just fine. They are pretty indestructible.

It has nothing to do with measuring Or mixing colors. It’s a way to indicate a light or dark value on the scale.
How can I purchase this color wheel? Thank you! Love this!

You can always Google yellow house and see what it returns. Possibly there will be some color combinations that you like. Good luck.

Online or at your local art store is even better.
