    Hey Michelle
    I've had quite a journey with my hair and your videos help. I feel like I have a long way to go, I've been following cgm since over a year but I still can't nail my washday. I have medium to low porosity fine hair medium density hair. A big difference I made in my washday was reducing the amount of product and emulsifying it really well. I also clarify my hair almost every week because it gets build up very easily. This video of yours and the one in which u styled your friend Gabus hair really helped. Please keep making such videos, they're really helpful. Lots of love ❤❤❤

    Michelle Manuel you have changed my life. I bought the Northwish naturals curl defining hair gel based on you review and my hair LOVES IT! I just used it for one wash and the results were AMAZING! The definition, shine and softness! OMG Thank you SO MUCH! I tried imported hair gels from naturally you and me and it didn't give me as good results as the northwish gel. I can see why your husband likes it.

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  2 роки тому +3

      Oh mah gosh! Reading this made me so so so insanely happy! Like seriously you have no idea!
      The gel is seriously good! It can give many soft to medium hold gels a run for their money. The brand is small and don't have the budget to advertise which is why they don't get enough credit or exposure in the curl community! That's kinda why I keep speaking up for them! :)

    I have somewhat mixed porosity hair(I guess). Every time you mention the word 'protein', it makes me overjoyed.
    Also you are sooo right about FMC formulation. I always use both in LCOG method(Yellow one as light leave-in and Blue one as heavy cream/butter) and I get good results. I'd say same for their gels. Cocktailing has definitely helped for me, both in terms of results and cost.

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  3 роки тому +2

      Very good insight. I've never tried the LCOG. I think my porosity is also mixed right now. I've cut off most of the high porosity bit. I'm left with a little high porosity and mostly medium porosity hair. You have to get quite creative with mixed porosity hair in terms of styling. 😂😂

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  2 роки тому +2

      Ahhh I understand. The curl quenching hair butter is a very heavy product. But I think you could still try to dilute it and give it a try. On low porosity 2c and tighter hair textures, it might have a chance of working. If not you'll be better off with either the northwish or the ashba leave in conditioners. Both are light weight.

    I also have low porosity hair😭
    BUT I REALISED JUST SWITCHING FOR A GOOD SHAMPOO CAN'T GIVE 100% RESULT, OILING IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT (i discovered a brand named MARS with their OIL THAT CONTAINS- onion oil,teatree oil, jojoba...so and so.. I was dicey for it...but it is just WOWWW ... SO LIGHT THAN MY PREVIOUS COCONUT OIL)
    YEAH...
    I recently purchased plum avacado shampoo and conditioner pack (worth: 541rs ,thanks to sale)
    So with my first hairwash... I felt bit difficult to get lather as it has too gentle formula.... I could also feel less smoothness as Compared to dove or pantene....
    But later as I applied conditioner ,my hair felt like feather....so softttt...
    And right now I had my 4th wash with this.... and I could Legitimately see the result
    My hair are no more frizzy when air dried... +1
    also its returning to its original texture which I barely had since 2020s... +1
    now my hair is having straight to light wavy texture...
    My hair feels soft POST 3RD DAY OF WASH...+1
    YEAH... during conditioning I get hairfall but not as usual ...(hairfall with dove is the worst nightmare)
    So the amount of hairfall has also reduced during wash... +1
    Yes.... THE FRAGRANCE IS SO LIGHT AND SOOTHING ...+1
    ALSO, now I am able to form good lather...with just 3,4pumps of this shampoo... all I do is dilute it a bit... (just little ~40ml maybe) and get good partitions of my hair (4,5) and I put that solution to each of that area divided... in this way I get good amount of lather ...
    To be honest, it is better than what my dermatologist recommended (MINOPEP , THE PRICE WAS TOO HIGH 600RS SOMETHING JUST FOR THE SHAMPOO..)
    IT IS NOT NECESSARY THAT IF IT SUITS ON ME... IT WILL SUIT ON YOU TOO..but... all these days you also might have lost too much of hair ,right... so why not lets give them a try too...maybe it might suit you....❤

    Michelle I have a question I have used both requil murmuru it's proven to be the best conditioner for me when it comes to de-tangling but I have noticed after my hair dries out it does feel a bit greasy which shouldn't considering I just washed my hair and I also used enliven same variant but the thing is it's a bit too slippery/watery for me it doesn't hold out my curls like it doesn't de-tangle not does it hold my curls intact.

      Thanks for the video get another informative!!! Tbh u deserve more likes n subscribers!!!! I'll buy the plum n mom's co conditioner when either of the existing ends....I remember using khadi naturals alovera conditioner when I didn't knew about cg or organic products n that was also when I noticed the curl formation leading me to know my hair is curly n from there my research began even tho khadi didn't mentioned all ingredients in the product reason I had to leave that product from buying but no conditioner was as good as that it didn't weighed down my hair not felt greasy was easy n helpful in de-tangle only disadvantage was no full ingredient list but I saw their first ingredient was purified water n the way it gives me so smooth glossy curls makes me actually think they must have some flim forming protein or humectant as you said. With your channel I beleive someday I'll have my beautiful curls too!! Thanks once again Michelle!!

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  3 роки тому +1

      Help me understand this a little better. You're saying that requils slip is great but it's heavy for your hair? Are you using the babassu one? Are you washing it off properly?
      In this case what you pair it with will also make a difference.
      So could you help me understand your full washday line up?
      Also when you mention the enliven, do you mean the conditioner or the gel? If youre have a problem with the gel, I've experienced the same thing of late. It seems to be very watery as compared to the batches I've bought before. Might be a batch defect.
      If youre talking about the enliven conditioner, I agree it's very watery. I felt like it was a so so product. Since other viewers mentioned that it worked out really well for them, I thought to include it in the video. Personally it was too light for me to enjoy. Try to emulsify it properly before using it. Might improve the spreadability of the product

      @@MichelleManuel Hi Michelle sorry for late reply been preparing for exams 😬😬 I haven't really tried the babassu one but I got the travel free piece of it I'll try and then see.
      Talking about the murmuru one that de-tangles like magic but it leaves my mid-length greasy but my ends are good tho. And I have realised that it also doesn't wash off my hair easily. Enliven looks good on my hair till it is wet after that it's like with water it evaporates too or if I'm ploping then it gets soaked with the tee or something.
      Talking about holding up my curls neither is able to hold my curls till late night even on the first wash.
      I usually use st.botanica's Apple cider vinegar shampoo it cleanse my hair good so I have been using it.
      Then I use requil or enliven conditioner and after applying I leave it till that time I wash my face and cleanse my body n then de-tangle my hair using a thick comb prefered for curly hair and then wash off the conditioner.
      Before watching your videos or landing on your channel I used to make my own curl cream but I realise it also doesn't hold up my curls it's more of a moisturizing cream a batter of aloevera gel, equal portions of spoonful coconut oil, vitamin e capsule and blossom kochar white bottle cream conditioner I use this cream and the already left product in my hair to style and after that at last I use alovera gel.
      And simply plop but I also noticed after ploping my hair gets staright rather than defining the curls so I do not do that anymore after doing it three times I was done. Now I leave it to air dry.
      2019 was the last time I saw my actual curls using the khadi conditioner I mentioned above it has been the best when it comes to showing the result but the ingredient list is the only thing holding me back from buying it lol. And that was also the time I realised my hair was not exactly 2c neither it was exactly 3a somewhere in between.
      And as much as I can recall that khadi conditioner had a very lotion like consistency and comparing it with these two conditioner one is too watery other is like cream for me at least so ig I'm in search for a lotion like conditioner that is not heavy nor light but the ashba is out of my budget....I also live in a bit humid area so in summers I don't wanna use too much product since it could make my hair very greasy so my usual likeness is only for a conditioner I don't even like to use alovera gel but seeing everyone saying gel do define n hold curls I bought it n applied it but that too couldn't help.

    I have kinda wavy hair ....I usually braid them nd they are manageable ....but the top of my head looks so rough ,frizzy and curly . I don’t know what to do . Also I believe that when you say embrace your natural hair it should mean w/o all the excess products ( gels , sprays,etc) ....if you are using all these you basically want curly hair right. It is no different from straightening your hair to get those super silky hair . Your natural hair look is the one post shampooing nd conditioning . How can someone with wavy hair consider curly hair as their natural hair ....i am just curious

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  2 роки тому +3

      Where do I begin with this comment.
      1. CGM is not the only method of taking care of wavy and curly hair. You can choose to follow it or not. There is no compulsion. If it's not for you, then don't try it.
      2. Using cg friendly products cannot be compared to using heat and straightened. Using heat damages the hair cuticle. Using cg friendly products to style does not damage the hair cuticle.
      3. Wavy hair when styled will form waves and curly hair when styled with form curls. A person with straight hair cannot follow a styling routine and get curly hair. A person with wavy hair cannot style and get curly hair. 2b and 2c waves are different from 3a, 3b and 3c curls.
      I have a mix of wavy and curly hair and therefore when I style, my definition will only be according to what forms naturally. I cannot manipulate it to become curly with product.
      At the end of the day you'll probably have to take up this issue with Lorraine Massey. As a follower of her method, I am sufficiently happy. But that doesn't mean you have to follow it too. If it feels wrong to you, then it feels wrong to you. If you feel like people with wavy hair are pining over curly hair and are therefore not really embracing their natural hair then that's what you believe. You have a right to your own opinion.
      I don't feel the need to change that in any way.

      Ahhh yes. That's expected. The spray will only work as a one and done leave in conditioner for hair that cannot tolerate lotion and cream leave in conditioners.
      A way in which you can make it work on your hair is by using it as a prepping mist. Ie before you style your hair, mist your hair with the ktein spray. Then use leave in and then end with gel. So basically you can use it as the first step in a prep style set routine.
