I tried this styling technique after watching your bangoli version and trust me girl my hair looks amazing Thanks a lot😘😘 Everyone who is beginner plss don't give up bcoz transition may take some time bt you won't regret .😘😘
@@heera5101 very happy reading this! ❤️ I promise to motivate your socks off!!!! Curly hair takes effort & an incredible amount of patience but it's so worth it!!!! Sending you lots of love! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@heera5101 not really. The best tip I can give you is just to leave your hair alone during the week. Humidity, frizz, whatever it is, sometimes the best thing to do, is nothing.
Guys , she is so precious. I asked her on her instagram if she could make a video for 2b/2c hair n she shared this link. I never knew influencers could be so kind
I tried this method and bam!!! My hair look gorgeous. I have a beautiful head full of curls now. I'm happy. And also since I had to sit in the bathroom for 40 mins while deep conditioning I scrubbed all the walls in my bathroom so now my mom's also happy 🤣
Hahahaha! That's amazing. Next time just wear a bathrobe or a long button down and come out of the shower. You could watch my advanced deep conditioning routine to see how I cover my head while dcing
@@meghasouparnika depends how dirty ur hair gets . Usually twice in a week is good enough for people who don't travel too much with hair open . Or when ever u see the curls are loosing definition.
This is the ONLY wavy hair routine that works for my hair - I kept trying others that just didn’t work out, and always come back to this routine. Thanks Michelle 🙏❤️
WOW. I've been trying CGM for over 3 years, watched millions of videos, tried hundreds of techniques.... by FAR this is the best video for beginners I have EVER seen. You literally described and explained everything a beginner should know and made it sound so simple. I instantly liked and subscribed.. Can't wait to see all your videos! ❤❤
This one is the most articulate, yet time efficient video for beginners I've watched. I have been following curly friendly products and techniques for 3 years now, so my hair is the healthiest it has ever been. Naturally, many girlfriends with "frizzy" hair have casually said to me "You're so lucky to have hair like that, mine are just so messy" I insist that they follow curly friendly products + techniques. But it's really time taking to explain the whole thing over and over. I looked for such a video online but couldn't find it. Now onwards this video is going to be my default "reference" vid for anyone who asks. Thanks for the content!
My curls are exactly like hers. I was on the verge of giving up after not finding videos for curls like mine. Thankgod I found this channel. You're a hair saviour Michelle.❤️❤️❤️
A good option for styling that is healthy for scalp and hair, inexpensive, no toxic chemicals and makes hair shine is flax seed gel. It is so inexpensive to purchase flaxseeds and make. You may already be aware of it, but it is my favorite. It's really all I use. You can customize for your hair and make it perfect.
@@gayatri6102 I recommend you look at youtube videos and see they use it. We all have different hair and what works for my baby fine wavy will probably not work for yours. I make my flax gel really weak, otherwise it weighs my hair down too much. Keep it in the frig when you are not using and after 2 weeks toss it out.
Every time I watch a curly hair video, it feels impossible because of products or just overall daunting to do. You explained so well and although it will always still be time consuming, you made it seem so much easier try. Thank you! ♥️
Oh my gosh... I seldom comment on UA-cam videos, but your tutorial is absolutely incredible! Right from taking into consideration budgetary constraints to suggesting products, and explaining the whole process like its for a beginner but also detailed demonstrations with the actual name for the terms, watching your video feels like you're holding my hand through the screen and guiding me through the entire process. I've read and watched a ton of curly girl hair content, but yours is definitely the best one out there. Thank you so so so much for such an absolutely incredible video, Michelle!
This is downright the best video on how to better you curls I've come across. I've seen so many videos and tried so many techniques, none have really worked. And what I love most is the detail in which you have explained every step and so clearly. Love it love the video. Thank you
Hey Di , I have been struggling with my hairs for soooo long and I have curly hair and because of not doing a curly haircare I've been experiencing hairloss, frizz and dry dead hair , you are the only youtuber who explains haircare for Indian hair so amazingly I genuinely am so thankful to you for saving my hair and guiding me , for my entire life I had super thick long curly hair which I lost because of extreme straightening and then decided to chop half my hairs off but then I found your channel, you've real thaught me how to embrace my curly hairs , my hairs definitely feel better now , thanks for your guidance didi ❤❤❤
Thanks so much for creating this. I'm an anglo aussie long-term-foster dad to a beautiful Sri Lankan girl. And her struggle with her wavy curly hair - OMG 😲. This is a big help! We'll have to find some simpler options too but this is such great info. Thankyou!
Hello there! What an amazing dad! I've got your covered! There's a 5 min routine on my channel. It's much better suited to people with less time on their hands! Please check it out! ua-cam.com/video/uPNF-wUH7Oo/v-deo.html
first of all, the cotton tshirt trick !!!! GENUIS !!!! been doing the cgs method for a few years ,why am i only finding this out now??? your hair is really prettyyy
I keep coming back to this video again and again. This is the only tutorial that gives my thin fine low porosity hair any volume. No other routine gives me such beautiful results. I can’t thank you enough! I’ve also switched to using a comb. After buying so many expensive brushes I’ve finally accepted that a comb works best for me. So thank you for changing my mind on that as well.
I have straight hair and yet I spent the entire 15 mins to watch this video. 😅 Very informative and greatly articulated. Did not know wavy hair is soo high maintenance.
Really thankyou thankyou. When i was 18 i used to deeply condition my hair then scrunch it. Today i did this whole routine and my curls came out perfectly! 🎈🎈♥️♥️ wish i could have shared my pic in comment section Thankyou so much girl. 🎈♥️♥️♥️
You know what? I have the exact hair as her before hair and I don't have money so i just braid it when its still damp and it gives more definition to the waves. 😂
You could try not using all these products..! I wash my hair with a regular shampoo, but a cg friendly conditioner, (i've been using it for months and its still not over) Once I'm done with that, I first towel dry my roots (helps me prevent falling sick) Now my hair is partially damp. So i oil the hair to add some moisture. After this I make the lengths of my hair soaking wet and scrunch the heck out of it. You do not need all these products at all! Once its completely dry I go in with hair oil (coconut oil from the mill) to give it that shine. And im done! Beautiful curls❤
My daughter has wavy curly hair.... thanks so much....this helps with some of my concern about how to maintain her curls.....she is 7YO and hates going outside with open hair but now I can style her hair better....😀the whole process won't be ideal for her but some I can use on her....
That's lovely to hear. You know what though, just once, for the heck of it, try the do the full routine with gel. Get a cg friendly gel with no alcohol. I think she may be very pleased with the results. :)
so basically you started chemical on your girl hair....every product has chemical inside.sad part about this curly hair rutien, its time consuming, over layer of chemical, conditioner n all, after 3 days you back what your hairs looks actually, its totally fake styling
Thank you so much for such an elaborate video for a beginner like me. I recently got to know about CGM from a curly friend who asked me to try it as I have wavy hair. Every single week I had been blow drying my hair for the last 10 years but following your method in just 3 washes I can see a huge difference in my hair texture and look. You explain everything so explicitly and to the point and make it all look so simple. Thankful to have come across your channel. Keep up the good work. You are an angel.
I'm really glad you stuck with it! It does take a bit of time to master the techniques. I wish everyone watching has your patience and understands that it takes time to perfect your skill set. Now you must watch my curly hair journey videos!!!! See what my hair looked like month on month. It's shocking to see the progress
This was the video that entirely changed my hair forever... Feeling nostalgic. Thanks Michelle, only because of you I got to know about the real potential of my hair.
Wow, my hair is very similar to yours, I feel lucky I can start my hair care with your videos. I'm just at the beginning. Personally the single thing that helped me the most hydrate and give definition to my hair was a mask. Fenugreek-yogurt mask, DIY, Indian recipe. I'll definitely add a gel like you did.
Thank you so much! I was one of those that didn't know I had textured hair! It was always frizzy... now I have wavy hair and feel confident 🙏 thank you... your hair is gorgeous btw ☺
I’m finding this video very insightful but also very intimidating. As someone who genuinely does not enjoy using multiple products and cannot think of having a hair care routine that requires this level of time and dedication, I am wondering whether my hair has become dry and lifeless because I didn’t follow my grandmother’s coconut oiling routine that us Indian girls enjoy as kids. I’m afraid that my hair health will never improve and it will never look like like it should unless I buy more products and spend more time styling and conditioning etc. What are your recommendations for a beginner who is intimidated, anxious, and short on both time and motivation? Thanks so much for sharing your expertise!
I totally understand where you're coming from. Prepooing the hair with oil is also a part of cgm. I do have videos for beginners to cgm in a dedicated playlist. It's a good place to start if you want to understand cgm better. I would also recommend reading Curly Girl: The Handbook by Lorraine Massey (the originator of the curly girl method). It will help you understand the steps of the routine and why each product is used at each step. I also have a video on how to start the curly girl method in India. Might be helpful once you learn a little more about CGM and want to modify/start
@@MichelleManuel Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I ended up watching a few of your other videos after this one and I like that you said that it can be an intimidating and time consuming process so start simple. I feel comfortable starting with making a change in my shampoo and conditioner (long overdue) and continuing to air dry. Are there easy steps or things to keep in mind while starting with these initial changes? For example, I will try to remember to detangle in the shower after conditioning and will give the conditioner some time to act. Meanwhile, I’ll look for CGM approved shampoo and conditioner in the U.S. so I can start asap. Will also check out the handbook you referenced. Thank you for these resources and for making your videos! 🙂
@@DrStratComm it's definitely intimidating when you're just starting and learning. You'll find so many cg products in the states. Go slow and watch some curly hair journey videos. I'm sure you'll be motivated to give it a shot once you see the hair transformations that peopl have experienced. I was very scared about using gel in particular. Now that I see how far I've come, I'm more comfortable with it.

Next day I tried plum deep conditioning ..with fix my curl products....results were even more amazing for 24hours n thn back to same dry frizzy tangled hair failure .... Third time I tried same routine with extra leavin ...which made my hair weigh down just a bit for first 12-18 hours and this time I went n dampened my hair in 24hours , refreshed with lil more leave in ...brought back a bit curls and hair were bit manageable .... Not sure if I invest so much time on hair how do I work .... Can you help with some suggestions please Plus il need to workout everyday ...will I need to refresh everytime scalp is sweaty ...
Hey Swati! Thanks so much for detailing things in your comment. This gives me a great starting point at understanding your concerns. Moisture retention will ALWAYS be an issue for high porosity hair. If you used the FMC curl quenching hair butter, it should have been sufficient in moisture retention, but within reason. Have a look at my playlists on protein - moisture balance You're looking for those film forming humectants, oils & butters in formulations to help with this issue. Anything that seals the cuticle. That being said; You want to understand that curly transitions are a real thing. Curl training takes time. It's a journey, that requires patience & time. Realistically, your hair will look different on all days of the week. Day 1 will be different from day 2, especially for high porosity girls since the cuticle is lifted. But we made our beds (with the heat/colour damage) & have to sleep in it. 🙈 Maybe have a look at my log video + clump training / pin curl refresh. It's a superficial technique. You will only spend 10 mins completing the technique but it will make a huge difference in the appearance of your hair. Hope this helps. :)

I am following CGM from 3 years. Never understood want do you mean by 'hair should feel like seaweed'. I even googled it alot but never really understood. But you explained it. Thank You!! I was on the verge of giving up. Tried so many techniques but nothing worked. Gonna try this tomorrow.
Hey Ruth. Funnily this was me the first 6 months of Cgm. I did not understand what hair feeling like seaweed was. Once I figured it out, I realised that this was the key to knowing if I've styled perfectly. ❤️
Guys . I do have frizzy weavy hair. I mean straight on heat n weavs towards ends .after struggling alot I found a trick .I use to apply mixture of Coconut milk n aloveera gel n Flax seed gel on washed n detangled hair. Keep it for 2 hrs n wash with plain water then use conditioner or mask .wrap a cotton tshirt for 30 mins then air dry .n result is mind blowing. I started doing this bcz I think chemicals are not safe for long run.
I’ve watched a bunch of your videos. I can’t overstate how much you have helped me. I’ve just started this journey and it seems magical. You have answers every question I had in my head. Thank you
My hair is severely damaged from heat. I very rarely diffuse. I feel like air drying works fine for me. I only do it when I'm in a rush or if it's winter. 🙈
I guess my hair is kinda as same as yours. I'm a beginner here and your videos make me fall in love with the process. I'm literally obsessed and I've been watching your videos for hours 😂❤
Great content as always! ❤️❤️ A video I'm sure a lot of us would like to see is a complete wash day routine with pre-poo, deep conditioning and any other advanced techniques you follow, along with advanced maintenance throughout the week. This will help us get the complete picture and not just the beginner friendly tips which you've already covered in depth :) hope I made sense, hope you keep growing!
I'm so glad you asked. The video is already shot. Should be out next month. In the meantime you could watch my LOG video. Might answer a lot of your questions.
That's true. It is what it is. I do have quicker routines on my channel like the rake and scrunch and the leave in and mousse videos. But my results are best when I spend more time and use this technique. Like you said, it is what it is. :(
As a Bengali girl with the cliche wavy hair, I relate to this so much 😭😭😭... Everyone's either for curly or straight... None of them stands up for wavy hair 😭😭
I'm so glad you brought this up! Wavy hair among Bengali women is so common. It's a topic we must bring to the forefront. You HAVE to check this out! *wink* ua-cam.com/video/D4gl5Gego80/v-deo.html
@@HarpreetKaur-io9wu thank you so much for sharing. I think wavy hair is a very common hair type in india. Unfortunately we didn't have much info on how to take care of wavy hair which is why we opted for straightening and other treatments. Now with cgm coming to the forefront, it has gained more popularity. We're starting to become more aware and ready to wear our natural hair.
OMG I have to say this. You are a life saver.❤ I knew that I have a wavy hair but the videos or the reels people show make them really tedious. So I just used to follow straight hair routine. But that made my hair look unhealthy. You know all the frizz and lack of shine. I just used a leave in and aloe gel post hair wash. I scrunch it and leave it to air dry. But after drying it will be back to being back to poofy and frizzy. I think that is because I was using the product on my damp hair. So I thought to to see some video about wavy hair that's when I found to this Channel. This is my third cg wash and my hair is sooo shinny.... I cannot retain my curls the next day of wash but I hope that it will change. The plopping method is so good. It just use my leave in and diy flax seed gel ,aloe is not my type and tada.. igot waves Thank you so much for your video.....💖💖
Heyy! I'm 14 and I've always been worried about my hair as I thought it was really frizzy but I know the problem now. Also I'd like to mention that I saw my sister doing a very similar hair routine as she has curly hair but glad to know it works for wavy hair too. Thankyou very much for this video and I'm looking forward to trying it out🤍 Questions: How many times should I do this a week? Can I comb my hair to do a pony or something later?..
I was searching for someone to ask that question 😅 and if u know the answer plz do tell me Like can we just comb our hair and still have those curls or need to do this on regular basis
@@tammanathakur3379 I found out that after combing the hair, it'll become kinda straight again.. after doing the steps shown in the vid it's adviced not to comb your hair until you want those curls to be in place :D
I just happened on your channel. Excellent video. I wish I’d have seen this a year or so ago. I’m one of those who didn’t have a clue that I have wavy hair. Thank you so much!
i tried the cg method for curly hair thinking i have 3a hair but turns out i have 2c.thanks to this video i've learned a lot of new things. now off to try them
Hey, thank you so much for this :) I'm definitely going to try it out. I got a few questions though if you don't mind. 1) How many times a week would you recommend using shampoo/ conditioner? 2) I've noticed you said you only follow this routine once a week, so what do you do every other day? 3) Are there any ingredients in specific to look out for when shopping for shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner and gel? Since most of the products listed aren't available where I live.
So basically if you're looking to follow the curly girl method you'll need to shop for products that are cg friendly (products with no sulphates, no silicones, no alcohol & no parabens) You can google CG Friendly products in US/UK/your country. You should find a list of brands available to you. I've covered a lot of your questions in a video. You could have a look. It will save me the effort of having to type it all out. :) ua-cam.com/video/ij1NVegykAE/v-deo.html
My hair type is exactly the way yours was before you started CGM. Thanks so much for the detailed explanation. Also love how you've used cruelty free products. So rare to find Indian UA-camrs do that. Subscribing right away.
Thank you so much Rutuja. I really appreciate it. Being cruelty free is very important to me. Everything you will see on this channel will always be cruelty free unless a product is doctor prescribed. Can't confirm the cruelty free status of medical brands sadly :(
@@MichelleManuel Yeah, sadly, pharma companies are mandatorily required to conduct animal testing by law :( That's the only exception I make too. Also, it'd be helpful to newbies if you could mention which of the products are vegan. Thanks again :)

Straight to the important point and your work shows professionalism. Loved your video.❤️ Please make more curly hair videos because there are many confused men/ women who wants to start curly hair method but it can get so confusing!
Hey! Firstly, the video is soo detailed and amazingly exllained. It simplified this whole complicated cg method concept with lot of contradictions. And secondly, I want to know whether we should follow all these steps everytime we take head bath (twice a week)? Or can we restrict the deep conditioning and gel application part to just once every week or two..? Thank you in advance
Hi Preethi! Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Ok so deep conditioning: If you have medium to low porosity hair, you don't need to deep condition everytime you wash + style your hair. However if you have high Porosity hair, you might need to dc every single time you wash and style. (Exhibit A: me! ) If you're a beginner to cgm, just focus on a single routine and don't over complicate it. Focus on trying different styling techniques. See which one works best for you. Once you have nailed your styling technique & product amounts, then check to see if your hair needs more. If it does consider dcing. Try once every 3 washes and see if your hair needs more. Then start focusing on protein moisture balance and hair porosity. However, take it slow and don't rush. There's no need to nail it all in the beginning. The more you experiment and have those small aha moments and wins, the more you'll fall in love with your journey. May I suggest slowly watching my playlist for beginners and my curly hair transition tips + advice playlist. Hope this helps! ❤️
Gel application: I need it everytime I style and lots of it. This is something you'll have to experiment with yourself. I personally cannot do without it.
I'm pretty well-versed in cgm and still learned some new tips from this video, as well as a couple technique variations I'm going to try in my 2b/c hair! Thank you so much for the thorough and detailed explanation. Your hair is my goal!! (The part where you said you sotc for 10 min was a shocking moment for me - I thought it was like a shell cracking off an egg and was doing it for 30 seconds and then wondering why it hadn't scrunched out yet. 😂)
Thank you so much. About scrunching out the crunch. I find I have different experiences with different gels. If I'm using a hard gold gel I scrunch way more. When I use a soft hold gel like the arata gel, I don't need to sotc for long. It totally depends. Also depends on if you're using an oil to sotc. But yeah on average I spend about 7-10 mins scrunching out the crunch and fluffing out my roots. Some days I even go in with a root comb and give my roots some lift.
I have 2C type hair and I never use conditioners, instead I apply coconut oil through out my hair before shampoo every single time. Using wide toothed comb is important part to maintain the hair Most beautifully
I’m going to get these products right away cause my hair looks just like that and I’m done spending my money at hair salons for blow drying my hair to put them in place. Poor babies this is what they needed!! Thanks sweetie 😘😘
Hey beautiful!❤️ I absolutely loved this video and will definitely continue to watch more of your content. One question though. How do you maintain your curls through the night? I'm a fairly messy sleeper and I'd love to get a few suggestions on how I could maintain them.
Hey Jeslin. Im glad you asked. I have a playlist called post wash day hair care. I've put a few videos in the playlist that might help. I'm also leaving the link to my night routine video here. Please have a look. ❤️ ua-cam.com/video/R9VH-ij_uek/v-deo.html
I have curly hair and I have never done the curly hair method. I'm starting from today by watching the techniques and results from your video. Using the same products as you have shown in this video. Hopefully I'll get to see some results if I continue for 2-3 monts. Thanks for inspiring and keep it up. Lots of love ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for this! I'm excited to try it - I've been doing my routine for over a year now but haven't done it in your order before (my order is leave-in - curl comb - cream - gel, so I'm quite impressed how well your curls formed even though you only scrunch them at the very end) - I want to see if it'll work for me. And I definitely agree with you, I've gone for 30 years of my life without knowing I had wavy hair just because I kept brushing them to death and they were all sad and lifeless. Great video!
For the longest time, I used to apply leave in. Then go in with my comb and then lastly glaze and scrunch the gel in. But I've noticed that the method of application I use now causes less frizz and gives me even gel distribution. It's been a real game changer. Hopefully it works for you
Thank you sooo much 💙 I have always thought that I had straight hair and I have watched so many videos and tried so many different methods but I would always end up with weird looking hair. I came across your video today and decided to try your method and holy shit my hair looks so wavy like I can’t believe it.. I wish I could show you pictures like holy shit I can’t thank you enough
Hi I would like to say you are my teacher and I learn everything about wavy method from you and archived very beautiful wavy style thank you so much for every small details that you given and make an effort and time
i've been so worried over my hair being dry and brittle, and reliazing it's naturally curly and shouldn't be so rough handled just opened a new world to me. i loved this video! can you tell me if aloe vera gel works as a good subsitute for the hair gel you used?
That's amazing to hear. You could use aloe vera gel. It will give you less hold but it's worth a shot. I used to use aloe vera when I started my wavy hair journey.
Hi Michelle, just started your method. Loving the results. ❤️ Great content & detailed videos 😀. So glad I came across your channel. Really appreciate the hard work you've put in ❤️
I started my CGM yesterday after watching your videos and i can clearly see the effect after 1st day of my routine.. I'm absolutely in love with my curls, wish I found you a little earlier but nevermind :)
So after doing the process, althkugh it's more defined, I've been getting more than usual frizz and tangles, especially with the gel. I think it's called wet frizz but not sure. Any idea what can be done?
Frizz is part of your cgm transition journey. This technique gives me the least frizz by far. Maybe your hair simply doesn't like it. Experiment with different styling techniques. Check your protein moisture balance. Check your plopping technique and the amount of gel you're using. Maybe your hair isn't feeling like seaweed after styling. If you carefully hear all the instructions and what I emphasised, you'll be able to identify which step is going wrong. Watch my playlist on curly transition and my protein moisture balance series. Hopefully you will understand how to pinpoint what's going wrong or what your hair doesn't like. I'll make a detailed video on frizz very soon. Maybe that could help you out?
Same issue is with me 😛 I recently found out my hair is supposed to be curly/wavy but after following CG method my hair is even more frizzy and looks like fluffball
Frizz is a very normal part of your curly hair journey. If it were possible to have frizz free hair after one of two months, then cg transitions wouldn't be a thing. Maybe watch my curly hair transition tips + advice playlist.
Ahhh I completely get what you're saying. 🙈 If you have very little time in the week, do a rake and scrunch technique and then diffuse.. If you feel like that's still too much for you, use a bit of leave in conditioner and maintain a protein moisture balance for hair health. Forget the styling altogether. Once a month if you're able to squeeze in a deep conditioning mask, go for it.
Thank you so much for making this video 😊 I used the technique of wrapping my hair in a Cotton T shirt like shown in the video, and it worked wonders for me. My hair had more defined waves as compared to when i just let them down to dry.
hi!!!! I tried this routine but with the wow shampoo and conditioner and used the same conditioner as a leave in, and used the arata gel and the routine worked well for me (im a 2b-2c) on the first day, but due to extreme hair fall lately, my hair clumps up all together making my hair look messy/ bed headed instead of wavy. Is it because I just have thin hair??? Really confused😫p.s thank you for this video!!!
Not at all. It's very common for your hair to get tangled up during the week. Try separating your clumps with some oil or serum. It's even more common for your hair to look messy and frizzy if you are in curly transition. I think give the routine a few more tries. You need to take care of your hair a little during non washdays as well. Please watch my curly hair night routine video. Please also have a look at my log video to see how I extend my washday results. Also check my clump training, pin curl refresh video. (If you're a beginner go ahead and watch the entire playlist. You'll find some many details on how to take care of your hair) I'll make a detailed video on frizz & how to take care of your hair during the week.

How many times we have to do this routine
That's so sweet. Exactly how I feel. It's difficult to explain how and why my hair is different now.

You can customize for your hair and make it perfect.
hey how did u use it??i just made it so can u tell me ur styling method
@@gayatri6102 I recommend you look at youtube videos and see they use it. We all have different hair and what works for my baby fine wavy will probably not work for yours. I make my flax gel really weak, otherwise it weighs my hair down too much. Keep it in the frig when you are not using and after 2 weeks toss it out.
@@annaburns5382 how do you make it

You could try not using all these products..! I wash my hair with a regular shampoo, but a cg friendly conditioner, (i've been using it for months and its still not over)
Once I'm done with that, I first towel dry my roots (helps me prevent falling sick)
Now my hair is partially damp.

You know what though, just once, for the heck of it, try the do the full routine with gel. Get a cg friendly gel with no alcohol. I think she may be very pleased with the results. :)

Wow, my hair is very similar to yours, I feel lucky I can start my hair care with your videos. I'm just at the beginning.

Not sure if I invest so much time on hair how do I work ....
Can you help with some suggestions please
Plus il need to workout everyday ...will I need to refresh everytime scalp is sweaty ...
Hey Swati!
Thanks so much for detailing things in your comment. This gives me a great starting point at understanding your concerns.
Moisture retention will ALWAYS be an issue for high porosity hair.
If you used the FMC curl quenching hair butter, it should have been sufficient in moisture retention, but within reason.
Have a look at my playlists on protein - moisture balance
You're looking for those film forming humectants, oils & butters in formulations to help with this issue.
Anything that seals the cuticle.
That being said;
You want to understand that curly transitions are a real thing.
Maybe have a look at my log video + clump training / pin curl refresh.
It's a superficial technique. You will only spend 10 mins completing the technique but it will make a huge difference in the appearance of your hair.
Hope this helps. :)

Wavy hair are Very common among punjabi girls as well but most of them opt for permanent straightening.....
You are a life saver.❤
I knew that I have a wavy hair but the videos or the reels people show make them really tedious.

I'm happy you're here. Thanks for watching! Hope this helps and you get amazing definition. ❤️

I never realised my hair was curly... I thought it was damaged and super frizzy... Thank God I tried the CGM!
Ok so deep conditioning:
If you have medium to low porosity hair, you don't need to deep condition everytime you wash + style your hair.
However if you have high Porosity hair, you might need to dc every single time you wash and style.
(Exhibit A: me! )
If you're a beginner to cgm, just focus on a single routine and don't over complicate it.
This was soo informative. I looove that you explained everything so clearly. Thank you so much.
Thank you! That is so kind! ❤️❤️
@@MichelleManuel nice, thank you, this is super helpful to know! :)
I have 2C type hair and I never use conditioners, instead I apply coconut oil through out my hair before shampoo every single time.
Using wide toothed comb is important part to maintain the hair Most beautifully
Thanks for sharing :)
I’m going to get these products right away cause my hair looks just like that and I’m done spending my money at hair salons for blow drying my hair to put them in place. Poor babies this is what they needed!! Thanks sweetie 😘😘
Go for it. I would suggest first recommend trying an aloe vera gel or a flaxseed gel. If soft hold doesn't work for you then try a hard hold gel.
Wow Michelle. Soooo awesome to see your vlog pop up on my preferences on account of popularity.
And might I say I LOVED IT
WAY TO GO !

@@MichelleManuel Hi Five ✋✋✋

Hey beautiful!❤️
I absolutely loved this video and will definitely continue to watch more of your content.

Loved the way you explained so well. Thank you so much 🥰 ❤
Thanks for watching Dipika! ❤️
Did it work?
How it's going
My hair is so similar except light brown/golden!!! Glad I found this!
I love your voice it’s so pleasant ☺️
Also thanks for the video, I have almost the same hair as you and this is really helpful!
I’m a white girl but my great grandfather was East Indian so I have crazy curly hair!
Thank you so much. I really appreciate you leaving me such a sweet comment.
What a lovely ancestry. I bet your hair is gorgeous! ❤️
Hopefully it works for you
Did it worked for you ?
Thank you sooo much 💙 I have always thought that I had straight hair and I have watched so many videos and tried so many different methods but I would always end up with weird looking hair. I came across your video today and decided to try your method and holy shit my hair looks so wavy like I can’t believe it.. I wish I could show you pictures like holy shit I can’t thank you enough

I just tried the ribboning method to create my curl clumps and it's been such a game changer! Thank you Michelle
I haven't tried the set wet gels. Not sure about their cruelty free status. I had reached out.
The brand hasn't responded on instagram. :(
@@MichelleManuel oh no, that’s such a bummer.
@@lookingforpaperstars I know. It's super budget friendly. Really wish I could use and recommend it!
i've been so worried over my hair being dry and brittle, and reliazing it's naturally curly and shouldn't be so rough handled just opened a new world to me. i loved this video! can you tell me if aloe vera gel works as a good subsitute for the hair gel you used?
That's amazing to hear. You could use aloe vera gel. It will give you less hold but it's worth a shot. I used to use aloe vera when I started my wavy hair journey.
Hi Michelle, just started your method. Loving the results. ❤️ Great content & detailed videos 😀. So glad I came across your channel. Really appreciate the hard work you've put in ❤️
That is so amazing to hear! Be sure to protect your hair on non washdays with a satin pillowcase + scrunchies!
Excited for you! ❤️❤️❤️
Very beautiful! This is my hair type, despite not being Indian hair! Awesome tips! Glad I finally found this!
I'm glad you're here! ❤️
I started my CGM yesterday after watching your videos and i can clearly see the effect after 1st day of my routine.. I'm absolutely in love with my curls, wish I found you a little earlier but nevermind :)
OMG yessssssss!
@@MichelleManuel thank you so much 😘😘😘

@@somdipapusti716 I have been thinking about that for a while now! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Okie who on earth has the time to do this!? Do you have any tips on how to take care of wavy hair for us gals who live very fast paced lives?
Ahhh I completely get what you're saying. 🙈
If you have very little time in the week, do a rake and scrunch technique and then diffuse..
So so glad to hear it. Plopping is one of my most fav techniques. Always enhances my definition! So glad it worked for you too. ♥️🤗
First time I’ve seen a video with brushing out vertically to get clumps and evenly distribute and this is genius
:)
You'll find some many details on how to take care of your hair)
I'll make a detailed video on frizz & how to take care of your hair during the week.
That Wow conditioner didn't worked for me properly. Instead of moisturising, it dried my hair more
@@ashasuryanarayana2674 kindly use the requil conditioner as shown in the video.

But its been a few weeks that i have decided to actually let my hair be the way it is.... Cuz who likes to be NOT accepted as the way they are? 😌
The journey of accepting your hair as it is .... is hard at this beginning , its a process and i am glad that finally i have decided to get started with my CGM journey .
