you asked about Sarsa and her song "Naucz mnie" and I think it was quite popular, but from my perspective, it gained more popularity after Letni Chamski Podryw made a parody of it called "Pomidorowa" (tomato soup) about how a dude has to eat a big pot of tomato soup for a whole week, because it was made from Sunday's chicken noodle soup ;)
Actually surprised that it took until 2023 for Margaret to get mentioned but maybe that's because she was a 10ish girl favorite. Like "Cool Me Down" was very often on the radio. It's also a big fave of mine.
Zakopower with the song "Boso" made me discover a whole new world of music that is both folk and pop/rock. I love this kind of mix of traditional sounds and new arrangements and a twist of modern style. Zakopower are a great band.

Dawid Podsiadło made some good songs. He's very respected and famous singer. Outside Poland I think he's most famous for making songs for Cyberpunk. He even got his own NPC in the game.
Oh gosh, this is such a nostalgia trip... Sylwia Grzeszczak, Podsiadło, and sanah are definitely some of the biggest names. I agree that Podsiadło could be an export product, and not just him. But it's not about talent or potential; it's about marketing and connections. You know, that's a reason why most internationally known artists come from the US, England, or Latin America. These are the biggest music markets, with the largest funds and efforts behind them. Also, if you want to make an international career, you need to sing in English, or ultimately in Spanish. You can check out Podsiadło's song "Let You Down" from the anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners (Cyberpunk is a Polish game, by the way). Other songs of his to check out are definitely "W Dobrą Stronę" (the context might be a bit lost on you since it's kind of reminiscent of Polish reality, but the song is amazing nevertheless), "Małomiasteczkowy," "Mori," and "Nieznajomy" live from PGE Narodowy. As for Sanah, I think "Uczta" and "Poezyje" are her two best albums. "Poezyje" is her take on singing old Polish poetry, and it's honestly pretty great. My personal favorite is "Hymn" (of course, checking the lyrics is a must). Also, the song she recorded with Igor Herbut, "Mamo Tyś Płakała," was released right after the invasion of Ukraine and is such a hard-hitting performance. Another big name on the Polish scene is definitely "Męskie Granie" - it's actually the name of an annual festival. For each edition, various artists prepare a new song: "Początek," "I Ciebie Też Bardzo," "Super Moce." Pretty much every song ends up being amazing. Daria Zawiałow - I'm actually surprised she's so popular now because I remember her having hits a few years ago, like "Hej Hej," but it's cool that she's still holding up. Kwiat Jabłoni is a band that appeared like a supernova a few years ago. They have this characteristic, folk style. They're not that big now, but still appear here and there. A song to check out is absolutely "Dziś Późno Pójdę Spać." Margaret has been very big a few years ago too; it's weird that there's only one and fairly recent of her songs. I think "Cool me down" and "Thank you very much" are better known than this one. Also, on this list, there are a few Polish songs in other languages. C-Bool and Gromee are Polish DJs collaborating with various vocalists, and Blue Cafe is a Polish band.
I know almost all of these songs. And generally I like many. It's worth to add that there are here, at this list, also some songs that are performed in English and with the foreign-sounding names of performers - but they are actually Polish ones as well (although one may don't know they are Polish).
1. Sylwia Grzeszczak - one of the strongest and most popular Polish voices, an amazing artist with a cosmic voice. Her live concerts are enchanting. I recommend *"Och i Ach"* and *"Motyle"*. Watch and show Your reaction for her live performance here: *"Sylwia Grzeszczak - Księżniczka | Polsat SuperHit Festiwal 2022"*. 2. Sanah - created a beautiful music album featuring songs inspired by poetry. Highly recommended. Album: *SANAH "POEZYJE"*. 3. Dawid Podsiadło - a fantastic voice, great charisma, and incredible concerts. Definitely worth listening to and watching.
Sanah's takes on some of those old poems were fantastic. I remember her version of Hymn was probably the first time I really, fully appreciated that poem for some reason.
Dawid Podsiadło for many years now has been releasing one banger after another. His vocals are amazing, the production is great, his songs are the ones you listen to on the radio but also alone. Liked by humans of many demographics. Honestly he is the artist. Some of his songs are just to listen to, some have a deeper meaning, and I think there is one for cyberpunk? But also they all are something you would expect to hear on the raio, or it'll be on the radio just because it's Dawid. Yeah. I feel like he isn't talked about often but tbh everybody knows him.
Hip-hop on Polish radio? No way! But I heard Eminem-Houdini a few times last month. I was shocked :D because of the lyricks.. 😂 because this text is quite vulgar. However, Poles often do not understand the lyrics of foreign songs or do not pay attention to them.
Really nice video! Note that after 2020 there is a lot of polish songs here and so famous Taylor Swift is not so famous here (her last song on this list was in 2014).

10:12 Well this is an interesting case. LP is American, but it's Poland where Lost On You became a smash hit. It happens here from time to time that the song snubbed internationally gets elevated. Other examples include Relax, Take It Easy by Mika or Katerine's cover of Ayo Technology.
In polish radio you will hear songs in many different languages . English , French , Spanish , Portuguese and many other. We don’t care if we don’t understand a word . It’s about energy and emotions . Unfortunately in Ireland where I leave currently you can hear only English songs and because of that you will hear the same songs all they long in the loop 🙈
I believe that there is no rap music on the list, because mostly young people are listening to it but everyone listening to pop. Poland is old people country and is "dying", because of lack of kids, so it can have an impact on the stats too. Also rap music isn't widely played on any radio station, because of a lot of swear words. Dawid Podsiadło might not be known worldwide, because he makes mostly songs in Polish language, it's harder to get to people around the world using hard to understand language that no one can use, English is widely known around the world and a lot of people can understand it.
Dawid Podsiadło also has songs in English-you should check them out! "Dawid Podsiadlo - Forest" is great. He also contributed a soundtrack to Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, it has a Bond-style vibe to it. Dawid Podsiadło, P.T. Adamczyk - Phantom Liberty
You can definitely make a reaction to Dawid Podsiadło's songs. Sanah is very popular in Poland. She sings for example some polish poetry and this is so beautiful to honor that in this way ❤ she also has some really good songs, I like "ostatnia nadzieja" with Dawid Podsiadło (we have a combo here) 😅 I think that Doda also deserves attention for sure if you didn't hear any of her songs yet. 😊 I really like your content and I think you could gain some more followers if you'd think about adding some polish subtitles, a lot of polish people doesn't speak English but they like to watch people from other countries reactions to anything what's polish
"Weż, nie pytaj", jak dla mnie najlepsza piosenka z tych wszystkich. A to widziałeś?: "Wiedźmin 3: Dziki Gon - Pieśń „Wilcza zamieć” w 7 językach" (wiem, że inny temat). I kolejny "inny": "Hymn Polski /Spodek odleciał !!! Obejrzyj. Każdy Polak powinien to kiedyś przeżyć!:)"
W radio nie grają polskiego rapu czy hiphopu, raczej takie imprezowe i taneczne piosenki. często w polskim rapie/trapie pojawi sie jakieś przeklęństwo/ niecenzuralne słowo i to dyskwalifikuje taka piosenke aby leciała w radio
If you say that you don't know some of these songs - don't worry, I've never heard most of them, even the Polish ones, but I honestly have to admit that in 2010 and later I stopped following the music market altogether - if I want to listen to something, I prefer to go back to older songs. As for Agnieszka Chylińska, you've already reacted to her performance at Woodstock and many people wrote a lot about her in the comments there. And I have to admit that even though it's not my kind of music, Dawid Podsiadło and Sanah are probably the most popular artists in Poland right now. I appreciate the talent, but I don't listen.
You should listen Cleo & Donatan "My slowianie" from this list. 6:25 it was from Eurovision contest and whole Europe loved this song. And Sarsa 8:41 !!!
Here is a song with English subtitles about our unbroken soldiers, also called the cursed soldiers, who fought for us against the soviet government. When the war had already ended for the western Europe and they left us behind the iron curtain. The last unbroken soldier Józef Franczak was killed in 1963. Eighteen years after the war. ua-cam.com/video/qBI0g5ZR1uc/v-deo.html
From Polish singers that became popular few years ago you should definately check: Daria Zawiałow and Sanah, diferent styles, but these 2 i probably value most. As for male singers - i realy don't know. Not a fan of male voices unless it's rock type of singing...
From artist that have been some time check band called: Enej -> they produce unique mix of folk, pop, rock, punk and reagge. Many of their song where bangers, maybe not hitting #1 on charts but usualy in top 5/top10 most popular songs of given period. other band, would definatly be Zakopower -> another mix of rock and folk music. This one strictly taking huge parts from traditional music of Polish highlanders leaving in Podhale region. Also popular and hitting top lists every now and then. Naming these two bands, because what they create is kind of unique type of music, that's probably hard to hear anywhere else other than Poland. And their song are also quite popular and often played on radio statons (on contrary to rap, which is rarely seen on major stations, if played in radio- mostly by stations that focus on rap music)
That radio is probably RMF FM. There they just play popular stuff 100 times a day. I haven't listened to them for decades. They destroy music by repeating the same thing over and over again. One of the better and more ambitious Polish radio stations is Radio 357, it used to be radio trójka. Musical genres are plentiful and here are maybe three. Well, popular music.
A Polish teen here, you should really listen to like Disko Polo - its a tv station that plays music that's typical Polish taste, or radio stations like Radio Zet, Radio RMF FM. Disco Polo is literally my whole childhood, it's played everywhere from birthday parties to party after wedding. No matter who you ask, people love to party to it.
Hello, unfortunately Polish radio is currently monothematic. In the 90s and 00s there was much more rock, but unfortunately there was also little real hip-hop. Now it's all party music on the radio, no rock or real hip-hop. Regards
Unfortunately, especially in the years 2017-2023, Polish Radio (public radio) was completely subordinate to the party ruling Poland at that time, i.e. PiS, and the hit lists were often falsified to the detriment of Polish performers (most of them did not like this party and its policies). Listener voting was distorted, and a huge scandal broke out in 2021, when the last sensible people left the radio station and founded their own private radio (. In addition, the listenership of Polish Radio has been falling rapidly since 2015. To sum up: it is not a representative source when it comes to the taste of Polish listeners. Although a few songs that were popular among Poles at the time did make it there.
In my opinion, Polish radios are limited, I mean that they play music that is pleasant to the ear. On the Polish radio, the chance to hear a Polish song with swear words is rare because they normalize the songs to be pleasant to the ear because "children" listen to the radio. That's why a genre like RAP is kind of banned because it's too aggressive in terms of words. It's not always like this and every now and then you come across something rap-related, but as long as there's no swearing, of course. As for K-pop, Poles are racists for a long time. People who listen to rap/trap/hip-hop etc. just hate K-pop and its singers a lot because of their origins mainly. Why, you ask? Let's call it musical pathology. Most young people listen to music such as rap etc. and this is the main reason. Such people listen to a given artist or genre and stick to it. If you want to say that a genre other than theirs is also cool, they immediately call you names etc. and if you tell them that their music is unlistenable or something like that. Then choose the grave. You are enemy number one. (This also applies to fashion in how they dress, so it's hard with this type of thing). And finally, I will add that this type of channels with top music in Poland x.x.x is still chosen by a person according to their tastes because there are always other songs that are also popular, but as they say, everyone has their own taste and will add what suits them. I used a translator because I am weak in English. Sorry for the mistakes :)
LOL, I think that kpop is much popular among the youngest generations currently. Tje most famous bands have definitely fans in Poland (usually those younger ones). And not liking kpop, which can be regarded as specific genre, doesn't mean that someone is racist. By the way, there are many very popular UA-cam channels about Japan and South Korea, and many Poles are much interested in these countries, their culture, language and history. Just to mention Gabriel Hyodo, Ignacy z Japonii, Kim jestem - Koreańczyk w Polsce, Pyra w Korei, Pierogi z kimchi, Aiko and Emil, and others.
@MayaTheDecemberGirl Poles are Poles. They may be nice in front of foreigners, but otherwise they are mega racists. They mainly make fun of others, especially black people. That's the nature of Poles, no one will tell you that to your face. But as a Pole I can tell you how it is. And age doesn't matter to me. Young or old, everyone likes to laugh at others from time to time. LGBT people also have it hard, but that's a different topic. But getting back to how music is received in Poland, every detail matters. In short, welcome to Poland.
Polish Radio doesn’t really play Polish hip-hop, rap, or rock and roll, which is why there’s almost none of it on this list

You can listen to all his performances in X Factor when you find the playlist on YT "Dawid Podsiadło - X Factor".

Most of the songs give really strong vibes of family/friends road trips and that's nostalgic.
Reaction for Polish singers singing in English would be cool like Afronental - Rock & Rollin' Love
Good idea. My favourite Afromental's song.
Prosimy ❤
A song to check out is absolutely "Dziś Późno Pójdę Spać."
Margaret has been very big a few years ago too; it's weird that there's only one and fairly recent of her songs.
I'm surprised that "Byłominęło" by Kwiat Jabłoni didn't make this list, I had the impression that about a year ago it was playing non-stop everywhere
Tamagothi by Taconafide is missing. It was such a massive song in Poland a couple years ago!
but I don't think it was on the radio that much, at least not on the most popular ones like RMF or ZET
@ it was on radio eska all the time though ☺️
Radio versions are often censored in some way.
Zależy jaka stacja :)
Really nice video!
Note that after 2020 there is a lot of polish songs here and so famous Taylor Swift is not so famous here (her last song on this list was in 2014).

The fact is that commercial radios, in most of the countries, play usually mostly the songs and performers promoted by big music agencies.
10:12 Well this is an interesting case. LP is American, but it's Poland where Lost On You became a smash hit. It happens here from time to time that the song snubbed internationally gets elevated. Other examples include Relax, Take It Easy by Mika or Katerine's cover of Ayo Technology.
Sanah and Dawid Podsiadło are dominating now like Sylwia Grzeszczak in 2010's
and Daria Zawiałow a little bit :)
Agnieszka Chylińska - Kiedy powiem sobie dość (from Pol'and'Rock festival) - You must see!
Lista przebojów programu trzeciego it's a polish radio charts from early 1980s till 2020. Definitely worth of checking it out
In polish radio you will hear songs in many different languages .
OMG, 4:04 is full of teenage nostalgia 😭
I once switched to Polish radio. I have been deaf ever since.
Sanah - Sen we snie, Czeslawa
Please react to : Sobel & sanah "Cześć, jak się masz?" Great song IMHO.
If you like Agnieszka Chylińska try O.N.A. She had her best time back then.
You can definitely make a reaction to Dawid Podsiadło's songs. Sanah is very popular in Poland. She sings for example some polish poetry and this is so beautiful to honor that in this way ❤ she also has some really good songs, I like "ostatnia nadzieja" with Dawid Podsiadło (we have a combo here) 😅
I think that Doda also deserves attention for sure if you didn't hear any of her songs yet. 😊
I really like your content and I think you could gain some more followers if you'd think about adding some polish subtitles, a lot of polish people doesn't speak English but they like to watch people from other countries reactions to anything what's polish
OH YES AND SYLWIA GRZESZCZAK SHE HAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL VOICE ❤
For me Dawid Podsiadło and Daria Zawiałow are currently the best singers in Poland, but that's obviously my opinion.
Dawid Podsiadło - Małomiasteczkowy !
You should liesten to this one :)

Jeszcze z lat 2000-2009
chylinska Grzeszczak podsiadlo and sanh was most popular ones in our radio
You can really tell when certain artist released album when they have like 3-5 songs in one year on top
Ava Max was HUGE in Poland
"Weż, nie pytaj", jak dla mnie najlepsza piosenka z tych wszystkich. A to widziałeś?: "Wiedźmin 3: Dziki Gon - Pieśń „Wilcza zamieć” w 7 językach" (wiem, że inny temat). I kolejny "inny": "Hymn Polski /Spodek odleciał !!! Obejrzyj. Każdy Polak powinien to kiedyś przeżyć!:)"
Is this bad that i like every song from this video? While i'm 15? I mean they are cool to vibe and all that
If you say that you don't know some of these songs - don't worry, I've never heard most of them, even the Polish ones, but I honestly have to admit that in 2010 and later I stopped following the music market altogether - if I want to listen to something, I prefer to go back to older songs.
"Eldorado" Sanah było świetne
Polish music is very strong. Really shame the language doesnt allow to go out of Poland.
14:04 rap is most popular amongst younger generations (mostly people under 30), they aren't majority when it comes to voting anything on radio...
You should listen Cleo & Donatan "My slowianie" from this list. 6:25 it was from Eurovision contest and whole Europe loved this song. And Sarsa 8:41 !!!
My Słowianie this shit song
@@marcinpiatkowski80The most epic polish Eurovision entry. Every Eurovision fan knows this song. 😂
They were popular because they were played on the radio, it has no bearing on the actual songs people liked.
React to Vixen "Zdrowie Gospodarza"
Here is a song with English subtitles about our unbroken soldiers, also called the cursed soldiers, who fought for us against the soviet government. When the war had already ended for the western Europe and they left us behind the iron curtain. The last unbroken soldier Józef Franczak was killed in 1963. Eighteen years after the war. ua-cam.com/video/qBI0g5ZR1uc/v-deo.html
u should check 1990-2010
Daria Marx is also polish. She has nice songs.
Pierwsze słyszę. Na pewno Daria Zawiałow jest ciekawsza do zapoznania się.
From Polish singers that became popular few years ago you should definately check:
Daria Zawiałow and Sanah, diferent styles, but these 2 i probably value most.
Regards
zależy która stacja, te główne komercyjne na pewno
i think after so many polish videos watched u should know how to say "rz" in Polish like when u read Sylwia Grzeszczak
Although a few songs that were popular among Poles at the time did make it there.
wszystko zależy też od radia
ua-cam.com/video/Q20LFMeJgjA/v-deo.html
Yes, and it's definetly better to get to know this list
Akurat lepiej zeby zoczał zestawienie samych polskich artystów dlatego już zalinkowałem odpowiednią listę
In short, welcome to Poland.
check lady pank and taconafide
hi bro
Dawid Podsiadlo - let you down
Singing in polish u can't be popular abroad i think, even though many polish artists have abilities to be popular outside the country
where is disco polo or rap
from 2019 im cringing badly... competly stopped listening music in radio from 2018 and its horrible imo
Daria Marx (Marcinkowska)
N
a lot of primitive and repetitive music. Instead of art, we have a product from a factory.
