You're writing nonsense. Punk music was very popular in Poland in the second half of the 70s (especially Maanam, Republika) and then in the 80s (a lot of bands) - as a result of the rebellion of the entire society against the decaying communist system and the fact that people were fed up with the Soviet idiocies forced in Poland, and the very strong reaction of young people to the introduction of martial law in 1981 and then the absurd, rotting, decadent communism. But in the 90s punk stopped being popular, with the years of this decade it became niche. On the other hand heavy metal gained a lot, and just, simply, rock. However, at the end of the 90s rock became less popular, and the most popular became various editions of Polish rap and various Polish indie music etc., plus pop.
