- Please enjoy the whole gig....with the exception of final encore number "Seagull". Sadly poor Mick Ralphs suffered a stroke a few days later and we all wish him a speedy recovery.

Paul Rodgers is a legend...one of the best voices in rock; period. He can surely claim the title of "rock star"
Hell yes!
Mr. Rodgers and the late RJDio
Bad Company, til the day I die
Paul Rogers, the great vocalist and he is, from my viewpoint, as a rock lover of over 60 years old ~ is justa sh**y human being, that can't F*N even give kudos to somebody that took over the band when he didn't want anything to do with it. And then totally dissed everything that that member added to the band because it did way more sales than Paul Rogers era Bad Co. ever did! R.I.P. B.H!!!
Si Kirke has to be one of the most solid drummers in history. Bloody awesome gig from start to finish. Bravo.
The excellence of my enjoyment. I’m sitting upcountry on Maui listening to these guys. Perfect. So very gifted. Unique. Pleasurable.
I was at this show!! I am sad that this was the last show with Mick, but I'm grateful to have witnessed it. Would be my first and last time seeing Bad Company. :)
Paul can't stop enjoying himself, rocking hard and delivering well after most can't keep up with him. This is jawdroppingly good.
ldolphin34 He’s had a phenomenal career and keeps getting better and better. I hope 🤞🏻 Bad Company adds a few Midwest dates in 2019 🙏🏻
Paul is a karate black belt who trains regularly even now
Damn Right!
@@hollysmith1636 who is Holly Smith?

Paul Rodgers is a outstanding musician!❤❤❤ Bad company kicks ass!😊
BAD CO for ever sweet!!!
1:11:52 Once again, the greatest rock drummer and maestro on the planet, Mr. Kirke! Conductor at work!
Dick HEAD
@@swinetrek And very proud of it, thank you very much anonymous troll! 🖕
I've always really enjoyed Simon Kirke's drumming. Not just a rock drummer, he's also got a powerful, but laid-back bluesy and even funky touch. Perfect drummer for Free and then Bad Cº.
@@davidbutterfield7718 Agree 100%. When I started playing 30+ years ago someone told me I'd never be as good as Bad Company's drummer, and sadly, that is still true but it sure is fun trying! 😎 He is like Peart, born to play drums. Also a great guitarist, singer, songwriter...damn, I'm jealous!
Neil Peart, amazing talent.
One thing I've always loved about Simon Kirke is, he really hits those things HARD. A real powerhouse, and rock solid! Probably John Bonham liked his drumming, which could have been one of the reasons Bad Cº were signed to Swansong...as is commonly known, NOBODY hit the drums harder than Bonham.
As to being jealous, "healthy envy" is no bad thing...It's great to want to be better and to try to improve all the time, but hey, the important part is actually DOING something! I play the guitar, but not very well. I stick with the "It sure is fun trying" part, lol.
Absolutely incredible the best band of all times
Best Rock n Roll voice ever and since Free those musicians still the originals though they rock and roll carer even when Rodgers are playing with others like Queen Bad Company steel working with another lead vocalist, they just go on... I just love Bad Company and treasure in my heart that I learned to play bass with Can't Get Enough back on the 70's dawn on Tijuana.
Thank you for the video, Phil. As to 'Seagull' I already saw Paul Rodgers singin' it live twice :)
Du vieux rock c'est bon j'adore et vous?😊😊😊rrrrr❤❤❤❤❤
mick looks fresh
I would avoid toxic people if I were you.... the level of stupid is higher than ever.... don't give power to negative comments by responding to them.... just ignoring them is the best thing to do I feel.... BTW Thanks for the great video. well done Philhonley!

i was a teenager growing up in the 70s . Best time of my life rock-on .
It was colossal Robert. I was a musician back then, grabbing everything off the record shelves to take back home and learn all the chops of the greats!!!!!
Totally agree. Best tears of my life 😍
Ya it was. I wish I could go back
I feel so blessed to have been living to enjoy so many great rock bands, especially the 70s and 80s, I could name so many, and grateful to be still listening today and the rest of my life, I 'll always love rock and roll !!!!!!! 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hellz yeah
If I make it into my eighties , I’ll still be listening to Zeppelin, Moodies, BadCo, Beatles and so on. Who do the young people of today have to look forward to listening to in 30 years.we were blessed to be around in the 60’s and 70’s.
BAD COMPANY a teenager dream !!!
I have seen Free at the Albert Hall and the Isle of Wight 1970 as well as Bad Co at Earls Court in the mid seventies. It is hard to believe that Paul sings now better than ever but I promise you he does.
Best as a teenager , Best now. Simply Unbelievable !
Paul's vocal style was better with free he had more soul more grit more rawness with free in the early days while with bad company Paul's voice became more polished

@@littlebird2276
I get your point but why not ?
It's such a classic with an obvious connection to the vocalist!!
Paul Rodgers sounds like he did at age 30. He's looked after himself.
Compare him to Gillan and Coverdale.
Are you talking physically or voice wise. Gillan has had throat surgery as he gave his voice the full bore in his younger days. Recently listened to Coverdale. Sounds okay to me. Apples and Oranges. Rogers is, along with the late James Dewar, the best white blues/rock singer about.
Coverdale looks like a prune, clinging on to a hair style that got him layed a very long time ago
P.R. He is a guy with a lot of art and emotional intelligence, he knew that drugs would not help him where he wanted to go
@@verocarra7972 Your absolutely right about Paul Roger's , I'm glad you posted this comment!
Without regard to the others you mentioned, Paul Rodgers sounds phenomenal. It is amazing how great he sounds.
OMG that voice is just beyond incredible! Just love you Paul!So relaxing to listen to him 💗
Great band great voice Bad Co. forever
Timeless Treasure, no 1 is better than Paul !
Paul Rodgers has the most soulful voice in the music business. He puts his heart and soul and all of his energy into performing every song he sings. He's a beautiful person as well as very handsome. I love this guy!
Shame to mr. EC, he didn t play any song with Mr. PAUL. Not even wonderful tonight....
Always great to see they are still going strong...kirke lives in NY.. Paul Rogers has lived in Canada for over 16 years and is now a Canadian citizen. That's why im glad this concert is in the UK so Mick Ralphs can participate..At this stage in his life he doesn't want to fly abroad to the United states. So this is the perfect venue! Paul Roger's is the absolute best rock and roll vocalist ever to live...you can understand every word he sings..
If memory serves, Ralphs *really* didn't like to fly back in the Mott the Hoople days. It presented some challenges when it came time to tour the US. (I saw them as opening act to the Kinks. They did a cover of the Kink's You Really Got Me. The Kink's reaction to is was "Okay, Mott. We're flattered and you tried hard, but this is how it's *supposed* to sound!" Fine show, from both bands.)
@@dennismccunney4462 I never heard of Mott the Hoople until watching VH1 behind the music Bad Company, my first introduction to Ralph, a tremendous talent.
@@tommeredith7079 I'm an old fart, who began to pay attention to pop music in the 60s, around the time when records were shifting from the 45rpm single to the 11" LP as the product, and FM stereo was replacing AM radio as where you heard the music (AM did not get the ability to broadcast in stereo till well after FM stations became prominent.) And the emphasis in pop music shifted from the singer, performing songs written by professional songwriters (like Gerry Goffin and Carole King), recorded in a studio with pro session musicians playing the music, to *bands*, who wrote and played their own stuff.
Mott got notice in the US with their fifth album, All the Young Dudes. The title track was written by David Bowie. They were on the verge of breaking up when Bowie gave them the song and produced the album. It charted world wide and became a 70's anthem. It was also their firstLP on Columbia Records. Mott's lead singer, rhythm guitarist and keyboard player Ian Hunter released a book called Diary of the Rock and Roll Star about the period with some hilarious stuff in it. Hunter later did solo stuff, and formed a group called the Hunter-Ronson Band with former Bowie lead guitarist Mick Ronson. (Ronson was taken a while back by liver cancer.)

Bad ass forever! Paul Rodgers best voice evver!!!
The GOAT of Rock vocalists!
Why they are not in the hall of fame disgraces the whole idea.....
I ran on stage at madison square garden new york city. around 1971.manager Peter Grant confronts me with there bullys asked if I touch any one or equipment, people around us said no. Mr. Grant said let the lad go.I shook his big hand as he smiled looking down. He look to be 400 plus pounds over 6 feet. I was only 17. Last year Paul rodgers told me he remembers that.
That's a great story, man.

Love this story... Peter Grant was a huge ex-wrestler, but no thug.
I don't believe you saw Bad Company in 1971,reason being they did not form until late 1972early 1973.
Their debut album wasn't released until 1974, and it was the first album on Led Zeppelin's label Swan Song.
You must have done a lot of drugs back then.I was 12 years old in 1974.my best friend and l gave each other albums of BTO-Not Fragile for me,Bad Company for him at Christmas of 1974.
My bucket list consists of seeing Bad Company and A/C D/C AND SKYRND I SAW THEM 5 YEARS AGO IN BLUEFIELD,WV
Its all they have ....old dead almost hits.....At least Brian took them to another level...
This is very exceptional!!

Hey, lovely film. Did you shoot this yourself in 4K?
I did indeed
@@philhonley Good to hear. I also filmed that show, using an HD camcorder with external mic. It came out very very well. I'd be happy to talk about perhaps composing a 2-camera mix of this show, mixing our angles, if you're interested in that? If not, no sweat.

it's howard leese. i couldn't tell with the long hair. thx.
Thanks....Howard Leese (guitar) and Todd Ronning (bass)
Howard Leese, but I dont know why he's wearing a wig. Looks stupid. I saw him at a guitar show in June 2016 and his hair was short. You can't grow hair that fast. Something else is up. Very odd.
Thanks. I like Ronning's style

GREAT!!!!
Crazy Circles - WOW!!!
I hate the stage set that ladder in the middle.
Paul's preference , GOAT needs to be above everyone else . Second place is nowhere to be found 😃 Who can match his longevity ????
muchas gracias, dedicated to mick
raimon821 tsk
I can't be Howard Leese is playing second to the other lead guitarist. Howard has been with Bad Co forever.
The OTHER guitarist??!! Mick Ralphs is THE guitarist for Bad Co. Even Howard would agree.
Huh?
Howard retired from Heart... a couple days later got a call from Paul to join his solo band. He did that for a few years then was asked to join the reformed Bad Company. Mick is too ill to tour so Howard has taken over main guitar. Bad Co will tour as a four piece and sometimes a five piece as they did when Rich Robinson toured with them a few years back.
@@SensoryEdge That's what I thought. Thanks.
HEART'S loss is BAD COMPANIES GAIN , Howard and Ralph's 2 of THE BEST to play guitar!
There just standing like statues.hell i could have been at a bar b q .
It's not Alice copper it's bad co.
Ive seen bad co with paul rodgers and brian howell and i gotta tell brian is a much better singer interacts with the crowd more and his stage presence is world class paul rodgers is good but brian howell is a pure talent flawless vocals high energy and k ows how to get the crowd moving where paul kinda falls flat brian raises the bar his talent comes to light and he shines bad co is my all time fav paul is good brougjt bad co a long ways but brians song writtimg ability his spot on everytime vocals took bad co to places they couldnt go with paul and thats a fact whem brian joined bad co the records sell went thru the roof every ahow was imcredible just a amazing band with brian
I have to say I find this comment ridiculous. We are all entitled to our own opinions but I cannot believe you will gain any support by suggesting anyone is better qualified to provide vocals to Bad Company. Not only is Paul Rodgers the best vocalist for Bad Company but as experienced when he took the Free catalogue on tour with the “Free Spirit” tour, there is nobody alive today who could match his vocals. Beg to differ with your comments strongly as I am sure will everybody else.
His name is Brian Howe not Howell
Brian Howe did not really replace Paul Rodgers in Bad Company but provide vocals for what was essentially a Bad Company tribute band. Correct me if I am wrong but please remind me of the other original members of the band who joined him.
Where free speech falls down is that we have to listen to bullshit like this. you have not got a clue mate. Not one.
Peter Myers thats your opi ion and you are entitled to it but i stand behind what i said and the facts the records sells the sold out concerts all back up what ive said i know the truth hurts but it what it is look at the album sales with brian howe compared to paul rodgers and im sure u will disagree with them facts also bad co stayed on billboard rock charts longer with brian howe than they ever did with paul rodgers but u will agrue against them facts also but the facts are just that facts. Not opinions
