So I just watched my husband put together this project and........ IT WORKED!! It worked like super great actually! I dk why I cant find any comments with anyone else's success stories but this Wi-Fi Booster DIY was very cool and fixed our WiFi problems.. Thank you for ur video!! 💓💓💓
Impossible that antenna can work!!! The working frequency for wifi access is approximately 2.4 ghz, the impedance 50 ohms... The cable used in the video is a cable for battery charger or something like that, not for use in a telecom project, the cable for that antenna that is a RF signal must be a 50 ohms coaxial cable...
It was very difficult to see where you soldered the coax wires to the antenna because you did not show a close-up of the solder joints, or a diagram how they were connected. Can you tell me if the two wires (center conductor and braided shield) are soldered to opposite ends of the wire that forms the bowtie shape? That's what I think you did, but I'm not sure. Thanks very much!
I got more of a headache than anything trying to watch this. The technique is great, but between the commercials and the music, it was the longest 10 minutes of my day! If you want followers, try SPEAKING instead of music and always get to the point, don't give one of those videos where the first 12 minutes or so is about BS!
Can you explain how the measurements/size/shape of the anetta matters? Like why the bow tie? Also what’s the gain with and without the tinfoil plate behind the antenna? Is that solid copper?
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wires you use are common electric wires, and you need proper wires that are isolated those wires you use are modifiying the lenght of the waves
UA-cam is protecting this type of channels 😀 Was that a speaker wire for antenna signal feed ?? Biquad is very interesting and forgiving antenna to try for beginners. But still not that way . You need lot of reading about radio waves .
bad idea, you can't extended thad wire, you have to use coaxial cable to do that, you loose antenna capabilities, isolated signal from wire is the correct way
If it indeed works and boosts the signal, rather than going through all the trouble of gluing paper and aluminum foil together, why not use a piece of aluminum plate? It is cheap and found everywhere.
What are u doing? Hey anyone how do I get Internet without a flipping company, its all dish & century link, people that lived here b4 didn't Pay their bill. So its redflagged. I need WIFI!!! Help!
yea pretty bad instructional video. u dont explain dimentions ect. like what wiring u used ect. one worst ive seen. and the music was so annoying especially since u can still hear ur video too
Please tell how much voltage can we apply and what will be the range of this antina and voltages ?and if we made it where we have to place it from router?
brother it's just antenna and connect to wireless card . RANGE : router is installed on 4th floor and i am using internet on basement.before when i used simple antenna they can catch just 2 bar signal
You didn't mention that the distance between the reflector and the visual element should be 15.5 mm! Biquad was constructed with angles of approximately 90 degrees. It should be exactly 90 degrees.
the best cheap method I know to increase the signal range is to place a half liter water bottle close to the wifi antena or to the router. Water does amplify radio waves, it is scientifical fact.
Fresh water can for sure but it depends on the frequencies. Salt water causes a large range of frequenciesto actually skip over large distances. This is why you see many Ham Radio Operators living on the beach front. They can skip signals far across the world with way less amplified signals.
@John Wyman That definatley is true as well. It's been years since I was up to date on all the specks but I do know that that's how ground waves can travel so far. You can send them skipping across the salty ocean water and communicate well with vessels on the ocean. Then the ground wave's continue flat until they reach (if memory serves me well) the Ionisphere, the they reflect from above down onto another 1\4th of the Earth. The amount of amplified power also helps further that distance as well as Solor flares and Sun Spots. How the later work I don't remember exactley.
what is more of interrest is the coincedental image of a face appearing in the alufolie . (see timeline at 4.47) that is something SF never can copy..coincedence.... any way the other side of wifi ison. if you speed up wifi you also speed up the exact other side of wifi. its your choice....
Also still doesnt get full connection and notice no other wireless networks show up. this is the worst ive seen i think u actually made the antenna worse. also do not hot glue like that just solder like a nonretard. Buy a professional yagi antenna for $30 on amazon instead of wasting ur time with this crap. a yagi antenna attached to cable into ur card will pick a signal up much much further away.
This movie had potential to be brilliant instead of worthless due to the fact there is zero explanation of wtf your doing and what half of the things you were showing us were.
Hat guy monty soomer that comment on this free advise is really common sense. I don't know who showed this video but it's awesome because it works every where I go. 10 stars from me.
He certainly doesn't KNOW very much about Tool Usage & Safety... Ohhhh... AND... I DIDN'T LEARN A SINGLE THING ABOUT INCREASING WiFi SIGNALS EITHER... HUGE WASTE of TIME...
It would be a lot better explaining what you're doing instead of listening to this irritating music.
I hate when they do that too. 🤣
Not music ! Computer generated noise AAAAAAAAAAGH !

I was wondering where MacGyver went....
Lol did you just connect the Positive and Negative wire? ... I think it wont work
Dont do this guys. It might be grounded or in other word short circuit because he connect the two wires into copper wire
That is what i was thinking. 🤔
Even tv antenna cables goes separately to avoid contact and ground your tv circuit.

Dude hot glued it... this is shite
Soldering both wires with that copper structure will result in short circuit in antenna wires, and after some days your adapter will become useless.

Can you explain how the measurements/size/shape of the anetta matters? Like why the bow tie? Also what’s the gain with and without the tinfoil plate behind the antenna? Is that solid copper?
Would a small tv Ariel not work the same
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wires you use are common electric wires, and you need proper wires that are isolated those wires you use are modifiying the lenght of the waves
More interference will occur. Strength up, noise up. I would use coaxial cable.
Please....please, STOP.

Yes brother you are right aluminum plate is better than aluminum foil
1 question: why you soldered "+" and "-" while original antenna had only "+" connected?
Because its a biquad antenna
Should explain one wire on the copper it’s fine the other ?
Enjoy watching hug done

Yes sir I did not mention distance between those thing . 4 feet distance
Okay that seems good but how about on laptop?
Using USB wifi
goood video

Nice use of latex gloves. I presume they're to stop the blood getting all over the floor.
Does listening to electronica music while doing this help as well?
Probably not..
the best cheap method I know to increase the signal range is to place a half liter water bottle close to the wifi antena or to the router. Water does amplify radio waves, it is scientifical fact.
Salt Water = Even Better Reception
the scientific fact is that water absorbs radio signals !!
Fresh water can for sure but it depends on the frequencies. Salt water causes a large range of frequenciesto actually skip over large distances. This is why you see many Ham Radio Operators living on the beach front. They can skip signals far across the world with way less amplified signals.
my understanding is that they skip it off the upper atmosphere depending upon weather conditions.

You can buy a signal booster like this pretty cheap online.

I can't figure out what the thing is that he's started with? Ink pen?
I don't know either, but I'm guessing it's the original antenna from the wireless wifi, and then he's tweaking it to make it stronger.
Whatever it was looked more expensive than the wifi bill
Actually, I think he's using an UwU super glue.
*Uhu
What was the black tubular object you cut up at the start of the video?
A router antenna
Can we connect it in a a phone
No bro
Is there any way to use MOSFETs to increase the wattage?
i have not use but it's possible
he meant 3.8 cm guyz

Will? Or has?
This is not a booster. This is signal capture 😄
Awesome tools that all I got from this vidio
It can damage card because of short circuting..........one wire should be conected to the reflector
No this is a biquad antenna both cables are needed
Thanks 🙏 for information..make try more

thanks you for your video

Enjoying the music while having my tea 😂 🤣
Who can risk to cut wifi anntenn ? (I not :D)
Or you can buy a range extender for 10 bucks loool
u dont need to cut that stick...
Wow, I wish I would have seen this years ago so I could have said how stupid it is back then.
Good , but not too much difference . Still you don’t have good signal
i wish we heard your voice rather than music to understand what your doing more
Get rid of the music bro
Add 1 km copper wire, to get 1000 km coverage..bullshit..
Nice bro!
i'm so clueless it much easier to spend 20dollar of outdoor antenna instead of doing it DIY since i barely had any of those equipment
