That wasn't actually Dawn's voice. They had to have another singer do it because Dawn's Wells was tone deaf. Just like Christopher Knight (Peter Brady) didn't actually sing on any of the Brady Bunch songs either. Even on Time To Change, that wasn't him singing. It's uncanny how close that singer's voice was to Dawn's speaking voice. That's what made it so convincing. Still loved that song and that episode!

I always think the same three things when I watch this. 1. Tina Louise should have recorded a pop album. She had an album of lounge type music, but she could really rock. 2. Dawn Wells can't sing. Her voice here is dubbed by Jackie DeShannon. It doesn't matter though. That might not be her voice, but those are her hips.. 3. Natalie Schaffer's performance is the greatest single moment in musical history.

They could NOT have released it. The Gilligan people didn;t write the 'music". It was first featured in an episode of Perry Mason 2 years earlier and was owned by CBS. So ":The Honeybees" didn;t stand a chance lol

Then Dawn Wells was not singing-someone else was-so that person would also have to be paid. So MAYBE, YES, they could have released it..
