I was watching an old episode of Perry Mason, and the scene was set outside of a nightclub, and you could hear the music in the background. It was just an instrumental, but I thought it sounded very familiar. It was this song! From what I found out, CBS kept a library of music that any of their shows could borrow from without copyright infringement. It was just the two completely different settings that threw me off! LOL

The fact we thought Mrs Howell was a Grammy, yet she is only about 43 in this video.

There just aren't any good shows like this anymore. It's so ridiculous... all these subtle little jokes sprinkled in. I can't stand laugh tracks in modern shows, but in this show it was part of the joke itself.

Anybody know where this awesomeness was filmed? I've seen references to this being filmed at The Depot in Minneapolis, and it LOOKS like it could have been, but I haven't been able to confirm it. If so, it was the first concert under The Depot name. Note that this venue was later named First Avenue - both names paying homage to the fact that the building was originally a Greyhound bus depot, on the corner of First Avenue and 7th Street. There was even a smaller club within the same building on 7th, called, conveniently, 7th Street Entry. For those who are fans of Prince, you should know this place quite well.
