Here's a fun fantasy: "Gunsmoke" essentially led to "Gilligan's" cancellation. Well, imagine if the 4th season of "Gilligan's" HAD been filmed but not aired -- just stored away in a CBS TV vault. One day, a cleaning person, dusting off the shelves in said vault, comes across the 4th season -- and alerts the executives. At that point, the 4th season is put on DVD, and the TV bigwigs announce to the world that the "lost" season is now available for purchase: 25 (or however many) never-before-seen episodes! Yes -- never-before-seen! People, you know how some fanatics will spend an entire night in line (sleep on the sidewalk) as to be able to get into, say, a music concert (like the late-Michael Jackson's or whoever's); well, I'd be willing to do likewise (at Walmart or equivalent) as to be one of the first to get my hands on this treasure! I mean, to be able to enjoy 25 brand-new episodes -- holy Moses, would this be special! PS: I once saw an interview wherein the great Bob Denver said that producer Sherwood Schwartz showed him some of the scripts for the 4th season, the ones never filmed, of course. Denver said that the episodes were "wild." Damn! How I wish they had been filmed! And, pursuant the fantasy above, I'd move like gangbusters to get ahold of a DVD copy!

I think the funniest aspect of Gilligan's Island was the Professor's inventions. The lie detector is too funny just trying to figure out how it really works.
Gilligan's Island is one of the few shows that's laugh our loud funny and is still funny even if you've seen it many times before. Bewitched and Seinfeld are like that too. Most shows like I Dream of Jeanie or Get Smart are kind of funny the first time, but boring if you've seen them before.
It's always interesting to see how they would go a little step beyond, Mary Ann asks Gilligan about the pie, he says it was delicious, and it lights green for truth. Just fun to see, even with the goofs that pop up, how they would go forward in other areas.
I always thought Mary-Ann and Gilligan made a cute couple. Everything she made he ate it without any complaints. Right here just provided how much he loved her cooking.

Great scene/s, I like how depending on the camera angle and shot types, at various times you just see the 'True" bluish-green light come on, no sound, it's just there as a visual effect in it's own right, like at 1:45 and at 2:57, subtle and effective, and of course then the red light and horn 'Lie'!

There is a playlist called "Episodes" and it was created by youtube. It is very misleading so I totally agree with your frustration. No one can download a full episode due to copyright rules. I think the most you can download on a single episode is 5 minutes because I tried to download a longer one and youtube took it down.
UA-cam and Google are a bad place to search for TV and movies. Try Bing vids instead. It's a crappy search engine but its vid search is great. You'll find full episodes, but check the advanced search on at the upper right. Then the options (length, free/paid, etc.) will appear. And no, you won't find full versions of anything on youTube. Other sites will give them, but be advised you'll get ads.
