I could send you my mother in law as she sits in the back telling me what is happing on the road and how close I park near cars . 🤣🤣🤣 hope you cold goes mate and have a good weekend 👍👍👍
Hello Mark, I had a fiesta and the boot kept getting wet, I tracked it down to the screws holding on the rear light cluster. Sorted it and never came back. Ps the spray you were thinking about is called contact spray, cleans the contacts without leaving a residue.
Mark love the way you want to do it all properly must fill your customers with so much confidence 👍 I am sure one of your subscribers will have an answer to the parking sensors, keep going buddy 👍😀
Thanks David appreciate it buddy I don’t like giving up on things that’s why my cars I sell don’t come back but even this problem seams to have beat me 👍👍
Excellent as always mark good luck in finding the fault and also wish you better I’ve just got over a stinking cold treat yourself to a hot 🥵 ruby best regards mark billericay 😃👍
Thanks for the great vid 👍 maybe just me, but think you should of run the mastic all the way down on the back light, when parked water will run down 👍 but when driving the air can push the water all around 😏
The feint light on the parking sensor switch is normal mark, it will fully illuminate when you select reverse. It shouldn’t flash the way your one does, also as mentioned in a previous comment, count the beeps as no doubt that will pinpoint where the issue lies (beep codes) Anyway keep up the good work and have a great weekend.
Mark, on my Jag the front sensors only worked when in reverse, so if the front of the car swung too close to anything the sensors would beep a different tone. Don't know if Ford's are the same. As mentioned in someone else's comment you can hear a quiet clicking if you put your ear to each sensor ( ignition turned on but not starting engine and reverse selected) check the rear first then the front. If any are not clicking they need changing. Might need forscan to code module to car?.
Get well soon, and I sincerely hope that you do. I'm only just getting over a cold myself, and a nasty one it was too! No, but NO energy for days. Hope your ok? Shane. :-)

Hi mate I have one of them green boxes in the boot of my fiesta but it’s snapped at the bottom. Do you know what it’s called and what it controls many thanks tony
You can check the sensors , ignition on in reverse engine off apparently if you put your ear to the sensor you should he it click or make a noise if they do there ok no noise sensor may need changing , don’t know if you can check the front sensors like that , I found this advice on the Ford owners forum ,Good luck and I hope you find the fault soon
I’m not sure if you have to turn the switch “on” for the forward ones ?… Instead of buying a sensor, why not unplug them all (on the back) and try connecting them one at a time, and trying it then. Just keep unplugging and re plugging. It may help ?
You did put a bit of paint on them drill holes before you refitted the rear bumper, didn’t you Mark? Otherwise they will rust like hell down there mate
I had a ford galaxy 2007 the rear parking sensors used to make this noise every now and again, especially when the weather was wet, the moisture was in the sensors, you need to use a multimeter to find the faulty sensor or sensors
I went through the same with the water leak, sealing all the holes, but it still leaked. The seam sealer on these gets brittle with age and flakes off. Did all mine with Tiger Seal and it worked. Ended up being the boot hinges.
Interesting video, as always, id imagine the water ingress has done some other damage to the reverse sensor system somewhere.....you mentioned a few of the places on these Fiesta's where water gets in, but one of the most common places you didn't mention is on the top corner seams of the hatch where the 2 body panels are joined, especially on the older models. I think the constant opening and shutting of the hatch weakens the seam..
Hi Mark , drilling holes in the bodywork of a Ford lol always treat the bare metal other wise you will have metal moth, I take it the passenger wheel locking nut is shagged as you couldn't get the wheel off, that second hand module could be no good too
An easy way to fix the lights if the gasket is weak, put some Vaseline on the car body where the light sits, put a small amount of sealer on the light unit (old) gasket, they are sometimes foam type seals, refit before it dries, it makes the seal but the vaseline stops the unit from sticking, so you can remove it easy, I used Halfords instant gasket (orange stuff) worked a treat on my old mondeo rear lights
I had a similar issue on my old BMW, turned out to be a sensor. As someone else mentioned on here, for the reversing ones you should be able to put your ear to them and hear them clicking when the car is in reverse with the ignition on. Only other thought was is there a sensor near where the wiring was a bit chewed up? If so, maybe a sensor got damaged in a previous accident?
If you want to check if its a sensor issue - Put the car into reverse and put your ear to each one you should hear a clicking sound if they are working properly - If you hear nothing at all then its an issue further back.
Mark have you tried plugging your diagnostic machine in to find the fault, some diagnostic machines can tell you what the fault is and even which parking sensor has failed if it is a sensor
Have you measured the resistance across each sensor with a multi meter, if you get a similar reading across every sensor chances are it's not that. Then test continuity from the main plug to each individual plug to see if there's a break in a wire.
I could be wrong, but I suspect the beep code you get there means something. It could indicate which sensor has failed. One long beep followed by seven short could be pointing at a certain sensor. I work in IT and beep codes give you a good indicator of the problem.
Hi Mark, I had a similar problem on the parking sensors on my Mercedes a few years ago so I bought a decent code scanner and it checked my sensors and told me which were working and which weren’t, would your scanner do the same?
Parking sensors: the owners manual says that a three second sound on engaging reverse indicates a malfunction. The parking sensors are then disabled. It might be you need to plug in you obd software and check for a fault and reset it. I was also whether the replacement ecu actually works.
Love 500 fits a cheap sensor kit when they pack up ,tapped into the reversing light, that should solve the rear , which most people need ,they can live without the front.
I know it's a pain mark but disconnect either from or rear sensors and try and follow the wires on the connected ones ,you don't know if the bump did any damage to it
Paul for cars poole had one and the front lights wouldn't turn on once he reset the module it then decided to switch the front lights on due to it being front end damaged
@@ResurwreckAutosUK your welcome his channel is cars for Paul and he uses forscan software he did a ford st which the indicators weren't working due to bcm being faulty that had been front end damage from copart
Ok quick Googling states that 8 beeps coming from the front parking sensor speakers, indicates that the rear speaker is at fault….. the rear speaker is behind the carpet in the boot where you replaced the module…. Hope this helps.
Sometimes things don't go to plan I am sure you will get it right if you want to take car to auto electrician it may be something he has come across before. 👍👍 .
Turn the ignition on and select reverse (don’t start the engine). Go round the car and put your ear to each sensor. If they’re working you’ll hear a faint clicking
You can live data check the system,it should lead you in the right direction. The bumper loom wires corrode and go green under the insulation it's hard to see, good luck
I had same problem on bmw it was a sensor but it’s easier to change all 8 hard to trace which one is faulty best of luck it took months for me to correct

Mark, on Vw and Audi you can turn off the front and rear sensors on the touch screen, if this can be done on Fords?? this may have happened to stop the noise you had from the faulty rear parking module.
What a pain I would say it has to be a faulty sensor you shoud be able test then put ur meter acros them check if power is reching them then check by putting power through them thats only way test them Phil in stoke
You need a fog it machine it not only decontaminates the car fully if there is leaks the fog escapes helping you see where the water may get in valeters use them to leave the cars smelling fresh specially if it’s been a smokers car
Did you reset the crash data so the body module will start controlling all the instruments within the car it also controls the lights and parking sensors
The parking sensors not working doesn't effect the driveability of the Fiesta so just sell it as is. It'll hardly cause a huge difference in the price. Seeing as how many mashed bumpers that I repair day in day out people don't appear to take any notice of them when they are working 🙄 Keep up the fantastic work mate, looking forward to seeing the Polo rebuild next week 👍
