Last Crusade was the final Indiana Jones film
This is like asking Ronald Mcdonald if a bigmac tastes good.
Copland. One of my favorites I can't wait to see this film on the big screen.
Remember when James Cameron said Terminator 5 was a good movie? How’d that work out?
Dark Fate is one of the worst film's ever made, and the worst Terminator film.
We all know this is going to be a huge dud.
Or remember when the original cast of the Ghostbusters had to make the talk show circuit and act like they enjoyed the 2016 remake?
@@Letsplay222 OH, sure due. They pushed that movie hard, and then it was relegated to the
"Matnee" section of the theater, in only its 2nd week.
He’s a sell out been underwater to long that jerk
I can't think of a single time Steven Spielberg said something negative about another director's movie. He's got real class, or he's easy to please, or he just knows what it's like to be a younger director who get's a negative comment about his work from one of his heroes, and he doesn't want to do that to anyone else.
or he's one of the producers of the movie, you don't shit where you eat.
Well he could hardly could he, he still.produced it.
There is at least one person of whom Steven Speilberg DID have something bad to say: Kathleen Kennedy. She was terrible at her job (taking notes), and her greatest contribution was interrupting creative discussions to offer her own stupid ideas. ua-cam.com/video/f6IHtM6sZeQ/v-deo.html
As Steven himself once said to Shia Lebeouf: "There's a time to be a human and have an opinion, and there's a time to sell cars." Spielberg's doing what he ought to be doing as an EP. That said, I believe he genuinely likes the film. There's zero doubt in my mind that this will be a wonderful cap on the adventures of Indy. . . so much so that I vaguely detect an air of insecurity and ego in his response. From a basic, human perspective, I can only imagine the mixed feelings that come with having another director's success---in a franchise you co-created---compared to your prior (unappreciated) effort by the press. No matter how much of a champion Mr. Spielberg is of other filmmakers, this sort of situation must press on old wounds to some degree. He's certainly been open about his self-consciousness in various interviews over the decades.
@@michaelmorine9430 Word. 😂
I think Spielberg was being diplomatic and polite when he spoke about this movie, given it's reception.
The movie isn’t bad
People just saw too many bad movies for the past couple of years so that may be the reason why few people didn’t enjoy it
@@trexthefossilking299 I havn't seen it to know what I think of it, but what you said is possible. It's also possible that people don't like it for valid reasons, much like as was the case with Crystal Skull. It's also not just people, it's critical scores were not very good either. Also saying its not good comparatively to other movies, isn't exactly the endorsement you perhaps think it is.
@@trexthefossilking299I’ve just seen it I don’t know why it’s getting such a hard time. It’s Indiana Jones and does what it says on the tin. I certainly thought it was better than Temple Of Doom and Crystal Skull. Harrison Ford was great as he always is, Phoebe Waller-Bridge was fantastic as her character. Won’t watch anything that involves Kathleen Kennedy
Well there were enough good movies she was involved in(Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, just to name some of the best), but since the Star Wars sequal Triology i would agree.
it was amazing man. i went and saw it last night. you should give it a shot
Amazing!! Loved it! Long live Indy!!!!!!!
I'll be skipping this one. Time Travel doesn't belong in Indiana Jones. My friend worked on it and he said when it wrapped, Mangold threw up his hands and said, "I have no idea how this is going to turn out." The ending has been reshot multiple times because Kathleen Kennedy wanted to push a female Indy, but thankfully that show has now been cancelled. Plus Kathleen Kennedy's further employment is going to be based on the success of this film, which has risen up to a reported $350mm budget, so I'm not going to support anything she does.
As a Disney takeover, it was 100% like an Indiana Jones film. I don't think it's the best 1, but still good. Thankfully they killed the idea of someone taking over because it wasn't even felt in the movie. The girl in it is basically just another tag along without spoiling anything. Only thing missing for me was a little bit more violence on a certain few characters lol.

This movie has been delayed over a year to do reshoot after reshoot, going $150M over budget. All because Kathleen Kennedy wanted to use time travel to erase Indy from history and insert Fleabag in his place. The fans voiced their outrage at this, and hence all the reshoots. It’s likely to still be pure crap despite Mangold’s efforts. You can only do so much when you have Kathleen “Eye of Sauron” Kennedy and her obsessive feminazi inferiority complex breathing down your creative neck. I hope this movie bombs so Bob Iger will finally fire her as promised.
This comment is teeming with Incel indicators. Stop blaming women for your virginhood, dweeb. Blame your parents.

KK said that this move contains a "strong female character" and that makes me wonder if the true hero is the dude for which the movie is named after...
Indiana jones was a part of my childhood.
If I have learned anything from Disney, they RUIN childhood remakes.
I really liked Dial of Destiny. Just plain fun and entertaining. I guess critics have to bash but just so many garbage films out there and Dial is not one of them.
I hate it when known directors like james wan, sam raimi, and steven spielberg go down to producer roles... the quality shows.
Producer roles are important but theyre more like business and corporate roles than actually take part in the artistry of filmmaking.
The evil dead rises proved me wrong, but still wished sam raimi actually directed it. Or else it just wouldnt be the same.
Bro... JAMES FUCKING MANGOLD is directing Indy 5... It's not like they got some random-ass dude to direct it, lol.
I'm agree 100%
@@b.u.l.1734 thank you omfg people have such misplaced pessimism before the movie is even released a bit of an open mind goes a long way 🤷🏼 not that hard is it?
Spielberg-produced movies are usually pretty good and he is often heavily involved in the making of the film, and directors have claimed he odes a great job as a producer. So, it's fair to say he has a bigger role than just organizing everything.
I think the one person I wouldn't have interviewed in advance about this film is Steven Spielberg. It put him in an impossible position. Interview him after the film has left cinemas and you'll then get a reasoned (and fuller) response.
The interviewer had Spielberg on a podium in front of an audience, of course he was going to ask about the new film. It’s what attracts viewers/readers. This very video you’re commenting on is proof of that.
If you wouldn’t have asked that question then you would be a bad interviewer.
They have delayed this movie for over a year now because the early test audiences absolutely hated it, especially the original ending where they killed Indy and Fleabag took his hat and became the new Indy. But they also did not like all of the scenes where Fleabag insulted Indy and was made to look better than him in his own field of expertise. From what I have seen and read, there have been extensive re-shoots and re-edits of the script, toning down the insults, making Indy the hero again (in a movie about HIM), and re-shooting the ending so Indy survives, saves Fleabag, and rides off into the the retirement sunset.
If they kill Indy and let that woman have his fedora, they can kiss away any meaningful profits and will be lambasted by the fans!
Man, those are soo fake. Everyone has debunked it lol. You still believing this shit.
Also she isn't called Fleabag.
Still sounds like its going ti be shite
Yeah, they absolutely test screened this movie.
That's what we get when the studio and the creators decide to make another Indy movie just because they can. It doesn't matter to them if it's an inferior product. It only matters if it makes money.
@@har9020 Ford should be ashamed of himself since he loves the character so much to let him be degraded by a smart annoying non talented bitch
This film is a predictable woke-bust.
It's not a good sign that Spielberg looks directly at the ground when he says it's good. 😮
He touching his face when he refers to the movie is a classic tell of disfranchisement
Dial of Destiny is great. My screening ended with an ovation.
Disney is gonna ruin it… after what they did with Luke, I’m half tempted to just pretend it doesn’t exist.
I hear they are treating Indiana better.
I have no intention of seeing it. For me, the original trilogy is enough.
Luke died a hero. You are upset about that?
@@NeoConnor1 I can't really blame fans for for being unhappy to what they did to Luke Skywalker. He had no happy ending! The character was basically turned into a miserable character only to die after his brief appearance.
@@NeoConnor1 Luke died unnecessarily after collapsing his entire character from the original trilogy, in a stupid way, all so that Egghead Johnson could go "HA! Tricked you!". What a dumpster fire that movie is.
TBH the movie itself as a whole was good. I went to see it on the big screen and it was like re living the childhood raiders. It was a decent ending for our old indy.
Спилберг это псевдо режиссёр в Голливуде, который не умеет делать кино. Он не делал свои фильмы, а использовал профессионалов, которые за него создали все его фильмы. Спилберг это не режиссер, а мошенник.
Mangold isn't that impressive. Spielberg is great not perfect. Ford was too damn old for this hyper video game overly CGI disaster.
I don't believe him of course when he says it's a good film, because it's not, except for a few scenes here and there.
I won't be seeing simply because I want Disney to fail on this so Iger has to live up to his promise and fire Kathleen Kennedy.
Well I'm boycotting the whole film. I live in the NE of England and last summer Ford was here filming. A group of fans asked for autographs and he told them to F*** off. He is a nasty person. These big film stars should remember it's the fans who keep them in work. He then flew to London and after his "advisers" spoke with him was shown laughing and getting his photo taken with fans. He needs to issue an apology.
This was somehow worse than the previous one. It was an abomination and an outright attack on the character of Indiana Jones.
I don't trust KK, or Disney ... will wait until after the first two weekends and read the reviews BEFORE I consider even acknowledging its existance on my collector's shelf. I have already quit any and all Marvel movies since Endgame. and I knew better to follow Star Wars once Disney got it ...
Just had to kill off Indy. WOKE goes BROKE every time.
If Ford’s going to do IJ one last time then maybe I should go see it, one last time.
I think the biggest gripe most have, is the thought of replacing IJ with a female character. That would be like replacing Virginia Wolf with a male character.
It seems the entertainment business ‘has it in’ for every white male icon there’s ever been. Replacing them with someone of another gender, or skin colour. This has to stop, or the entertainment business will ‘eat itself alive.’
It's not in the same league of shit new installments like Star Wars sequels, so that's good.
Nevertheless, it's still by far the weakest movie of the series. But that was expected.
Perfectly? Just wait for tomorrow box office number. Saw it last night, it is the most forgettable IJ film of the series.
This movie will be hot garbage, I predict Indy will die and the girl will take over the hat after being insufferable.
it bashes capitalism during the height of the moon landing apparently, from what I've seen in a couple trailers now. this is after indiana fought the communists in the last film, so it doesn't make much sense to include that line from that actress playing helena shaw.
Of course he would be nice, and he regretted parts of Crystal Skull.
As long as it's not worse than the abomination that was KoTCS, I'm all for it.
I love Indiana Jones but I hope this movie flops. And then Disney can get rid of Kathleen Kennedy and her agenda.
The movie was fantastic

What would anybody expect Spielberg to say? Look how he's fidgeting with his beard, kinda covering up his mouth. I hope I'm wrong.
I'm affraid that it's a woke disaster and this will tarnish any life that the franchise had left in it, and that's really sad. Harrison deserved and the fans deserved something more along the lines of Raiders. Some way to bring it full circle without pushing this woke bs. Men wanted to be Indy and women wanted to be with him. In this day it's considered toxic to have a masculine hero and that will be this movies epic downfall at the tune of nearly a billion dollar investment that if they are lucky...will break even years from now.
Yup, woke garbage, and a huge flop

What do I think ? Unfortunately if Disney has any part in this then I can’t trust that it will be without any agenda pushing or even a good movie sadly. I've been a big fan of the "Indiana Jones" franchise since I was a kid and I usually like to formulate my own opinions of a film rather than be swayed by opinions of others. I have high hopes for this one and I hope that it's a step up from the last one. 😎👍
You're going to be REALLY REALLY disappointed. There I just saved you a bunch of money. Also Crystal Skull was better than The Last Crusade which is just another repeat of the Nazi storyline.
@@The_Space_Born no it's not
I just re-watched the last crusade, that's really bad, not only the special effects but also the movie mistakes, when "senior" destroys the plane's tail with the machine gun, the tail looks different on the next plan then back to original in the next one.
when the tank falls from the cliff, the turret detach from the hull and there is no access to the turret from the inside of the tank,it's solid steel or whatever the model is made from, which is kind of right because the added a fake turret to a Mk.4 "Tadpole" tank from ww1(that didn't have one).
Also, "the bridge of faith" moving all over the place under Indy's feet (I noticed that the first time I watched the movie), that's really bad, like a B type movie made in a garage.
They just botched it because they knew that people would go to see it anyway, "no need to waste money to do it right" and that's too bad because the story was good, even if the crystal skull was not great. it still was 10 times better made than the last crusade.
I will remain a fan of the "Raiders of the lost Ark" that was excellent
Don't let anyone ever tell you that the movie you're about to watch is crap. Remember , that's just their opinion . It's the same as you letting them think for you . Have your own opinion on things . Never trust critics , because if you once again you're letting them think for you . And just because it didn't score alot of $$ at the box office also doesn't mean it's crap. There are many movies that when they're out are bad , but turn out to be Cult Classics .
You gotta admit that Jams Mangold filmography is impecable and not only that, he seems to have talent to honor long coming characters into their final adventure (i.e. Logan). He was the right pick, I'm confident.

There is also a scene where Indy is on a horse at the parade and his face is sooooooooooo CGI it's laughable. I think we are in an era where studios have too many options to cut corners with special effects and some of that is happening in Dial of Destiny like when the bad guys fall through the floor in the first trailer and there is a giant explosion, like the explosion is way to big just like in KOTCS at the beginning when the jeep breaks through the warehouse and there is another HUGE explosion when it should have just been splintered wood. For who thinks Spielberg's endorsement means the movie is good and definitely not yet another WOKE propaganda, destroying in the process the franchise it uses as a vehicle, please remember James Cameron, producer and writer of Terminator Dark Fate, the worst WOKE movie ever, so bad it became the box-office bomb of 2019 and killed for good the Terminator franchise (hopefully, dial of destiny will meet a similar Dark Fate): "This is the true sequel to Terminator 2. We take our beloved characters where we left them and carry them forward" (proceeds to kill John Connor at the opening scene and replace him with a Mexican girl). Or James Cameron saying "You will love Terminator Genisys".
