When the Jones Family inherited the Remington Estate from Hannah's cousins, they imagined a beautiful vista and the quaint little town. They didn't imagine that they would be seeing specters! Can they find a way to restore the restless ghosts?
This was a really fun episode to make. I wasn't familiar with the entire mystery of the Remington Ghosts, but it is certainly fascinating! The Sims 3 has the best lore out of the entire series, don't you think?

I always thought the children died first, Eileen stopped eating because of grief, while Jasper spiralled into insanity building the mansion. Cody and Kristen died first and second, Eileen died third, and Jasper died last, it’s why his urn is just on the ground, and everyone else is buried in the back garden.

This is the best theory I've seen regarding this family - makes total sense.
@@PleasantSims I heard about another theory about children. If the family is resurrected, then both children will be in a positive relationship with their parents. But between themselves, Cody and Kirsten seem to know each other for the first time. It seems to me that one of the children died before the birth of another sibling. Or Kirsten was a toddler when Cody died and he didn't have time to take care of her. And then later Kirsten fell into the river and Eileen could not forgive herself for not keeping eye of daughter

Personally I think the girls died first because their graves are in the perfect little tidy spot, wouldn’t makes sense for them to bury the son off to the side when they could’ve done it next to his sister. But the father being the last one left wanted the grave next to the rest so he put him there, but off to the side because it wasn’t planned.
To be honest, when I was a kid, I imagined Cody died first: Why? Because his grave looked to me as the oldest, and is half-hidden between bushes and in my mind that indicated the grave was the oldest. I always thought he died when the house was being built, and his death influenced his father descend into madness (Jasper has "crazy" trait) and his mother grief. Kirsten would follow soon after, dying along Lydia when Lydias car fell to the river, both drowning (There is a car sinked in the river next to one of the bridges, thats where I made that conclusion). Then Eileen would pass away due refusing to eat any food due their children death and Jasper would sink into madness, obsessed with making a "ideal house" for his dead children and wife, not realizing the house floorplan was not making any sense at all, reflecting his mental state. He buried his family in the house, obsessed they had to be "at home" and he would die electrocuted in the tower he made for him and his wife, trying to fix the tv.
Also, I dont know if this is a bug or not, but in my game Eileen changed every night of weight: One day was chubby, other day was skinny, and so on.

I thought of this as well. Omg.......I forgot about the car in the river. I just thought that Kirsten drowned will swimming and her aunt died will trying to save her

I don’t understand how in the sims 3 they made like 500 premade homes and family’s and the majority had personality and stories and lore and the sims 4 had like 8 families in the base game with none of it 🤦

My theory:
Jasper tried to fix the tv, and tv caught into fires, Cody came to try and put the fire down, and Kirsten to "help" her brother, caught the fire and ran into the pool and drowned, Cody burned to death because he got surrounded in fire while trying to extinguish around the TV. I also would like to add that maybe Lydia drowned trying to "save" Kirsten. And at the end, as only living family member, Eileen died of starvation and grief for her husband and children.

I find the story of the Winchester mansion fascinating, it makes my mind crazy to think that this is not fiction but a real place 🤯

I really love how there's a whole suite of secret rooms in the middle of the house, and how it's crossed by the bridge between the dining room and kitchen, and the wallpapered windows in the dining room. This house is so huge and quirky and awesome. I love building houses like this in The Sims (I do try to keep them bearable to play though)
Personally I like to think some huge tragedy, through the grief or anger of the original victims, made the house an entity of its own, trapping unsuspecting Sims, always hungry for more. The House is an amalgamation of the ghosts who lost themselves to their grief over the years. And as Sims die, more rooms get built.

I just realized my theory doesn't make sense because the house was built by their uncle. Still like this concept though. Definetly will use it to make a family/house someday

I love Riverview and it's such a good world in the Sims. I love the lore and wish someone (more talented than I) could recreate it in the Sims 2. I would love to play with the Broke family before Brandi came along. I also love ghosts! I don't play supernaturals usually however ghosts I love because I personally believe in them and love to see my Sims ancestors.

Speaking of creepy Sims mansions haunted by dead family members, you don't have to of course but there's quite a bit of theorising and speculation on the Tricou family/House of Fallen Trees in Downtown as well as the teen downtownie descendants of Jon Smith Tricou, so I'd be curious to hear your take on all of that
I learned something new today. I didn't know that about the Haunted Mansion in Disney world. Also, I would love to see how a player gives this house a makeover.

This weird house is the perfect excuse for the Sims team to make houses.
They're basically all like that anyways, at least this one they have an excuse lol
I'm high and felt like sharing my high thoughts.
When I was a kid me and my dad played The Sims 2 a lot together. He was always very sick and he liked making our family and playing through the parts of our lives that he would miss. Those were the most wholesome memories of him that I had. He died when I turned 11.
Anyways that's a lot of sad backstory to say he was a bastard who, when the Sims 3 came out, told me that the cheats from Sims 2 didn't work. When I figured it out and asked why he lied he said "I dont know, just wanted to see if you'd believe me."

I figured the little girl died from going swimming while too tired (because sims do that way too often), Cody tried to cook with no cooking skill, ruining the kitchen and dying in the fire and Mom died because the kitchen was not operational just long enough for her to starve. Jasper died last while fixing the tv and I see no evidence of fire so he must have cleaned up and replaced the kitchen after his wife and son died, before his own demise. All the theories sound plausible, though. I love these lore videos!

These Sims 3 stories makes me wanna play the premade families so much! I'm familiar with the Winchester house story and I would've never thought one of The Sims families would be inspired by it. I don't know anything about the other sims. Anything. If I imagine how many families there are... that's quite a lot of lore I'm missing.

When I had only the base game for the Sims 3, I made Sunset Valley a ghost town, when I learned you can make ghost babies 😂

I have a few things to address while I'm paused at almost 4 minutes in.. I'm really happy you were sponsored and that browser definitely looks interesting! Didn't know it existed! Something else though, I'm photosensitive because of my epilepsy and that sudden switch to light mode had me wincing already but the black and white start showing the house really needed an epilepsy warning. I scrolled down and only had a tiny line showing to know when it ended. Not mad at all, if something like that doesn't bother you you probably wouldn't even realise. But just in case you want to use something like that again (which is really cool and sets the mood!) maybe use a different way to edit. Love you Cindy!!

Even scarier is that if u work as a ghost hunter and banishes the spirits in that house, the Remington ghosts are still there. 😂
What if the teen was trying to get cooking skill up with mom. He caught food on fire and died. The mom was so sad about how she watched her son die. She locked herself in room and starved to death. Left the dad to take care of house alone. Daughter drowned unattended. Dad died trying to fix tv.

I think the family is either cursed or that the kids died before their parents. Maybe the kids died in accidents (or "accidents") and then the father died and then the mother died last due t to the grief of losing all her family.

Also, great choice on ad. I love Opera as a browser, it's fast it has so many useful features and doesn't eat the ram like chrome does. You'll do your computer good if you switch to opera I don't even have chrome installed in my computers or phones anymore. I haven't tried the GX though, I should give that a go.

I loved this video! I have played this family and completely renovated the masion....making it even more spooky!!!
I think the theory that makes the most since is that Jasper started a fire when he died from electrocution, then his son was incinerated and his daughter jumped in the pool to put her hair out. I think his wife starved because she was stuck is some weird portion of the house and couldn’t escape due to the funky layout or I think she survived the fire and starved from grief.

I think that Jasper died of electrocution fixing the TV. The broken TV caught fire and spread, killing Cody. Kirsten caught fire and jumped in the pool to put it out and drowned by accident. The grief of losing her family was too much for Eileen, so she locked herself away and starved to death.

I personally think it went like this, Jasper electrocuted himself and died, that started a fire that killed his son. Eileen starved herself with grief, which left Kristen all alone. Kristen went to live with her aunt and cousin who went to a pool or something and they drowned
