The fact that they released a survey questioning what packs do the community want in the future and Star Wars was part of the poll and got the lowest amount of votes yet they released Journey to Batuu like weeks after is so insane LOL
And even then they could have saved face IF THE PACK WASN'T JUST A SEPARATE NEIGHBORHOOD THAT DISABLED MANY OF THE SIM-THINGS. So, nope, forget trying to play out that Star Was Fanfic idea you had, Disney said NO.
The only way I could see the star wars pact working was if it actually added new alien genetics to the game. Like all the aliens are just costumes. What if your sim could have a child with a star wars alien and it came out half alien half human sim? Like the opportunity was right there!
@@mikef55 Wasn't this amidst the second nadir of Star Wars, when series popularity was at an all time low again? I mean, I don't know, because I kept to the matter of the original trilogy. And I intend to keep it that way.
I don't think the Sims 5 will ever be released. EA doesn't have a good track record of supporting games for super long, especially the ones they published more recently. The fact that they have not tried to make a new Sims game in the last 9 YEARS while SimCity 2013 (RIP SimCity series) is no longer maintained/supported should really say something. It is kind of like GTA 5 in this regard, but made and maintained by a far worse company. I think they would probably support Sims 4 to maybe around 2025 or 2026 and then cut their losses after they milked the game to death
Not to mention the way they deal with competition is by either running them out of the market (Madden series) or just giving up entirely (NBA Live and SimCity)
My theory for gatherings like weddings in the Sims is that each lot has a max total of collective brain cells. The more Sims involved in a thing, the thinner the brain cells are spread between them.
This is funny but i genuinely think your onto something. Considering how it was made and its weird mechanics. Its actually very possible the game was not designed to function with that many npcs on one lot. The game was created with player control in mind and focused way less on npc behavior than other games in the franchise. This is why getting sims that arnt in your household to do anything is a chore at any event. The game just was not designed with with that element in mind so the more it has to actually work to make multiple npcs do something, the game just breaks.
Honestly, sometimes I get defensive about TS4, but then I realise, I'm playing a copy that I got illegitimately, with all the DLC, with too many mods to count. At this point I'm not playing TS4, I'm playing what the community has made of it. Thanks, sims community!
@@pulcokiwi Sharing links like that isn't allowed on UA-cam, but I can at least tell you that Reddit has a community called r/Piracy and they have a well-maintained megathread. I claim no association with them or their practices, and I'm not endorsing the use of any links they share. Do with that as you will.
Yep, I maintain that mods should be extras for the game, not a requirement for enjoyment. But I just get told that the main "feature" is the Sims is visual storytelling. Like if that is the case the TS4 has failed miserably, because whatever "storytelling" is in the game is at bare minimum implied or only visual in nature through CaS or B/B not through gameplay or interaction.
@@IssyMomentTTVThank you for sharing this information so that we can all know to stay far away from such a terrible, anti-corporation community. I, for one, would never go to the mentioned forum post and follow its directions to install a free enhanced product because I love obeying the law and giving my money to EA with gratitude.
The thing I hate the most is that EA strips away all the previous game features to sell them back again as Expansion Packs, in full game price. They can't keep getting away with that.
Launching a new Sims game with the bare bones does sound like a rip-off, but you can't convince me that launching without burglars or ghosts from the start is a Bad Thing. Imagine watching a burglar enter your house and shrinking your hard-earned TV in to a bag with a simoleon on it. Also, why do those DLC title parts remind me of 'Mistletoe' by Justin Bieber?
@JQ89 It's bad because it takes the unpredictability out of the game. It's a life simulator. Life can be unpredictable, hence the burglars and ghosts and craziness. I'd say it's a bad thing to leave out something so basic when it was included the previous games
exactly, i'm a huge fan of the game, but i hate that things like seasons and pets are things you have to buy, i feel like those are basic things, like if exotic pets cost extra that'd be one thing, but cats and dogs feel reasonable to have in base game...and it'd be forgivable if they weren't all so expensive, they're like 40$ each, you could get multiple games off steam for that much it's a free game, i get that, but really only in theory, since getting an expansion pack, if not multiple, is seen as an expectation...it's not mandatory, obviously, but they seem to just give us just the bare minimum of what they think will keep people interested, with the hopes they'll buy the rest of the expansion packs
@jasperjazzie It's free now, but when it first came out, the base game was $60 so it now being free is even more of a slap in the face for those who pre-ordered & bought it at full price only to be sold back removed parts of the game that should have been there to begin with for $20 to $40 a pop. Since Izzzyzzz pre-ordered she also paid $60 for an extremely incomplete game.
My wife introduced me to the Sims 4 by making a character of me in her household. I picked "clumsy" and "good natured" as traits, and promptly had a heart attack on the treadmill. My sim would fall due to clumsiness, laugh due to being good natured, and would be in good spirits to continue running- this looped until my sim was in hysterics, on a treadmill, and his heart gave out.
Lol. This reminds me of when I made my sim something like overly emotional, and she got so angry she dropped dead. I guess she just exploded lmfao, that was such an intense experience. I had to go to a save from a sim-week before to save her life. Never using that trait again 😂
It was the colour wheel for me. Having the freedom to change sims hair to three separate colours if I wanted to, and making every wood the exact same colour when decorating was brilliant! To then go to the sims 4 where you can’t customise was infuriating! There are objects in buy mode that I absolutely love, but the colour options and combinations are horrible, and so I never use them. It’s a shame. To THEN give us the colour wheel but JUST for pets almost felt like a slap in the face. I’ll never forgive taking the colour wheel away .
They didn’t just do it for pets , werewolves have their own colour wheel 😂😂 but I don’t like the sims 4 colours more so the older hairstyle colours like the black wasn’t black it was black-blue and their golden blonde never was golden blonde it was mustard yellow . also their unnatural colours look a little off too . I mean the pets can literally have heterchromia eyes
@@KASPlaysSims Black is never truly black. They always have some kind of undertone because true black is hard to actually make look good. Black-Blue is the most common.
My favorite was the excuse for no color wheel being performance. As someone who knows quite a bit about how game development actually works, i can tell you that changing the color of an object is quite literally one of the easiest things your GPU can do. The way they did it, using unique textures for each swatch, is actually less performant since you need to stream in and out those textures, and store them in memory especially if you have multiple objects with different swatches. This was simply done out of either laziness or simply to save server resources on the multiplayer game. (I dont know how it can be lazyness though, its actually about 2 lines of shader code). Its only (slightly) less efficient for networking, since instead of sending 4 color values, youre just sending which swatch number youre using. This is absolutely the reason.
The thing that annoyed me was that after stating that they added a color wheel for animal's fur. You can even paint on them whatever you want. And yet my sim cannot have pastel pink hair and emerald eyes or have clothes and furniture in any color I want. Ridiculous
I'm guessing a time thing. It's much faster to recolor a texture in photoshop than make a coloring system in game. Each material needs a mask texture for the different parts that need to change colors and that could potential take a lot of time to make all those. I mean they have the resources, they should have done it, but that would be my guess in why they cheeped out on it.
@@Mctittles it was actually because sims 4 was originally meant to be online only. Think the mobile game that looks the exact same, but on PC. So colour palettes were hard coded in, because they intended to sell swatches. Since they just changed it into a single player game last minute, they couldn't switch back to a colour wheel. Why they don't do the HUE bar on everything we have now, beats me tho.
nerd talk, but Sims 3 did have separate textures for different parts of the mesh as well, and if anything, it had up to 4 of them, which would facilitate the need for separate draw calls or passing auxiliary attributes to distinguish which polygons used which textures or dynamic texture atlasing and uv assignments, which is likely how it's done if i would guess. uniform color is cheap, but multiplication is still per fragment and is more, compared to baked textures, unless the swapping overhead/inability to batch overweights it. I actually have no idea how they managed to pull off so many active textures at the same time without tanking the performance to the ground in both games, they seem to only require Direct3D 9, which is insanely old and limiting. would like somebody to poke them with renderdoc to know it all lol
The concept art for the Grim Reaper is KILLING ME knowing we could’ve had an interesting and unique twist on him rather than a basic Grim Reaper design
i had a wedding last week in my game with wedding stories and all of the guests decided to sit in the middle of the aisle, my sim couldn't even walk down and then I realized the groom had somehow left the lot....was holding back tears my wedding was ruined man
Reaaaal if their coding is so difficult that they can’t bring sims to actually follow basic orders they should just bring back cut scenes like on the sims 2? Like how come it’s so hard? 😭
The EXACT same thing happened to me for my sim’s wedding as well guests kept sitting in the middle of the aisle and the groom left the lot as well,I took so much time getting this wedding ready and was so pissed it didn’t work I stopped the ceremony went to make my sims get married without a gathering made them divorce right after kicked the "Husband" out and frantically tried to kill him by drowning him in one of the pool I had placed in what was supposed to be their wedding venue and let me tell you I never felt so liberated by killing a sim before,I then made my other sim get a job as a marine biologist and since she had a prestigious degree she moved into a huge mansion in Sulani as the independent boss b** she is
I remember thinking “wow, the emotions changing rapidly in this game is so realistic!” because I could relate to even the smallest things changing my mood entirely. Years later, I’ve been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. Yup.
You forgot the incident at the high school years pack! In short, an updated relationships feature resulted in some inappropriate relationship between adults and children.
As someone who finally picked up the Sims 4 because it went free-to-play, I'm glad the base game is free nowadays. It makes pirating all the expansion packs and DLC content so much simpler.
Also, to add to the list of drama: -Bust the Dust was ironically busted as hell. Dust spawned too quickly, the aspirations were broken, dust bunnies brought back insanely expensive items and constantly added money to your family. Also refer to the general packs point below -The NAPs were also broken where you could have every action plan active at once regardless of voting -The cakes in Wedding Stories spoiled because they were essentially kept in an inventory until the wedding. -The social menu is absolutely ridiculously bloated with interactions like Ask If Mermaid that are essentially useless -The packs all included mood buffs that overpowered any other moodlet and often were inconsequential things (e.g.the floor being clean) -Skintones in the update were extremely broken as mentioned and are still very broken. The cool and neutral skintones would often produce kids with warm skintones or would be outside the parents shade range. -In the NEW expac, the losing a tooth moodlet/function would make sims faces change when they age up by making the nose a lot smaller and move it up the face til they look like the Whovillians
And then LGR stopped covering it because he was getting bored and he didn’t want to become just a Sims 4 channel. Now he rarely makes content for that game….and for good reason.
"The cakes in Wedding Stories spoiled because they were essentially kept in an inventory until the wedding." That reminded me of FakeGamerGirl ranting about the wedding cake rotting! 😆
I had to have one of my sims make the wedding cake, because the father gen 1 is a celebrity chef. So everything they ate was excellent quality, and they all have very high cooking and gourmet skills. Then I got the pack where it introduced fame, and they all have the picky taste quirk….so yeah. Restaurants, food stalls, any random food isn’t a pleasant experience for anyone. And I’m in gen 3 🥲🥲
"The social menu is absolutely ridiculously bloated with interactions like Ask If Mermaid that are essentially useless" omg this! Like many others who have a lot of hours on Sims 4 I'm familiar with 99% of the social menu and it still kills me how much you have to click through it to find the specific interaction I want for the situation 😵 the fears update also drove me insane with how hard it is to find the specific interactions that will help solve fears when they're buried in 5 layers of nonsense with 50 different interactions available at any given time.

When I was very new to Sims 4 I accidentally bought the My First Pets pack instead of the Cats and Dogs pack. Instead of spending $40 to get cats and dogs I accidentally spent $60 to get cats, dogs and hamsters. That was a rough day.
Just remember that when Sims 5 rolls around as, if it's always online or mmo-esque, there will be no custom content as everyone you play with will have to have the same exact content installed in order to see or use them and EA will just want you to buy their macrotransactions instead.
i've been playing the sims 4 since i think 2017 and just discovered mods this year, it's almost like a new game with the mods and i've been having so much fun
Maybe I never explored it enough, but the vacations from Sims 3 to Sims 4 was a left down. In 3, I went to Egypt, and there was a TON of stuff to do. In Sims 4, I went camping and ... Sat by a fire.
I actually thought vacations were best in Sims 2. Sims 3 WA were beautiful locations and plenty to do but you could really only focus on one Sim, the rest just sat at the hotel the whole time (or base camp). Also, the visa thing was unneccessary and annoying
@@colinvanblaricom6573 In my opinion going on vacation in sims 2 bon voyage is extremly tiring, if you want to go to another lot you have all those loading screens and in my opinion there isn’t much to do.

Hi, I’m a user who started playing TS4 after it became free! I liked the base game a lot for the first couple months, enjoying the autonomy of my Sims and their goofy lifestyle more than anything. I had not grown up playing other Sims games and was quite impressed with it at first. I was introduced to the cracks for the game through my sister, which made me wonder what made the DLC good enough to pirate. I was big into custom content and that tied me over until they released Growing Together, which made me realize just how expensive the DLC packs were. I’ve since purchased both Growing Together and the horse pack, and I do regret it because of how broken and disappointing they are. Growing Together’s brand new milestones and some life features were broken right off the bat, causing some young sims to be unable to progress in development and some to completely change appearance after a loose tooth falls out. It really feels like EA is a money hungry company at this point
Hey, I would recommend playing the Sims 3 if you're interested. It's widely regarded as the best Sims game from what I heard due to the open world although Sims 2 is also really beloved. Out of the main games I only played the Sims 3 and watched videos from the Sims 4 and I can tell you that Sims 4 is really watered down in comparison to the Sims 3, can't say anything about the other games tho
So I actually worked on Sims 4 as QA for about a year. This was around when Restaurants, Apartments/City life, and Pets were being worked on(though Pets was a secret even in the team at this point, very early in dev). If your restaurant works because the chef basically turns into a piece of the furniture rather than being an actual Sim, hey, that was me, I found the bug that made that necessary. Anyway, we got to meet the devs at one point, two of them came to talk to us at where we worked. They got a bunch of us in a room and we'd get to talk to them in small groups. When we got in there(maybe halfway through the line, we had over a hundred staff), they just looked _tired_. We talked a bit, and a question came up about the engine. We'd known for a while that they had been forced to use a new engine for Sims 4(which is where most of the massive problems with the game actually originate from) rather than iterate on the one that they'd been using so well for Sims 3. And one of the devs sat up like he was going to answer, but their 'company representative' who was with them just snapped over to look at him, and he slowly settled back down again while the other dev simply said 'We thought it was a good idea'. Never felt more sorry for someone.
that last part doesn't surprise me. i've always suspected it's EA that's responsible for this, not the sims team. members of the team seem to genuinely want to make a fun game, but EA has a stranglehold on them; unless something is the option that produces the most money the fastest, regardless of how awful it is for the players, it Must Be Done.
@MentalMaladies honestly when a game fails like this it's 100% of the time on the publisher. Developers don't want to make a horrible experience. They aren't in control of how it's monetized but still expected to make the content. Sometimes with crunch hours.
Sounds like an unpleasant work environment. I get that EA wouldn't want devs to speak openly about the challenges of the development, lest it be taken as a PR statement, but when one can't even speak freely WITHIN the company? What's up with that?
So in short, EA as a company is a disaster to work for. What else is new. My partner, who is a programmer for a major EU company, says the same thing. Higher ups think they know better and force everybody to use methods that are impractical, cause more work and stress, or are just downright moronic. Some aspects seem so modern, yet in other ways their ways, views and opinions are outdated or mediocre at best. He says so many amazing and talented individuals aren't allowed to grow or flourish, their talents going to waste for years. Many of his coworkers ended up leaving for better and bigger things that won't restrain them anymore, and he's going to do the same in a few months. Mini rant over lol, companies need to realize the knowledge and ideas of those "lower" are generally the freshest ones. Expand the team, pull members from all sorts of different levels, ages, skills and talents to avoid bias. That's what a successful company is in my books.
Unrelated but as a 3rd world country QA, I'm very impressed by your curriculum! Gives me hope to someday become a game tester, that's such a nice acheivement. I hope you're still working in amazing projects such as the sims and reinforcing the importance of quality 🥰
Something else about the Batuu pack that didn't get mentioned is that they had been sending out a lot of polls to the community at that time asking for feedback on what content to work on next. They included a Star Wars pack on one such poll, I seem to remember it got a shockingly low percentage of votes, and within a few days they announced the Batuu pack. I think the idea was that if they included it in a poll, surely everyone would be excited about the concept of a Star Wars pack and vote for that, and won't the community be so excited when they can get it immediately! But obviously that's not even close to what happened and it instead was a very transparent manipulation attempt on the part of the PR team or whoever was in charge of the polls. That was a big subject of anger in the first few days of the launch, but the poll has largely been forgotten in the grand scheme of things and I don't see it mentioned much anymore. I haven't actually seen an official poll like that be sent out since either.
I think I remember that and Plumbella talking about it, because it was literally at the bottom of the polls and no one had asked for the pack, so no one was sure why it was included in the first place!
AND (god batuu had so many layers of bad) the timing of this pack could not have been worse bc they did all this marketing for a pack, which was an advertisement for a theme park, during the year a global pandemic had us all avoiding crowds. So many fans found it incredibly tone deaf!
@@mightyowl1800 I think if it had been done well it could have been marketed as a hey, we're all stuck inside and this can be escapism for all of us since none of can actually go to the theme park. But the problem is that very few people actually wanted a Star wars pack to begin with compared to an actual amusement park pack and then we were hearing a lot of things. I remember reading things like Lindsay I think saying it was her who greenlighted it and she's so excited for it because she can't wait to go to the real one
When I was in elementary school, I asked for the sims 4 cats and dogs expansion pack for the holidays and to my surprise I actually got it! Little me was ecstatic.... and then i found out that it was an EXPANSION pack lol I proceeded to awkwardly tell my parents that I thought that it was just. a version of the Sims 4 with cats and dogs added in and not just a pack that would add them into the Sims 4. I was lucky they were willing to buy me the actual Sims 4 after that because I was a kid who just saw cute animals and a game I was wanting to play not realizeing it was a seperate thing
When I was little, i was in electronic shop, and I saw The sims 3 Pets pack. My brother was telling me that I need basic The sims 3 but I didn't listened to him and bought a pack xD
It’s insane how this video is an hour long and there are still people in the comments saying “I’m surprised you didn’t mention X!” Like…that’s how FUCKED this game is
Thing is EA used to be revolutionary by being one of the first gaming companies to give credits to the devs , and promoted the devs as artists you know just like how the A in EA is for arts . Insane how they are the poster child for shit now
And they won’t change if yall keep giving them money 🙄 simming community keep complaining then buy all of sims 4 EPs anyway 😒 just pirate their damn games if yall want to play them so bad, its okay to pirate EA stuff if you think theyre evil and greedy.
It shocks me how seasons, jobs, colleges, pets, and any type of WEATHER wasn’t added in the base game. Those things are a big part of life, how are they not included in a life simulation?
@@patisilence it makes more sense to me for weather/pets/university to be their own expansions. If they weren’t, we’d be lacking a lot of content in those areas, since they’d just be built in at a base game level. Maybe I’m just brainwashed, though, and EA should be including those things in the base game as fleshed out as they would be in an expansion (at least weather and generations). I mean, the game is (was) 60$ (I think I paid 80 when it first came out, actually), and compare that price to games like, idk, Skyrim or other really detailed ones. Idk if I’m making much sense here. I tried my best 😢😂. Sims built their entire franchise around expansion packs, so I think we have just gotten used to being ripped-off, in a way. It’s either that or don’t play the sims at all
Just to clarify - the decision to quickly assemble TS4 from whatever was left of olympus was not because EA "didn't want to lose the momentum" and the fans were waiting too anxiously. A franchise like TS doesn't need momentum to generate sales. People will always be interested. The fact developers only had around a year to create an offline experience out of thin air and just some visual assets was purely motivated by EA's obligations to shareholders who were entitled to their payout. They would have delayed the game by another year if not two had that not been the case.
This comment will be unread but well I was part of the beta testers for the Sims 4 before its release. I was absolutely shocked by the disappearance of open worlds, shops, cars, insects, pools, toddlers, ghosts, playable jobs and much more as we players expected "rabbit holes" from the Sims 3 to go extinct in the Sims 4. With other testers, we warned EA about the cruel lack of content in the game, and they basically responded that "they had to make sacrifices to implement the complex system of emotions" and that they will never change anything before release. When the game released they compensated the lack of content by paying every influencer on Earth to play their damn game and say it's amazing. They still got roasted by the community and had to kneel to add pools, ghosts and toddlers for free, but damn. I am very worried about what the Sims 5 will be.
I also play tested Sims 4. I don't recall them explicitly telling my group that they wouldn't change anything for release. I was so disappointed when I realized that all of the feedback we had given them went unaddressed... and how it clear it was that they would keep doubling down on having us pay more for less. I honestly felt back then that the sims in Sims 3 were more complex and interesting than the ones with the new emotions. I have not played The Sims 4 since that playtest - there was something about sitting in the sessions and hearing other players give them direct feedback (and being told that they would listen) and having it go unaddressed that didn't sit right with me.
emotions aren't even complex, anyone who knows jack about how games handle that knows that it's a lie, for example, Project Zomboid, it looks like the sims 1 and honestly, probably could be modded into it, but it has an emotion system, albeit not as big as sims 4, literally its just bars that fill up when you do or don't do shit, if you select the smoking trait and don't smoke, the stress bar goes up, if you kill zombies, the stress bar goes down, if you run, the tired and hunger bars go up, and they pop up and tell you that you need to deal with them sims 4 handles it so much differently, your characters don't even have these bars, they have + or - they get from activities, all it is, is "Did sim watch tv that wasn't kids? if yes, +2 happy, else, +2 boredom", it's such an easy system
@@doctorgrubious7725 I always laugh when people talk about how complex the Sims 4 AI is. I've been programming professionally and as a hobby for over 10 years, I'm not an expert at AI but I've done enough programming to know how difficult it would be to make something like the Sims 4 AI, and I'm not seeing what's so complex about it, things seem more random than actually complex, and the emotions don't seem like anything special. It's not that what they have is bad just not enough to act like it's some new groundbreaking system, it's a good foundation for sure. What killed it for me was the lack of open world, I think the ability to have deep immersion into the 'world' is a big part for a lot of people. I can almost guarantee you if they said we have to reduce the quality in graphics by 20-30%, but we can have open worlds without major performance issues, people would go for it and after a while wouldn't even notice the difference in graphics
With getting together I have a toddler that keeps crying and throwing tantrums because his parents are spending time with his infant sister to push through some more milestones. That is an emotion done right!
I love how much effort Izzy puts into her makeup and hair for these videos. It shows how creative and thoughtful she is. Those little details make the videos stand out so much.
In Sims 5 there's gonna be a pack "seasons" and "holidays", then is Sims 6 it's gonna be like "rain" "sunny weather" "winter" "autumn" and then "holidays"
Your content is so good! One random story about the sims- one time I was mid-marriage with my boyfriend, when I got a notification from his mom saying he had passed away and he turned into an urn right there at the wedding, the sims is truly a beautiful game.
crazy beautiful indeed. It reminds me of the time I wedded my Sims in the Bridgeport beach, when all of a sudden a cold spike occurred and my sims wedding guests began dropping like flies, becoming ice cubes from the cold
“Death by summoning a cryptid as a prank and then actually summoning a real cryptid” is the most sims death I can possibly think of. 10/10 game no notes.
My biggest turn-off in Sims4 was that I couldn't multitask. I hated not being in an open-world, because I always liked to have a full household with kids and animals and manage them going about their everyday life. It was challenging to keep track of everybody, and to me that was the most fun about the whole thing. Sims4 just didn't cut it for me then.
I love world adventures, but until now, its so damn hard managing sims if one of them is in the tombs and others somewhere else. You just look elsewhere, and suddenly, your sim walked straight into a trap :v..
@@ple8379 its an EP for single-sim households, it was advertised that way, i honestly wouldnt want to play with other sims while one is exploring, its distracting and takes away the vibe of tombs
@@mmgs1148 I know, I mostly play with one sim anyway, but as someone who explored mostly all tombs, I know them very well, and it's a good challenge to keep it entertaining
people seem to forget that while sims 3 had an open world, it was a mistake and just too much even now, that's why to this day it doesn't even run well on the best computers. wanting this to continue in sims 4 is ridiculous. i'm glad we don't have that anymore and the neighbourhoods are enough, there's no need for an open world. that's why you can see the new games being developed, the paralives one, ''sims 5'' etc. they all look the same but also different from the traditional sims. they seem to have an open world but the characters look like crap. the sims 2 and 4 are similar because you're focused on 1 lot and on your sims, not the whole world. if you have an open world like sims 3 then you're able to see more but your sims look like potatoes. i'd rather be able to create a nice sim and a nice house than be able to see every tree in town and play zoomed out all the time. you can't have it all at once. and the loading screens in sims 4 aren't even bad at all. sims 4 is a very light game and it's great that it's made to be like that. not that heavy giant rock that sims 3 was. you're not seeing the entire city in real life either, your real life loading screen is having to actually walk or travel somewhere lol.
Every time you hear game devs go, "We're reinventing the genre", "we'll be going back to the roots of the franchise" or anything similar, you know you're in for an absolutely abominable time.
@@maxonite Objectively untrue. It's just a second-rate garry's mod for consoles, nothing about it hadn't already been done on PC. If you think it's "one of the best ever" based on game journo reviews, then step back and think about whose opinions you're parroting here.
The sentiment that making ANY game playable offline is impossible is absolutely fucking bogus. Literally whenever you start making a game, you start with OFFLINE prototypes, the online functionality needs to be added later and pretty much never is (nor should be) crucial to how the game works
It depends. If the game is exclusively processed server-side it's much more difficult to pull it off because of the lack of server-side source code, and SimCity isn't one of them. They used the server just for cloud saves and online DRM.
you say were as if it wouldn't still happen haha. I tried to have a nice wedding but no event worked, had to do over 50 broken spousal kisses and that mess still didn't work!! And every second kiss had them stretching into 5 different directions
I remember being so frustrated with the emotions when the game first dropped. I can't remember why now, but for some reason I needed to kick over a garbage can, so I needed to be angry. Unfortunately, because I chose 'loves the outdoors' for my sim, the SECOND she went outside her emotion flipped to happy. I wore the angry hat, painted an angry painting and stared at it, got into a fight, and made it to this deep red ENRAGED, took one step out the front door - immediately flipped to green happy. I couldn't do it. There was nothing I could do to stay angry enough to get down 2 steps and kick over a garbage can. I couldn't understand how this was the system the team had raved about so much. Another example is of one of my sim kids who literally just watched his mother die in front of him. But his emotion was happy because he'd had a good day at school. Edit because my brain says to type one thing, but my fingers just smash whatever keys they feel like.
Don't forget all the "Do x while on emotion y". Instead of being organic, they end up being artificial constructs to force a specific emotion to complete the objective.
I'm going to be honest. I hate the sentiments. My sim was roughhousing with his toddler and now every time he's around or tries to interact with her, she becomes upset. But he can't do anything about it because she'll just throw a fit ... Sis what on earth do you want me to do? You can't take care of yourself 😭
I just miss the open world so much. All my sims 4 sims are the biggest loners because the loading screens just make going anywhere so annoying too me. As soon as I play with more than one sim they are basically never leaving because I hate that I cannot control both of them at the same time unless they are in the same place. Weirdly, I also just loved watching my sims travel to different parts of their town by bike or in a car because I loved the animation and how realistic it made the game. There was just so much more to do.
The travelling system was weird and wonderful. I remember my sim having a car, and she usually took the car for a bit and then hopped into the subway, and then ran. Like why don’t you JUST take the car? It’s literally possible and easier than car> subway> run
Watching them ride in the car was huge for me. I remember when I was little I would make up stories depending on who sat in the front seat or the back seat. Once they got to their destination I would play as if they had a fight if they were separated, or they would have a wonderful date if they sat together.
I feel the same. I also found the absolutely tiny neighbourhoods kind of a bummer. There would maybe be 7 houses per neighbourhood and you're basically the only one living there until you move other sim familys in via other playthroughs. I could never tell if I liked that feature or if it made my world incredibly boring. If all my neighbours are also me, there's nothing to learn about them.
@@sarahhollings7623 fr Sims3 felt big even before expansions. I think sims3's biggest flaw in later years was lack of expansion and city integration. For example if you've got a supernatural character but you live in any world that isn't the supernatural town, there's basically no other supernaturals in existence. Same with the pets expansion. If you live in the pet town everyone has one, there's pet stuff to do everywhere. If you live in any other town there's just wild pets and nobody else actually has pets, it's just you. Most expansions just didn't integrate well, which made it a real bummer that I'd have to create a new household to enjoy the content I purchased.
One of the big scandals in the Sims community was the terrible, terrible EA builds. I remember Strangerville having houses with completely empty rooms and a house with a nonfunctional kitchen (because the counters were blocked by a fruit bowl), Get Famous having a mansion with no toilets in any of the bathrooms, and Realm of Magic having a house with a staircase that led to a blank wall instead of a door. Now that they've started getting Sims community members to do the builds it has been a massive improvement and I'm glad that they took in people's feedback on those builds, but it was dark days for a while there.
Honestly as much as i get the criticism of the houses being bad (they were terrible), i actually want the houses to be bad so that i can renovate, remodel, or tear down on a whim. The houses in mt komorebi are TOO good. There's not much i can do to make them better architecturally, and are often more creative than i could build so i don't want to tear them down. I think it comes down to what your gameplay style is, bc i don't actually play the game, i just use bb and cas, so i don't need/want my prebuilt houses to be pretty. Whereas, i see how pretty houses would be needed/wanted by ppl who just want pretty houses, don't use bb, or use bb differently than i do. The best solution i can think of having a mix of EA builds and simmer builds in each world
I've always thought it was on purpose because in Strangerville's storyline you can get your furniture taken by, like, the military ? I remember having my fridge taken away 😅
THIS. I never needed to replace the builds in The Sims 3 worlds because they were done so well. I remember moving my sims in and not even needing to redecorate (Starlight Shores and Sunlit Tides had some really gorgeous lots). Especially starter homes.
Same here. I've only ever played with a one Sims 4 game file and I'm now on the 56th generator so there has been loads of drama and the plot is absolutely insane that if I ever made a book of it I would actually have the money to buy a castle from middle Europe. Sorry for my bad English.
I genuinely feel there needs to be a class action lawsuit against the people responsible for the the sims 4. What this joke of a game showed us is that there is no law against advertising specific expectations of a game only to release an unfinished, broken, empty shell. This needs to be made illegal, and the way that happens is with a lawsuit. Imagine a company like Target advertising a table that goes viral and makes billions in profit, even though customers end up getting a table with 3 legs. This is illegal, but no such law exists with video games and the sims 4 is getting away with bait-and-switch robbery.
maybe i’m just used to it but seasons is one of those packs i never minded. sure, it’d be nice to have weather in the base game but the Sims 3 is a perfect example of how you can add so much more content with an expansion pack dedicated solely to seasons. if weather was included in base game they wouldn’t include festivals/holidays so you’d likely have to buy dlc for the full “seasons” experience anyways lol. it’s EA after all😭
Hearing you describe how the sims lost its dark lore in the newest installment, I feel the fans for Animal Crossing also feel the same since the animals seem to have lost their edge a lot as well. They made them more friendly and less fleshed out in a lot of ways and many of them say the same thing (assuming they have the same personality type). It was fun to look up conspiracies on Animal Crossing much like it is for Sims. It's more casual on the outside, but finding the mystery was the real challenge. I miss it too.
New Horizons also made Lazy sims from sleepy, lazy foodies to constantly talking about their lack of hygiene which makes me sad and made me feel like I lost the character who helped me as a little girl through my mum’s cancer, Egbert. The lazy personality is unrecognisable in new horizons
@@chattychatotchannel thank god im still stuck with wild world Filbert my god i hate new horizons just because they straight up ruined some personalities. i can def agree that customization is top notch, but everything else..? eh..
As someone who’s been playing Animal Crossing since the VERY beginning, I resonate with this a lot lol. I may have been slightly traumatized by the villagers roasting me when I just a tiny kid, but guess what, I have fond memories of that!! The fact they sanitized the later games so much is disappointing. I find myself not giving a crap about the villagers despite the fact they’re supposed to be the main draw of the game. Instead it’s been turned into a decorating sim… which other games have done far better, leaving New Horizons to feel obsolete right upon release for me personally.
52:55 I do recall that the Sims 2 was gifted to all Origin accounts way before 2022, in a pack that included all the expansions. I have that version in my account. Thank you for the vid. It was nice.
I forgot about that damn dust DLC. "Oh, you haven't vacummed your home in the last 3 hours. It's now covered in an inch of dust and living dust bunnies. #LifeSim"
I needed this after my sims 4 infant aged up to a toddler and she was covered in blood that I could not figure out how to remove in CAS. Decided to run with it and enable her autonomy to kill other sims with a mod…. immediately attempts to murder her mom and now there’s 4 urns on the sidewalk 😭
I love hearing about your experience with the sims vs my own as I was a kid/tween when the first one came out. I bought the base game and 3 expansions with my 12th birthday money. I got really into the second one. Back then you could share the packs as long as you owned at least one pack, whichever one you installed last would be the one you needed the CD to use to play so me and my friends all shared our packs so we didn't have to buy them all. By the time the third one came out I was a young adult and I had no extra money, my computer could barely run it, I couldn't afford any expansion packs so I barely touched it and always went back to The Sims 2. I basically jumped from 2-4 I never got to fully enjoy the glory of 3.
my sims 4 sims be like: "i'm having an awful day, i cant do anything at this point!" (sad) *sees painting* "omg! how inspiring... (inspired) MY DOG POOPED IM EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTBLE" (uncomfortble)
I remember multiple people telling me “you seem like a person who’s obsessed with the sims” which i can only presume is a grand compliment based entirely on these videos
I played The Sims 4 before The Sims 3. I was so overwhelmed, and I was like omg I can’t imagine how UNDERwhelmed people were going the other way around.
yup. I can still remember the disappointment of opening the shiny new game to a 2D all white map, with no pools, toddlers, cars, terrain tools and most of basegame jobs. I got bored sooo fast. Especially comparing my first time playing Sims 3 base game! Coming from sims 2 to 3? Awesome! 3 to 4? Not so much.
I got Sims 4 after the base game became free. What bothered me was the lack of back story for the townies. The social interactions were too easy and my sim, despite having high free will, ended up doing the same things again and again when I left him alone. Having a loading screen to go to a restaurant also bothered me more than I thought it would. I'm now back on Sims 3, I only use Sims 4 to build houses.
From the ig the sims to Sims 2 to sims 3 made me think that the franchise can only become better. I didn't buy the sims 4 bc I was old enough to not get it as a present and I don't spend a dime on games with my own money. I played it with a friend who had many mods. I thought at first the mods was the og sims 4 and I was like "damn they got bipolar disorder to make it extra hard mode?" They hadn't. I played the fitgirl sims 4 later by myself and was so underwhelmed. But so happy it's the only one I never bought (through my parents the first ones)
I don't really follow updates about this game since for the last however many years it's just been packs and kits, but I had no idea that for the 20th anniversary of the franchise all we got was a freakin hot tub??? Other franchise use these big dates to sell merch, announce spin-offs and reboots, etc... and all the sims fans got was an in-game item??
If you want an actual good "Sims" makeup palette, the Trixie x Juno palette had a lot of Sims inspiration, even has shades named after bonehilda, the grim reaper, and joy despret (idk if she's canon or junos original creation but she's a sim)
the Desprets are sort of canonical, they're part of the like background Sims of Sims 2 but they also show up in some names. Like in the Apartment Life expansion there's an apartment complex named "Despret something something"
In the vein of My Wedding Stories, i’m surprised you didn’t mention how utterly BROKEN dine out is. Seriously I never play with restaurants anymore bc it takes my sim 8-10 in game hours to EAT AT A RESTAURANT. Compared to Sims 2 Nightlife which came out in 2005 I believe and was only a portion of a huge expansion, it works way better and more efficiently. Granted you can’t own your own restaurant (unless you have Open for Business? I think?) but it actually functions and feels more dynamic and my sim doesn’t randomly get up and sit down again to eat their food.
Hey it's down to 5 hours for me lately, which is like... *almost* realistic. If you watch hell's kitchen, 5 hours sounds like an almost normal time to wait for a medium rare steak!
The Sims 2 is great with mods, but even without those just using boolprop allows your sims to own their own beachside hotels, study at university as a werewolf, and become a cult leader robot that can teleport. So much stuff for role play.
I know I'm late, but my biggest gripe with Sims 4 is that making sims is great, building a house is even better. But after that I'll play for maybe 15 minutes and get bored because there's nothing to do. Despite what they said on release the sims have no personality, nothing ever affects anything, mood is completely irrelevant, and they even turned off wants by default. There is a complete lack of content after the build stage. And the amount of content you get in things like stuff packs really makes me wonder how many people are really working on Sims 4. Because let's be honest - things like 25 objects in a stuff pack, many of which don't even have any animations or interactions like windows or lamps or general decor items, shouldn't take more than a month to make for like 5 people max. Especially when you consider that many items nowadays are just covert recolours or resizes of items that already exist.
And if you don't purchase anything, the game is empty and soulless. I'm one of those rare people who got the game AFTER it became free, and after downloading all the mods I could to make it more interesting..I was still let down. I was restricted to three worlds, barebones gameplay, and..a lack of actual things to do. My sims lived samey, lame lives and even with my vivid imagination, I lost interest within an hour. I even caved and bought a pack, which I quickly regretted because the features it added were very minuscule! After playing with it for a week I felt that deep empty vacuum tugging at my soul..craving for MORE. IT NEEDED SO MUCH MOOOORE!!
There is a ton of stuff to do. I've never understood how people can make that complaint. It's mostly bugged, but there is an overwhelming ton of things to do.
@@claudiawilson1376 I'm refering to the plethora of content that I bought always on hard-sale. If you're too cheap to invest, you deserve to be bored. One doesn't have to pay full-price, if one is mature enough to wait for it to go on sale.
I started playing in 2023, and I immediately got the vibes that this game was a means to sell the extra content. I enjoy the game immensely now that I bought some of the extra content, and it's so crazy to me that this game was originally supposed to be "stable". I'm flabbergasted at the fact this game still has bugs so many years later.
The funny thing about the Journey To Batuu pack. I remember someone had put out a poll asking fans what pack they would like to see next, and a Star Wars pack was literally the last thing most fans wanted to see. Maxis released the Journey to Batuu not too long after, and a lot of fans got angry because Maxis once again proved that they don't really care about knowing what the majority of the fans really want. XD Edit: I had mistakenly said that it was an official poll. It wasn't. But it still grinds my gears that Maxis refuses to listen to popular demand until WAY later. And then it ends up mostly botched lol.
the funny thing about that is it wasn't an official poll, it was just some fansite poll. people just kept spreading around the lie. However in an actual official survey, EA/Maxis asked fans what they'd like to see as content and I listed Star Wars and Mass Effect, and other ip's EA had access too. Personally I wanted Old Republic flavored Star Wars, and a high school pack couldn't have been less interesting to me. Very annoying to keep hearing people claim "no one asked for this" when I literally did.
@@Sneakyonfoota when people say ‘no one asked for this’ they mean the general consensus is that no one is interested. The mass majority of sims players had little to no interest in a Star Wars game. They don’t mean literally no one asked. It just doesn’t really make sense with the demographic and interests of the typical sims player
@@Sneakyonfoota Well sure, you did. But you were in the vast minority. Generally, companies can be counted on to market to the majority, not the minority. That's why people were so angry and shocked when a Star Wars pack was announced. Because yes, SOME people wanted it. But not enough to actually justify a pack, when mods would suffice just as well. They were angry because they felt ignored. Because the things they HAD actually been asking for were ignored, in favour of the honestly very few people who wanted a Star Wars pack. And in doing so, EA broke the agreed-upon contract of "Business sells to consumer demand. If there's enough demand, they make the thing".
Batuu would've been great if it wasn't a glorified ad. If we could BUILD there. If we could build theme park rides! If it had a C3PO or Chewbacca outfit! And more importantly, if Jedi were an actual life state with a Light Side/Dark Side skill tree. But instead, we got........... rabbitholes. It was honestly devastating how bad it was.
Stuff like this is why I’m so excited for other life-sim games like Paralives and Life by You. Not because I want the sims to fail and be replaced, but because I think competition will force it to improve
@@jorrdan. The only Sims games I've played are The Sims 2 Castaway, The Sims Mobile, and The Sims Freeplay (I'm kind of on and off with that one). Guess I'm not a real Simmer.
@@PsychedelicCharm I don’t think they’re implying that you have to play the other games to be a simmer, I think they’re just surprised someone actually likes the sims 4 the best and is curious if they’ve played the others (which most people prefer)
@@sophiathefurbst No lie I had a friend who preferred Sims4 over Sims 2. They hated the lack of diversity in Sims 2 CAS and graphics although they did like the story and lore. I got a friend who love Batuu because they're a longtime Starwars fan and had a blast with the CAS and Builds. I personally like Sims 4 toddlers and infants more than in any other installation. I'm also goth so Vampires is my jam. Different simmers value different things.
see, the emotions system is actually a really subtle piece of storytelling- every sim has a mood disorder, and it's a very well done, nuanced depiction of daily life with this overwhelming mental health issue. EA wanted simmers with mood disorders to feel understood, and those without to be more sympathetic to people suffering with them. ... or it's just a bad, busted system.
I feel like EA's obsession with making an online Sims game is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of why people play the Sims. For me personally, at least, I play the Sims when I DON'T want to actually interact with people, but still want to fill my "social" gauge, in Sims terms. Having an online version of the game fully ruins the point - when your gameplay is fundamentally based on social simulations, and you remove the simulation part, of course all you have left is a glorified chatroom. What's the point?
I played PlayStation home on the ps3 back in the day when it was active. It was essentially a glorified chat room with avatars and mini games. That kind of thing would be completely separate from the sims but can be fun if done well. However I have no faith in EA to create anything other than a platform to pump with microtransactions. It’s sad but I think there used to be an online sims game, it can work but not from this company.
And I think most people would have overlooked the absent window, if it hadn't been the fact that at this point, stuff like this was just a long running issue with EA. With every pack, with every update, it's something, something doesn't work, something wasn't included, something was rushed with poor quality. It's just straight up disrespect at this point.
I always thought that the Sims 4 emotions were at least a little realistic because I related to a lot of how their emotions worked, then I found out my family has a history of rapid switching bipolar So... Yeah
I was about to comment this too lol, history of bipolar and BPD in the family so it wasn’t weird to me that their entire personalities seemed to change with intense moods lol
“I don’t wanna give off the impression that I’m a hater” You’re wearing a Plumbob headband and you drew Plumbobs on your face. I don’t think anyone thinks you’re a hater lol. 💙
Most of "hate" the sims 4 gets is from ts1, 2 and 3 players. Each game had something great about it. that was not the case w ts4 I only played the demo, the CAS is truly great but the create and simulation mode is awful. if we can get the sims 4 cas, the sims 2 simulation mode and the sims 3 open world and create a style, the sims 5 would be excellent.
I honestly think the sims team could make a killing updating and re-releasing the sims 2 & 3. I miss the lore of the sims 2 and the open world of sims 3 and the depth of story telling in both. I’ve bled money into the sims 4 but the spark just isn’t the same. (Mods help so much but I’m so lazy to update them 😭😭)
This is how many of us in the TS3 community feel. Unfortunately, not only did they drop support for Sims 3, they deliberately crippled Create a World with the new EA App so no one could build worlds anymore unless they went out and bought all the discs or switched over to Steam.
Its always so heartbreaking seeing concept art and cut content of a game have so much heart, passion and love put into it and then it being majorly cut down in the real game. It already sucks when a game appars like a heartless cashgrab throughout but knowing there was people who genuinely liked the project that had to follow a strict guideline made by company somehow hurts even more
"gloomy Sims can become more motivated by sadness" Me: that's so unrealistic! Also me: painting my nails for the first time in two years, itching to finish a sewing project and do Gameboy maintenance at 2 am after having a breakdown
@@elliewellie_UA-cam nail polish went to hell because I have a condition that gives me chronic cold and that makes nail polish set wrong. Managed to finally get around to washing my build a bears (still need to brush them tho), replaced the screens on my Gameboys, and cried while eating a block of cheese
me splitting wood in the middle of the night because I get restless and sweaty when I cry and need an excuse to smell like I just did 3 hours of hard labor
Nothing more infuriating than traveling to an apartment building in the sims 4, having nothing loaded but blank walls and no furniture and needing to go to a separate loading screen to visit an apartment in the same building you didn’t specifically “travel to”. I’m literally looking at the inside of the apartment, LET ME IN! LET ME INNNNN!!!!!!!
And, this is exactly why none of this will ever get better and they will never care about the feedback from the community. This ending speech, exactly. If you will buy it no matter what. And if you will defend it no matter what. Then what reason do they ever have to try to win you over? Their job is already done. They've already won you over without ever having to lift a finger. All they need to do is collect their cut.
I really miss the 'surprise' factor that The Sims always had, like literally I didn't knew what was about to happen to my sim, I played almost with fear of losing one in any second lol. But Sims 4 is pretty boring in that aspect, it is rare to see something crazy happening, and it is really easy to save them (like from fire or electrocution).
Even saving them from the grim reaper is relatively easy if you have another sim present. They can beg for mercy. It almost always works for me. So now the grim reaper doesn't even give me the same anxiety it used to because, well, I can make him change his mind.
@@crochetdogtrainerthe grim reaper is pretty goofy in sims 4 which hurts me for a couple of reasons, one there's the incredibly badass concept art they initially had for him and second is how dramatic the other sims games' grim was, like sims 3 grim had this cool menacing theme song that would blast out in full volume when someone died on the lot or sims 2 having either dancing zombies with him or being absolutely pissed off with the sim depending on the dead sim's aspiration meter(and the fact that dude canonically got laid in sims 2-3 and in 4 it's just vaguely implied given how the beakers iny exist in the gallery and not in any of the actual neighbourhoods)
The "Scared" emotion was not part of the release. Until it existed, fear and imminent danger were represented by the "Tense" emotion, which is mostly expressed as frustration. Just another way the emotion system was broken.
@MunchyCrunchBar yeah it has little use in game given that the stuff that give you a dazed moodlet are relatively few and far between, the most i've seen of this state is through my alcohol mod
"NOOOO, YOU MUSTY SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON EXPLOITIVE PRICES TO HAVE MORE CONTENT!!!" Me waiting for FitGirl to pirate the game again with the new expansion pack: 🍷🗿
One thing that really bothered me was the Memories function that was added in an expansion. There was such an opportunity to have actions that had permenant, lasting impacts on your relationships with sims. Like going to a birthday party, cheating, an argument etc. they didn’t all need to last forever but I think stuff like cheating could have a lasting dynamic between sims other than a relationship ding that can be easily repaired, negative moodlet around each other etc. But nah. They just disappear.
What you have now is random stuff. You just met someone, and you're telling them that you're so glad that they still laugh at your llama jokes, or you can reminisce about old times and tell inside jokes. They just really messed that mechanism up, too.
Dang that eyeshadow palette was super shady on MAC's part. They've collaborated with many artists and brands over the years and they create new exclusive shades for each one. But to repackage a pre-existing neutral palette that I'm assuming sold poorly, is just shameful.
I cannot believe no one brought up the relationship bugs that took EA FOREVER to patch. Children being labeled as romantic options? Did we all just forget that?
adding on to that, your sim used to be able to want to start a romantic relationship with their sibling noncommittal sims and sims who hated children wouldn't try for a baby unless they were 'dazed' (both now changed)
for some reason I was OBSESSED with the strangerville pack and I've never even watched stranger things.. i'd play the story over and over again, but my magnum opus was probably my 4+ generation long savefile where i brought back the mother plant after finishing the story and made a cult that worshipped it. they'd all be possessed and run around planting more strange plants and taking care of them, "trick" other sims into eating strange fruits to infect them, and each week they'd all take a trip to see the mother plant, the leader would be constantly granted youth by it and therefore be basically immortal, and once any of the other members reached elder stage they'd be fed to the mother plant as an offering
I grew up playing the original The Sims, had all the expansion packs and whatnot. I loved the dark-and-twisted humor it had going on, and I must admit it helped to shape part of my personality. It was a great shame when I decided to play The Dims 4 and found a game which is mostly plastic in its personality. So… devoid of what made it special for me. Your video really helped me understand what happened in the series. Than you so much
Journey to Batuu is actually impressive because much like the real Galaxy’s Edge, there’s like a couple actual buildings and then really nothing else to do
The only thing I would ever go to Galaxy's Edge for is to see DJ Rex, since he's a big part of Disney Parks history, being the original host of Star Tours (before being replaced by C3PO) :) I'm a nerd for animatronics, haha! Everything else in Galaxy's Edge is pretty mid to me, though.
Yeah, I heard that the actual thing wasn't anything to write home about..... Since you can mess around in Sims 4, you'll still have more fun with the pack than the real Galaxy's Edge.
i went to galaxy's edge literally yesterday (albeit the disneyland one) and it was so surreal seeing all those bb and cas items im forced to scroll past irl. also I had absorbed WAY more batuu lore than I realized like "oh did you know that's the ithorian shopkeeper dok-ondar's parents' gravestone?"
Seeing the continuous glucose monitor being added almost made me cry! As a type 1 diabetic I don’t ever see people like me being displayed correctly so being able to add something as small as a cgm is a very nice feeling. I feel seen.
As a schizophrenic I've been seen too many times not just in the Sims but in media in general, I've yet to see a balanced picture of the condition though. Always monstrous murderers or completely insane 24/7. Point is my diabetic friends, be careful what you wish for.
@@informitas0117 While I do understand what you're getting at, it's.. kinda hard to fuck up something like diabetes compared to various mental illnesses and disorders. Mental illnesses are depressingly easy to fuck up because of how many stigmas there are about them for so many years.
The worst glitch I've experienced in sims 4 (multiple times) is that sometimes your Sim's romantic partner will be randomly assigned as their sibling. This could only be fixed by downloading mods and completely resetting their relationships
god the incest glitches 😦 i know this probably isnt a "glitch" per say but i hate when my adult sim gets whims/wants about flirting with his sons young adult wife like sir that is ur daughter-in-law and you are 50 ❗❗
oh god this reminds me of one i got where i sent my sim on a date with their boyfriend, but the boyfriend didn't spawn in for some reason and the date event was still active - and I suddenly see "Date" over his brother's name... like hello??
I grew up with Sims 1 and 2, and played a fair bit of Sims 3, but when the Sim City reboot bombed I didn't bother going for Sims 4. Once it went free-to-play I gave it a shot, I realized that the 'me' playing Sims now, versus the 'me' playing Sims back in 2004, are no longer the same person. Wouldn't say my love for simulation games is gone, but it feels lot emptier playing it now. I knew it the moment I watched my Sim spend hours on his computer just like I literally am, and the irony was too intense.
I used to spend all my savings, Christmas and Birthday present on Sims 3 expansions as a child and never regretted it. I'm so happy I never spent one cent for the Sims 4.
I regret spending that much money on the sims 4... I moved to ts3 and its far better even tho i had to learn how to change game code and what files i can remove/compress to make it run better.
Wish I was as smart as you.spent a lot of money on 3, then couldn't play it anymore (looooooong story) 4 was all I had. So I bought an expansion pack. I regret it to this day.
OMG thank you for putting the "sanatized" feeling into words! I was always feeling like Sims 4 was missing so much egde. I just couldn't articulate it. One example: In Sims 2 I had a cowplant as a university student. And it would eat my teachers without me noticing until I checked my grades and realised they had dropped because of this. And it ate my two roomates next. I brought my roommates back from the dead but they ended up being zombies instead of real Sims. And they kept destroying everything. I kicked them out and put them in their own family and I played a long time with them. It was fun. But something like this would never happen in Sims 4. I also loved building own apartment lots and things like that, but that doesn't work in Sims 4. You can't even make a community place with more than one function. I used to build malls with shops and restaurants and pools and things for fitness (mainly because I didn't want to travel to many different lots, so I wanted to have everything in one place). This doesn't work in Sims 4 either. You can't have a Spa and a Restaurant on the same lot, it won't work. And you can't open your own store at your home anymore either, another thing I used to do in Sims 2. I can mainly compare Sims 4 to Sims 2 because I didn't have a good laptop when Sims 3 came around and only was able to actually play the game again with Sims 4. Sims 2 will always have a special place in my heart, I recently started playing it again and while the graphics aren't as pretty as Sims 4, it's still my favourite of the installments. (Together with Medieval tbh, that spinoff was wild and so much fun). Edit: English isn't my first language so errors/faults/weird phrasing come as a free stuff pack!
I agree, it's the result of too many PC parents complaining that the sims franchise is too "adult" for a "doll house" simulation. So now with TS4 bring tye most sanitised of the franchise, there are still parents thinking the game is still too "mature". Like, I had to download mods to add in some mature aspects that were base features for TS1,2&3. 😅
@@BrightWulphI always think it's a mistake to blame the audience for these sorts of things. The actual reason why this happens is that with big companies and big games, board members have more influence than game designers, and the board members want to maximise mass market appeal to maximise profits. That means weird, quirky elements will be taken off the menu since they don't appeal to common sensibilities across cultures globally. Every time a franchise aims for global appeal, they become sanitised. It's because they need to have cross cultural appeal, not because they're trying trying appeal to PC culture.
I feel like the past sims games, it felt like the sims would go on without you if that makes sense? Sims 4 always felt like the sims just sat around waiting for me to interact with them
Unfortunately, the more inclusive a game is, the more "sanatized" it tends to be. It all stems from the need to never have the player feel bad ever and everyone has to be coddled. This is also why Sims has gotten worse with time.
I’m still so upset they abandoned Sims Medieval. I would really like a sequel to that game. It was so much fun even tho some gameplay options were hugely castrated. But quests were very fun and it was a nice change of routine to switch between different characters for every mission instead of playing with same family every time.
I used to try and play that game all the time, the few times I got it to work on my PC I always was sad there wasn't more to do. Sims set in medieval times is pretty cool
I’ve actually gone back to playing the sims 3 due to the sims 4 being so cash grabby by paywalling basic features and due to the lack of actual gameplay.
for me what kept me playing sims 4 was the cc and mods, its literally endless and some of the cc is gorgeous with the sims style. I know plenty of friends who continue to play just because of cc and mostly still play on just base game. The mods did what EA couldn't like UI changes, colour wheels more mature content etc its just like you said, this game wouldn't be what it is without players and creators who have continued to lift it up for years.
It’s like Skyrim. Sure the base game is fine, but what really elevates it is mods. If it wasn’t for mods and general investment in a franchise I think both games would be way less popular than they are in the current day
James Turner (formerly known as the sim supply) is the only real one for never having my first pets stuff installed in his game and being so openly against it even though hes been one of the biggest sims channels for years and everyone else at that level just jokes about and seems to not actually care that much now because it's been years. doesn't matter how long ago it was, that was a shit move from EA!

@@Kh4jiiT snowy escape was a huge flop. James is forgiven for his oatmeal build. Not much to work with in that monstrosity. I think cottage living is one of the best packs thus far. Seasons should've been base game, and I do like the dust bunny add on. I like realism in my game and doing chores. It helps me want to do them irl.
I'm surprised you didn't talk more about life states and the Supernaturals pack in particular. They did some cool things with certain life states, but there's so many creatures they just left out. They delivered vampires twice. Werewolves were delivered way late in a whole separate pack. WE STILL DON'T HAVE FAIRIES 😭🥺🧚♀️🧚♂️
honestly having played both supernatural in ts3 and with the different occult game packs in ts4, the s4 game packs leave supernatural in the dust just by fact and virtue that by focusing only on one at a time they can expand on so so much more rather than just giving us a little bit of each in a massive pack (biggest example is werewolves) obviously that's subjective and i also agree it can taste bitter having to pay for multiple packs when you only had to pay for 1 back in 2012 (especially since not every occult is in s4) but the s4 occult's are so so much better rounded imho so it's an uneven comparison (edited bc i pressed send too early oops)
@@emryspaperart I think you might be right, but I could've sworn they had their own individual pack + Supernaturals. Honestly I was more frustrated about them separating them into their own pack. Soulless money grabbing, and all that.
@@fluovite I can appreciate the effort they put into the new supernaturals but I still think I personally liked the variety over depth. To me the new life states felt tedious to build up over and over for new sims. I'm also playing on console so unfortunately cheats are also much more difficult to use so I can't really just plow right through them. But like you said that's subjective and it all depends on what you're looking for in the game. If they put out a Fairy pack in the future I'll probably still buy it lol
I don’t understand the purpose of separating supernatural with vampires and werewolves and I’m def not gonna buy a supernatural pack if they don’t have fairies!!! I’d rather stick to sims 3 supernatural
53:08 i know this video is months old now but i did in fact start playing after the game became free to play. and let me tell you, all i play is build mode to make cute pinterest houses and i have cracked every single pack and kit. i honestly have no interest in the gameplay and i don't think there's many interesting things you can do building wise with only the base game, but i also had no interest in buying 60+ dlc's just for the furtniture, so cracking it is! i've been having fun playing this way but probably because i know i haven't spent a dime in this game. i can't imagine how enraged people who actually payed not only for the game but for the packs and kits feel 😭
it's a blessing that the game is stupidly easy to pirate because i cannot imagine having to fork out actual money to have the game feel anywhere near like an actual complete game. i've got all 60+ dlcs myself through completely legal means wink but even with that it still somehow feels soulless to me? the only way i've managed to make it fun is through mods and cas but not everyone can have access to those
I'm still mad at the chaotic story I had planned for the Caliente household that basically came to naught! I decided to get Don in a relationship with all the ladies (yes, it was difficult to stop him flirting automatically with them all at dinner to keep it a secret)! Anyway, I thought it would be amazing to have a big wedding, where Don would get married to Katrina and cue the shit storm with her daughters. I wanted drama, I wanted tears, I wanted the wedding cake to be thrown on the floor! Instead, Nina and Dina got pissed for all of what felt like two minutes, resumed eating cake and then went home, where Don could still flirt with them.... Like what the hell?! I remembered how angry and resentful sims could be in the Sims 2, I wanted Dina to come by and kick Don's trash can. The emotions of the Sims 4 are unbelievably surface level and I honestly think even the Sims 2 did a better job at giving consequences to a sim's actions.
The Sims 2 is actually surprisingly good al with emotions despite the system looking simple from the outside. Like, there weren't much apart from star signs, some trait sliders, aspirations, wishes and attractions, but they had so much more influence on sims' everyday actions than even TS3's traits (just an opinion, please don't go at me). There were many small nuances, which, combined with interests and hobbies, gave out a truly complicated sim.
@@fey_wolf6309 I totally feel the same way and it might be because I grew up more with the Sims 2, so have a natural bias towards it. But while I liked the Sims 3, I just didn't feel quite as invested with the storylines or really got the sense that the sims were very unique or that different from one another.
Meanwhile, my two married sims can no longer sleep in the same bed because a random woman came up, flirted with my guy in front of his wife. He was not into it, and completely rejected the random lady, and his wife got mad at him for cheating, even though SHE WAS RIGHT THERE while he rejected the random lady! I've tried everything from making him and her enemies with the random lady. To attempting to KILL the random lady, but for some reason my game doesn't let anyone die ever. The random lady is currently just living in a super tiny room with no food, lights, bathroom or anything in the house of two people that hate her for good reason. Yet the married couple still love-hate eachother for no reason. It is so irritating.
I think the festering grudge trait from The Sims 4 is extremely broken or at least it was last time I attempted to play the game. In My Sims 4 game a toddler Sim will get a festering grudge against their own parents that lasts a long time because the parent tried to put them a high chair and this causes the toddler and the parent to have the angry emotion every time they're around each other. And the only way to remove it is with cheats but another Sim can catch her husband outright cheating on her and not get that trait and will continue being happy because hey the decor is good.
@@trypotherapy7478 I haven't actually played The Sims 4 in a while even though I've been excited to play The growing together pack but unfortunately I can't because it's completely broken and my Sim Is permanently stuck to her infant but can't interact with it for some reason But the last time I was able to actually play the game, You could use a cheat to remove the festering grudge trait (I don't actually know what it's called, but it's an emotion that's caused by socialising. I'm using the term trait but that's probably not accurate)
In The Sims 3 Late Night we got: vampires, apartments, celebrities/fame system, and hot tubs but all of those things were in separate packs for The Sims 4 🙃
The same with Sims 3 Supernatural. We got fairy's, werewolfs and witches. And now everything is separate. I wouldn't be surprised if we get fairies someday.

14:15 it’s depressingly funny that they’ve released basically the same amount of dlc for sims 4 in between this video and her most recent sims video from a few days ago
This damn franchise making people into who they are today is SO real. Having been a kid who grew overprotected, secluded, inhibited, as well as very creative, I can't express enough how much it has pushed my will and curiosity towards life. Sense of style, what I am personally willing to sacrifice, what I look for and can't stand about others, the kinds of environments I find pleasant, testing out stories that I ended up turning into whole-ass books... It sure does sound sad, but yeah. I'm grateful for it giving me a taste of these good-ordinary-slightly inconvenient aspects of life, since being fed little more than the worst of the worst is so common.
The moods are so true my sim could mourn their lover who died right in front of them only to become happy again when they walk into a really decorated room seconds later. Since the moods overtake EVERYTHING it ends up becoming less nuanced than sims 3

They really expected Star Wars to win just based on brand recognition huh.
The only way I could see the star wars pact working was if it actually added new alien genetics to the game. Like all the aliens are just costumes. What if your sim could have a child with a star wars alien and it came out half alien half human sim? Like the opportunity was right there!

@@rz1_1221 Do you know that The Sims 5 has already been announced/revealed, or you just don't believe them?
My theory for gatherings like weddings in the Sims is that each lot has a max total of collective brain cells. The more Sims involved in a thing, the thinner the brain cells are spread between them.
That's so funny and true
Honestly irl humans can be like that too at times so it's not TOTALLY unrealistic haha
That's essentially how it works, yes
that's so real
Honestly, sometimes I get defensive about TS4, but then I realise, I'm playing a copy that I got illegitimately, with all the DLC, with too many mods to count. At this point I'm not playing TS4, I'm playing what the community has made of it. Thanks, sims community!

I'd say it's a bad thing to leave out something so basic when it was included the previous games
exactly, i'm a huge fan of the game, but i hate that things like seasons and pets are things you have to buy, i feel like those are basic things, like if exotic pets cost extra that'd be one thing, but cats and dogs feel reasonable to have in base game...and it'd be forgivable if they weren't all so expensive, they're like 40$ each, you could get multiple games off steam for that much
it's a free game, i get that, but really only in theory, since getting an expansion pack, if not multiple, is seen as an expectation...it's not mandatory, obviously, but they seem to just give us just the bare minimum of what they think will keep people interested, with the hopes they'll buy the rest of the expansion packs
Piracy :)
God this made me laugh so hard

It was the colour wheel for me. Having the freedom to change sims hair to three separate colours if I wanted to, and making every wood the exact same colour when decorating was brilliant!
To then go to the sims 4 where you can’t customise was infuriating! There are objects in buy mode that I absolutely love, but the colour options and combinations are horrible, and so I never use them. It’s a shame.
To THEN give us the colour wheel but JUST for pets almost felt like a slap in the face.
I’ll never forgive taking the colour wheel away .
Sounds like everything was about budget, but I feel you.
@@KASPlaysSims ahh I stopped buying expansions and packs, so I didn’t actually know that about werewolves !

Ridiculous
If they don't add the color wheel people are forced to buy more content. Certain hair colors in packs, furniture, and KITCHEN COUNTERS

Yo ho, yo ho 😂
How do you combine the pirated packs with a real base game?
Also, to add to the list of drama:
-Bust the Dust was ironically busted as hell. Dust spawned too quickly, the aspirations were broken, dust bunnies brought back insanely expensive items and constantly added money to your family. Also refer to the general packs point below
-The NAPs were also broken where you could have every action plan active at once regardless of voting
-The cakes in Wedding Stories spoiled because they were essentially kept in an inventory until the wedding.
-The social menu is absolutely ridiculously bloated with interactions like Ask If Mermaid that are essentially useless
-The packs all included mood buffs that overpowered any other moodlet and often were inconsequential things (e.g.the floor being clean)
-Skintones in the update were extremely broken as mentioned and are still very broken.

I haven't actually seen an official poll like that be sent out since either.
as the old saying goes: never ask a question you dont know the answer to
I think I remember that and Plumbella talking about it, because it was literally at the bottom of the polls and no one had asked for the pack, so no one was sure why it was included in the first place!
Yes that was a literal nightmare and I don’t even own any packs
Little me was ecstatic.... and then i found out that it was an EXPANSION pack lol
I proceeded to awkwardly tell my parents that I thought that it was just. a version of the Sims 4 with cats and dogs added in and not just a pack that would add them into the Sims 4. I was lucky they were willing to buy me the actual Sims 4 after that because I was a kid who just saw cute animals and a game I was wanting to play not realizeing it was a seperate thing
To be fair the expainsion packs are definitely priced as standalone games 😭
When I was little, i was in electronic shop, and I saw The sims 3 Pets pack. My brother was telling me that I need basic The sims 3 but I didn't listened to him and bought a pack xD

It shocks me how seasons, jobs, colleges, pets, and any type of WEATHER wasn’t added in the base game. Those things are a big part of life, how are they not included in a life simulation?
they wanted the money from releasing all of these things in dlc packs
Tbf, apart from jobs, TS2 & TS3 didn't have these things in base game as well. Let's not forget that
Weather seems to be always be in pack unfortunately
It’s either that or don’t play the sims at all
Greed is a nasty trait :(
Just to clarify - the decision to quickly assemble TS4 from whatever was left of olympus was not because EA "didn't want to lose the momentum" and the fans were waiting too anxiously.
This comment will be unread but well
I was part of the beta testers for the Sims 4 before its release.
Thank you for your service, if only they had listened...
They could have just rereleased Sims 2 but with better graphics and we’d be pleased honestly 😅
I have not played The Sims 4 since that playtest - there was something about sitting in the sessions and hearing other players give them direct feedback (and being told that they would listen) and having it go unaddressed that didn't sit right with me.
emotions aren't even complex, anyone who knows jack about how games handle that knows that it's a lie,
for example, Project Zomboid, it looks like the sims 1 and honestly, probably could be modded into it, but it has an emotion system, albeit not as big as sims 4, literally its just bars that fill up when you do or don't do shit, if you select the smoking trait and don't smoke, the stress bar goes up, if you kill zombies, the stress bar goes down, if you run, the tired and hunger bars go up, and they pop up and tell you that you need to deal with them
sims 4 handles it so much differently, your characters don't even have these bars, they have + or - they get from activities, all it is, is "Did sim watch tv that wasn't kids? if yes, +2 happy, else, +2 boredom", it's such an easy system
The botched emotional system makes me absolutely cherish the Meaningful Stories mod. It's a game-changer.
With getting together I have a toddler that keeps crying and throwing tantrums because his parents are spending time with his infant sister to push through some more milestones. That is an emotion done right!
is it working alright with the new updates?

My biggest turn-off in Sims4 was that I couldn't multitask. I hated not being in an open-world, because I always liked to have a full household with kids and animals and manage them going about their everyday life. It was challenging to keep track of everybody, and to me that was the most fun about the whole thing. Sims4 just didn't cut it for me then.
I really missed that part, too!
I love world adventures, but until now, its so damn hard managing sims if one of them is in the tombs and others somewhere else. You just look elsewhere, and suddenly, your sim walked straight into a trap :v..
@@ple8379 its an EP for single-sim households, it was advertised that way, i honestly wouldnt want to play with other sims while one is exploring, its distracting and takes away the vibe of tombs

people seem to forget that while sims 3 had an open world, it was a mistake and just too much even now, that's why to this day it doesn't even run well on the best computers. wanting this to continue in sims 4 is ridiculous. i'm glad we don't have that anymore and the neighbourhoods are enough, there's no need for an open world. that's why you can see the new games being developed, the paralives one, ''sims 5'' etc. they all look the same but also different from the traditional sims. they seem to have an open world but the characters look like crap. the sims 2 and 4 are similar because you're focused on 1 lot and on your sims, not the whole world. if you have an open world like sims 3 then you're able to see more but your sims look like potatoes. i'd rather be able to create a nice sim and a nice house than be able to see every tree in town and play zoomed out all the time. you can't have it all at once. and the loading screens in sims 4 aren't even bad at all. sims 4 is a very light game and it's great that it's made to be like that. not that heavy giant rock that sims 3 was. you're not seeing the entire city in real life either, your real life loading screen is having to actually walk or travel somewhere lol.
Every time you hear game devs go, "We're reinventing the genre", "we'll be going back to the roots of the franchise" or anything similar, you know you're in for an absolutely abominable time.

I laugh that the studios said that making SimCity offline playable was "impossible" then within that week, someone hacked it to be played offline 😂😂😂
nothing is impossible in any sims game. just gotta have the knowledge to make it happen. seems like the sims 4 team was LACKING.
The sentiment that making ANY game playable offline is impossible is absolutely fucking bogus. Literally whenever you start making a game, you start with OFFLINE prototypes, the online functionality needs to be added later and pretty much never is (nor should be) crucial to how the game works
Everything EA said was "impossible" or more difficult was always because they hoped they could fleece younger generations for all they could.
@@sufficientphrase7769 If a modern game dev says something is "impossible" it's just their way of saying they are too lazy to actually put effort.
It depends. If the game is exclusively processed server-side it's much more difficult to pull it off because of the lack of server-side source code, and SimCity isn't one of them. They used the server just for cloud saves and online DRM.

I still play The Sims 3 JUST for its Open map !

I played The Sims 4 before The Sims 3. I was so overwhelmed, and I was like omg I can’t imagine how UNDERwhelmed people were going the other way around.
In total, you plus those people combined must have been just whelmed.
Yeah I played sims 3 first and then tried sims 4 with a few packs. Played it for a few days and then left it because I was bored.
I had no clue Juno made a Sims eyeshadow palette 😱
the Desprets are sort of canonical, they're part of the like background Sims of Sims 2 but they also show up in some names.
I'm surprised Moschino didn't have a dishonorable mention too 😅
@@faepan the loft windows save the moschino pack but its on thin ice
honestly I'd love if they made a couple videos talking about the bad stuff for every single pack lmao
Sounds exactly like what Nintendo did to Animal Crossing New Horizons.
There is a ton of stuff to do. I've never understood how people can make that complaint. It's mostly bugged, but there is an overwhelming ton of things to do.
@@ceanaofthecragsare you referring to the base game? Or do you mean there’s a ton of stuff to do once you’ve spent hundreds on DLCs?
XD
Edit: I had mistakenly said that it was an official poll.
I remember that! I specifically voted for family gameplay
Not because I want the sims to fail and be replaced, but because I think competition will force it to improve

see, the emotions system is actually a really subtle piece of storytelling- every sim has a mood disorder, and it's a very well done, nuanced depiction of daily life with this overwhelming mental health issue.
And that fact that after the window incident EA’s response literally included the word « paneful »
unforgivable
Are you French? Just curious
And I think most people would have overlooked the absent window, if it hadn't been the fact that at this point, stuff like this was just a long running issue with EA. With every pack, with every update, it's something, something doesn't work, something wasn't included, something was rushed with poor quality. It's just straight up disrespect at this point.

@@crochetdogtrainer Exactly!

Sims 4 always felt like the sims just sat around waiting for me to interact with them
You know what you did in sims 2 sounds nice ngl

The mods did what EA couldn't like UI changes, colour wheels more mature content etc its just like you said, this game wouldn't be what it is without players and creators who have continued to lift it up for years.

honestly having played both supernatural in ts3 and with the different occult game packs in ts4, the s4 game packs leave supernatural in the dust just by fact and virtue that by focusing only on one at a time they can expand on so so much more rather than just giving us a little bit of each in a massive pack (biggest example is werewolves)
obviously that's subjective and i also agree it can taste bitter having to pay for multiple packs when you only had to pay for 1 back in 2012 (especially since not every occult is in s4) but the s4 occult's are so so much better rounded imho so it's an uneven comparison (edited bc i pressed send too early oops)
wasn't it TS3 that did vampires twice? initially in late night and expanded on with SPN??? i don't recall them doing this in TS4 at all.
53:08 i know this video is months old now but i did in fact start playing after the game became free to play. and let me tell you, all i play is build mode to make cute pinterest houses and i have cracked every single pack and kit. i honestly have no interest in the gameplay and i don't think there's many interesting things you can do building wise with only the base game, but i also had no interest in buying 60+ dlc's just for the furtniture, so cracking it is! i've been having fun playing this way but probably because i know i haven't spent a dime in this game. i can't imagine how enraged people who actually payed not only for the game but for the packs and kits feel 😭
it's a blessing that the game is stupidly easy to pirate because i cannot imagine having to fork out actual money to have the game feel anywhere near like an actual complete game. i've got all 60+ dlcs myself through completely legal means wink but even with that it still somehow feels soulless to me? the only way i've managed to make it fun is through mods and cas but not everyone can have access to those
@@obbinss absolutely. that's why i play it solely like a house building game
To be fair vampires from late night were shit. They don't have even the half of functionality from sims 4.
The same with Sims 3 Supernatural. We got fairy's, werewolfs and witches. And now everything is separate. I wouldn't be surprised if we get fairies someday.
It’s because now it’s all about money which is sad.
Ok so does anybody here play the Sims 4? I need help with something
Okay so I made a family and everything was going normal until I noticed that one of my sins was in two places at once
I then realized that my sim was cloned and now all of the others are clones too 😭
Help
@@ari_ismynameee maybe it’s a mod?
I half expected you to talk about the terrifying faces that possessed sims have from the Strangerville pack. I swear, I literally could not sleep because of it for one night and fell asleep in class.
Yo, did you make your own PFP? Or use a Picrew? Either way, I really like it!
@@pleasehelpmee8884 thank you so much! I made it myself in Gimp!
@@StomeAura ooo that’s so neat!
🤗🤗
The moods are so true my sim could mourn their lover who died right in front of them only to become happy again when they walk into a really decorated room seconds later. Since the moods overtake EVERYTHING it ends up becoming less nuanced than sims 3
Seeing old lgr footage throws me back to how disappointed he was and how much more depressed every dlc made him
rip to that chopped up doll that he ended up setting on fire bc of the amount of stuff packs 😭😭
