Out of all the raids I still like Ulduar the most, it's just so important lore wise and gives us a lot of information about the titans. Plus the atmosphere is amazing and has all of the gigantic rooms and doors.
That's also the one time they got difficulty settings perfectly right and the concept of algalon as this extra boss at the end of it was frosting on this cake of awesomeness, seriously
+Jonathan Dahlberg You got Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker? I love Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker because Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker is just so cool how cant you like Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker

"I am the lucid dream. The monster in your nightmares. The fiend of a thousand faces. Cower before my true form! Bow down before the god of death!" favorite boss quote of ALL time.
TheLazyPeon and this ''Your fate is sealed. The end of days is finally upon you and ALL who inhabit this miserable little seedling. Uulwi ifis halahs gag erh'ongg w'ssh. ("The shadow of my corpse will choke this land for all eternity.")''
Dev Lightning Your fate is sealed! the end of days if finally upon you and all who inhabit this miserable little seedling! Uuluwi ifis halahs gag erh'ongg w'ssh!
Hsephela Well, maybe that would be better. I know it's selfish, but I think the game would be better that way. Sad Blizz only sees WoW as a cash machine now.
Vicente P Raiding Mythic now is harder then anything pre-Wotlk and catch up methods are great for returning players or guilds recruiting them, gone are the days of destroying guilds to get geared players.
Really shows you the difference in progression... back in BC - about 14 days /played to hit level 70 (from my experience), then normals/heroics/rep/crafting for gear, then Kara, Gruul/Mag, Serpentshrine, TK, Hyjal, BT, Sunwell... And now it's 100 in less than 2 days /played, gear thrown at you, then a couple of raids and it's done. Seeing top raiders back in the day gave you a real goal to push for... it's hard to muster such enthusiasm now. It may be more accessible for players, and many may argue that "I payed for the content, so I should be able to experience it", but that leaves nothing left to strive for.
WAK Muffin Burning Crusade is when I was really really into WoW. I totally agree with you. I loved the way raiding worked back then. It felt like all my hard work paid off when I finally saw that gear piece drop and could move on to raiding. It definitely felt like a journey to get to that point. I hope Blizzard can go back to something like that in the future.
nice video, I joined WoW within a week of it being released. I spent literally months raiding with my guild in MC and BWL, battling Onyxia, Naxx and eventually AQ, my last memory was being in the only guild to be attempting C'thun. Real life took over, I quit, returned months later and after a brief foray into the BC I never went back again. My best memories were taking down Rag in MC along with Nef in BWL, the whole server would celebrate when one of these first got took down. I was on Terenas and I used to raid with Sanctus Mortis, Corebound and Headhunters.
I Beta tested Naxx in vanilla... I took a 7 year hiatus after BC, but I can't imagine anything ever being harder than 40 man Naxx. I would LOVE to see Karazan rehashed... it was the first time you had such a fun and personal raid. My best raiding memories stem from that place...
ICC is definitely my favorite. The lore, the aesthetics, the music. Everything. "Frostmourne hungers!" The shivers... Karazhan is a close second. Medivh's tower. One of my favorite character's in the lore. I really hope he makes some sort of appearance in WoD. He originally opened the dark portal and his former apprentice is playing a central part in this expansion. Now we've seen Garona, his um, "lover." You mentioned the wrathgate. Such a badass cinematic. "Did you think we'd FORGOTTEN?! Did you think we'd FORGIVEN?!" I know that's not a boss fight, but man, the feels. They picked the best voice actor too. "DEATH TO THE SCOURGE AND DEATH TO THE LIVING!"
Icc feels overrated to me, but Karazhan seems like the best raid ever to me, I didn't play in TBC but it seems to be the raid i'd want to experience, more than any other.
Shame I didn't play WoW sooner. I came in at the end of Panda and BRF is currently my favorite. Yeah the environments can be dull but the mechanics are crazy!
Well, I've always thought that ICC is a little bit overrated. I enjoyed the raid, but mainly because it meant going for Arthas (the main thing of the instance); let's be a little objective; The music of the place is not...remarkable at all. Once again, only Arthas' encounter has something with it. Maybe Syndragosa too, but well, they are only two of the...12 bosses? Mechanics; Arthas is interesting and challenging as hell. Yes, Arthas, once again. I love the visual appear of Marrowgar, but it was a damage fest, after all. The next boss too. Saurfang, more of the same. Anyway; there were some interesting and curious mechanics, like Lana'thel. And I even got to throw some bosses in hc during the patch. Raid's visual; I consider it really, really, boring. It could have been much more than "plain" edgy walls and...more grey edgy walls. It felt like going to the same room ten times, just changing the guy in the middle. Lore: Arthas. And Arthas. Saurfang a bit too, Syndragosa "meh". But that's it. Once again, it's all about Arthas. Firelands has really really good lore in what bosses refers. Black Temple too. And a lot of other raids not in the list, too. It wasn't a bad raid at all. But everyone is just "man ICC was the best raid ever because we took down Arthas!", but I think that in the end it's not that incredible of a raid, and I got really bored once I got there a few times. Giving my opinion, Black Temple is my favourite instance.
Michael Valentine So you pick a completely linear and pretty boring raid with one good boss (Illidan) over an entire raid full of lore intense characters? Ok then
First of all. Yes, I do. I don't consider ICC much less "linear" than Black Temple, although Black Temple had different visuals (first the underground part, the interior, the more blood elf side, the cracked ground, different types of enemies with nagas, orcs of every kind, demons of every kind, blood elves and spirits). And it has good lore in a lot of characters; Teron, Akama's shadow, Naj'entus...and others without that much lore but quite interesting like the Faces. The soundtrack was great in my opinion, really really great, (EDIT: they even used a fragment of the Black Temple's OST for the first trailer of Wrath of the Lich King) and even the place itself has it's point. Damn, the fact of watching different types of orcs conspiring for the supremacy of the Black Temple, and even beginning their own "scourge" (like in the pre-Teron pulls); I consider all that interesting. The mechanics weren't really surprising, but I had fun with moving Supremus, being kicked the fuck away by Mother, changing strategies in Faces, and controlling Illidari Council, not to mention that Illidan itself was a pretty tough boss. And the hype when you got to see the warglaives, or the...nostalgia? Of watching the loot and finding "Tyrande's memento".... (Arthas had Invincibile and the Menethil's mace, I know, but those were "high-end" loots, anyway, the loot is a minor detail, however). The Black Temple really impressed me, both as a lore fanatic and as a PvE player. It wasn't boring to "grind" weekly. Anyway, what do you think? Which bosses of ICC had that much lore to make you think it was "intense"? Saurfang? Syndragosa?
Michael Valentine Clearly u didnt pay attention to the icc lore then because Syndragosa was the lover of malagos aka the god dragon of the blue dragon flight. Which she was wounded in battle by the scourge flying back to the tower for her to not make it and die. Which is a factor why malagos went insane. Also then Syndragosa was resurrected by Arthas himself for her to lead the army as the general of the scourge.
+Michael Valentine "The music of the place is not...remarkable at all." Aaaaand you lost me. I mean sure, it's not... EPIC... but it's so dark, and so atmospheric... it was amazing.
Peregrine Sorry, but if I can't remember a specific melody (even if it's more on a..."subliminal" level) I can't consider a soundtrack something totally worth remembering. It might be well fitting for a zone, but it's not at the same level as other themes.
lol I own 15 WoW books. Don't even get me started and your wrong. They don't have very big roles in the lore. Saurafang being the exception. Even though it was just brezzed Saurafang. Also the comics aren't cannon so I don't even bother.
CloudStrife893 Deathbringer Saurfang and his father are huge lore characters... and Overlord Saurfang plays a role in the gunship fight, which has its lore between horde and alliance following on from the icecrown daily quests. Sindragosa is a big deal, so is Prince Keleseth, Valanar and Taldaram. Lady Deathwhisper is the overseer of the cult of the damned, who we had a lot to do with particularly around the Argent Tournament. etc etc etc. The others are quite important too, even if some of them are only some of The Lich King's greatest creations... that's still cool. We dealt with more decent lore characters in the 5 mans that came with ICC, Marwyn, Scourgelord Tyrannus and his frostwyrm Rimefang, who we killed right before Sindragosa in ICC. Damn dude you really don't know your lore. The Wrath of the Lich King expansion having SO MUCH lore is one of the reasons the game isn't as popular as it used to be, people don't understand why they're doing shit anymore. Oh let's not forget Valithria Dreamwalker and Ysera... a whole story there to be spoken of... *sigh One last thing - the wings are unholy, frost and blood. OMG DEATH KNIGHTS + LICH KING + LORE = MIND BLOWN. (Putricide, Rotface, Festergut - unholy. Valithria, Sindragosa - frost. Blood Prince Council, Blood Queen Lana'Thel - Blood) ICC is most certainly the best raid ever. And it's full of lore. GG
Great list Lazy Peon i just subbed to your channel, you do some great WoW videos :) I say my favorite raid is Naxxramas, it was my first ever raiding experience back in Wrath ^^
Ulduar > the rest Ulduar is by far the best raid ever No HC , normal or LFR difficulty just a normal raid where you can activate if you want the Hard Mode. The gameplay was epic back then in the days of Ulduar...
TBC gearing was awesome and it really felt like journey. I went from scrub (not even right build nor rotation) in heroics through average joe in KZ and Grul to off-tank in TK to main tank in T6 raids and my tanking journey ended up in WORLK when i used to be main tank in progress guild :) I think they should bring this back somehow
Sorry everyone is still recovering from the taste of Shit left in our mouths from Silithus, also AQ 40 is home to 2 of the stupidest mechanics of all time Twin Emperors and Vicidious.
I liked Zul'Gurub, Kara, AQ40, BWL, Naxx, SSC, TK, dang let's just say all raids prior to Cata and even some there and beyond. World bosses are also some of my favorites, like Doom Lord Kazzak and Sha of Anger. WoW is such an awesome game! ^^
***** Dude. Did you even play a warrior back in Peanut Butter? They started with a fucking longsword and it had 2-4 DPS. That was the most insane weapon in the game. Some say it was even better than the broadsword.
I cant argue with your opinion of the top 7 at all. My list would switch places of 1 and 2 but that is personal as Kara was my first completed raid. Nax 40 was never completed by me ...
As a lore my absolutely favorite raid is dragon soul. As a gameplay Molten core. I remember when i had to taunt with the other tank the sons of flame and kite them around the Snail-like area. We never killed Rag tho but it was great experience even to reach him despite the endless add fights.
Why the fuck is ICC so high? It was boring. And Firelands was a piece of shit raid. Sure, it looked nice, the atmosphere was exquisit even, but almost every goddamn fight was full of raid-wide AoE damage bullshit for the entirety of the fight. Healing that was a pain in the ass.
Comical ICC is so high because it has by far the best built up to any raid of WoW. Literally every expansion built up to Arthas in at least some way, same for WC3. Couple that with a raid that was amazing, maybe not as tecnically great as ulduar mind you, and a final boss fight that just shits on everything else Blizz created, it's kinda obvious why it's a the top.
awww no love for BWL. I love BWL to this day. It was the first time we actually got MECHANICS aside from "don't stand in this" and even today the first two bosses can easily kill you, if you have no clue how to do them. The only thing I never liked about BWL is that between Broodlord Lashlayer and Chromaggus everything got really really lazy with three identical dragons next to each other. But the Nefarian fight was amazing in itself. Having to HAVE a special cloak that prevents you from burning to death is itself just really cool.
I remember the last time I did Black Temple, that was a year ago, I never went sent back there... I had to give my friend the only warglaive I needed left :'(
HOW TO SOLO ULDUAR?!!! I've soloed all the old content raids except this one. I can't get past the first boss. Takes me like 1-2 hours just to take down all the pillars alone and I can't take down the boss without multiple tanks. ._. It's so heavy mechanics based.
I just go through with demo and kill all the dwarfs I can along the way, clear what I missed at the end, saving pyrite or getting any that I may have used at the end, hen just 1->2->1->2 and when all the pyrite is used its ticking for about 10 mil or something like that, then all the damage done before hand the first boss is 25% still having some pyrite ticks, then I just do as much damage as possible before siege is broken then just go balls to the wall on boss, I play hunter so I suppose I have an easier time with the knock backs and such
i just started playing wow and I'm very experienced in mmorpgs but why does everyone say it takes 2 days to be lvl 100? I've put like 35 hours in non stop training and I'm like lvl 42 and it was extremely difficult to do. i literally didn't stop training once and my gear I'm assuming is extremely shitty because i have no idea how to get good gear or how to make money
+Tony C Heirloom's (Increases your damage and exp gained Can only get these if you have a max level character) Exp Gain Pots (Some drop by rares, etc) Or. You could just buy level 100 for 60 dollars and get max level instantly.
I always wished there was more to End Time and the Infinite Dragonflight. I'm personally hoping that a later patch in WoD will feature their return, considering how the entire expansion is structured around time- and dimension-traveling. The disruption caused by the orcs wouldn't go ignored by the Bronze and Infinite Flights, so why not get them involved?
While I have nostalgia for vanilla and loved molten core, I'd still say Blackwing lair was one of the best raids ever. Introducing the gate keeper kiting mechanic, the first boss that was a pure dps race and killed paladins though bubbles up to the epic finally against Nefarian where most classes had a cool mechanic involved. You even had to far a cloak for the boss from Onyxia. the only let down is Chromaggus if you had a dispel button. That said, Ulduar should have gotten number one as it's the best hands down! ICC seams better because of how much of a let down Trial of the Crusader was (the pvp fight was cool but that's about it). ICC is top 10 worthy but not the best IMO.
I never knew BRF and TOT would be on here, I mean, they were GREAT raids, but I find people complaining about the new raids often, even if they are great.
These raids are good, but molten core, Onyxia (level 60) and blackwing lair will still always be my top 3 raids. been playing wow since the very first day it was released. Yeah I've taken a few breaks from the game but warlords of draenor brought me back. But yeah the 40 man raids were awesome.
I miss having colors besides brown, black, and fire red in my raids. I have enjoyed the raids this expansion so far, but I have not really enjoyed the lack of color. It is especially bad in BRF because I feel like I am running through Siege of Orgrimmar again.
Agree with most of these and I do know why most people love ICC but for me it never did feel as amazing as for others apparently. Now, don't get me wrong. The Lich King was an amazing fight, the Healer boss was a genius concept and I love fighting Frost wyrms. Sindragosa, Arthas and the sleeping drake are awesome fights. My problem is with the aesthetics for the first half and the gunship. Ok, the idea of an Icy raid was a given. Duuh. Lich King. But the 2nd half spiced it up so well that the first few bosses in ICC always felt so repetitive just because of the icy-ness. I really enjoyed ICC, but I never saw it as a nr. 1. Just my 5 cents. My fave is and will probably always be Ulduar!
Enragement Child I don't like the accessible part that much. Every raid was used for progress raiding back then.. And guild's got stuck in different raids. Guild's did the same raids without progress for weeks / Months simply because they were not able to kill a boss ( Best part: People was staying in the guild for the progress ).. In Wrath, after each new raid release. They released Heroic 5m with similar gear from the last raid Tier. AND you were able to pug the raids quite easily on Normal. On top of all this: The game was more social back in vanilla and TBC and the forums got used more
Wrath was a good expansion. and its number 2 on my list. Vanilla and TBC share number 1.. Wrath did give us Heroic raids. So hardcore and softcore players was able to enjoy the game and thats a good thing for the overall player base. The destruction of WoW happened with the release of Cata. Blizzard just made the game worse and worse with each new expansion..
See I miss the days of joining guilds in order to be a badass with top gear. That was half of the fun, seeing the top guilds with the best gear. the LFR system really took the friends factor out of the game for me. I havent hardcore raided since LK days but those were so fun, getting on vent with the guild and getting to raid for better gear! I really met some great friends I still have to this day on facebook. After LK the game just seemed to go downhill and isnt as fun. Sure MOP and WOD are decent expansions and I did level a few of my characters to 100 but no end game raids for me, just not the same.
For me, without order... (exept for Karazhan which is my fav9 - Karazhan - Icecrown Citadel - Firelands - Zul'Gurub - Molten Core - Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj - Siege of Orgrimmar - The Emerald Nightmare - Sunwell Plateau - Ulduar
I consider myself lucky to have experienced the Sunwell Plateau. Never got past M'uru but everything up to then was such a blast. Even though my guild farmed the crap out of Black temple before the launch of SWP, and we were all geared at t6 level, we were not prepared. It was really a raid only for the best and bragging around Shattrah with SWP gear felt exceptionally satisfying.
I never raided with a guild pugs soured me . And I have not played sence mysts of pandora you. Decided to start plaing again. Hope I have a better time this Time around. Wish me luck.
pretty well list, tho i wouldnt put icc nr1 anymore, i could solo it with my rogue long be4 i could manage to solo ulduar... which make think whats really hardest to finsih
Agh, Naxxramas. I'm fortunate, my friend took me on a guild run through there mid TBC. Took me a hour to find the place I was lucky I even got invited lol, I was only like level 64. I hardly remember it, all I remember is a giant eyeball and tentacles.
so im new to WoW and im a bit confused as to how these raids and story-centric quests work. There are seriously story quests that my character will never get to play because i had to be there at a specific time? Or can my character still play older raids and instances from past expansions and vanilla?
attunment for Kara could be skipped if you had a rogue with max lvl lockpicking (back then it was rare for rogues to have max lock picking, but i did, and never got the attunment key). The rogue could just pick the lock to the door, and let the rest of the raid in. Also, notice of your top 10, 3 were in Wrath? The hay day of WoW was wrath.
My favorite raids: 10. Throne of thunder 9. AQ10 8. Black Temple 7. The sunwell 6. Ulduar 5. Firelands 4. Mogu'shan Vaults 3. Baradin Hold 2. AQ40 1. Dragon soul More than an honorable mention: Zul Gurub & Zul Aman revamped DUNGEONS Yes I am a VERY big fan of Cataclysm, /ignore the haters
My top list of WoW raids is as follows : Firelands , ICC , Dragon Soul , Ulduar , BRF , HFC (first 3 parts) , SoO (after the panda stuf) , Molten Core , Onyxia's Lair (MORE DOTS!) , The Black Tempel , Naxxramas and the Throne of Thunder (nothing is in order so the first one isnt persay better then the last one . @TheLazyPeon
Fun fact, Karazhan was supposed to be a Vanilla raid. 1.) Only TBC raid that's located in Azeroth aside from Zulaman 2.) The Deadwind Pass zone and the tower itself were in Vanilla WoW and you could go there but not enter 3.) The legendary staff Atiesh Greatstaff of the Guardian's on use ability would create a portal to Deadwind Pass They probably ran out of time or resources during Vanilla so they saved it for the expansion.
I think it was pretty logical that Firelands was released in Cata, but not Abyssal Maw. Abyssal Maw more like would be better to be released on a watery expansion. Cata was more like a fire expansion itself.
This list is really strange! The community is not worthy raiders it seems, proberly the kind of people whining on forums and making content more accessible and boring.
I really want to see a raid similar to Temple of AQ or Ulduar but involving N'Zoth. The overarching feeling of epicness and grandeur with anything Titan related ends up becoming a really awesome "journey" like feel in terms of raiding content.
I get the hate for DS but it was a personal favorite because I found the raid to be a lot of fun. Throne of Thunder though takes the cake for me. Just so much variety.
Here are mine; 10: Blackwing Lair (Vanilla) 9: Black Temple 8: Bastion of Twilight (Heroic) 7: The Siege Of Orgrimmar (Heroic) 6: Karazhan 5: Naxxramas (Vanilla) 4: Throne Of Thunder (Heroic) 3: Ice Crown Citadel (Heroic) 2: Blackrock Foundry (Mythic) 1: Ulduar (25) Firelands should not be on this list. Blizz started failing to deliver content beginning with this tier. Heroic Blackwing Descent was way more fun.
My Top 10 Favorite Raids 10-AQ 40 Man 9-Tempest Keep 8-Sunwell Plateau 7-Dragon Soul 6-Black Temple 5-ICC 4-Blackrock Foundry 3-Ulduar 2-Siege of Orgrimmar 1-Throne of Thunder Honorable mentions go to Blackwing Lair, Firelands, and Kharazhan Dishonorable mention goes to Battle of Mount Hyjal
10 - i actually enjoyed most of MoP raids so i have no problem this being on here. 9 - BRF was really good and mechanics was fun and sadly tho the 20m requirement for mythic killed my guild but the raid was nice. 8 - i did not play BC so i never really got to experience this in current time just cleared it in easy mode 7 - I LOVED this raid, It was the ONLY bright spot in Cata, it was BEAUTIFUL and great boss design. The only thing i hate is like u said missed Abyssal Maw raid which i think Vash is phenomenal zone and well designed if the player base got over fear of swimming they could appreciate how great it was. 6 - Again never played in BC only cleared it was a high level, sadly the only expansion i have missed was a amazing one. 5 - SoO was a GREAT raid...one of the best i played and it was NOT totally linear just mostly you could choose between Spoils, Kalaxxi & blackfuse also it brought me together with some of the best people i have played with sadly we was just a tight knit 10m that never could evolve to 20m and caused all but me to quit WoW :(. 4- Naxx Vanilla or LK? i came back in LK but i actually hate this raid in LK i faced it in vanilla, never killed anything but year, i found it boring and annoying 3 - BC raid again :( did at a later date. 2 - Ulduar was a very good raid, i actually enjoy'd it alot thought was very diverse boss design with everything feeling fresh. 1 - ICC was good but idk it was the nerfing that blizzard did killed it for me and it started the whole Q.Q this is hard and blizz nerfs it.
Although I have been playing WoW since the release of The Burning Crusade, My first ever level appropriate raiding experience was Ulduar. I remember it fondly, but because of how awe inspiring it was. I never did ICC level appropriate, and to me I was actually kind of sad about that. So much so, that I still haven't stepped into the raid. Maybe I will someday... who knows. I haven't raided in a few years now... and I may get back into it. The WoD raids look appealing, and I may just go into LFR sometime, after I practice again with the LFG for Dungeons. It's been a long time since I've tanked a dungeon, and I'm looking forward to giving it a go again.
I begun playing WoW just about when Wotlk released. I remember I played at friend's in BC but I never passed level 20. My first 80 character. What a journey. I hit 80 after like 15 days /played and I went to every zone and quested like you did back then. I remember so well at around level 20 when I saw someone with a blue gear piece. I was like '' what the hell i want that too!''. I got boosted in a dungeon and received a blue item and was so happy and the level 80 character that helped me gave me 10gold and I flew of my chair. Damn fucking fantastic game.
Out of all the raids I still like Ulduar the most, it's just so important lore wise and gives us a lot of information about the titans. Plus the atmosphere is amazing and has all of the gigantic rooms and doors.
Wow Jedi I'm guessing we will.
That's also the one time they got difficulty settings perfectly right and the concept of algalon as this extra boss at the end of it was frosting on this cake of awesomeness, seriously
well the titans are dead.... yeah, maybe odyn if he gets corrupted by old god nyzoth
great list =)
only thing i would add is the mighty lvl 1 Hogger raids, Fun times XD
Agreed :) hardest raid in the game
I heard it had the greatest transmog in the game
Big Matty Did Hogger mythic, Ashbringer didnt drop though :(
***** Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker dropped when I did Hogger heroic. :D
Arthas=Anakin Skywalker
*****
To be fair Arthas was a pretty big idiot to.
Giant Elemental: "Don't come closer, the sword is cursed."
Arthas: "OUT OF MY WAY, I NEED THAT SWORD!"
Muradin: "Arthas we shouldn't touch that sword it's cursed!"
Arthas: "I would pay any price to protect my people, even my own soul!"
Muradin: "B-But without a soul ye won't even be able ta protect anything, not even yourself."
Arthas: "..........." -kills Muradin and becomes the Lich King-
He wasn't really smart. I mean, going to Northrend overall was pretty stupid.
J20p00 Except Arthas never got to redeem himself like Anakin did when he saved Luke bla bla bla. :) But other then that, they we're pretty much alike
Lich king= Sauron
J20p00 Arthas Icewalker.
Obi-Tirion Kenfordring.
Ulduar is the best raid ever, it's so unique, diverse, epic and massive
"I am the lucid dream. The monster in your nightmares. The fiend of a thousand faces. Cower before my true form! Bow down before the god of death!" favorite boss quote of ALL time.
LightningDragonGamer Agreed :D
TheLazyPeon and this ''Your fate is sealed. The end of days is finally upon you and ALL who inhabit this miserable little seedling. Uulwi ifis halahs gag erh'ongg w'ssh. ("The shadow of my corpse will choke this land for all eternity.")''
Wow Jedi yeah it is.
Wow Jedi a snake
Dev Lightning Your fate is sealed! the end of days if finally upon you and all who inhabit this miserable little seedling! Uuluwi ifis halahs gag erh'ongg w'ssh!
ICC will always be in my heart
I really hope they do something with Karazhan too. I miss that place.
Epic raid by far the best they've ever made
+PixelCatGamer they have confirmed that karazhan will have a big impact in legion
PixelCat karazhan was the shit.. the chest boss was like free gear lol
They should get rid of LFR and catch up methods. Make raiding and leveling hard again. Also professions should be worth it again.
The game would lose millions of subs in the first week-month, far too many casuals play
Hsephela Well, maybe that would be better. I know it's selfish, but I think the game would be better that way. Sad Blizz only sees WoW as a cash machine now.
Vicente P i know, it sucks
Vicente P Raiding Mythic now is harder then anything pre-Wotlk and catch up methods are great for returning players or guilds recruiting them, gone are the days of destroying guilds to get geared players.
Plus the the subscription numbers will very slowly dwindle
The funeral raid should be number 1
lmao
agree talio!
Arai That would be WORST raid unless you're an inconsiderate cancerous wart on the ass of society.
Caoimhe Gibson
that would be a great raid if people knew what a fucking joke was...
😂😂😂
WAK Muffin Totally agree with you dude
WAK Muffin Burning Crusade is when I was really really into WoW. I totally agree with you. I loved the way raiding worked back then. It felt like all my hard work paid off when I finally saw that gear piece drop and could move on to raiding. It definitely felt like a journey to get to that point. I hope Blizzard can go back to something like that in the future.
WAK Muffin what about mythic?
Is far less rewarding than a difficult raid with only 1 difficulty.
WAK Muffin
you probably didnt ever did anything in mythic did you`?
nice video, I joined WoW within a week of it being released.
Top 3 is in the wrong order.
1. Ulduar
2. Kara
3. ICC
You have got to be kidding me, Ulduar shit all over ICC.
lol true
Yeah, the idea of killing Arthas did quite a bit of heavy lifting for ICC more than anything else. Ulduar, as a whole, was a much better raid.
Now we've seen Garona, his um, "lover."
You mentioned the wrathgate.
Well, I've always thought that ICC is a little bit overrated. I enjoyed the raid, but mainly because it meant going for Arthas (the main thing of the instance); let's be a little objective;
The music of the place is not...remarkable at all.
+Michael Valentine "The music of the place is not...remarkable at all."
Aaaaand you lost me.
I mean sure, it's not... EPIC... but it's so dark, and so atmospheric... it was amazing.
Peregrine Sorry, but if I can't remember a specific melody (even if it's more on a..."subliminal" level) I can't consider a soundtrack something totally worth remembering. It might be well fitting for a zone, but it's not at the same level as other themes.
problem with Icc is outside of the Lich king there was hardly any lore on alot of the bosses.
I guess u don't read any of their comics
You are so wrong, if you had read any lore you would know sindrigosa is a huge charather and the same with saurfangs son.
lol I own 15 WoW books. Don't even get me started and your wrong. They don't have very big roles in the lore. Saurafang being the exception. Even though it was just brezzed Saurafang. Also the comics aren't cannon so I don't even bother.
CloudStrife893 How many raids have many huge lore characters as bosses? Usualy it is just last fight.
*sigh
One last thing - the wings are unholy, frost and blood. OMG DEATH KNIGHTS + LICH KING + LORE = MIND BLOWN.
(Putricide, Rotface, Festergut - unholy. Valithria, Sindragosa - frost. Blood Prince Council, Blood Queen Lana'Thel - Blood)
ICC is most certainly the best raid ever. And it's full of lore. GG
The lack of Ahn'Qiraj is disturbing. :/
That wasn't even a raid. Though to be fair, it could have been before Blizz scrapped the idea.
Yes it was a raid.. AQ IN VANILLA
+thaloh the fuck you on about m8? there's AQ 40 and AQ 20
Greydi_of_Pax It had the worst tier gear ever and was just overtuned
Gotta agree that offing Arthas off back in Wrath was one of my favorite moments. I am glad to have voted for ICC, and Ulduar. Best raids. Ever.
Great list Lazy Peon i just subbed to your channel, you do some great WoW videos :)
I say my favorite raid is Naxxramas, it was my first ever raiding experience back in Wrath ^^
Karazhan
Looool! no vanilla raids except Naxx? Its clear that not alot of vanilla players voted on this ^^
Ulduar > the rest
Ulduar is by far the best raid ever
No HC , normal or LFR difficulty just a normal raid where you can activate if you want the Hard Mode.
The gameplay was epic back then in the days of Ulduar...
Iceblast1995 coulnd't agree more, Ulduar is a legend
Iceblast1995 there wasn't any LFR back in the WotLK ;)
TBC gearing was awesome and it really felt like journey. I went from scrub (not even right build nor rotation) in heroics through average joe in KZ and Grul to off-tank in TK to main tank in T6 raids and my tanking journey ended up in WORLK when i used to be main tank in progress guild :)
I think they should bring this back somehow
Highmaul and BRF were phenomenal raids
My favorite raid is Firelands since it was my first real raiding experiance raiding it while it was still new content and i had a blast doing it
AQ40 is not even on the list. SHAME ON YOU!
Sorry everyone is still recovering from the taste of Shit left in our mouths from Silithus, also AQ 40 is home to 2 of the stupidest mechanics of all time Twin Emperors and Vicidious.
Tommy Nyholm Shit tier pieces and overtuned fights are not good
I liked Zul'Gurub, Kara, AQ40, BWL, Naxx, SSC, TK, dang let's just say all raids prior to Cata and even some there and beyond. World bosses are also some of my favorites, like Doom Lord Kazzak and Sha of Anger. WoW is such an awesome game! ^^
Can’t believe that people are still playing this classic game...
My top 10 raids:
1. [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
***** Dude. Did you even play a warrior back in Peanut Butter? They started with a fucking longsword and it had 2-4 DPS. That was the most insane weapon in the game. Some say it was even better than the broadsword.
***** Although the xpac was not too good, I am still proud of my full tier Watermelon set for my Warrior.
Where is Hogger? That son of a bitch has killed me more times than any of these pathetic raid bosses.
1. Ulduar
2. Karazhan
3. Sunwell Plateau
4. Tempest Keep
5. IceCrown Citadel
6. Black Temple
7. Naxxramas
8. Blackrock Foundry
9. The Firelands
10. Throne of Thunder
I cant argue with your opinion of the top 7 at all. My list would switch places of 1 and 2 but that is personal as Kara was my first completed raid. Nax 40 was never completed by me ...
I love how he kinda foreshadowed Kil'jaedens return lol
Never was in Karazhan before but this video made me to go there with all my characters and guess what, mount droped :D
needed 2 runs for both glaives, got kicked from my guild for that ^^
+Lukas Janik 10/10 worth it.
Comical Healer like it rough, especially in the ass. They are priests after all.
Comical ICC is so high because it has by far the best built up to any raid of WoW. Literally every expansion built up to Arthas in at least some way, same for WC3. Couple that with a raid that was amazing, maybe not as tecnically great as ulduar mind you, and a final boss fight that just shits on everything else Blizz created, it's kinda obvious why it's a the top.
i spent alot of time to get that damn key to Karazhan and also to Scholomance.
I'm glad they removed attunement, especially if it's still there even 3 expansion are out after it's expansion
Didn't they say Kil'Jaeden is not dead yet?
Nuka Cola Yea that's what I thought, thx for confirmation.
awww no love for BWL.
I just go through with demo and kill all the dwarfs I can along the way, clear what I missed at the end, saving pyrite or getting any that I may have used at the end, hen just 1->2->1->2 and when all the pyrite is used its ticking for about 10 mil or something like that, then all the damage done before hand the first boss is 25% still having some pyrite ticks, then I just do as much damage as possible before siege is broken then just go balls to the wall on boss, I play hunter so I suppose I have an easier time with the knock backs and such
Just destroy the last 2 pillars, then move on to the boss room. Dont worry about the trash.
Just rush right to the boss and spam 2 til hes dead they nerfed the shit out of it u dont have to do any towers or anything
Hold one, I'm sorry? So what you're telling me is that the WoW community votes SoO over sunwell plateau?
i was only ever in karazhan, but atleast i was in karazhan.
i just started playing wow and I'm very experienced in mmorpgs but why does everyone say it takes 2 days to be lvl 100? I've put like 35 hours in non stop training and I'm like lvl 42 and it was extremely difficult to do. i literally didn't stop training once and my gear I'm assuming is extremely shitty because i have no idea how to get good gear or how to make money
+Tony C Heirloom's (Increases your damage and exp gained Can only get these if you have a max level character) Exp Gain Pots (Some drop by rares, etc) Or. You could just buy level 100 for 60 dollars and get max level instantly.
Heirlooms, I'm new to wow too (lvl 95 ret pally, nearly 96) but heirlooms speed it up, the full set, by like 100% I think.
+Rune Scape heirlooms increase exp by 45% with the full set.
I love ICC purely for Putricide, I love him?? My favourite raids are ties between ICC, Ulduar, BRF, Kara and Firelands. Shoutouts to Naxx too
I always wished there was more to End Time and the Infinite Dragonflight.
Leeeroy Jenkins!
*Oh my god, he just ran in.*
*BONESTORM* !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Onyxia= LEFT SIDE MANY WHELPS NOW HANDLE IT! FUUUCK!!!!!!
like your videos peon :)
I will never understand why people like icc more than ulduar
1. Ulduar
My fave is and will probably always be Ulduar!
great video once again mr. Peon, offcause i'll be tuning in for the next stream!
1: Karazhan
2: Black temple
3: SSC
4: Gruuls lair
5: Mag lair
6: TK
7: Naxx. 60
8: MC
9: BWL
10: Onyxia 60..
After TBC the game become shit :)
Kim Gran Wrath was still pretty good, more accessible, but still the same old good old WoW. Then the fire(land) nation attacked tho.
Kim Gran Thumb down.
Johnny Good Sorry i offeneded you by saying wow is bad basically. I just don't like a casual games with hand holding..
TheLazyPeon is love, TheLazyPeon is life
HconPlays
My Senpai....PLZ NOTICE ME!
For me, without order... (exept for Karazhan which is my fav9
- Karazhan
- Icecrown Citadel
- Firelands
- Zul'Gurub
- Molten Core
- Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj
- Siege of Orgrimmar
- The Emerald Nightmare
- Sunwell Plateau
- Ulduar
+darkpaw1 darkpaw1 That might just be C'thun.
In Naxxrammas?
Back when TheLazyPeon was good
Grape rip
He is talking about the armour sets the mechanics and I'm just like "I thinks it looks pretty
the firelands really reminds me of oblivion from tes4 :P
so im new to WoW and im a bit confused as to how these raids and story-centric quests work. There are seriously story quests that my character will never get to play because i had to be there at a specific time? Or can my character still play older raids and instances from past expansions and vanilla?
Karazhan was my fav!
attunment for Kara could be skipped if you had a rogue with max lvl lockpicking (back then it was rare for rogues to have max lock picking, but i did, and never got the attunment key). The rogue could just pick the lock to the door, and let the rest of the raid in.
Also, notice of your top 10, 3 were in Wrath? The hay day of WoW was wrath.
lol i dont know anything about wow, i haven't even played it but. i still love your videos ^^ :) keep it up
My favorite raids:
10. Throne of thunder
9. AQ10
8. Black Temple
7. The sunwell
6. Ulduar
5. Firelands
4. Mogu'shan Vaults
3. Baradin Hold
2. AQ40
1. Dragon soul
More than an honorable mention: Zul Gurub & Zul Aman revamped DUNGEONS
Yes I am a VERY big fan of Cataclysm, /ignore the haters
My top list of WoW raids is as follows : Firelands , ICC , Dragon Soul , Ulduar , BRF , HFC (first 3 parts) , SoO (after the panda stuf) , Molten Core , Onyxia's Lair (MORE DOTS!) , The Black Tempel , Naxxramas and the Throne of Thunder (nothing is in order so the first one isnt persay better then the last one . @TheLazyPeon
Fun fact, Karazhan was supposed to be a Vanilla raid.
1.) Only TBC raid that's located in Azeroth aside from Zulaman
2.) The Deadwind Pass zone and the tower itself were in Vanilla WoW and you could go there but not enter
3.) The legendary staff Atiesh Greatstaff of the Guardian's on use ability would create a portal to Deadwind Pass
They probably ran out of time or resources during Vanilla so they saved it for the expansion.
my guild was in mt hyjal when the nerf came to bt we never got into sunwell though i didnt even do it till lvl 90-100
First....
kara was my first raid and by far my top raid
I'm sorry, but I never really like any Wrath raids xD
I have one problem with Kara, a certain "boss" I'm sure you know already.
my top 5:
AQ(im not joking)
ICC
the thunder throne
Ulduar
Kharazan
Seriously i must start raiding...gr8 vid...👍
Karazhan was my first raid. Best raid ever!!! Even though some people don't like recycled content, I'd love to see Mythic Kara.
I think it was pretty logical that Firelands was released in Cata, but not Abyssal Maw. Abyssal Maw more like would be better to be released on a watery expansion. Cata was more like a fire expansion itself.
he hardest raid ever made was naxx 40 in vanilla only 21 guild cleared
+Tatsuya Sensei Only 21 guild cleared? guess i was one of them the, 24 guilds alone cleared Naxx 40 before pre TBC was launched on my server.. lmao
This list is really strange! The community is not worthy raiders it seems, proberly the kind of people whining on forums and making content more accessible and boring.
What do you think of Lord of the rings online?
I really want to see a raid similar to Temple of AQ or Ulduar but involving N'Zoth.
The overarching feeling of epicness and grandeur with anything Titan related ends up becoming a really awesome "journey" like feel in terms of raiding content.
Seriously? No BWL? No AQ40?
For real?
i hope u make more wow content sir
I get the hate for DS but it was a personal favorite because I found the raid to be a lot of fun. Throne of Thunder though takes the cake for me. Just so much variety.
I didn't raid nax but I did help my bro when he was doing it so I sort of did it lol it was so hard tho
Here are mine;
10: Blackwing Lair (Vanilla)
9: Black Temple
8: Bastion of Twilight (Heroic)
7: The Siege Of Orgrimmar (Heroic)
6: Karazhan
5: Naxxramas (Vanilla)
4: Throne Of Thunder (Heroic)
3: Ice Crown Citadel (Heroic)
2: Blackrock Foundry (Mythic)
1: Ulduar (25)
Firelands should not be on this list. Blizz started failing to deliver content beginning with this tier. Heroic Blackwing Descent was way more fun.
My favorite raid list.
(10) Throne of Thunder. (MOP)
(9) Blackrock Foundry. (WOD)
(8) Firelands. (Cata)
(7) The Battle For Mount Hyjal. (TBC)
(6) Zul'Gurub. (Vanilla)
(5) Molten Core. (Vanilla)
(4) Black Temple. (TBC)
(3) Ulduar. (Wotlk)
(2) Icecrown Citadel. (Wotlk)
(1) Naxxramas. (Vanilla)
My Top 10 Favorite Raids
10-AQ 40 Man
9-Tempest Keep
8-Sunwell Plateau
7-Dragon Soul
6-Black Temple
5-ICC
4-Blackrock Foundry
3-Ulduar
2-Siege of Orgrimmar
1-Throne of Thunder
Honorable mentions go to Blackwing Lair, Firelands, and Kharazhan
Dishonorable mention goes to Battle of Mount Hyjal
10 - i actually enjoyed most of MoP raids so i have no problem this being on here.
9 - BRF was really good and mechanics was fun and sadly tho the 20m requirement for mythic killed my guild but the raid was nice.
8 - i did not play BC so i never really got to experience this in current time just cleared it in easy mode
7 - I LOVED this raid, It was the ONLY bright spot in Cata, it was BEAUTIFUL and great boss design.
4- Naxx Vanilla or LK? i came back in LK but i actually hate this raid in LK i faced it in vanilla, never killed anything but year, i found it boring and annoying
3 - BC raid again :( did at a later date.
