Jaithys, the Prison Blade from sanctum of domination was pretty unique as well. It would also say things like some of the others mentioned on the list Zul'farrak from classic wow also had a pair of swords that would drop from the bosses. If you got both, you could combine them to make an epic sword with a pretty neat effect
There used to exist a pair of fist weapons, from Zul'Gurub. They were a set. The bonus set would give you chance of a proc that gave a LOT of attack power... but more importantly, you'd transform into a giant anthropomorphic tiger... similar in shape to the lion in the Karazhan TBC opera event. But this weapon was in vanilla. I have them, but they disabled the bonus set so i can no longer turn into a giant cat-man. It was so funny to use during wotlk random heroics and get lots of whispers from people "WHAT WAS THAT?!" lol
What about Atiesh? it gave group buff AND you could make a portal to Karazhan. Also gives the wielder special graphical effect of ravens flying above your head.

Fun facts about the Gavel of the First Arbitor. When the season started it wasn't simming properly, so most people thought it sucked. Leading to a lot of groups just skipping killing the Jailer on reclear because they thought it didn't drop any good loot. And for Unholy DKs the little add that spawned allowed them to trigger the Execute portion of their 4 set bonus on pull. For +20% pet damage for 8 seconds. Giving them even crazier on pull burst DPS than they already had.
I had gotten the gavel three times, once through the weekly quest where you have to finish 4 mythic dungeons (it was the first of the tier) to get heroic raid gear, second by killing the jailer (it was the Aotc run) and then again on the mythic dungeon weekly.
Not EVERY Deathwing weapon had an effect… the agility dagger just had haste and mastery with no proc or effect, but that’s because the legendary Rogue daggers came from Dragon Soul and so it wouldn’t have made much sense to have any kind of competing weapon from Madness, especially because the legendary daggers were so powerful. That said, Gurt’halak was really only having secondary stats away from being a legendary itself, that sword was NUTS. Give it a full secondary stat budget on top of the proc and it could have been orange.
Fangs of the Father effect was actually crazy if u think about it, it allowed you to cast two 5cp finishers in a row back to back which was crazy strong
Top 10 most unique trinkets. I stopped playing in BFA and I would imagine trinket effects got more crazy than stuff like Soul Capicitor from Hellfire Citadel since then
I dunno if I would put any artifact weapons on a list like this other than honorable mentions since everyone gets these weapons by default. Thunderfurry is still good for time walking dps or tanking, and talgosas rest I feel like is bis for casters like shadowmorne is for strength users.

I’m very partial to Cut of Death from King’s Rest. If memory serves, it was in fact one of the highest dps weapons for 2H IF you could get one at Ny’Lotha item level rating as the bleed was insane, making your weekly loot box have a lot of suspense tied to it in case you get the sword
Unguent Caress was a crazy weapon. It was the corruption fist weapon that dropped from Ra-den during BFA, that had Lash of the Void. Getting two of those would be insane damage
I didn't know about Benediction/Anathema but it sure is like the PvP talent that let's you either switch to holy or shadow "stance" with similar effects to the staves too somewhat.
Gurthalak also procced off of Paladin seals, too - so there were times in Cata that I had 6+ tentacles up with hefty haste and proper usage. It was ridiculous.
The cleaner spawned during benediction quest line also spawned for the hunters quest line. It was immune to everything. It used to be kitted to capital cities. It was only killable in wotlk with dk who could only kill him dying themself and letting the cleaner despawn on their own
They really need to make it available to "transmog" the effects of items/weapons onto different things. I run a trinket on my monk that is from Emerald Nightmare at all times minus pushing on raids just to use the effect for RP.
Idk.. I have been voicing that they should allow/rework old set items/bonuses and introduce tokens to level them up, like having current stat tier 3, Or tier 6.. like, keep making new sets but open playability of old tiers. Mix and match bonuses, etc.
Also to add to number #6 the Fire Cat form was given a graphics update in Dragonflight season 3 so it looks modern and really cool. Definitely their best Cat form outside of the Ghost Cat artifact appearance from Legion that you can't get anymore.
Quick note for the artifacts at number 9; The Maw of the Damned would also emote that it tugs at your wrist as you approached Kil' on the ship and once you beat him I think it emotes or says something about revenge. Been a while but I for sure know it happened.
The funny thing about Gurthalak was that Fury Warriors could use a heroic and normal or normal and raid finder version and do more damage than if they used Heroic Gurthalak with a heroic Ataraxis, or Normal Gurthalak with a Normal Ataraxis. Because the internal cooldown was based on item level. Plus, you would get to spawn more tentacles than any other melee DPS.
