Great video fam. Other honorable mentions I'd add: • ff1+2: safe approaching mid with great tracking on 2nd hit. • wr2: fast +5 high that guarantees a follow-up on hit and can also transition to DES. This will make them want to duck. • ff4: safe chunky mid knee for when they try to duck wr2 or d3. Has good pushback at tip range.
Alisa is actually a lot of work imo! I know most won’t believe that, but it’s true! Everyone is just on the Alisa is OP bandwagon at the moment.. Lidia coming out soon will fix that 😅
She's not too much work, but like a lot of people say, she's absolutely not broken. She's still fair for the most part, but I'll still be seething everytime I face her lol. Good video
Thank you so much for this guide! I would say this guide is the missing piece or lesson for me to improve as an Alisa Main/Player, this would help me a lot! You're awesome, Buffy!
I absolutely love uf2. It’s not a cover all but if I notice people stepping a lot when I run up I start using that. I’ve also only ever used ws3,3 by accident but I might need to start intentionally using it.
@@virdaen7977 uf2 is incredible! i almost made it #1.. but f2,1 is just crazy. I recommend using ws3,3 more often especially by a wall on oki. Let me know how it goes! Thanks for watching 😃
Thank you for the video! I’m a super new Tekken and Alisa player, so your videos and this has been helpful to figure out what I should be doing. I was wondering if you have any Alisa or general Tekken tips. I can usually shred when it’s “My turn” so to speak, but I find it really hard to break out of disadvantage. I don’t really know what to do when pressured since after I block some attacks, I usually go for a 1,1,1+2 but that doesn’t always seem to break out of pressure. Also, sometimes I can land a Down 3, Back 1, or a Down 4. Should I try to follow up on these? Thanks for the work and the content!
Having played against Alisa every day since Tag 2, it is safe to say she has never been stronger. Insane movement Insane damage Most moves crush low including heat smash which is also a psycho crusher Can literally outspeed most moves in neutral just by pressing 1+2 and remain safe Chainsaws can start their own damn Wikipedia page on Utility I'll never understand Victor's or DVJs nerfs in the face of this android killing machine 😂
@@PaleRaida13 this is definitely the strongest she’s ever been! it doesn’t require much to win with her these days, but i won’t complain 😆 They did mention she’s on the nerf chopping block next patch tho!

@@NathanSimp DES stands for destruction stance aka chainsaw stance! you can manually enter it by pressing d1+2. F1 is an abbreviation for forward 1 (pressing forward and 1 at the same time) 😁 Maybe there’s a guide for Tekken Notation for Beginners if you search that up!
i really hope not! I’m optimistic we may keep it since they already had it on their radar and nerfed it a bit.. i hope that was enough. Alisa is usually the balance queen! if they nerf f2,1 anymore i fear she would not be as strong.
b1 lost its properties as the no.1 move because everyone had more moves that has better properties on block or on hit. doing b1 as a keepout move with mishimas is risky because of ff2 being a heat engager. i would rather do f2 because the game supports agression more than being turtly.
Agreed, Mishima ff2s are spammable in T8. They were slightly nerfed in 1.05. Now there’s less pushback on block, so you can do a forced 50/50. But Alisa isn’t really a 50/50 character (except in chainsaws). b1 still has nice properties at medium range. You can both backdash and sidestep after it’s blocked to fish for whiff punish launch. And it’s still +8 on hit giving you a mixup between ws3,3 and shoe shine. Also in T8 the high crush (tc12) in b1 is great against high power crush heat engagers. b1 hits the power crush slowing it down. Then power crush whiffs and b1 recovers in time for you to get a guaranteed hopkick whiff punish. Really nice mid check if opponent is -2 or more. Jabs get crushed, trades with i13 df1 (at -3 beats it clean) and beats lows and high power crushes gets launched. It also has a good hitbox. There are some situations where opponent uses a -2 mid and jabs afterwards as df1 can’t beat it, but b1 does. It also is a good OS against some stances. f2 has tiny big more range, but you can’t backdash out of it. It has chainsaw entry and heat engager followup. Which is only -10 on block and it launches in heat. f2 is indeed very strong in T8. Definitely a top 10 move. But it is 2 frames slower and doesn’t high crush. They are not in the same category. Different uses. I play Alisa still in T7 style. Poking to create whiffs and launch with b4,4. b1 and db3 fit this style. I fully agree that d4 is the best low today. Jailing followup is stupid good. And only -11 on block. So fun to spam d4,1+2 against power crush spammers.
I don’t really use dual boot that much. Opponent can buffer a rage art or heat burst. Instead I chase them with the new DES forward dash (usually do DES f1 after dash). If they buffered a rage art / heat burst, I can press d3+4 to cancel the dash immediately and block those (works with DES sidesteps too). Cancel animation has built-in block. I just feel it’s more safe. That’s why I wouldn’t put any dual boot moves to top 10, but I guess that’s just play style difference.
Dawood still loves b1. In this tournament match he does four b1 crouch cancel to another b1 in a row. ua-cam.com/video/Xp_TvfwXjqo/v-deo.htmlsi=LZ9f8m4VbfZCXB-c
