I was getting my stained teeth cleaned every 3 months until the dental hygienist recommended Hello toothpaste. Now I go every 6 months for the check-up and a brief cleaning. I don’t know what the ingredient is that works so well.
What do you think of brushing your teeth with a mixture of warm water, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda? Like half a cup of water and 1/4 teaspoon of the rest..
here is my researched, non-DDS, inexpensive recommendation: 1. sodium percarbonate for 5-10 minutes, occasionally as needed. this is non-diluted "oxy clean", which is basically hydrogen peroxide. this will get on your gums (which is why i only recommend using it for a very short period of time) but it works great, gets in between/behind ALL of your teeth, and is so cheap. all you need is maybe 1/4 tsp. 2. Dr. Sheffield’s Certified Natural Toothpaste (Extra-Whitening). this stuff is crazy! i noticed how well it worked on the first use. i only use this toothpaste now. i'd also recommend using some type of nanohydroxyapatite for remineralization.
It's genetics. It didn't matter what she did. I had a patient (dental) in his 90's with all of his teeth. No fillings, no decay, no gum disease. But his mouth was heavy with build up... like an artifact brought up from the ocean floor by treasure seeking divers. It didn't matter what he did or didn't do.
Hi Kevin, what do you think about root canal teeth? I've heard they may be toxic because they are dead and decaying slowly. People can defelop a lot of strange non-specific symptoms as years go by? It is true. I am thinking of pulling my molar with root canal... Hope to hear from you or from other followers soon... Thank you
Ora Wellness brand remineralizing powder called "Shine". They found a nice by-product is that it also whitens teeth! I've been using it for years. No side effedts. Highly recommend! Lots of reviews online. This brand has been a lfiesaver for my oral health for probably a decade now. My dentist now only sees me once a year and says if all her patients' teeth were as well-maintained as mine, they'd be out of business 🦷
Thank you, for sharing this information. I went to the website and discovered a whole new way of caring for teeth and the mouth. I appreciate the generosity of your comment. I am ordering it!
So I started to use the whitening strips and I am getting white spots on my teeth. Some look like fluorosis, but other spots look like new plaque? I have scaling tools and already scrape at my plaque a lot, maybe more than I should. I scraped at this newer looking plaque and fear I am damaging my teeth, and it's not really plaque? Could it be parts of my teeth that were demineralized?
So, in USA whitening is a standard procedure, in the rest of the world not. Interesting. - I am in Germany and here people are hesitant to treat their teeth with chemicals. What is your answer to this? And is it really useful, if you have to get this unnatural result done again and again? Why not accepting the nature? I understand, its considered beautiful, but for me beauty is nature. Of course i would do something against stains from coffeee or cigaretts, but the rest is nature.

But peroxide makes my teeth hurt like crazy. I have hyper sensitive teeth. So how did you manage it? And did you use the peroxide found in any drug store?
Awesome video, really helpful! Any suggestions for herbal teas that won't stain teeth? I've heard rooibos is pretty safe, wondering if there are other options.
Anything that would stain a white shirt can stain your teeth. It depends on frequency and duration of contact of the liquid in question. Also... your teeth are much more susceptible to staining during and about a week following tooth bleaching.
what about coconut oil and xylitol for healthy teeth and whitening? i.e. oil pulling. I use coconut oil and xylitol twice a day and water with Himalayan salt for pulling at night
My teeth are too sensitive. Even with strips I can’t handle more then 2 days in a row. My teeth hurt badly! I did gel in the past. Lasted one day. Let’s stop talking about “sensitivity”. Let’s be honest. It’s extreme pain, that lasts 2-3 days. People faint because of this pain! I was even using special extra relief sensitive toothpaste 2 weeks prior. I wish doctors wouldn’t say sensitivity. It’s pain! Plus it burnt my gums and now I have receding gums issue.
Love your info! Are there any considerations for a front root canaled dark tooth that fell out and is holding on with glue? (dental glue). I want to whiten it as much as I can myself before seeing an expensive bio identical dentist next yr or the yr later.
Great info! Wonder if hydrogen peroxide helps with ulcers from biting the inside of the mouth? Haven’t found anything that speeds healing those painful things… hate it when I bite the inside of my mouth- I know I’ll have 2 weeks of a painful ulcer to follow 😣😣
The last 30 years of research in the area says "no" though I'd still be cautious of not overdoing it (and potentially over demineralizing tooth enamel).
What are your thoughts on eating too much protein and that creates too much amino acid Combined with anaerobic bacteria and that causes tooth decay and bad breath.
@@searching-for-truthno, he means all vegeteables, fruits, and grains. Those all have either starches or straight up sugar. Both starches, and sugars will be fermented in your mouth by lactic bacteria, that create lactic acid. Lactic acid dissolves your enamel, and causes decay. If you eat any carbs (starches, fruit, grains) you should brush your teeth right afterwards to avoid this issue.

What do you use Dr. Kevin to keep your teeth white? Thanks!
Hey Kev, what are your thoughts on the materials used in Essix retainers (using them overnight to keep teeth straight)?
I met an 89 yr old woman with all her teeth white and shiny. She told me she’d used nothing but Ivory bar soap since she was a child born in Kentucky.
Sailor washing that mouth out lol😂😂 wonder if true but that taste 😮

They don't (I mention this toward the end of the video, talking about "considerations before whitening")

Liquorice root powder is great for brushing teeth, it's naturally antibacterial.
