    This combo gave you sooooo much definition!

    • @NaturalRaeRae
      @NaturalRaeRae  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, it did give definition, but I also noticed more tangles on wash day because of the curls being so separated and not clumped. That's why I don't prefer the shingled effect. Thanks for tuning in.

    I personally like the look that the combo is giving you, but it's your hair, so you do you.

    One of my favorite combos is Obia Naturals Curl Enhancing Custard with Uncle Funky’s Daughter as the base. I also use I Create Hold as a topper. It gives me definition, hold, moisture and it lasts all week.

      Thanks for sharing!! I just recently picked up I Create Hold. I plan on trying it over UFD, but I may I'll try Obia, as well to see what results I get. Thanks for tuning in.

      @@NaturalRaeRae Make sure you add a little water to the I Create Hold. It activates it and will then glide on smoothly. Also with UFD make sure your hair is soaking wet. It helps eliminate the stickiness and use like a leave in, not too much. Good luck.

    Love all of it! The shine, definition and the shingled look with the long process of shingling. 😍 I understand that’s not what you like though, but your hair is pretty.

    Great wash and go! I have never tried the kinky curly gel with the obia naturals curling custard. I have tried the obia by itself and I liked it! I do like your shingled look, it makes your hair look longer. However, I agree the clumped look with your hair type may have the edge. Thanks for sharing these products!

    Love your glasses. Your curls are small, but the results turned out great. I like the clump curl look too. I have both of those products and I have to try that combo. Can't wait to see what the results will look like on my hair. I like her video What The Kink. Thank you for doing this video.

    You’re welcome! 👋🏾 Lookin’ good! You mentioned the amount of Obia. I can only get 1 full wash and go out of a jar. 😂 I actually use quite a lot.

      Hey Girl! Thanks for tuning in. It was actually a great wash and go, I just prefer the clumped look over the shingled look. At least now I know how I can make the Kinky Curly work for me if need be.

    Looks good, but I can never get kinky curly to work, it gives too much frizz for me. I really loved your obia naturals and camile rose curl love combo…thank you for saving my hair from wetline 😅. What products give you that “plump curl” you mentioned in this video?

    • @NaturalRaeRae
      @NaturalRaeRae  Рік тому

      Not sure in what context I was using it, but most gels that I use give my curls a plumper look than Kinky Kurly. If you go to my wash and go playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLkj3qVtFj6ueNex5beR98J38kNtBQUul_.html you'll see the difference in how my hair clumps with different gels.

    I also prefer the clumped look vs the shingled look..
    And Kinky Curly just doesn’t do it for me either..
    I also totally feel you on the hair feeling moisturized if it’s humid out Vs the dry heat.. Botanical gels don’t give me consistent moisture..
    I do wish we could have seen the application but TFS regardless!!

    Your hair looks very nice. My favorite gel combos are kinky curly or UFD topped with Obia Naturals custard. I do recommend using less kinky curly and more water. Kinky Curly has a serious learning curve.

    • @NaturalRaeRae
      @NaturalRaeRae  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you. Yes, water is the key.

      @@NaturalRaeRae Good luck going forward. I've been using kinky curly for over 10 years. My first couple of times was a hot mess. Less product and more water also helps with the Ramen noodle look.

    • @JNante
      @JNante Рік тому +1

      @@belindasanders1719 I've also been using KCC since they 1st came out. You are correct it is a learning curve. It only takes a little product, lots of water and shaking my head with a little bit of styling to get the full result I want.

    • @belindasanders1719
      @belindasanders1719 Рік тому +1

      @@JNante Exactly! I messed up the application too many times ☹️. I've been using the system off and for about 11 years. I learned early on that the leave in contains no water and should be applied on wet hair. I use very little gel to get my desired affect.

      I haven’t used KK yet with Wetline, however, I used UFD curly magic & wetline and I was PLEASANTLY surprised (it also gave me 7 days of a wash & go)!😁 I figured being as these botanical gels are so similar (and instead of you wasting the KK give it a try).🤗
      p.s. Please let me know how you get on when you’ve done it.☺️
