Hyundai has definitely done some more tuning to this system for the 24 models. I had the same system in my 22 Sonata, and the new one sounds much better, even though on paper it's the same system. Bass is tighter and goes deeper, highs are way more crisp! Also the Centerpoint toggle used to be under "premium sound", but was moved after an update.
hyundai doesn't do the tuning, bose does! They have their own engineers actually make all the filters, but they do work closely with the manufacturer of course
even the Meridian sound system from Kia 2022 models sounds better after a firmware update you need to keep your Hyundai and Kia updated to get improvements and fixes.
is this the first Hyundai with an A tier rating? Hopefully other Hyundai's will also get these better sound systems since I don't care about SUVs nor do they sell them were i'm from.
Have you driven any Teslas? Especially the 3/Y? People constantly rave about how good the sound system. Its not branded but its super obvious tesla did a lot of R&D or outsourced to another compnay to tune and select the speakers for their audio systems. My family owns a Y and i think its a 15 speaker system. Firstly it doesnt not get as loud as many other systems. But its clarity, crispness, fullness, and fidelity it top notch. Easily sounds better than 90% of branded systems Ive heard. Obviously people could be bias but i dont think they are lying. But it would be awesome if you could do a test on one to confirm if its good or not!
@@TheUnreadableUser He could just get one to test drive from a Tesla studio. Sometimes if you talk to the manager working there, they may even let you keep the car overnight. Or maybe ask people in the comments section to share their car? I'm from the metro Detroit area and would be happy to lend our car for an afternoon/evening on a weekend.
Tesla just recently started doing press loans again in certain markets, and I am in one, but I asked for a press loan and they declined. I also visited a Tesla store to try and shoot the refreshed Model 3, but they only allowed a short test drive with a store associate in the passenger seat. That being said, I do have a Model Y sound test from our personal car a few years ago. ua-cam.com/video/-SvTG3cjm4g/v-deo.html If anyone has a newer Tesla that they'd like to lend for a few days in Orange County, CA, I'd be happy to review it!
You are doing all audiophiles a great service.
Heck yeah, you are appreciated Charlie! These reviews are so appreciated! Thank you!
I do agree that they improved the sound. It sounds much more clearer and precise, and the bass is more precise too.
Ordered my N Line a couple weeks ago and super excited. The sound system is reallyyyyy good.
Out of the Hyundai product lineup, the Sonata is something worth getting and not many on the road.

Love! your content 👍
Definitely a redemption for Hyundai after the pathetic Ioniq 6 sound system.
I wonder if the new infotainment software and hardware is improving the sound. The older unit was pretty slow and was probably holding back the audio.
Can you confirm if gapless playback is supported in USB audio mode? Thanks!!!
Try 2025 civic hybrid Bose next please 🙏🏼
Will definitely get into one!

I believe so, and I agree!
Can you test the 2024 Tucson without the Bose system? (Every trim below the Limited)
Unlikely, but maybe the '25
Can you test the Lucid Air Surreal Sound Pro system? If you can get your hands on it of course.
Will try!
I know this test was done with the N line trim but would the sound be the same with the SEL trim?
Similar, possibly slightly better because it'd likely be quieter inside.

The thing is that there are no Tesla press cars. Charlie always tries to get his hands on Tesla's, but as a brand Tesla isn't very marketing-focused.

@@TheUnreadableUser And yes Tesla doesn't even have a PR. They don't do marketing much which is annoying

Like, what do you expect, it's a Sonata. It's supposed to sound good no matter what.

No '24 yet.
Hyundai seems to be a hit or miss. I would say this is a hit
I'm sorry but driving behind a pick up truck with refrigerators strapped to the bed is final destination type crazy.
