3 months ago I purchased a Kona 2024 Limited and have been overwhelmed with all the features. This video is fabulous and can't wait to go check some things out!
I have the car for 2 months, I really like the car and it's really comfortable. I came from Mercedes for comparison. When seeing the car in real life, it's a big car, bigger then I thought but that's totally fine. The front is big when looking out of the front seat but you get used very fast. The drive is great, quite and very comfortable. Seats are fine and I find it better to sit higher then in the Mercedes for comparison. The car is high and the seats are high. If you think 0-100 in 10 is slow, well turn on Sport mode and it will in 7 sec. It is a really nice car to have. Overall I have some minor "issues" with infotainment and the car. You experience it too? 1. The physical home button don't react directly to go back to the homescreen when you turned the car on recently. When you driving for some random minutes it just works again and it keeps working during the ride. Reason unknown. 2. When mute the sound (audio etc.) via the mute button on the steering wheel it does mute the audio. When turning the car off and getting back for a new ride the muted audio turned back on. Reason unknown. 3. When muting the audio using the physical button (next to the home button) it will mute audio. When the audio is muted when you used the physical button the volume control on the steering wheel doesn't work. Reason unknown. 4. When using adaptive cruise control the car can change the speed limit by the speed/road signs the sensor will pickup. While setting the feature to automatically change the speed limit it doesn't work all the time. Sometimes when you enter the highway it will change the speed automatically for you. Somehow something when it detect a speed limit it only give a bleep sound/notification and you need to manually confirm the advised speed limit. It's still unknown when does it change automatically or manually 5. When using the radio and listening to a radio station using DAB+ or FM the volume between DAB+ and FM is totally different. When a radio station uses DAB+ at first and it will change to FM later, the volume trough the speakers is increased. It's noticeable. 6. The wipers (front) are set to AUTO. The wipers doesn't always turn on when it rain, if not.. you still need to activate the wipers manually even if it's set to AUTO. This is random.
Great video. Could you do the same video on the ELECTRIC Limited trim. Strongly considering car and would love a thorough run-thru of the tech. Thanks.
I have the same screen. My digital radio station has stopped showing one of the local main radio stations, does anyone know how I get the digital radio to rescan all channels again? Hopefully the lost station finds itself again. Thanks for any advice.
Hi. Usualy when i unlock the door and go in the car i could ear a a little welcome music ; same when i was opening the door to leave the car. Now this welcome music is down. What should i do to have it back. thanks
Hey is there a way we can change the cluster colour when actually signed into a profile. It’s only working when we are signed into guest and not our actual profile.
💯 Agree that the icing on the cake would have been to enable Google Maps to be utilised through the instrument cluster and the heads-up display. Can someone pass this on to Hyundai 😂
Just got a 24 Kona, did you figure out how to turn on the reorder menu order? Mine is greyed out. Would rather have the radio on the left and map in the middle. Also the map on the split screen is dark, any idea how to make it white
Awesome Review! I have the new Kona Limited and learned a few new things from your video. The only thing I'd like to see, (as I had the ability on my 2021 Kona Ultimate) is the ability to see my mpg info displayed at the same time as my vehicle blind spot info, while driving. I know before it was possible as they had the HUD option showing all the safety/ navigation information as you drove off of the small pop up screen, while you had the Mileage/ trip odometer / mpg info displayed in that center portion of the main dashboard. I miss not being able to see both at the same time. (Unless you know of some setting where I can display the Mileage/ mpg info on that center portion & have it show the blind spot warning at the same time, Please share!) Thanks again for such great information.
Thanks for the feedback! I don't believe you can see MPG while the BSD info is on the screen. Of course the mirrors have the light in them but I don't think you can display that on the cluster simultaneously.
It looks like this model has alot more on the screen than tlthe SEL for examole the car pay and notifications. I also have noticed that the android auto isnt always reliable on Sunday i had to pull over 3xs to get where i needed to go while utilizing the maps.
Hi i just got 2024 Kona in the united Kingdom and have seen i dont have a mode where i can watch netflix when parked, in media i can see a greyed out cinema logo at the bottom. i cant seem to find anything online about it. Does this car have netflix/ other streaming services or not?!
I inadvertantly must have turned this on: my radio stays on now when I turn my 2024 Kona SEL off. I'm afraid I will let it on and drain my battery as I don't drive my car every day. How do I fix this?
I haven't played around with it too much yet only had for 2 weeks but as far as I can tell no. I am even wondering if this is even the same model. I have hyundai kona sel 2024
I would disagree with it being more useful. Google Maps provides real time updates and although some features of the build in system provide real time data, it's often not quite as accurate. The on-board systems do all talk to each other so integration is good but as far as actual navigation, not much can beat Google Maps.
@@CarsMadeSimple first, On-board navigation also provide real time informations(traffics). And support OTA. second, Google maps isn't good for drive. third, You don't even use new navigation and you just say it's bad?
@@rinbine2713I have a Genesis G70. Their Nav is good, but doesn’t provide things like weather warnings, speed trap alerts, and satellite view (handy when looking for a particular parking lot, driveway, or landmark not visible on a plain map). Plus, Google is updated much more frequently than updates release for Hyundai/Genesis, so in my growing city in Florida, Genesis nav sometimes leads me astray, missing a new service road or having speed limit data wrong. Yesterday it failed to alert me to a new roundabout in the dark and it snuck up on me on a 45mph road (it was around a curve) and at 5am, I was accustomed to going the limit. I nearly messed up! Google has the roundabout. Genesis circa 2022 does not.
LUV my new Kona preferred 2024 model.I just hate the head rests and will remove them from all rear passenger seats to be able to see my rear view. Sorry Hyundai.
too much of electronics and alarms, every 1km/h over the speed limit endless dinging except if you go into settings . And repeating that after every start .. not realistic in short distances. Nice car, but all those safety features should have option to be disabled per user permanently.
I agree. Sick of hearing that ding sound if I go over the limit just a little. There is a way of turning it off in Settings but then it comes back on after restarting again. Also how do I make the map display not looking black? Thanks
Unfortunately, warning signals (also visible and audible to the driver) have been made mandatory by the government from 2024. If the manufacturer of each car does not provide this, the car manufacturer risks liability. So file a complaint with… your government if you don't want to take the trouble to turn OFF the systems and - for example - permanently exceed the permitted speed.
@@jansjoerdkramer6262 Or pick up a next car where that is possible. One think is a feature other is a choice and being practical to use it. and here Kona failed

Great video, very informative 👍🏼 I wish that Hyundai would allow drivers to replace the tachometer with something else, say, turn by turn or compass.

What's the mesh pad to the left of the cluster? (where the speedo and rpm is) it looks like a square. What is it?! ❤
It's actually a magnetic pad in most vehicles with the cloth material!
There's nothing behind it?! What's it used for?! Literal magnets? Lol I have never heard of car magnets.... Just... Fridge magnets....
I need your help please, how to change the cluster design to traditional design or other shapes .

Does the SEL have that blind spot camera
No 2 pressed unlock door in Australia which is disappointing. Or will this be enabled with software updates?
