Buddy this video is incredible. The amount of work you've put in here to highlight such an enormous list of tracks, and how faithfully and accurately you've played AND recorded / produced them... unreal. Thanks for this! If only because it gives me so much new music to hunt down and listen to.
I quote your comment 100%
4:00 not still waiting, it's over my head (better of dead)
This video show's how underrated the bassplayer is.
A bass is so much more than the missing link between guitar and drums! 😀
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
Thanks man, I appreciate the continued support!
Been a guitar player my entire life, but have always played the bass on the side for a friends band. Finally decided to pick one up myself and I will be going through this entire list! Amazing job!
Good luck with it!
The fact that you included San Francisco, and many other overlooked bass lines, is why this channel is the best
Thanks so much!
Love seeing A Wilhelm Scream in there, that bass line always gets me hyped!
That sum 41 song was Over My Head, not Still Waiting. Besides that, great video
VERY underrated channel. This video was amazing and you highlighted many bands I never heard of.
Great playing and great bass tone! Listening rn with headphones and that bass is punchy without being over the top. Nicely done 👍🏼
Really enjoyed this ☺️ I haven’t played bass in a few years and decided it was time to get back into it so this video was a great inspo for new songs to learn. White man in Hammersmith Palais has always been one of my favourites to play!
I love how clean and focused your playing is. Great job! One other feedback tho - you should have played that Waiting Room by Fugazi on Sterling, the original is very clearly played on Music Man. Thx!
Thanks! The clip for Waiting Room is taken from an older video, so at the time, I didn't actually own a Music Man.
Brilliant 👏, some of my favourite tracks in there, keep videos like this coming 👍
Great video, one bit of feedback though, I think the backing track is a bit too loud in places. I'd love to hear more of the bass come through cleanly. Other than that, great effort!
Really glad that She's In Parties made this list :)
Love that you included "The Death of John Smith." But only one NOFX bass line?
All punk bassists already know most of NOFX lines I think
@@iuriizubkov230 well, by that logic a lot of other band's lines shouldn't have been on here either.
@@rome8180 that was just a joke, but I think on this chanel it has been enough of NOFX bass lines already. 🤔
The right use of bass guitar! ❤
Wonderful basslines to some classics!
I'd love to know what you do to make the drum beats.
🤘 I just program them myself. I think I was probably using Superior Drummer 2 for this one. Hope that helps!
That Sting Ray is absolutely stunning btw 😍
Your videos so inspiring, every time i watch one of your videos i want to play
Who wrote the song Babylon at 8 minutes in? Searching for it and can’t find it anywhere…. Excellent video!!! I’ve watched it like 10 times lol
Thanks! Should be Bad Brains if I'm remembering correctly.
Great video! very complete!!
Always loved the intro of still by rufio
he plays it completely wrong though. Love this channel, but had to call that part out.
Stuart is my favorite Green Day bassline too
oh man - you got A Wilhelm Scream in there . top notch!
For Sum 41 it’s over my head
3:48 That's not Still Waiting, that's Over My Head (Better Off Dead)
Never thought I'd see the Specials on a punk video
A bible of awesome punk and indie bass lines.
Awesome! 👏
Amazing video. Also that Elliott smith shirt is dope as hell.
Thanks man!
This is amazing, truly an awesome bassist
Loved the video. but I noticed that the Sum 41 song isn't Still Waiting. It's Over my Head (Better off Dead)
You are a saint for the time stamps
Haha yeah it took awhile to do 😂
It brings a tear to my eye that Leftöver Crack made it onto this video
EVERYONE GET UP AND LET'S GO
Pleasantly surprised to hear an R.E.M track in there
Missing Much the Same - Skeletons, furthermore an awesome video!
Mr. Coffee is now my favourite warm up song next to Gigantic by The Pixies and Seeman by Rammstein
My goal is to play like him 😅🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
This rules and you're awesome at bass.
Thanks, I appreciate that!
Thank you!
Sick sick sick.
What picks do you all use for shreddy fast stuff like this?
Thanks! I use the orange Dunlop ones - 0.60mm I think.
Husker Du needs more love!
Hi!!
Can you put tab The Death Of John Smith?,Ill really appreciate it!
Missing some RKL, but still ove the vid
Oh wait nvm
😂
Wow...amazing...
i love punk, any tips for starting out on bass
I'd just learn a handful of your favourite songs, and you'll start picking up certain tricks and tips that a lot of punk bassist use. This video might point you in the direction of certain styles and techniques you might want to look into learning - ua-cam.com/video/LkvGwU7LziI/v-deo.html
@@SugarpillProd just watched a bit of this video and it does have a lot of useful info. thanks for directing me
@@antantantant2 Sure thing!
Brilliant vid, a lot of work gone into that, well done. There will always be disagreements and for me anything that involves tapping is not punk too virtuoso.....
Yooo 30 min are you crazy
Amazing video, but once again, Frenzal Rhomb neglected.
6:56
when i come around?🤷♂🤷♂
Holy shit

@@SugarpillProd lmfao!!!!
@@SugarpillProd I didn’t know that hahaha
How disappointing that there’s not ONE Red Hot Chili Peppers song in this listing. They have numerous songs that are pretty basic to learn like The Zephyr Song and Wet Sand.
They're not a punk band...
Interesting! Let’s be friends?
